Even every one that is called by my
name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him;
yea, I have made him.
everyone called by My
name and created for My glory, whom I have indeed formed and made.”
One shall say, I am the LORD’S; and another shall call himself by the
name of Jacob; and another shall

name of Israel, and are come forth out of the waters of Judah, which
swear by the
name of the LORD, and make mention of the God of Israel, but not in truth, nor in righteousness.
“
Listen to this, O house of Jacob, you who are called by the
name of Israel, who have descended from the line of Judah, who
swear by the
name of the LORD, who
invoke the God of Israel— but not in truth or righteousness—
For they call themselves of the holy city, and stay themselves upon the God of Israel; The LORD of hosts is his name.
who indeed call
yourselves after the holy city and
lean on the God of Israel; the LORD of Hosts is His
name.
For my
name’s sake will I
defer mine anger, and for my praise will I
refrain for thee, that I cut thee not off.
For the sake of My name I will delay My wrath; for the sake of My praise I will restrain it, so that you will not be cut off.
For mine own sake, even for mine own sake, will I do it: for how should my
name be
polluted? and I will not give my glory unto another.
For My own sake, My very own sake, I will act; for how can I let Myself be
defamed? I will not yield My glory to another.
Thy seed also had been as the sand, and the offspring of thy
bowels like the gravel thereof; his
name should not have been cut off nor destroyed from before me.

name would never be cut off or
eliminated from My presence.”
Listen, O isles, unto me; and
hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the
womb; from the
bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my
name.

womb; from the body of My mother He
named Me.

name of the LORD; let him
lean on his God.
But I am the LORD thy God, that divided the sea, whose waves
roared: The LORD of hosts is his
name.

roar— the LORD of Hosts is His
name.
Now therefore, what have I here, saith the LORD, that my people is taken away for
nought? they that rule over them make them to
howl, saith the LORD; and my
name continually every day is
blasphemed.
And now what have I here? declares the LORD. For My people have been taken without cause; those who rule them
taunt, declares the LORD, and My
name is
blasphemed continually all day long.
Therefore my people shall know my
name: therefore they shall know in that day that I am he that
doth speak: behold, it is I.
Therefore My people will know My name; therefore they will know on that day that I am He who speaks. Here I am!”

name; and thy
Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.

