For
Hezekiah king of Judah did give to the congregation a thousand bullocks and seven thousand sheep; and the princes gave to the congregation a thousand bullocks and ten thousand sheep: and a
great number of priests
sanctified themselves.
For
Hezekiah king of Judah contributed a thousand bulls and seven thousand sheep for the assembly, and the officials contributed a thousand bulls and ten thousand sheep for the assembly, and a
great number of priests consecrated themselves.
So there was great joy in Jerusalem: for since the time of Solomon the son of David king of Israel there was not the like in Jerusalem.
So there was
great rejoicing in Jerusalem, for nothing like this had happened there since the days of Solomon son of David king of Israel.
And
Azariah the chief priest of the house of
Zadok answered him, and said, Since the people began to bring the offerings into the house of the LORD, we have had enough to eat, and have left
plenty: for the LORD hath blessed his people; and that which is left is this
great store.
and
Azariah, the chief priest of the household of
Zadok, answered him, “Since the people began to bring their contributions into the house of the LORD, we have had enough to eat and there is
plenty left over, because the LORD has blessed His people; this
great abundance is what is left over.”
And next him were
Eden, and Miniamin, and Jeshua, and Shemaiah, Amariah, and Shecaniah, in the cities of the priests, in their set office, to give to their brethren by courses, as well to the
great as to the small:
Under his authority,
Eden, Miniamin, Jeshua, Shemaiah, Amariah, and Shecaniah faithfully distributed portions to their fellow priests in their cities, according to their divisions, old and young alike.
Be strong and
courageous, be not afraid nor dismayed for the king of Assyria, nor for all the multitude that is with him: for there be more with us than with him:
“Be strong and
courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged before the king of Assyria and the vast army with him, for there is a
greater One with us than with him.
And
Hezekiah had exceeding much riches and honour: and he made himself
treasuries for silver, and for gold, and for precious stones, and for spices, and for shields, and for all manner of pleasant jewels;
Hezekiah had very
great riches and honor, and he made
treasuries for his silver, gold, precious stones, spices, shields, and all kinds of valuable articles.
Moreover he provided him cities, and possessions of flocks and herds in abundance: for God had given him substance very much.
He made cities for himself, and he acquired herds of sheep and cattle in abundance, for God gave him very great wealth.
And he caused his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of
Hinnom: also he observed times, and used enchantments, and used
witchcraft, and dealt with a familiar spirit, and with wizards: he wrought much evil in the sight of the LORD, to
provoke him to anger.
He sacrificed his sons in the fire in the Valley of
Hinnom. He practiced
sorcery,
divination, and
witchcraft, and consulted mediums and spiritists. He did
great evil in the sight of the LORD,
provoking Him to anger.
So
Manasseh made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to
err, and to do worse than the heathen, whom the LORD had destroyed before the children of Israel.
So
Manasseh led the people of Judah and Jerusalem
astray, so that they did
greater evil than the nations that the LORD had destroyed before the Israelites.
And when he was in
affliction, he
besought the LORD his God, and humbled himself
greatly before the God of his fathers,
And in his distress,
Manasseh sought the favor of the LORD his God and earnestly humbled himself before the God of his fathers.
Now after this he built a wall without the city of David, on the west side of
Gihon, in the valley, even to the entering in at the fish gate, and compassed about Ophel, and raised it up a very
great height, and put captains of war in all the
fenced cities of Judah.
After this,
Manasseh rebuilt the outer wall of the City of David from west of
Gihon in the valley to the entrance of the Fish Gate, and he brought it around the hill of Ophel and
heightened it considerably. He also stationed military commanders in all the fortified cities of Judah.
Go,
enquire of the LORD for me, and for them that are left in Israel and in Judah, concerning the words of the book that is found: for
great is the wrath of the LORD that is poured out upon us, because our fathers have not kept the word of the LORD, to do after all that is written in this book.
“Go and inquire of the LORD for me and for those remaining in Israel and Judah concerning the words in the book that has been found. For great is the wrath of the LORD that has been poured out on us because our fathers have not kept the word of the LORD by doing all that is written in this book.”
