hard for thee:

Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?
“Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh. Is anything too difficult for Me?
He hath builded against me, and compassed me with gall and
travail.
He has besieged me and surrounded me with bitterness and
hardship.
For thou art not sent to a people of a strange speech and of an hard language, but to the house of Israel;
For you are not being sent to a people of unfamiliar speech or difficult language, but to the house of Israel—
Not to many people of a strange speech and of an
hard language, whose words thou canst not understand. Surely, had I sent thee to them, they would have
hearkened unto thee.
not to the many peoples of unfamiliar speech and difficult language whose words you cannot understand. Surely if I had sent you to them, they would have
listened to you.
But the house of Israel will be unwilling to
listen to you, since they are unwilling to
listen to Me. For the whole house of Israel is
hard-headed and
hard-hearted.
Behold, I have made thy face strong against their faces, and thy
forehead strong against their foreheads.
Behold, I will make your face as
hard as their faces, and your
forehead as

As an
adamant harder than flint have I made thy
forehead: fear them not, neither be dismayed at their looks, though they be a
rebellious house.
I will make your
forehead like a
diamond,
harder than flint. Do not be afraid of them or dismayed at their presence, even though they are a
rebellious house.”

shew the interpretation.

heifer that is taught, and loveth to
tread out the corn; but I passed over upon her fair neck: I will make Ephraim to
ride; Judah shall
plow, and Jacob shall break his clods.

But after thy
hardness and
impenitent heart treasurest up unto
thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;
But because of your
hard and
unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against
yourself for the day of wrath, when God’s righteous judgment will be revealed.
Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth.

What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded
What then? What Israel was seeking, it failed to obtain, but the

For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this
mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the
fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
I do not want you to be ignorant of this
mystery, brothers, so that you will not be
conceited: A
hardening in part has come to Israel, until the full number of the Gentiles has come in.
Greet Mary, who bestowed much labour on us.
Greet Mary, who has worked very
hard for you.
Salute Tryphena and Tryphosa, who labour in the Lord.
Salute the beloved
Persis, which laboured much in the Lord.
Greet Tryphena and Tryphosa, women who have worked
hard in the Lord.
Greet my beloved
Persis, who has worked very
hard in the Lord.
But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace to me was not in vain. No, I worked harder than all of them—yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.
For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength,
insomuch that we
despaired even of life:
We do not want you to be unaware, brothers, of the
hardships we
encountered in the province of Asia. We were under a burden far beyond our ability to
endure, so that we
despaired even of life.
We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are
perplexed, but not in
despair;
Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a
fool) I am more; in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths
oft.
Are they servants of Christ? I am speaking like I am out of my mind, but I am so much more: in harder labor, in more imprisonments, in worse beatings, in frequent danger of death.
Therefore I take pleasure in
infirmities, in reproaches, in
necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
That is why, for the sake of Christ, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Join me in suffering, like a good soldier of Christ Jesus.

do not
harden your hearts, as you did in the rebellion, in the day of testing in the wilderness,
While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice,
harden not your hearts, as in the

As it has been said: “
Today, if you hear His voice, do not
harden your hearts, as you did in the rebellion.”
Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice,

Today, if you hear His voice, do not
harden your hearts.”

As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things
hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable
wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
He writes this way in all his letters, speaking in them about such matters. Some parts of his letters are
hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people
distort, as they do the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction.
To
execute judgment upon all, and to
convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their
hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
to
execute judgment on
everyone, and to
convict all the ungodly of every ungodly act of wickedness and every harsh word spoken against Him by ungodly sinners.”

leasing is
hard at hand: for now hasteth the vision to come, which thou hast seen.
And
hardly do we
guess aright at things that are upon earth, and with labour do we find the things that are before us: but the things that are in heaven who hath searched out?
When they were
thirsty, they called upon thee, and water was given them out of the
flinty rock, and their
thirst was
quenched out of the
hard stone.
And punishments came upon the sinners not without former signs by the force of thunders: for they suffered justly according to their own wickedness,
insomuch as they used a more
hard and
hateful behaviour toward strangers.
Seek not out things that are too hard for thee, neither search the things that are above thy strength.

hardly keep himself from doing wrong; and an
huckster shall not be freed from sin.

hardly receive the half, and he will count as if he had found it: if not, he hath deprived him of his money, and he hath
gotten him an enemy without cause: he payeth him with cursings and railings; and for honour he will pay him disgrace.

Unto whom
Judas answered, It is no
hard matter for many to be shut up in the hands of a few; and with the God of heaven it is all one, to deliver with a great multitude, or a small company:
Now when
Judas perceived that Bacchides and the strength of his army were on the right side, he took with him all the
hardy men,
But when they of the left wing saw that they of the right wing were
discomfited, they followed upon
Judas and those that were with him
hard at the heels from behind:
Now when
Timotheus had knowledge of
Judas’ coming, he sent the women and children and the other
baggage unto a fortress called Carnion: for the town was
hard to
besiege, and uneasy to come unto, by reason of the straitness of all the places.
