many waters, and his king shall be higher than
Agag, and his kingdom shall be
exalted.

Agag, and his kingdom will be
exalted.
To many thou shalt give the more inheritance, and to few thou shalt give the less inheritance: to every one shall his inheritance be given according to those that were numbered of him.

The
Emims dwelt therein in times past, a people great, and
many, and tall, as the Anakims;
(The Emites used to live there, a people great and many, as tall as the Anakites.
A people great, and
many, and tall, as the Anakims; but the LORD destroyed them before them; and they succeeded them, and dwelt in their
stead:
They were a people great and
many, as tall as the Anakites. But the LORD destroyed them from before the
Ammonites, who drove them out and settled in their place,

When the LORD thy God shall bring thee into the land
whither thou goest to possess it, and hath cast out
many nations before thee, the
Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the
Amorites, and the
Canaanites, and the
Perizzites, and the
Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than thou;
When the LORD your God brings you into the land that you are entering to possess, and He drives out before you
many nations—the
Hittites, Girgashites,
Amorites,
Canaanites,
Perizzites,
Hivites, and Jebusites, seven nations larger and stronger than you—
For the LORD thy God blesseth thee, as he promised thee: and thou shalt
lend unto
many nations, but thou shalt not
borrow; and thou shalt reign over
many nations, but they shall not reign over thee.
When the LORD your God blesses you as He has promised, you will
lend to
many nations but
borrow from none; you will rule over
many nations but be ruled by none.
But he shall not multiply horses to himself, nor cause the people to return to Egypt, to the end that he should multiply horses:

Neither shall he multiply wives to himself, that his heart turn not away: neither shall he greatly multiply to himself silver and gold.

astray. He must not
accumulate for himself large amounts of silver and gold.
That his heart be not lifted up above his brethren, and that he turn not aside from the commandment, to the right hand, or to the left: to the end that he may
prolong his days in his kingdom, he, and his children, in the midst of Israel.
Then his heart will not be
exalted above his countrymen, and he will not turn aside from the commandment, to the right or to the left, in order that he and his sons may reign
many years over his kingdom in Israel.
Forty stripes he may give him, and not exceed: lest, if he should exceed, and beat him above these with
many stripes, then thy brother should seem
vile unto thee.
He may receive no more than forty lashes, lest your brother be beaten any more than that and be
degraded in your sight.
The LORD shall open unto thee his good
treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to
bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt
lend unto
many nations, and thou shalt not
borrow.
The LORD will open the heavens, His abundant
storehouse, to send rain on your land in season and to
bless all the work of your hands. You will
lend to
many nations, but
borrow from none.
Then my anger shall be
kindled against them in that day, and I will
forsake them, and I will hide my face from them, and they shall be
devoured, and
many evils and troubles shall
befall them; so that they will say in that day, Are not these evils come upon us, because our God is not among us?
On that day My anger will burn against them, and I will
abandon them and hide My face from them, so that they will be consumed, and
many troubles and afflictions will
befall them. On that day they will say, ‘Have not these disasters come upon us because our God is no longer with us?’
And it shall come to pass, when
many evils and troubles are
befallen them, that this song shall
testify against them as a witness; for it shall not be forgotten out of the mouths of their seed: for I know their imagination which they go about, even now, before I have brought them into the land which I
sware.
And when
many troubles and afflictions have come upon them, this song will
testify against them, because it will not be forgotten from the lips of their descendants. For I know their inclination, even before I bring them into the land that I
swore to give them.”

inherit, seeing I am a great people,
forasmuch as the LORD hath blessed me hitherto?

And Joshua answered them, If thou be a great people, then get thee up to the wood country, and cut down for
thyself there in the land of the
Perizzites and of the giants, if mount Ephraim be too narrow for thee.
Joshua answered them, “If you have so
many people that the hill country of Ephraim is too small for you, go to the forest and clear for
yourself an area in the land of the
Perizzites and the
Rephaim.”
And Joshua spake unto the house of Joseph, even to Ephraim and to
Manasseh, saying, Thou art a great people, and hast great power: thou shalt not have one lot only:
So Joshua said to the house of Joseph—to Ephraim and
Manasseh—“You have
many people and great strength. You shall not have just one
allotment,
Ye have not left your brethren these many days unto this day, but have kept the charge of the commandment of the LORD your God.
All this time you have not deserted your brothers, up to this very day, but have kept the charge given you by the LORD your God.

livestock, with silver, gold, bronze, iron, and very
many clothes. Divide with your brothers the
spoil of your enemies.”

Midian into their hands, lest Israel
glorify themselves over Me, saying, ‘My own hand has saved me.’
And the LORD said unto
Gideon, The people are yet too
many; bring them down unto the water, and I will try them for thee there: and it shall be, that of whom I say unto thee, This shall go with thee, the same shall go with thee; and of
whomsoever I say unto thee, This shall not go with thee, the same shall not go.
Then the LORD said to
Gideon, “There are still too
many people. Take them down to the water, and I will

many sons pines away.
And he
smote the men of Beth-shemesh, because they had looked into the ark of the LORD, even he

armor, “Come, let us cross over to the outpost of these
uncircumcised men. Perhaps the LORD will work on our behalf. Nothing can hinder the LORD from saving, whether by

Many of them fell and died. And Saul and his son
Jonathan are also dead.”

spear came out behind him; and he fell down there, and died in the same place: and it came to pass, that as
many as came to the place where
Asahel fell down and died stood still.
But

Abner thrust the
butt of his
spear into his stomach, and it came out his back, and he fell dead on the spot. And every man
paused when he came to the place where
Asahel had fallen and died.

cypresses. I have reached its
farthest outposts, the densest of its forests.