And the king went up into the house of the LORD, and all the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and the priests, and the Levites, and all the people, great and small: and he read in their ears all the words of the book of the covenant that was found in the house of the LORD.
And he went up to the house of the LORD with all the people of Judah and Jerusalem, as well as the priests and the Levites—all the people small and great—and in their hearing he read all the words of the Book of the Covenant that had been found in the house of the LORD.
And all the vessels of the house of God, great and small, and the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king, and of his princes; all these he brought to Babylon.
who carried off everything to Babylon—all the articles of the house of God, both large and small, and the treasures of the house of the LORD and of the king and his officials.
And they
sang together by course in praising and giving
thanks unto the LORD; because he is good, for his mercy endureth for ever toward Israel. And all the people
shouted with a
great shout, when they praised the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid.
And they
sang responsively with praise and
thanksgiving to the LORD: “For He is good; for His loving devotion to Israel endures
forever.” Then all the people gave a
great shout of praise to the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the LORD had been laid.
And the rest of the nations whom the
great and noble
Asnapper brought over, and set in the cities of Samaria, and the rest that are on this side the river, and at such a time.
and the rest of the peoples whom the
great and honorable Ashurbanipal
deported and settled in the cities of Samaria and elsewhere west of the Euphrates.
Be it known unto the king, that we went into the province of
Judea, to the house of the
great God, which is builded with
great stones, and timber is laid in the walls, and this work goeth fast on, and prospereth in their hands.
Let it be known to the king that we went into the province of Judah, to the house of the
great God. The people are rebuilding it with large stones, and placing timbers in the walls. This work is being carried out
diligently and is
prospering in their hands.
And thus they returned us answer, saying, We are the servants of the God of heaven and earth, and build the house that was builded these many years ago, which a great king of Israel builded and set up.
And this is the answer they returned: “We are servants of the God of heaven and earth, and we are rebuilding the temple that was built many years ago, which a great king of Israel built and completed.
With three rows of great stones, and a row of new timber: and let the expences be given out of the king’s house:
with three layers of cut stones and one of timbers. The costs are to be paid from the royal treasury.
For I was
ashamed to require of the king a band of soldiers and
horsemen to help us against the enemy in the way: because we had spoken unto the king, saying, The hand of our God is upon all them for good that seek him; but his power and his wrath is against all them that
forsake him.
For I was
ashamed to ask the king for an
escort of soldiers and
horsemen to protect us from our enemies on the road, since we had told him, “The hand of our God is
gracious to all who seek Him, but His
great anger is against all who
forsake Him.”
Since the days of our fathers have we been in a
great trespass unto this day; and for our
iniquities have we, our kings, and our priests, been delivered into the hand of the kings of the lands, to the sword, to captivity, and to a
spoil, and to confusion of face, as it is this day.
From the days of our fathers to this day, our guilt has been
great. Because of our
iniquities, we and our kings and priests have been delivered into the hands of the kings of the earth and put to the sword and captivity, to
pillage and
humiliation, as we are this day.
And after all that is come upon us for our evil deeds, and for our
great trespass, seeing that thou our God hast punished us less than our
iniquities deserve, and hast given us such
deliverance as this;
After all that has come upon us because of our evil deeds and our
great guilt (though You, our God, have punished us less than our
iniquities deserve and have given us such a
remnant as this),
Now when
Ezra had prayed, and when he had
confessed,
weeping and casting himself down before the house of God, there assembled unto him out of Israel a very
great congregation of men and women and children: for the people
wept very
sore.
While
Ezra prayed and made this confession,
weeping and falling facedown before the house of God, a very large assembly of Israelites—men, women, and children—gathered around him, and the people
wept bitterly as well.
Then all the men of Judah and Benjamin gathered themselves together unto Jerusalem within three days. It was the ninth month, on the
twentieth day of the month; and all the people sat in the street of the house of God,
trembling because of this matter, and for the
great rain.
So within the three days, all the men of Judah and Benjamin assembled in Jerusalem, and on the
twentieth day of the ninth month, all the people sat in the square at the house of God,
trembling regarding this matter and because of the heavy rain.
But the people are many, and it is a time of much rain, and we are not able to stand without, neither is this a work of one day or two: for we are many that have
transgressed in this thing.
