And forty sockets of silver he made under the twenty boards; two sockets under one board for his two tenons, and two sockets under another board for his two tenons.
with forty silver bases to put under the twenty frames—two bases for each frame, one under each
tenon.
And he made the vessels which were upon the table,
his dishes, and
his spoons, and
his bowls, and
his covers to cover
withal, of pure gold.
He also made the utensils for the table out of pure gold: its plates and dishes, as well as its
bowls and pitchers for pouring drink offerings.
And he made the
candlestick of pure gold: of beaten work made he the
candlestick;
his shaft, and
his branch,
his bowls,
his knops, and
his flowers, were of the same:
Then he made the lampstand out of pure hammered gold, all of one piece: its base and shaft, its cups, and its buds and petals.
And in the
candlestick were four
bowls made like almonds,
his knops, and
his flowers:
And on the lampstand were four cups shaped like
almond blossoms with buds and petals.
And he made
his seven lamps, and
his snuffers, and
his snuffdishes, of pure gold.
He also made its seven lamps, its
wick trimmers, and
trays of pure gold.
And the curious
girdle of
his ephod, that was upon it, was of the same, according to the work thereof; of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine
twined linen; as the LORD commanded Moses.
And the stones were according to the names of the children of Israel, twelve, according to their names, like the engravings of a
signet, every one with
his name, according to the twelve tribes.
The twelve stones corresponded to the names of the sons of Israel. Each stone was engraved like a seal with the name of one of the twelve tribes.
And they did bind the
breastplate by
his rings unto the rings of the
ephod with a lace of blue, that it might be above the curious
girdle of the
ephod, and that the
breastplate might not be loosed from the
ephod; as the LORD commanded Moses.
Then they
tied the rings of the breastpiece to the rings of the
ephod with a cord of blue yarn, so that the breastpiece was above the
waistband of the
ephod and would not
swing out from the
ephod, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
And they made coats of fine linen of
woven work for Aaron, and for
his sons,
For Aaron and
his sons they made tunics of fine linen, the work of a
weaver,
And they brought the tabernacle unto Moses, the tent, and all his furniture, his taches, his boards, his bars, and his pillars, and his sockets,
Then they brought the tabernacle to Moses: the tent with all its furnishings, its clasps, its frames, its crossbars, and its posts and bases;
the bronze altar with its bronze
grating, its poles, and all its utensils; the basin with its stand;
The hangings of the court, his pillars, and his sockets, and the hanging for the court gate, his cords, and his pins, and all the vessels of the service of the tabernacle, for the tent of the congregation,
the curtains of the
courtyard with its posts and bases; the
curtain for the gate of the
courtyard, its ropes and tent pegs, and all the
equipment for the service of the tabernacle, the Tent of Meeting;
The cloths of service to do service in the holy place, and the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and his sons’ garments, to minister in the priest’s office.
and the
woven garments for ministering in the sanctuary, both the holy garments for Aaron the priest and the garments for
his sons to serve as priests.
And thou shalt
anoint the altar of the burnt offering, and all
his vessels, and
sanctify the altar: and it shall be an altar most holy.
Anoint the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils;
consecrate the altar, and it shall be most holy.
And thou shalt bring Aaron and his sons unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and wash them with water.
Then bring Aaron and his sons to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting and wash them with water.
And thou shalt bring
his sons, and
clothe them with coats:
Bring
his sons forward and
clothe them with tunics.
And Moses reared up the tabernacle, and fastened his sockets, and set up the boards thereof, and put in the bars thereof, and reared up his pillars.
When Moses set up the tabernacle, he laid its bases, positioned its frames, inserted its crossbars, and set up its posts.
And Moses and Aaron and
his sons washed their hands and their feet
thereat:
and from it Moses, Aaron, and his sons washed their hands and feet.
If
his offering be a burnt sacrifice of the
herd, let him offer a male without
blemish: he shall offer it of
his own voluntary will at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the LORD.
If one’s offering is a burnt offering from the
herd, he is to present an
unblemished male. He must bring it to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting for its acceptance before the LORD.
And he shall put
his hand upon the head of the burnt offering; and it shall be accepted for him to make
atonement for him.
He is to lay
his hand on the head of the burnt offering, so it can be accepted on
his behalf to make
atonement for him.
And he shall
flay the burnt offering, and cut it into
his pieces.
