And the
spoiler shall come upon every city, and no city shall escape: the valley also shall perish, and the plain shall be destroyed, as the LORD hath spoken.
The destroyer will move against every city, and not one town will escape. The valley will also be ruined, and the high plain will be destroyed, as the LORD has said.
Give wings unto Moab, that it may
flee and get away: for the cities thereof shall be
desolate, without any to dwell therein.
Put salt on Moab, for she will be laid waste; her cities will become
desolate, with no
one to dwell in them.
Cursed is the
one who is remiss in doing the work of the LORD, and
cursed is he who withholds his sword from
bloodshed.
Joy and
gladness are removed from the
orchard and from the fields of Moab. I have stopped the flow of wine from the presses; no
one treads them with shouts of joy; their shouts are not for joy.
They that fled stood under the shadow of
Heshbon because of the force: but a fire shall come forth out of
Heshbon, and a flame from the midst of Sihon, and shall
devour the corner of Moab, and the crown of the head of the
tumultuous ones.
“Those who
flee will stand helpless in
Heshbon’s shadow, because fire has gone forth from
Heshbon and a flame from within Sihon. It devours the foreheads of Moab and the skulls of the sons of
tumult.
Behold, I will bring a fear upon thee, saith the Lord GOD of hosts, from all those that be about thee; and ye shall be driven out every man right forth; and none shall gather up him that wandereth.
Behold, I am about to bring terror upon you, declares the Lord GOD of Hosts, from all those around you. You will each be driven
headlong, with no
one to regather the fugitives.
Also
Edom shall be a
desolation: every
one that goeth by it shall be
astonished, and shall hiss at all the plagues thereof.
As in the overthrow of
Sodom and
Gomorrah and the neighbour cities thereof, saith the LORD, no man shall
abide there, neither shall a son of man dwell in it.
As
Sodom and
Gomorrah were overthrown along with their neighbors,” says the LORD, “no
one will dwell there; no man will
abide there.
Behold, he shall come up like a lion from the swelling of Jordan against the
habitation of the strong: but I will suddenly make him run away from her: and who is a chosen man, that I may
appoint over her? for who is like me? and who will
appoint me the time? and who is that
shepherd that will stand before me?
Behold,
one will come up like a lion from the thickets of the Jordan to the watered pasture. For in an instant I will
chase Edom from her land. Who is the chosen
one I will
appoint for this? For who is like Me, and who can
challenge Me? What
shepherd can stand against Me?”
Therefore hear the counsel of the LORD, that he hath taken against
Edom; and his purposes, that he hath purposed against the inhabitants of Teman: Surely the least of the flock shall draw them out: surely he shall make their habitations
desolate with them.
Therefore hear the plans that the LORD has drawn up against
Edom and the strategies He has devised against the people of Teman: Surely the little
ones of the flock will be
dragged away; certainly their pasture will be made
desolate because of them.
Arise, get you up unto the wealthy nation, that dwelleth without care, saith the LORD, which have neither gates nor bars, which dwell alone.
Rise up, advance against a nation at ease, one that dwells securely,” declares the LORD. “They have no gates or bars; they live alone.
And Hazor shall be a dwelling for
dragons, and a
desolation for ever: there shall no man
abide there, nor any son of man dwell in it.
For out of the north there cometh up a nation against her, which shall make her land
desolate, and none shall dwell therein: they shall remove, they shall depart, both man and beast.
For a nation from the north will come against her; it will make her land a
desolation. No
one will live in it; both man and beast will
flee.”
Because of the wrath of the LORD it shall not be inhabited, but it shall be wholly
desolate: every
one that goeth by Babylon shall be
astonished, and hiss at all her plagues.
Because of the wrath of the LORD, she will not be inhabited; she will become completely
desolate. All who pass through Babylon will be
horrified and will hiss at all her wounds.
Cut off the
sower from Babylon, and him that handleth the
sickle in the time of harvest: for fear of the
oppressing sword they shall turn every
one to his people, and they shall
flee every
one to his own land.
Cut off the
sower from Babylon, and the
one who wields the
sickle at harvest time. In the face of the
oppressor’s sword, each will turn to his own people, each will
flee to his own land.