But there are many people here, and it is the
rainy season. We are not able to stay out in the open. Nor is this the work of one or two days, for we have
transgressed greatly in this matter.
And they said unto me, The
remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province are in
great affliction and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken down, and the gates thereof are burned with fire.
And they told me, “The
remnant who survived the exile are there in the province, in
great trouble and disgrace. The wall of Jerusalem is broken down, and its gates are burned with fire.”
And said, I
beseech thee, O LORD God of heaven, the
great and terrible God, that keepeth covenant and mercy for them that love him and observe his commandments:
Then I said: “O LORD, God of heaven, the
great and
awesome God who keeps His covenant of loving devotion with those who love Him and keep His commandments,
Now these are thy servants and thy people, whom thou hast redeemed by thy great power, and by thy strong hand.
They are Your servants and Your people. You redeemed them by Your great power and mighty hand.
After them the Tekoites repaired another piece, over against the great tower that lieth out, even unto the wall of Ophel.
And next to them, the Tekoites repaired another section, from a point opposite the great tower that juts out to the wall of Ophel.
And I looked, and rose up, and said unto the nobles, and to the rulers, and to the rest of the people, Be not ye afraid of them: remember the Lord, which is great and terrible, and fight for your brethren, your sons, and your daughters, your wives, and your houses.
After I had made an inspection, I stood up and said to the nobles, the officials, and the rest of the people, “Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is
great and
awesome, and fight for your brothers, your sons and your daughters, your wives and your homes.”
And I said unto the nobles, and to the rulers, and to the rest of the people, The work is great and large, and we are separated upon the wall, one far from another.
Then I said to the nobles, the officials, and the rest of the people: “The work is great and extensive, and we are spread out far from one another along the wall.
And there was a great cry of the people and of their wives against their brethren the Jews.
About that time there was a great outcry from the people and their wives against their fellow Jews.
Then I consulted with myself, and I
rebuked the nobles, and the rulers, and said unto them, Ye exact
usury, every one of his brother. And I set a
great assembly against them.
and after serious thought I
rebuked the nobles and officials, saying, “You are exacting
usury from your own brothers!” So I called a large assembly against them
And I sent messengers unto them, saying, I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down: why should the work cease, whilst I leave it, and come down to you?
So I sent messengers to them, saying, “I am doing a great work and cannot come down. Why should the work stop while I leave it to go down to you?”
Now the city was large and great: but the people were few therein, and the houses were not builded.
Now the city was large and
spacious, but there were few people in it, and the houses had not yet been rebuilt.
And
Ezra blessed the LORD, the
great God. And all the people answered,
Amen,
Amen, with lifting up their hands: and they bowed their heads, and worshipped the LORD with their faces to the ground.
Then
Ezra blessed the LORD, the
great God, and with their hands
uplifted, all the people said, “
Amen,
Amen!” Then they bowed down and worshiped the LORD with their faces to the ground.
And all the people went their way to eat, and to drink, and to send portions, and to make
great mirth, because they had understood the words that were declared unto them.
Then all the people began to eat and drink, to send out portions, and to
rejoice greatly, because they understood the words that had been made known to them.
And all the congregation of them that were come again out of the captivity made booths, and sat under the booths: for since the days of Jeshua the son of
Nun unto that day had not the children of Israel done so. And there was very
great gladness.
The whole assembly who had returned from exile made booths and lived in them. From the days of Joshua son of
Nun until that day, the Israelites had not celebrated like this. And there was
great rejoicing.
And refused to obey, neither were mindful of thy wonders that thou
didst among them; but
hardened their necks, and in their rebellion appointed a captain to return to their
bondage: but thou art a God ready to
pardon,
gracious and
merciful, slow to anger, and of
great kindness, and forsookest them not.
They refused to
listen and failed to remember the wonders You performed among them. They
stiffened their necks and appointed a leader to return them to their
bondage in Egypt. But You are a
forgiving God,
gracious and
compassionate, slow to anger and rich in loving devotion, and You did not
forsake them.