Next, he is to skin the burnt offering and cut it into pieces.
But his inwards and his legs shall he wash in water: and the priest shall burn all on the altar, to be a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.
The
entrails and legs must be washed with water, and the priest shall burn all of it on the altar as a burnt offering, an offering made by fire, a pleasing
aroma to the LORD.
And if
his offering be of the flocks, namely, of the sheep, or of the goats, for a burnt sacrifice; he shall bring it a male without
blemish.
If, however, one’s offering is a burnt offering from the flock—from the sheep or goats—he is to present an
unblemished male.
And he shall kill it on the side of the altar northward before the LORD: and the priests, Aaron’s sons, shall
sprinkle his blood round about upon the altar.
He shall slaughter it on the north side of the altar before the LORD, and Aaron’s sons the priests are to
sprinkle its blood against the altar on all sides.
And he shall cut it into his pieces, with his head and his fat: and the priest shall lay them in order on the wood that is on the fire which is upon the altar:
He is to cut the animal into pieces, and the priest shall arrange them, including the head and fat,
atop the burning wood that is on the altar.
And if the burnt sacrifice for his offering to the LORD be of fowls, then he shall bring his offering of turtledoves, or of young pigeons.
If, instead, one’s offering to the LORD is a burnt offering of birds, he is to present a
turtledove or a young
pigeon.
And the priest shall bring it unto the altar, and
wring off
his head, and burn it on the altar; and the blood thereof shall be
wrung out at the side of the altar:
Then the priest shall bring it to the altar, twist off its head, and burn it on the altar; its blood should be drained out on the side of the altar.
And he shall
pluck away
his crop with
his feathers, and cast it beside the altar on the east part, by the place of the ashes:
And he is to remove the crop with its contents and throw it to the east side of the altar, in the place for ashes.
And when any will offer a meat offering unto the LORD,
his offering shall be of fine flour; and he shall pour oil upon it, and put
frankincense thereon:
“When
anyone brings a grain offering to the LORD,
his offering must consist of fine flour. He is to pour olive oil on it, put
frankincense on it,
And he shall bring it to Aaron’s sons the priests: and he shall take
thereout his handful of the flour thereof, and of the oil thereof, with all the
frankincense thereof; and the priest shall burn the
memorial of it upon the altar, to be an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD:
and bring it to Aaron’s sons the priests. The priest shall take a handful of the flour and oil, together with all the
frankincense, and burn this as a
memorial portion on the altar, an offering made by fire, a pleasing
aroma to the LORD.
And the
remnant of the meat offerings shall be Aaron’s and
his sons’: it is a thing most holy of the offerings of the LORD made by fire.
The remainder of the grain offering shall belong to Aaron and his sons; it is a most holy part of the offerings made by fire to the LORD.
And that which is left of the meat offering shall be Aaron’s and his sons’: it is a thing most holy of the offerings of the LORD made by fire.
But the remainder of the grain offering shall belong to Aaron and his sons; it is a most holy part of the offerings made by fire to the LORD.
And if
his oblation be a sacrifice of peace offering, if he offer it of the
herd; whether it be a male or female, he shall offer it without
blemish before the LORD.
“If one’s offering is a peace offering and he offers an animal from the
herd, whether male or female, he must present it without
blemish before the LORD.
And he shall lay
his hand upon the head of
his offering, and kill it at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and Aaron’s sons the priests shall
sprinkle the blood upon the altar round about.
He is to lay
his hand on the head of the offering and slaughter it at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. Then Aaron’s sons the priests shall
sprinkle the blood on all sides of the altar.
And if
his offering for a sacrifice of peace offering unto the LORD be of the flock; male or female, he shall offer it without
blemish.
If, however, one’s peace offering to the LORD is from the flock, he must present a male or female without
blemish.
If he offer a lamb for his offering, then shall he offer it before the LORD.
If he is presenting a lamb for his offering, he must present it before the LORD.
And he shall lay
his hand upon the head of
his offering, and kill it before the tabernacle of the congregation: and Aaron’s sons shall
sprinkle the blood thereof round about upon the altar.
He is to lay
his hand on the head of
his offering and slaughter it in front of the Tent of Meeting. Then Aaron’s sons shall
sprinkle its blood on all sides of the altar.
And if his offering be a goat, then he shall offer it before the LORD.
If one’s offering is a goat, he is to present it before the LORD.