Call together the archers against Babylon: all ye that bend the bow, camp against it round about; let none thereof escape:
recompense her according to her work; according to all that she hath done, do unto her: for she hath been proud against the LORD, against the Holy
One of Israel.
Summon the archers against Babylon, all who string the bow.
Encamp all around her; let no
one escape. Repay her according to her deeds; do to her as she has done. For she has
defied the LORD, the Holy
One of Israel.
Behold, I am against thee, O thou most proud, saith the Lord GOD of hosts: for thy day is come, the time that I will visit thee.
“Behold, I am against you, O
arrogant one,” declares the Lord GOD of Hosts, “for your day has come, the time when I will
punish you.
And the most proud shall
stumble and fall, and none shall raise him up: and I will
kindle a fire in his cities, and it shall
devour all round about him.
As God overthrew
Sodom and
Gomorrah and the neighbour cities thereof, saith the LORD; so shall no man
abide there, neither shall any son of man dwell therein.
As God overthrew
Sodom and
Gomorrah along with their neighbors,” declares the LORD, “no
one will dwell there; no man will
abide there.
They shall hold the bow and the
lance: they are cruel, and will not
shew mercy: their voice shall
roar like the sea, and they shall
ride upon horses, every
one put in
array, like a man to the battle, against thee, O daughter of Babylon.
They
grasp the bow and
spear; they are cruel and
merciless. Their voice roars like the sea, and they
ride upon horses, lined up like men in formation against you, O Daughter of Babylon.
Behold, he shall come up like a lion from the swelling of Jordan unto the
habitation of the strong: but I will make them suddenly run away from her: and who is a chosen man, that I may
appoint over her? for who is like me? and who will
appoint me the time? and who is that
shepherd that will stand before me?
Behold,
one will come up like a lion from the thickets of the Jordan to the watered pasture. For in an instant I will
chase Babylon from her land. Who is the chosen
one I will
appoint for this? For who is like Me, and who can
challenge Me? What
shepherd can stand against Me?”
Therefore hear ye the counsel of the LORD, that he hath taken against Babylon; and his purposes, that he hath purposed against the land of the Chaldeans: Surely the least of the flock shall draw them out: surely he shall make their
habitation desolate with them.
Therefore hear the plans that the LORD has drawn up against Babylon and the strategies He has devised against the land of the Chaldeans: Surely the little
ones of the flock will be
dragged away; certainly their pasture will be made
desolate because of them.
For Israel hath not been
forsaken, nor Judah of his God, of the LORD of hosts; though their land was filled with sin against the Holy
One of Israel.
For Israel and Judah have not been abandoned by their God, the LORD of Hosts, though their land is full of guilt before the Holy One of Israel.”
We would have
healed Babylon, but she is not
healed:
forsake her, and let us go every
one into his own country: for her judgment reacheth unto heaven, and is lifted up even to the
skies.
“We tried to
heal Babylon, but she could not be
healed.
Abandon her! Let each of us go to his own land, for her judgment extends to the sky and reaches to the clouds.”
And they shall not take of thee a stone for a corner, nor a stone for foundations; but thou shalt be
desolate for ever, saith the LORD.
No
one shall
retrieve from you a cornerstone or a foundation stone, because you will become
desolate forever,” declares the LORD.
One post shall run to meet another, and
one messenger to meet another, to
shew the king of Babylon that his city is taken at
one end,
Her cities are a
desolation, a dry land, and a wilderness, a land wherein no man dwelleth, neither
doth any son of man pass thereby.
Her cities have become a
desolation, a dry and
arid land, a land where no
one lives, where no son of man passes through.
And lest your heart
faint, and ye fear for the rumour that shall be heard in the land; a rumour shall both come
one year, and after that in another year shall come a rumour, and violence in the land, ruler against ruler.
Do not let your heart grow
faint, and do not be afraid when the
rumor is heard in the land; for a
rumor will come
one year— and then another the next year— of violence in the land and of ruler against ruler.
Because the
spoiler is come upon her, even upon Babylon, and her mighty men are taken, every
one of their bows is broken: for the LORD God of recompences shall surely requite.
For a destroyer is coming against her— against Babylon. Her warriors will be captured, and their bows will be broken, for the LORD is a God of
retribution; He will repay in full.