Yea, when they had made them a
molten calf, and said, This is thy God that brought thee up out of Egypt, and had wrought
great provocations;
Even when they cast for themselves an image of a
calf and said, ‘This is your God who brought you up out of Egypt,’ and when they committed terrible blasphemies,
Yet thou in thy
manifold mercies forsookest them not in the wilderness: the
pillar of the cloud departed not from them by day, to lead them in the way; neither the
pillar of fire by night, to
shew them light, and the way wherein they should go.
You in Your
great compassion did not
forsake them in the wilderness. By day the
pillar of cloud never turned away from guiding them on their path; and by the night the
pillar of fire
illuminated the way they should go.
And they took strong cities, and a fat land, and possessed houses full of all goods, wells
digged, vineyards, and oliveyards, and fruit trees in abundance: so they did eat, and were filled, and became fat, and delighted themselves in thy
great goodness.
They captured fortified cities and fertile land and took houses full of all goods, wells already
dug, vineyards, olive groves, and fruit trees in abundance. So they
ate and were filled; they grew fat and delighted in Your
great goodness.
Nevertheless they were
disobedient, and rebelled against thee, and cast thy law behind their backs, and
slew thy prophets which
testified against them to turn them to thee, and they wrought
great provocations.
But they were
disobedient and rebelled against You; they
flung Your law behind their backs. They killed Your prophets, who had
admonished them to return to You. They committed terrible blasphemies.
Therefore thou deliveredst them into the hand of their enemies, who
vexed them: and in the time of their trouble, when they
cried unto thee, thou heardest them from heaven; and according to thy
manifold mercies thou gavest them saviours, who saved them out of the hand of their enemies.
So You delivered them into the hands of enemies who
oppressed them, and in their time of distress they
cried out to You. From heaven You heard them, and in Your
great compassion You gave them deliverers who saved them from the hands of their enemies.
Now therefore, our God, the great, the mighty, and the terrible God, who keepest covenant and mercy, let not all the trouble seem little before thee, that hath come upon us, on our kings, on our princes, and on our priests, and on our prophets, and on our fathers, and on all thy people, since the time of the kings of Assyria unto this day.
So now, our God, the
great and mighty and
awesome God who keeps His
gracious covenant, do not view lightly all the
hardship that has come upon us, and upon our kings and leaders, our priests and prophets, our ancestors and all Your people, from the days of the kings of Assyria until
today.
For they have not served thee in their kingdom, and in thy great goodness that thou gavest them, and in the large and fat land which thou gavest before them, neither turned they from their wicked works.
For even while they were in their kingdom, with the abundant goodness that You had given them, and in the
spacious and fertile land that You had set before them, they would not serve You or turn from their wicked ways.
And it yieldeth much increase unto the kings whom thou hast set over us because of our sins: also they have dominion over our bodies, and over our cattle, at their pleasure, and we are in great distress.
Its abundant harvest goes to the kings You have set over us because of our sins. And they rule over our bodies and our
livestock as they please. We are in
great distress.
And their brethren, mighty men of valour, an hundred twenty and eight: and their
overseer was Zabdiel, the son of one of the
great men.
Amashai son of Azarel, the son of Ahzai, the son of Meshillemoth, the son of Immer; and his associates—128 mighty men of
valor. Zabdiel son of Haggedolim was their
overseer.
Then I brought up the princes of Judah upon the wall, and appointed two
great companies of them that gave
thanks,
whereof one went on the right hand upon the wall toward the dung gate:
Then I brought the leaders of Judah up on the wall, and I appointed two
great thanksgiving choirs. One was to proceed along the top of the wall to the right, toward the Dung Gate.
Also that day they offered
great sacrifices, and
rejoiced: for God had made them
rejoice with
great joy: the wives also and the children
rejoiced: so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard even
afar off.
On that day they offered
great sacrifices,
rejoicing because God had given them
great joy. The women and children also
rejoiced, so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard from
afar.
And he had prepared for him a
great chamber, where
aforetime they laid the meat offerings, the
frankincense, and the vessels, and the
tithes of the corn, the new wine, and the oil, which was commanded to be given to the Levites, and the singers, and the
porters; and the offerings of the priests.
and had prepared for
Tobiah a large room where they had previously stored the grain offerings, the
frankincense, the temple articles, and the
tithes of grain, new wine, and oil prescribed for the Levites, singers, and gatekeepers, along with the contributions for the priests.