And he shall lay
his hand upon the head of it, and kill it before the tabernacle of the congregation: and the sons of Aaron shall
sprinkle the blood thereof upon the altar round about.
He must lay
his hand on its head and slaughter it in front of the Tent of Meeting. Then Aaron’s sons shall
sprinkle its blood on all sides of the altar.
And he shall offer thereof his offering, even an offering made by fire unto the LORD; the fat that covereth the inwards, and all the fat that is upon the inwards,
And from
his offering he shall present an offering made by fire to the LORD: the fat that covers the
entrails, all the fat that is on them,
If the priest that is
anointed do sin according to the sin of the people; then let him bring for
his sin, which he hath
sinned, a young
bullock without
blemish unto the LORD for a sin offering.
If the
anointed priest sins, bringing guilt on the people, he must bring to the LORD a young bull without
blemish as a sin offering for the sin he has committed.
And he shall bring the
bullock unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the LORD; and shall lay
his hand upon the
bullock’s head, and kill the
bullock before the LORD.
He must bring the bull to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting before the LORD, lay his hand on the bull’s head, and slaughter it before the LORD.
And the priest shall dip
his finger in the blood, and
sprinkle of the blood seven times before the LORD, before the
vail of the sanctuary.
The priest is to dip
his finger in the blood and
sprinkle some of it seven times before the LORD, in front of the
veil of the sanctuary.
And the skin of the
bullock, and all
his flesh, with
his head, and with
his legs, and
his inwards, and
his dung,
But the hide of the bull and all its flesh, with its head and legs and its
entrails and dung—
And the priest shall dip
his finger in some of the blood, and
sprinkle it seven times before the LORD, even before the
vail.
and he is to dip
his finger in the blood and
sprinkle it seven times before the LORD in front of the
veil.
And he shall take all his fat from him, and burn it upon the altar.
And he is to remove all the fat from it and burn it on the altar.
When a ruler hath
sinned, and done somewhat through ignorance against any of the commandments of the LORD
his God concerning things which should not be done, and is guilty;
When a leader sins
unintentionally and does what is prohibited by any of the commandments of the LORD
his God, he incurs guilt.
Or if
his sin, wherein he hath
sinned, come to
his knowledge; he shall bring
his offering, a
kid of the goats, a male without
blemish:
When he becomes aware of the sin he has committed, he must bring an
unblemished male goat as
his offering.
And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the goat, and kill it in the place where they kill the burnt offering before the LORD: it is a sin offering.
He is to lay his hand on the head of the goat and slaughter it at the place where the burnt offering is slaughtered before the LORD. It is a sin offering.
And the priest shall take of the blood of the sin offering with his finger, and put it upon the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and shall pour out his blood at the bottom of the altar of burnt offering.
Then the priest is to take some of the blood of the sin offering with his finger, put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and pour out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar.
And he shall burn all
his fat upon the altar, as the fat of the sacrifice of peace offerings: and the priest shall make an
atonement for him as concerning
his sin, and it shall be
forgiven him.
He must burn all its fat on the altar, like the fat of the peace offerings; thus the priest will make
atonement for that man’s sin, and he will be
forgiven.
Or if
his sin, which he hath
sinned, come to
his knowledge: then he shall bring
his offering, a
kid of the goats, a female without
blemish, for
his sin which he hath
sinned.
When he becomes aware of the sin he has committed, he must bring an
unblemished female goat as
his offering for that sin.
And he shall lay
his hand upon the head of the sin offering, and
slay the sin offering in the place of the burnt offering.
He is to lay his hand on the head of the sin offering and slaughter it at the place of the burnt offering.
And the priest shall take of the blood thereof with his finger, and put it upon the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and shall pour out all the blood thereof at the bottom of the altar.
Then the priest is to take some of its blood with his finger, put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and pour out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar.
And he shall lay
his hand upon the head of the sin offering, and
slay it for a sin offering in the place where they kill the burnt offering
And he is to lay his hand on the head of the sin offering and slaughter it as a sin offering at the place where the burnt offering is slaughtered.
And the priest shall take of the blood of the sin offering with his finger, and put it upon the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and shall pour out all the blood thereof at the bottom of the altar:
Then the priest is to take some of the blood of the sin offering with his finger, put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and pour out the rest of its blood at the base of the altar.