Then shalt thou say, O LORD, thou hast spoken against this place, to cut it off, that none shall remain in it, neither man nor beast, but that it shall be
desolate for ever.
and say, ‘O LORD, You have promised to cut off this place so that no
one will remain—neither man nor beast. Indeed, it will be
desolate forever.’
Zedekiah was
one and twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Hamutal the daughter of Jeremiah of
Libnah.
Zedekiah was twenty-
one years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem eleven years. His mother’s name was Hamutal daughter of Jeremiah; she was from
Libnah.
The two pillars,
one sea, and twelve
brasen bulls that were under the bases, which king Solomon had made in the house of the LORD: the brass of all these vessels was without weight.
As for the two pillars, the Sea, the twelve bronze bulls under it, and the movable stands that King Solomon had made for the house of the LORD, the weight of the bronze from all these articles was beyond measure.
And concerning the pillars, the height of
one pillar was eighteen cubits; and a
fillet of twelve cubits did compass it; and the thickness thereof was four fingers: it was hollow.
Each
pillar was eighteen cubits tall and twelve cubits in circumference; each was hollow, four fingers thick.
And a
chapiter of brass was upon it; and the height of
one chapiter was five cubits, with network and pomegranates upon the chapiters round about, all of brass. The second
pillar also and the pomegranates were like unto these.
The bronze capital
atop one pillar was five cubits high, with a network of bronze pomegranates all around. The second
pillar, with its pomegranates, was similar.
She weepeth
sore in the night, and her tears are on her cheeks: among all her lovers she hath none to comfort her: all her friends have dealt
treacherously with her, they are become her enemies.
She weeps
aloud in the night, with tears upon her cheeks. Among all her lovers there is no
one to comfort her. All her friends have
betrayed her; they have become her enemies.
The ways of
Zion do
mourn, because none come to the solemn feasts: all her gates are
desolate: her priests
sigh, her virgins are
afflicted, and she is in bitterness.
The roads to
Zion mourn, because no
one comes to her appointed feasts. All her gates are deserted; her priests
groan, her maidens
grieve, and she herself is bitter with
anguish.
Her
filthiness is in her skirts; she remembereth not her last end; therefore she came down wonderfully: she had no comforter. O LORD, behold my
affliction: for the enemy hath
magnified himself.
Her uncleanness stains her skirts; she did not consider her end. Her
downfall was
astounding; there was no
one to comfort her. Look, O LORD, on my
affliction, for the enemy has triumphed!
For these things I
weep; mine eye, mine eye runneth down with water, because the comforter that should
relieve my soul is far from me: my children are
desolate, because the enemy prevailed.
For these things I
weep; my eyes flow with tears. For there is no
one nearby to comfort me, no
one to revive my soul. My children are destitute because the enemy has prevailed.
Zion spreadeth forth her hands, and there is none to comfort her: the LORD hath commanded concerning Jacob, that his
adversaries should be round about him: Jerusalem is as a
menstruous woman among them.
Zion stretches out her hands, but there is no
one to comfort her. The LORD has decreed against Jacob that his neighbors become his foes. Jerusalem has become an unclean thing among them.
They have heard that I
sigh: there is none to comfort me: all mine enemies have heard of my trouble; they are
glad that thou hast done it: thou
wilt bring the day that thou hast called, and they shall be like unto me.
People have heard my
groaning, but there is no
one to comfort me. All my enemies have heard of my trouble; they are
glad that You have caused it. May You bring the day You have
announced, so that they may become like me.
Thou hast called as in a solemn day my terrors round about, so that in the day of the LORD’S anger none escaped nor remained: those that I have
swaddled and brought up hath mine enemy consumed.
You summoned my attackers on every side, as for the day of an appointed feast. In the day of the LORD’s anger no
one escaped or survived; my enemy has destroyed those I
nurtured and reared.
He giveth his
cheek to him that smiteth him: he is filled full with reproach.
Let him offer his
cheek to the
one who would strike him; let him be filled with reproach.
Even the sea monsters draw out the breast, they give
suck to their young
ones: the daughter of my people is become cruel, like the ostriches in the wilderness.