Redeemer; He is called the God of all the earth.
Instead of the
thorn shall come up the
fir tree, and instead of the
brier shall come up the
myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a
name, for an
everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.
Instead of the thornbush, a
cypress will grow, and instead of the
brier, a
myrtle will spring up; they will make a
name for the LORD, an
everlasting sign, never to be destroyed.”
Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a
name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an
everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.
I will give them, in My house and within My walls, a
memorial and a
name better than that of sons and daughters. I will give them an
everlasting name that will not be cut off.
Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the
name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from
polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;
And the foreigners who join themselves to the LORD to minister to Him, to love the
name of the LORD, and to be His servants— all who keep the Sabbath without
profaning it and who hold fast to My covenant—
For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth
eternity, whose
name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a
contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the
contrite ones.
For thus says the One who is high and lifted up, who inhabits
eternity, whose
name is Holy: “I dwell in a high and holy place, and with the
oppressed and humble in spirit, to restore the spirit of the lowly and revive the heart of the
contrite.
So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.
So shall they fear the
name of the LORD where the sun sets, and His glory where it rises. For He will come like a
raging flood, driven by the breath of the LORD.
Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of
Tarshish first, to bring thy sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, unto the
name of the LORD thy God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath
glorified thee.
Surely the islands will wait for Me, with the ships of
Tarshish in the lead, to bring your children from
afar, with their silver and gold, to the honor of the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, for He has
glorified you.
Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise.
No longer will violence be heard in your land, nor ruin or destruction within your borders. But you will name your walls Salvation and your gates Praise.
But ye shall be
named the Priests of the LORD: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye
boast yourselves.
But you will be called the priests of the LORD; they will speak of you as ministers of our God; you will feed on the wealth of nations, and you will
boast in their riches.
And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name.
Nations will see your righteousness, and all kings your glory. You will be called by a new
name that the mouth of the LORD will
bestow.
Thou shalt no more be termed
Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed
Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzi-
bah, and thy land Beulah: for the LORD delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married.
No longer will you be called
Forsaken, nor your land
named Desolate; but you will be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah; for the LORD will take delight in you, and your land will be His
bride.
That led them by the right hand of Moses with his glorious arm, dividing the water before them, to make himself an
everlasting name?
who sent His glorious arm to lead them by the right hand of Moses, who divided the waters before them to gain for Himself
everlasting renown,
As a beast goeth down into the valley, the Spirit of the LORD caused him to rest: so
didst thou lead thy people, to make
thyself a glorious
name.
Like cattle going down to the valley, the Spirit of the LORD gave them rest. You led Your people this way to make for
Yourself a glorious
name.
Doubtless thou art our father, though Abraham be ignorant of us, and Israel acknowledge us not: thou, O LORD, art our father, our
redeemer; thy
name is from
everlasting.
Yet You are our Father, though Abraham does not know us and Israel does not acknowledge us. You, O LORD, are our Father; our
Redeemer from
Everlasting is Your
name.
We are thine: thou never barest rule over them; they were not called by thy name.
We have become like those You never ruled, like those not called by Your name.
As when the melting fire burneth, the fire causeth the waters to
boil, to make thy
name known to thine
adversaries, that the nations may
tremble at thy presence!
as fire kindles the
brushwood and causes the water to
boil, to make Your
name known to Your enemies, so that the nations will
tremble at Your presence!
And there is none that calleth upon thy
name, that stirreth up himself to take hold of thee: for thou hast
hid thy face from us, and hast consumed us, because of our
iniquities.
No one calls on Your name or strives to take hold of You. For You have hidden Your face from us and delivered us into the hand of our iniquity.
I am sought of them that asked not for me; I am found of them that sought me not: I said, Behold me, behold me, unto a nation that was not called by my name.
“I revealed Myself to those who did not ask for Me; I was found by those who did not seek Me. To a nation that did not call My name, I said, ‘Here I am! Here I am!’
And ye shall leave your
name for a
curse unto my chosen: for the Lord GOD shall
slay thee, and call his servants by another
name:
You will leave behind your
name as a
curse for My chosen ones, and the Lord GOD will
slay you; but to His servants He will give another
name.
Hear the word of the LORD, ye that
tremble at his word; your brethren that
hated you, that cast you out for my
name’s sake, said, Let the LORD be
glorified: but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be
ashamed.
You who
tremble at His word, hear the word of the LORD: “Your brothers who
hate you and
exclude you because of My
name have said, ‘Let the LORD be
glorified that we may see your joy!’ But they will be put to shame.”
For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.
“For just as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, will
endure before Me,” declares the LORD, “so your descendants and your
name will
endure.
At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the LORD; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the LORD, to Jerusalem: neither shall they walk any more after the imagination of their evil heart.
At that time Jerusalem will be called The Throne of the LORD, and all the nations will be gathered in Jerusalem to honor the
name of the LORD. They will no longer follow the
stubbornness of their evil hearts.
And come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say, We are delivered to do all these abominations?
and then come and stand before Me in this house, which bears My Name, and say, ‘We are delivered, so we can continue with all these abominations’?
Is this house, which is called by my name, become a den of robbers in your eyes? Behold, even I have seen it, saith the LORD.
Has this house, which bears My
Name, become a den of robbers in your sight?
Yes, I too have seen it, declares the LORD.
But go ye now unto my place which was in
Shiloh, where I set my
name at the first, and see what I did to it for the wickedness of my people Israel.
But go now to the place in
Shiloh where I first made a dwelling for My
Name, and see what I did to it because of the wickedness of My people Israel.
Therefore will I do unto this house, which is called by my
name, wherein ye trust, and unto the place which I gave to you and to your fathers, as I have done to
Shiloh.
therefore what I did to
Shiloh I will now do to the house that bears My
Name, the house in which you trust, the place that I gave to you and your fathers.
For the children of Judah have done evil in my sight, saith the LORD: they have set their abominations in the house which is called by my
name, to
pollute it.
For the people of Judah have done evil in My sight, declares the LORD. They have set up their abominations in the house that bears My
Name, and so have
defiled it.
