And Jesus said,
Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone
out of me.
But Jesus declared, “Someone touched Me, for I know that power has gone out from Me.”
And he put them all
out, and took her by the hand, and called, saying,
Maid, arise.
But Jesus took her by the hand and called out, “Child, get up!”
And he sent them to
preach the kingdom of God, and to
heal the sick.
And He sent them
out to
proclaim the kingdom of God and to
heal the sick.
And
whosoever will not receive you, when ye go
out of that city,
shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them.
If
anyone does not
welcome you,
shake the dust off your feet when you leave that town, as a testimony against them.”
And they departed, and went through the towns, preaching the gospel, and
healing every where.
So they set
out and went from village to village, preaching the gospel and
healing people everywhere.
And the people, when they knew it, followed him: and he received them, and spake unto them of the kingdom of God, and
healed them that had need of
healing.
But the crowds found
out and followed Him. He
welcomed them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and He
healed those who needed
healing.
And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.
And a voice came from the cloud, saying, “This is My Son, whom I have chosen.
Listen to Him!”
And, behold, a man of the company
cried out, saying, Master, I
beseech thee, look upon my son: for he is mine only child.
Suddenly a man in the crowd
cried out, “Teacher, I
beg You to look at my son, for he is my only child.
And, lo, a spirit taketh him, and he suddenly crieth
out; and it teareth him that he foameth again, and
bruising him hardly departeth from him.
A spirit keeps seizing him, and he screams
abruptly. It throws him into convulsions so that he foams at the mouth. It keeps
mauling him and rarely departs from him.
And I
besought thy disciples to cast him
out; and they could not.
I
begged Your disciples to drive it
out, but they were unable.”
And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting
out devils in thy name; and we
forbad him, because he followeth not with us.
“Master,” said John, “we saw someone driving
out demons in Your name, and we tried to stop him, because he does not
accompany us.”
And it came to pass, when the time was come that he should be received up, he
stedfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem,
Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.
And He told them, “The harvest is
plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send
out workers into His harvest.
Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among
wolves.
Go! I am sending you
out like lambs among
wolves.
But into
whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you not, go your ways
out into the streets of the same, and say,
But if you enter a town and they do not
welcome you, go into the streets and declare,
And on the
morrow when he departed, he took
out two
pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and
whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.
The next day he took
out two
denarii and gave them to the
innkeeper. ‘Take care of him,’ he said, ‘and on my return I will repay you for any additional expense.’
And he was casting
out a devil, and it was
dumb. And it came to pass, when the devil was gone
out, the
dumb spake; and the people wondered.
One day Jesus was driving
out a
demon that was
mute. And when the
demon was gone, the man who had been
mute spoke. The crowds were
amazed,
But some of them said, He casteth
out devils through
Beelzebub the chief of the devils.
but some of them said, “It is by Beelzebul, the prince of the demons, that He drives out demons.”
If
Satan also be divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand? because ye say that I cast
out devils through
Beelzebub.
If
Satan is divided against himself, how can his kingdom stand? After all, you say that I drive
out demons by Beelzebul.
And if I by
Beelzebub cast
out devils, by whom do your sons cast them
out? therefore shall they be your judges.
And if I drive out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your sons drive them out? So then, they will be your judges.
But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you.
But if I drive out demons by the finger of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.
When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out.
When an unclean spirit comes
out of a man, it passes through
arid places seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’
And the Lord said unto him, Now do ye
Pharisees make clean the
outside of the cup and the
platter; but your inward part is full of
ravening and wickedness.
“Now then,” said the Lord, “you
Pharisees clean the
outside of the cup and
dish, but inside you are full of
greed and wickedness.
Ye fools, did not he that made that which is without make that which is within also?
You fools! Did not the One who made the outside make the inside as well?
Laying wait for him, and seeking to catch something
out of his mouth, that they might
accuse him.
waiting to catch Him in something He might say.
And he said unto them, Take
heed, and
beware of
covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.
And He said to them, “Watch
out! Guard
yourselves against every form of
greed, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.”
Sell that ye have, and give
alms; provide
yourselves bags which wax not old, a
treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no
thief approacheth, neither
moth corrupteth.
And he said also to the people, When ye see a cloud rise
out of the west,
straightway ye say, There cometh a shower; and so it is.
Then Jesus said to the crowds, “As soon as you see a cloud rising in the west, you say, ‘A shower is coming,’ and that is what happens.
I tell thee, thou shalt not depart thence, till thou hast paid the very last
mite.
I tell you, you will not get
out until you have paid the very last
penny.”
When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to
knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:
After the master of the house gets up and shuts the door, you will stand
outside knocking and saying, ‘Lord, open the door for us.’ But he will reply, ‘I do not know where you are from.’
There shall be
weeping and
gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you
yourselves thrust
out.
There will be
weeping and
gnashing of teeth when you see Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but you
yourselves are thrown
out.
The same day there came certain of the
Pharisees, saying unto him, Get thee
out, and depart hence: for Herod will kill thee.