Even jackals offer their breasts to
nurse their young, but the daughter of my people has become cruel, like an
ostrich in the wilderness.
The tongue of the
sucking child cleaveth to the roof of his mouth for
thirst: the young children ask bread, and no man breaketh it unto them.
The
nursing infant’s tongue clings in
thirst to the roof of his mouth. Little children
beg for bread, but no
one gives them any.
They have
wandered as blind men in the streets, they have
polluted themselves with blood, so that men could not touch their garments.
They
wandered blind in the streets,
defiled by this blood, so that no
one dared to touch their garments.
Servants have ruled over us: there is none that
doth deliver us out of their hand.
Slaves rule over us; there is no one to deliver us from their hands.
And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings.
but each had four faces and four wings.
Their wings were joined one to another; they turned not when they went; they went every one straight forward.
and their wings were touching
one another. They did not turn as they moved; each
one went straight
ahead.
Thus were their faces: and their wings were stretched upward; two wings of every one were joined one to another, and two covered their bodies.
Such were their faces. Their wings were spread upward; each had two wings touching the wings of the creature on either side, and two wings covering its body.
And they went every
one straight forward:
whither the spirit was to go, they went; and they turned not when they went.
Each creature went straight
ahead. Wherever the spirit would go, they would go, without turning as they moved.
Now as I
beheld the living creatures, behold
one wheel upon the earth by the living creatures, with his four faces.
When I looked at the living creatures, I saw a wheel on the ground beside each creature with its four faces.
The appearance of the wheels and their work was like unto the colour of a
beryl: and they four had
one likeness: and their appearance and their work was as it were a wheel in the middle of a wheel.
And under the
firmament were their wings straight, the
one toward the other: every
one had two, which covered on this side, and every
one had two, which covered on that side, their bodies.
And under the
expanse, their wings stretched out toward
one another. Each
one also had two wings covering its body.
As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake.
The appearance of the brilliant light all around Him was like that of a
rainbow in a cloud on a
rainy day. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. And when I saw it, I fell facedown and heard a voice speaking.
I heard also the noise of the wings of the living creatures that touched
one another, and the noise of the wheels over against them, and a noise of a great
rushing.
It was the sound of the wings of the living creatures
brushing against
one another and the sound of the wheels beside them, a great
rumbling sound.
And, behold, I will lay bands upon thee, and thou shalt not turn thee from one side to another, till thou hast ended the days of thy siege.
Now behold, I will
tie you up with ropes so you cannot turn from side to side until you have finished the days of your siege.
Take thou also unto thee wheat, and barley, and beans, and lentiles, and
millet, and
fitches, and put them in
one vessel, and make thee bread thereof, according to the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon thy side, three hundred and
ninety days shalt thou eat thereof.
But take wheat, barley, beans, lentils,
millet, and
spelt; put them in a single container and make them into bread for
yourself. This is what you are to eat during the 390 days you lie on your side.
That they may want bread and water, and be
astonied one with another, and
consume away for their iniquity.
So they will lack food and water; they will be
appalled at the sight of
one another wasting away in their iniquity.
For the seller shall not return to that which is sold, although they were yet alive: for the vision is touching the whole multitude thereof, which shall not return; neither shall any
strengthen himself in the iniquity of his life.
The seller will surely not recover what he sold while both remain alive. For the vision concerning the whole multitude will not be
revoked, and because of their iniquity, not
one of them will preserve his life.
They have
blown the
trumpet, even to make all ready; but none goeth to the battle: for my wrath is upon all the multitude thereof.
They have
blown the
trumpet and made everything ready, but no
one goes to war, for My wrath is upon the whole multitude.
But they that escape of them shall escape, and shall be on the mountains like doves of the valleys, all of them
mourning, every
one for his iniquity.
The survivors will escape and live in the mountains,
moaning like doves of the valley, each for his own iniquity.
And, behold, six men came from the way of the higher gate, which lieth toward the north, and every man a slaughter weapon in his hand; and
one man among them was clothed with linen, with a writer’s
inkhorn by his side: and they went in, and stood beside the
brasen altar.
And I saw six men coming from the direction of the Upper Gate, which faces north, each with a weapon of slaughter in his hand. With them was another man clothed in linen who had a writing
kit at his side. And they came in and stood beside the bronze altar.