And it
grieved me
sore: therefore I cast forth all the household stuff of
Tobiah out of the chamber.
And I was
greatly displeased and threw all of
Tobiah’s household goods out of the room.
And I commanded the Levites that they should
cleanse themselves, and that they should come and keep the gates, to
sanctify the sabbath day. Remember me, O my God, concerning this also, and
spare me according to the
greatness of thy mercy.
Then I
instructed the Levites to
purify themselves and guard the gates in order to keep the Sabbath day holy. Remember me for this as well, O my God, and show me mercy according to Your abundant loving devotion.
Shall we then
hearken unto you to do all this
great evil, to
transgress against our God in marrying strange wives?
Must we now hear that you too are doing all this terrible evil and acting unfaithfully against our God by marrying foreign women?”
When he shewed the riches of his glorious kingdom and the honour of his excellent majesty many days, even an hundred and
fourscore days.
And for a full 180 days he displayed the glorious riches of his kingdom and the magnificent
splendor of his
greatness.
And when these days were
expired, the king made a feast unto all the people that were present in
Shushan the palace, both unto
great and small, seven days, in the court of the garden of the king’s palace;
At the end of this time, in the garden court of the royal palace, the king held a seven-day feast for all the people in the citadel of
Susa, from the least to the
greatest.
And when the king’s decree which he shall make shall be published throughout all his empire, (for it is great,) all the wives shall give to their husbands honour, both to great and small.
The edict the king issues will be heard throughout his vast kingdom—and so all women, from the least to the greatest, will honor their husbands.”
Then the king made a
great feast unto all his princes and his servants, even
Esther’s feast; and he made a release to the provinces, and gave gifts, according to the state of the king.
Then the king held a
great banquet,
Esther’s
banquet, for all his officials and servants. He proclaimed a tax
holiday in the provinces and gave gifts worthy of the king’s
bounty.
In every province to which the king’s command and edict came, there was
great mourning among the Jews. They fasted,
wept, and
lamented, and many lay in
sackcloth and ashes.
And
Mordecai went out from the presence of the king in royal
apparel of blue and white, and with a
great crown of gold, and with a garment of fine linen and purple: and the city of
Shushan rejoiced and was
glad.
Mordecai went out from the presence of the king in royal garments of blue and white, with a large gold crown and a purple
robe of fine linen. And the city of
Susa shouted and
rejoiced.
For
Mordecai was
great in the king’s house, and his fame went out throughout all the provinces: for this man
Mordecai waxed
greater and
greater.
For
Mordecai exercised
great power in the palace, and his fame spread throughout the provinces as he became more and more powerful.
And all the acts of his power and of his might, and the declaration of the
greatness of
Mordecai,
whereunto the king advanced him, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Media and Persia?
And all of
Mordecai’s powerful and magnificent accomplishments, together with the full account of the
greatness to which the king had raised him, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Media and Persia?
For
Mordecai the
Jew was next unto king
Ahasuerus, and
great among the Jews, and accepted of the multitude of his brethren, seeking the wealth of his people, and speaking peace to all his seed.
For
Mordecai the
Jew was second only to King
Xerxes, preeminent among the Jews and highly favored by his many
kinsmen, seeking the good of his people and speaking peace to all his countrymen.
His substance also was seven thousand sheep, and three thousand camels, and five hundred yoke of oxen, and five hundred she
asses, and a very
great household; so that this man was the
greatest of all the men of the east.
and he owned 7,000 sheep, 3,000 camels, 500 yoke of oxen, 500 female
donkeys, and a very large number of servants. Job was the
greatest man of all the people of the East.
And, behold, there came a
great wind from the wilderness, and
smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.
when suddenly a mighty wind swept in from the desert and struck the four corners of the house. It
collapsed on the young people and they are dead, and I alone have escaped to tell you!”
So they sat down with him upon the ground seven days and seven nights, and none spake a word unto him: for they saw that his grief was very great.
Then they sat on the ground with him for seven days and seven nights, but no one spoke a word to him because they saw how intense his suffering was.