At that very hour, some
Pharisees came to Jesus and told Him, “Leave this place and get away, because Herod wants to kill You.”
And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast
out devils, and I do cures to day and to
morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.
But Jesus replied, “Go tell that fox, ‘Look, I will keep driving
out demons and
healing people
today and
tomorrow, and on the third day I will reach My
goal.’
Nevertheless I must walk to day, and to
morrow, and the day following: for it cannot be that a prophet perish
out of Jerusalem.
Nevertheless, I must keep going
today and
tomorrow and the next day, for it is not
admissible for a prophet to perish
outside of Jerusalem.
And answered them, saying, Which of you shall have an
ass or an ox fallen into a pit, and will not
straightway pull him
out on the sabbath day?
And He asked them, “Which of you whose son or ox falls into a pit on the Sabbath day will not immediately pull him out?”
And he put forth a parable to those which were
bidden, when he marked how they chose
out the chief rooms; saying unto them,
When Jesus noticed how the guests chose the places of honor, He told them a parable:
And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them: I pray thee have me
excused.
Another said, ‘I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I am going to try them
out. Please
excuse me.’
So that servant came, and shewed his lord these things. Then the master of the house being
angry said to his servant, Go
out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in
hither the poor, and the
maimed, and the
halt, and the blind.
The servant returned and reported all this to his master. Then the owner of the house became
angry and said to his servant, ‘Go
out quickly into the streets and
alleys of the city, and bring in the poor, the
crippled, the blind, and the
lame.’
And the lord said unto the servant, Go
out into the
highways and hedges, and
compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.
So the master told his servant, ‘Go
out to the
highways and hedges and
compel them to come in, so that my house will be full.
It is neither fit for the land, nor yet for the
dunghill; but men cast it
out. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
It is fit neither for the soil nor for the manure pile, and it is thrown out. He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”
And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed
swine.
So he went and
hired himself
out to a citizen of that country, who sent him into his fields to feed the pigs.
And he was
angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father
out, and intreated him.
The older son became
angry and refused to go in. So his father came
out and
pleaded with him.
I am resolved what to do, that, when I am put
out of the
stewardship, they may receive me into their houses.
I know what I will do, so that after my removal from management, people will
welcome me into their homes.’
And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one
tittle of the law to fail.
But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for a single stroke of a pen to drop out of the Law.
And he
cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send
Lazarus, that he may dip the
tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am
tormented in this flame.
So he
cried out, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me and send
Lazarus to dip the
tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue. For I am in
agony in this fire.’
And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them.
People will tell you, ‘Look, there He is!’ or ‘Look, here He is!’ Do not go
out or
chase after them.
For as the
lightning, that lighteneth
out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.
For just as the
lightning flashes and lights up the sky from one end to the other, so will be the Son of Man in His day.
But the same day that Lot went
out of
Sodom it rained fire and
brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
But on the day Lot left
Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all.
Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will
avenge her, lest by her continual coming she
weary me.
yet because this widow keeps
pestering me, I will give her justice. Then she will stop wearing me
out with her perpetual requests.’”
And shall not God
avenge his own
elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?
Will not God bring about justice for His
elect who cry
out to Him day and night? Will He continue to
defer their help?
I tell you that he will
avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?
I tell you, He will
promptly carry
out justice on their behalf. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on earth?”
And he
cried, saying, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
So he called out, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”
And they which went before
rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he
cried so much the more, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
Those who led the way
admonished him to be silent, but he
cried out all the louder, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”
And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading.
When he returned from
procuring his
kingship, he summoned the servants to whom he had given the money, to find
out what each one had
earned.
And he saith unto him,
Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was an
austere man, taking up that I laid not down, and
reaping that I did not
sow:
His master replied, ‘You wicked servant, I will judge you by your own words. So you knew that I am a harsh man, withdrawing what I did not deposit and
reaping what I did not
sow?
And it came to pass, when he was come
nigh to
Bethphage and
Bethany, at the mount called the mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples,
As He approached
Bethphage and
Bethany at the Mount of Olives, He sent
out two of His disciples,
And they that were sent went their way, and found even as he had said unto them.
So those who were sent went out and found it just as Jesus had told them.
And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.
“I tell you,” He answered, “if they remain silent, the very stones will cry out.”
And he went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold therein, and them that bought;
Then Jesus entered the temple courts and began to drive out those who were selling there.
Then began he to speak to the people this parable; A certain man planted a
vineyard, and let it forth to
husbandmen, and went into a far country for a long time.
Then He proceeded to tell the people this parable: “A man planted a
vineyard, rented it
out to some tenants, and went away for a long time.
And again he sent a third: and they wounded him also, and cast him out.
Then he sent a third, but they wounded him and threw him out.
So they cast him
out of the
vineyard, and killed him. What therefore shall the lord of the
vineyard do unto them?
So they threw him
out of the
vineyard and killed him. What then will the owner of the
vineyard do to them?
For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her
penury hath cast in all the living that she had.