And
one cherub stretched forth his hand from between the cherubims unto the fire that was between the cherubims, and took thereof, and put it into the hands of him that was clothed with linen: who took it, and went out.
Then
one of the
cherubim reached out his hand and took some of the fire that was among them. And he put it into the hands of the man clothed in linen, who received it and went out.
And when I looked, behold the four wheels by the cherubims,
one wheel by
one cherub, and another wheel by another
cherub: and the appearance of the wheels was as the colour of a
beryl stone.
And as for their appearances, they four had one likeness, as if a wheel had been in the midst of a wheel.
As for their appearance, all four had the same form, like a wheel within a wheel.
And every
one had four faces: the first face was the face of a
cherub, and the second face was the face of a man, and the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle.
Each of the
cherubim had four faces: the first face was that of a
cherub, the second that of a man, the third that of a lion, and the fourth that of an eagle.
And the cherubims lifted up their wings, and mounted up from the earth in my sight: when they went out, the wheels also were beside them, and every one stood at the door of the east gate of the LORD’S house; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above.
As I watched, the
cherubim lifted their wings and rose up from the ground, with the wheels beside them as they went. And they stopped at the entrance of the east gate of the house of the LORD, with the glory of the God of Israel above them.
Every
one had four faces
apiece, and every
one four wings; and the likeness of the hands of a man was under their wings.
Each had four faces and four wings, with what looked like human hands under their wings.
And the likeness of their faces was the same faces which I saw by the river of
Chebar, their appearances and themselves: they went every
one straight forward.
Their faces looked like the faces I had seen by the River Kebar. Each creature went straight
ahead.
And the Spirit of the LORD fell upon me, and said unto me, Speak; Thus saith the LORD; Thus have ye said, O house of Israel: for I know the things that come into your mind, every one of them.
And the Spirit of the LORD fell upon me and told me to declare that this is what the LORD says: “That is what you are thinking, O house of Israel; and I know the thoughts that arise in your minds.
And I will give them
one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the
stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh:
And I will give them singleness of heart and put a new spirit within them; I will remove their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh,
Because, even because they have
seduced my people, saying, Peace; and there was no peace; and
one built up a wall, and, lo, others
daubed it with untempered
morter:
Because they have led My people
astray, saying, ‘Peace,’ when there is no peace, and
whitewashing any
flimsy wall that is built,
For every
one of the house of Israel, or of the stranger that sojourneth in Israel, which separateth himself from me, and setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to a prophet to
enquire of him concerning me; I the LORD will answer him by myself:
For when any
Israelite or any foreigner dwelling in Israel separates himself from Me, sets up idols in his heart, and puts a wicked
stumbling block before his face, and then comes to the prophet to inquire of Me, I the LORD will answer him Myself.
Shall wood be taken thereof to do any work? or will men take a pin of it to
hang any vessel
thereon?
Can wood be taken from it to make something useful? Or can
one make from it a
peg on which to
hang utensils?
And I will set my face against them; they shall go out from
one fire, and another fire shall
devour them; and ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I set my face against them.
And I will set My face against them. Though they may have escaped the fire, yet another fire will
consume them. And when I set My face against them, you will know that I am the LORD.
None eye
pitied thee, to do any of these unto thee, to have
compassion upon thee; but thou
wast cast out in the open field, to the
lothing of thy person, in the day that thou
wast born.
No
one cared enough for you to do even
one of these things out of
compassion for you. Instead, you were thrown out into the open field, because you were
despised on the day of your birth.
But thou
didst trust in thine own beauty, and playedst the
harlot because of thy
renown, and pouredst out thy fornications on every
one that passed by; his it was.
But because of your fame, you trusted in your beauty and played the
harlot. You
lavished your favors on
everyone who passed by, and your beauty was theirs for the asking.
Thou hast built thy high place at every head of the way, and hast made thy beauty to be
abhorred, and hast opened thy feet to every
one that passed by, and multiplied thy whoredoms.
At the head of every street you built your lofty shrines and
degraded your beauty. With increasing
promiscuity, you spread your legs to all who passed by.