The small and great are there; and the servant is free from his master.
Both small and great are there, and the slave is freed from his master.
Which
rejoice exceedingly, and are
glad, when they can find the grave?
For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.
For the thing I feared has overtaken me, and what I
dreaded has
befallen me.
Which doeth great things and unsearchable; marvellous things without number:
the One who does great and unsearchable things, wonders without number.
Thou shalt know also that thy seed shall be great, and thine offspring as the grass of the earth.
You will know that your offspring will be many, your descendants like the grass of the earth.
Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase.
Though your beginnings were modest, your latter days will
flourish.
Which doeth
great things past finding out;
yea, and wonders without number.
He does great things beyond searching out, and wonders without number.
He increaseth the nations, and destroyeth them: he enlargeth the nations, and straiteneth them again.
He makes nations great and destroys them; He enlarges nations, then disperses them.
Is not thy wickedness
great? and thine
iniquities infinite?
Is not your wickedness
great? Are not your
iniquities endless?
Will he
plead against me with his
great power? No; but he would put strength in me.
Would He
contend with me in His
great power? No, He would certainly take note of me.
By the
great force of my disease is my garment changed: it bindeth me about as the
collar of my coat.
With
great force He grasps my garment; He seizes me by the
collar of my
tunic.
If I
rejoiced because my wealth was
great, and because mine hand had
gotten much;
if I have
rejoiced in my
great wealth because my hand had gained so much,
Did I fear a
great multitude, or did the contempt of families
terrify me, that I kept silence, and went not out of the door?
because I
greatly feared the crowds and the contempt of the clans
terrified me, so that I kept silent and would not go outside—
Great men are not always wise: neither do the aged understand judgment.
It is not only the old who are wise, or the elderly who understand justice.
Behold, in this thou art not just: I will answer thee, that God is greater than man.
Behold, you are not right in this matter. I will answer you, for God is greater than man.
By reason of the multitude of oppressions they make the
oppressed to cry: they cry out by reason of the arm of the mighty.
Men cry out under
great oppression; they
plead for relief from the arm of the mighty.
But now, because it is not so, he hath visited in his anger; yet he knoweth it not in great extremity:
and further, that in His anger He has not punished or taken much notice of folly!
Because there is wrath,
beware lest he take thee away with his stroke: then a
great ransom cannot deliver thee.
Be careful that no one lures you with riches; do not let a large
bribe lead you
astray.
Behold, God is great, and we know him not, neither can the number of his years be searched out.
Indeed, God is great—beyond our knowledge; the number of His years is unsearchable.
God thundereth marvellously with his voice;
great things doeth he, which we cannot
comprehend.
For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength.
For He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth,’ and to the gentle rain, ‘Pour out a mighty
downpour.’
Touching the
Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in
plenty of justice: he will not
afflict.
The
Almighty is beyond our reach; He is
exalted in power! In His justice and
great righteousness He does not
oppress.
Knowest thou it, because thou
wast then born? or because the number of thy days is
great?
Surely you know, for you were already born! And the number of your days is great!
Wilt thou trust him, because his strength is
great? or
wilt thou leave thy labour to him?
Can you
rely on his
great strength? Will you leave your hard work to him?
There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous.
There they are,
overwhelmed with
dread, for God is in the company of the righteous.
Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath
holden me up, and thy gentleness hath made me
great.
You have given me Your shield of salvation; Your right hand upholds me, and Your gentleness exalts me.
Great salvation He brings to His king. He shows loving devotion to His
anointed, to David and his descendants
forever.
Moreover by them is thy servant
warned: and in keeping of them there is
great reward.
By them indeed Your servant is
warned; in keeping them is
great reward.
Keep back thy servant also from
presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the
great transgression.
The king shall joy in thy strength, O LORD; and in thy salvation how
greatly shall he
rejoice!
O LORD, the king rejoices in Your strength. How greatly he exults in Your salvation!
His glory is great in thy salvation: honour and majesty hast thou laid upon him.
Great is his glory in Your salvation; You
bestow on him
splendor and majesty.
My praise shall be of thee in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear him.
My praise for You resounds in the
great assembly; I will
fulfill my vows before those who fear You.