And he shall take away all the fat thereof, as the fat of the lamb is taken away from the sacrifice of the peace offerings; and the priest shall burn them upon the altar, according to the offerings made by fire unto the LORD: and the priest shall make an
atonement for
his sin that he hath committed, and it shall be
forgiven him.
And he shall remove all the fat, just as the fat of the lamb is removed from the peace offerings, and he shall burn it on the altar along with the offerings made by fire to the LORD. In this way the priest will make
atonement for him for the sin he has committed, and he will be
forgiven.
And if a soul sin, and hear the voice of
swearing, and is a witness, whether he hath seen or known of it; if he do not utter it, then he shall bear
his iniquity.
“If someone sins by failing to
testify when he hears a public charge about something he has witnessed, whether he has seen it or learned of it, he shall bear the iniquity.
Or if a soul
swear,
pronouncing with
his lips to do evil, or to do good,
whatsoever it be that a man shall
pronounce with an oath, and it be
hid from him; when he knoweth of it, then he shall be guilty in one of these.
Or if someone swears
thoughtlessly with
his lips to do anything good or evil—in whatever matter a man may
rashly pronounce an oath—even if he is unaware of it, when he realizes it, he is guilty in the matter.
And he shall bring
his trespass offering unto the LORD for
his sin which he hath
sinned, a female from the flock, a lamb or a
kid of the goats, for a sin offering; and the priest shall make an
atonement for him concerning
his sin.
and he must bring
his guilt offering to the LORD for the sin he has committed: a female lamb or goat from the flock as a sin offering. And the priest will make
atonement for him concerning
his sin.
And if he be not able to bring a lamb, then he shall bring for
his trespass, which he hath committed, two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, unto the LORD; one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering.
If, however, he cannot afford a lamb, he may bring to the LORD as
restitution for
his sin two turtledoves or two young pigeons—one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering.
And he shall bring them unto the priest, who shall offer that which is for the sin offering first, and
wring off
his head from
his neck, but shall not divide it
asunder:
He is to bring them to the priest, who shall first present the one for the sin offering. He is to twist its head at the front of its neck without severing it;
And he shall offer the second for a burnt offering, according to the manner: and the priest shall make an
atonement for him for
his sin which he hath
sinned, and it shall be
forgiven him.
And the priest must prepare the second bird as a burnt offering according to the
ordinance. In this way the priest will make
atonement for him for the sin he has committed, and he will be
forgiven.
But if he be not able to bring two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, then he that
sinned shall bring for
his offering the tenth part of an
ephah of fine flour for a sin offering; he shall put no oil upon it, neither shall he put any
frankincense thereon: for it is a sin offering.
But if he cannot afford two turtledoves or two young pigeons, he may bring a tenth of an
ephah of fine flour as a sin offering. He must not put olive oil or
frankincense on it, because it is a sin offering.
Then shall he bring it to the priest, and the priest shall take
his handful of it, even a
memorial thereof, and burn it on the altar, according to the offerings made by fire unto the LORD: it is a sin offering.
He is to bring it to the priest, who shall take a handful from it as a
memorial portion and burn it on the altar
atop the offerings made by fire to the LORD; it is a sin offering.
And the priest shall make an
atonement for him as touching
his sin that he hath
sinned in one of these, and it shall be
forgiven him: and the
remnant shall be the priest’s, as a meat offering.
In this way the priest will make
atonement for him for any of these sins he has committed, and he will be
forgiven. The remainder will belong to the priest, like the grain offering.”
If a soul commit a
trespass, and sin through ignorance, in the holy things of the LORD; then he shall bring for
his trespass unto the LORD a ram without
blemish out of the flocks, with thy
estimation by shekels of silver, after the
shekel of the sanctuary, for a
trespass offering:
“If someone acts unfaithfully and sins
unintentionally against any of the LORD’s holy things, he must bring
his guilt offering to the LORD: an
unblemished ram from the flock, of proper value in silver shekels according to the sanctuary
shekel; it is a guilt offering.
And he shall make
amends for the
harm that he hath done in the holy thing, and shall add the fifth part
thereto, and give it unto the priest: and the priest shall make an
atonement for him with the ram of the
trespass offering, and it shall be
forgiven him.
Regarding any holy thing he has
harmed, he must make
restitution by adding a fifth of its value to it and giving it to the priest, who will make
atonement on
his behalf with the ram as a guilt offering, and he will be
forgiven.