And the contrary is in thee from other women in thy whoredoms, whereas none followeth thee to commit whoredoms: and in that thou givest a reward, and no reward is given unto thee, therefore thou art contrary.
So your
prostitution is the opposite of that of other women: No
one solicited your favors, and you paid a fee instead of receiving
one; so you are the very opposite!
Behold, every
one that useth
proverbs shall use this
proverb against thee, saying, As is the mother, so is her daughter.
But he rebelled against him in sending his ambassadors into Egypt, that they might give him horses and much people. Shall he
prosper? shall he escape that doeth such things? or shall he break the covenant, and be delivered?
But this king rebelled against Babylon by sending his envoys to Egypt to ask for horses and a large army. Will he
flourish? Will the
one who does such things escape? Can he break a covenant and yet escape?’
Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also take of the highest branch of the high
cedar, and will set it; I will crop off from the top of his young twigs a tender
one, and will plant it upon an high mountain and eminent:
This is what the Lord GOD says: ‘I will take a shoot from the lofty top of the
cedar, and I will set it out. I will
pluck a tender
sprig from its
topmost shoots, and I will plant it on a high and lofty mountain.
Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.
Behold, every soul belongs to Me; both father and son are Mine. The soul who sins is the one who will die.
If he
beget a son that is a
robber, a
shedder of blood, and that doeth the like to any
one of these things,
Now suppose that man has a violent son, who sheds blood or does any of these things,
The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.
The soul who sins is the one who will die. A son will not bear the iniquity of his father, and a father will not bear the iniquity of his son. The righteousness of the righteous man will fall upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked man will fall upon him.
Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every
one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD.
Repent, and turn
yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.
Therefore, O house of Israel, I will judge you, each according to his ways, declares the Lord GOD.
Repent and turn from all your transgressions, so that your iniquity will not become your
downfall.
And she brought up
one of her whelps: it became a young lion, and it learned to catch the prey; it
devoured men.
She brought up
one of her cubs, and he became a young lion. After learning to
tear his prey, he
devoured men.
As for you, O house of Israel, thus saith the Lord GOD; Go ye, serve ye every
one his idols, and
hereafter also, if ye will not
hearken unto me: but
pollute ye my holy name no more with your gifts, and with your idols.
And as for you, O house of Israel, this is what the Lord GOD says: Go and serve your idols, every
one of you. But afterward, you will surely
listen to Me, and you will no longer
defile My holy name with your gifts and idols.
Go thee
one way or other, either on the right hand, or on the left,
whithersoever thy face is set.
Slash to the right; set your
blade to the left— wherever your
blade is directed.
Also, thou son of man,
appoint thee two ways, that the sword of the king of Babylon may come: both
twain shall come forth out of
one land: and choose thou a place, choose it at the head of the way to the city.
“Now you, son of man, mark out two roads for the sword of the king of Babylon to take, both starting from the same land. And make a
signpost where the road branches off to each city.
Mark out
one road for the sword to come against Rabbah of the
Ammonites, and another against Judah into fortified Jerusalem.
Behold, the princes of Israel, every one were in thee to their power to shed blood.
See how every prince of Israel within you has used his power to shed blood.
And
one hath committed
abomination with his neighbour’s wife; and another hath
lewdly defiled his daughter in law; and another in thee hath humbled his sister, his father’s daughter.
One man commits an
abomination with his
neighbor’s wife; another wickedly defiles his daughter-in-law; and yet another
violates his sister, his own father’s daughter.
As they gather silver, and brass, and iron, and lead, and tin, into the midst of the furnace, to blow the fire upon it, to
melt it; so will I gather you in mine anger and in my
fury, and I will leave you there, and
melt you.
Just as
one gathers silver, copper, iron, lead, and tin into the furnace to
melt with a
fiery blast, so I will gather you in My anger and wrath, leave you there, and
melt you.
And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the
hedge, and stand in the
gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.
I searched for a man among them to repair the wall and stand in the
gap before Me on behalf of the land, so that I should not destroy it. But I found no
one.
Son of man, there were two women, the daughters of one mother:
“Son of man, there were two women, daughters of the same mother,
Then I saw that she was
defiled, that they took both
one way,
And I saw that she too had
defiled herself; both of them had taken the same path.
And your tires shall be upon your heads, and your