And if a soul sin, and commit any of these things which are forbidden to be done by the commandments of the LORD; though he
wist it not, yet is he guilty, and shall bear
his iniquity.
If someone sins and
violates any of the LORD’s commandments even though he was unaware, he is guilty and shall bear
his punishment.
And he shall bring a ram without
blemish out of the flock, with thy
estimation, for a
trespass offering, unto the priest: and the priest shall make an
atonement for him concerning
his ignorance wherein he
erred and
wist it not, and it shall be
forgiven him.
He is to bring to the priest an
unblemished ram of proper value from the flock as a guilt offering. Then the priest will make
atonement on
his behalf for the wrong he has committed in ignorance, and he will be
forgiven.
If a soul sin, and commit a
trespass against the LORD, and lie unto
his neighbour in that which was delivered him to keep, or in
fellowship, or in a thing taken away by violence, or hath
deceived his neighbour;
“If someone sins and acts unfaithfully against the LORD by
deceiving his neighbor in regard to a deposit or security entrusted to him or
stolen, or if he extorts
his neighbor Or all that about which he hath
sworn falsely; he shall even restore it in the principal, and shall add the fifth part more
thereto, and give it unto him to whom it appertaineth, in the day of
his trespass offering.
or anything else about which he has
sworn falsely. He must make
restitution in full, add a fifth of the value, and pay it to the owner on the day he acknowledges
his guilt.
Then he must bring to the priest
his guilt offering to the LORD: an
unblemished ram of proper value from the flock.
Command Aaron and his sons, saying, This is the law of the burnt offering: It is the burnt offering, because of the burning upon the altar all night unto the morning, and the fire of the altar shall be burning in it.
“Command Aaron and
his sons that this is the law of the burnt offering: The burnt offering is to remain on the
hearth of the altar all night, until morning, and the fire must be kept burning on the altar.
And the priest shall put on
his linen garment, and
his linen
breeches shall he put upon
his flesh, and take up the ashes which the fire hath consumed with the burnt offering on the altar, and he shall put them beside the altar.
And the priest shall put on
his linen
robe and linen undergarments, and he shall remove from the altar the ashes of the burnt offering that the fire has consumed and place them beside it.
And he shall put off his garments, and put on other garments, and carry forth the ashes without the camp unto a clean place.
Then he must take off
his garments, put on other clothes, and carry the ashes outside the camp to a
ceremonially clean place.
And he shall take of it
his handful, of the flour of the meat offering, and of the oil thereof, and all the
frankincense which is upon the meat offering, and shall burn it upon the altar for a sweet savour, even the
memorial of it, unto the LORD.
The priest is to remove a handful of fine flour and olive oil, together with all the
frankincense from the grain offering, and burn the
memorial portion on the altar as a pleasing
aroma to the LORD.
And the remainder thereof shall Aaron and
his sons eat: with
unleavened bread shall it be eaten in the holy place; in the court of the tabernacle of the congregation they shall eat it.
Aaron and
his sons are to eat the remainder. It must be eaten without
leaven in a holy place; they are to eat it in the
courtyard of the Tent of Meeting.
This is the offering of Aaron and of
his sons, which they shall offer unto the LORD in the day when he is
anointed; the tenth part of an
ephah of fine flour for a meat offering perpetual, half of it in the morning, and half thereof at night.
“This is the offering that Aaron and
his sons must present to the LORD on the day he is
anointed: a tenth of an
ephah of fine flour as a regular grain offering, half of it in the morning and half in the evening.
And the priest of
his sons that is
anointed in
his stead shall offer it: it is a statute for ever unto the LORD, it shall be wholly burnt.
The priest, who is one of Aaron’s sons and will be
anointed to take
his place, is to prepare it. As a permanent portion for the LORD, it must be burned completely.
Speak unto Aaron and to his sons, saying, This is the law of the sin offering: In the place where the burnt offering is killed shall the sin offering be killed before the LORD: it is most holy.
“Tell Aaron and his sons that this is the law of the sin offering: In the place where the burnt offering is slaughtered, the sin offering shall be slaughtered before the LORD; it is most holy.
Besides the cakes, he shall offer for
his offering
leavened bread with the sacrifice of
thanksgiving of
his peace offerings.
Along with
his peace offering of
thanksgiving he is to present an offering with cakes of
leavened bread.
And the flesh of the sacrifice of
his peace offerings for
thanksgiving shall be eaten the same day that it is offered; he shall not leave any of it until the morning.
The meat of the sacrifice of
his peace offering of
thanksgiving must be eaten on the day he offers it; none of it may be left until morning.
But if the sacrifice of
his offering be a
vow, or a voluntary offering, it shall be eaten the same day that he offereth
his sacrifice: and on the
morrow also the remainder of it shall be eaten:
If, however, the sacrifice he offers is a
vow or a
freewill offering, it shall be eaten on the day he presents
his sacrifice, but the remainder may be eaten on the next day.
And if any of the flesh of the sacrifice of
his peace offerings be eaten at all on the third day, it shall not be accepted, neither shall it be imputed unto him that offereth it: it shall be an
abomination, and the soul that eateth of it shall bear
his iniquity.
If any of the meat from
his peace offering is eaten on the third day, it will not be accepted. It will not be credited to the one who presented it; it shall be an
abomination, and the one who eats of it shall bear
his iniquity.
But the soul that eateth of the flesh of the sacrifice of peace offerings, that
pertain unto the LORD, having
his uncleanness upon him, even that soul shall be cut off from
his people.
But if
anyone who is unclean eats meat from the peace offering that belongs to the LORD, that person must be cut off from
his people.
Moreover the soul that shall touch any unclean thing, as the uncleanness of man, or any unclean beast, or any
abominable unclean thing, and eat of the flesh of the sacrifice of peace offerings, which
pertain unto the LORD, even that soul shall be cut off from
his people.
If one touches anything unclean, whether human uncleanness, an unclean animal, or any unclean,
detestable thing, and then eats any of the meat of the peace offering that belongs to the LORD, that person must be cut off from
his people.”
For
whosoever eateth the fat of the beast, of which men offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD, even the soul that eateth it shall be cut off from
his people.
If
anyone eats the fat of an animal from which an offering made by fire may be presented to the LORD, the one who eats it must be cut off from
his people.
Whatsoever soul it be that eateth any manner of blood, even that soul shall be cut off from
his people.
If
anyone eats blood, that person must be cut off from
his people.’”
Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, He that offereth the sacrifice of
his peace offerings unto the LORD shall bring
his oblation unto the LORD of the sacrifice of
his peace offerings.
“Speak to the Israelites and say, ‘
Anyone who presents a peace offering to the LORD must bring it as
his sacrifice to the LORD.
His own hands shall bring the offerings of the LORD made by fire, the fat with the breast, it shall he bring, that the breast may be waved for a wave offering before the LORD.
With his own hands he is to bring the offerings made by fire to the LORD; he shall bring the fat, together with the breast, and wave the breast as a wave offering before the LORD.
And the priest shall burn the fat upon the altar: but the breast shall be Aaron’s and his sons’.
The priest is to burn the fat on the altar, but the breast belongs to Aaron and his sons.
He among the sons of Aaron, that offereth the blood of the peace offerings, and the fat, shall have the right shoulder for his part.
The son of Aaron who presents the blood and fat of the peace offering shall have the right
thigh as a portion.
For the wave breast and the
heave shoulder have I taken of the children of Israel from off the sacrifices of their peace offerings, and have given them unto Aaron the priest and unto
his sons by a statute for ever from among the children of Israel.
I have taken from the sons of Israel the breast of the wave offering and the
thigh of the contribution of their peace offerings, and I have given them to Aaron the priest and
his sons as a permanent portion from the sons of Israel.’”
This is the portion of the
anointing of Aaron, and of the
anointing of
his sons, out of the offerings of the LORD made by fire, in the day when he presented them to minister unto the LORD in the priest’s office;
This is the portion of the offerings made by fire to the LORD for Aaron and his sons since the day they were presented to serve the LORD as priests.
“Take Aaron and
his sons, their garments, the
anointing oil, the bull of the sin offering, the two rams, and the
basket of
unleavened bread,
And Moses brought Aaron and his sons, and washed them with water.
Then Moses presented Aaron and his sons and washed them with water.
And he put the
mitre upon
his head; also upon the
mitre, even upon
his forefront, did he put the golden plate, the holy crown; as the LORD commanded Moses.
Moses also put the
turban on Aaron’s head and set the gold plate, the holy
diadem, on the front of the
turban, as the LORD had commanded him.
He
sprinkled some of the oil on the altar seven times,
anointing the altar and all its utensils, and the basin with its stand, to
consecrate them.