For they all contributed
out of their
surplus, but she
out of her poverty has put in all she had to live on.”
Then let them which are in Judaea
flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart
out; and let not them that are in the countries enter
thereinto.
Then let those who are in
Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the city get
out, and let those in the country stay
out of the city.
And in the day time he was teaching in the temple; and at night he went out, and abode in the mount that is called the mount of Olives.
Every day Jesus taught at the temple, but every evening He went
out to
spend the night on the Mount of Olives.
Likewise also the cup after
supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.
In the same way, after
supper He took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is poured
out for you.
And he said unto them, When I sent you without
purse, and
scrip, and
shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing.
Then Jesus asked them, “When I sent you
out without
purse or
bag or
sandals, did you lack anything?” “Nothing,” they answered.
And he came
out, and went, as he was
wont, to the mount of Olives; and his disciples also followed him.
Jesus went out as usual to the Mount of Olives, and the disciples followed Him.
Then Jesus said unto the chief priests, and captains of the temple, and the elders, which were come to him, Be ye come
out, as against a
thief, with swords and
staves?
Then Jesus said to the chief priests, temple officers, and elders who had come for Him, “Have you come out with swords and clubs as you would against an outlaw?
And Peter went
out, and
wept bitterly.
And he went
outside and
wept bitterly.
And they
cried out all at once, saying, Away with this man, and release unto us Barabbas:
But they all
cried out in
unison: “Away with this man! Release Barabbas to us!”
And as they led him away, they laid hold upon one Simon, a
Cyrenian, coming
out of the country, and on him they laid the cross, that he might bear it after Jesus.
As the soldiers led Him away, they seized Simon of
Cyrene on his way in from the country, and put the cross on him to carry behind Jesus.
And when Jesus had
cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I
commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.
Then Jesus called out in a loud voice, “Father, into Your hands I commit My Spirit.” And when He had said this, He breathed His last.
And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he
vanished out of their sight.
Then their eyes were opened and they recognized Jesus—and He disappeared from their sight.
And he led them
out as far as to
Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them.
When Jesus had led them
out as far as
Bethany, He lifted up His hands and blessed them.
John bare witness of him, and
cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.
John
testified concerning Him. He
cried out, saying, “This is He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me has surpassed me because He was before me.’”
The day following Jesus would go forth into
Galilee, and findeth Philip, and saith unto him, Follow me.
The next day Jesus decided to set
out for
Galilee. Finding Philip, He told him, “Follow Me.”
And
Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come
out of
Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.
“Can anything good come from
Nazareth?”
Nathanael asked. “Come and see,” said Philip.
And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine.
When the wine ran out, Jesus’ mother said to Him, “They have no more wine.”
And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it.
“Now draw some
out,” He said, “and take it to the master of the
banquet.” They did so,
And when he had made a
scourge of small cords, he drove them all
out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured
out the changers’ money, and overthrew the tables;
So He made a
whip out of cords and drove all from the temple courts, both sheep and cattle. He poured
out the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables.
And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father’s house an house of
merchandise.
To those selling doves He said, “Get these
out of here! How
dare you turn My Father’s house into a marketplace!”
Then they went out of the city, and came unto him.
So they left the town and made their way toward Jesus.
When he heard that Jesus was come
out of Judaea into
Galilee, he went unto him, and
besought him that he would come down, and
heal his son: for he was at the point of death.
When he heard that Jesus had come from
Judea to
Galilee, he went and
begged Him to come down and
heal his son, who was about to die.
This is again the second
miracle that Jesus did, when he was come
out of Judaea into
Galilee.
This was now the second sign that Jesus performed after coming from
Judea into
Galilee.
And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of
damnation.
and come out—those who have done good to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil to the resurrection of judgment.
And entered into a ship, and went over the sea toward
Capernaum. And it was now dark, and Jesus was not come to them.
got into a boat, and started across the sea to
Capernaum. It was already dark, and Jesus had not yet gone
out to them.
All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
Everyone the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will never drive away.
Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
Stop judging by outward appearances, and start judging justly.”
Then
cried Jesus in the temple as he taught, saying, Ye both know me, and ye know whence I am: and I am not come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom ye know not.
Then Jesus, still teaching in the temple courts,
cried out, “You know Me, and you know where I am from. I have not come of My own
accord, but He who sent Me is true. You do not know Him,
In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and
cried, saying, If any man
thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
On the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood up and called
out in a loud voice, “If
anyone is
thirsty, let him come to Me and drink.
He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said,
out of his
belly shall flow rivers of living water.
Whoever believes in Me, as the Scripture has said: ‘Streams of living water will flow from within him.’”
Others said, This is the Christ. But some said, Shall Christ come
out of
Galilee?
Others declared, “This is the Christ.” But still others asked, “How can the Christ come from
Galilee?
Hath not the scripture said, That Christ cometh of the seed of David, and
out of the town of
Bethlehem, where David was?
Doesn’t the Scripture say that the Christ will come from the line of David and from
Bethlehem, the village where David lived?”
They answered and said unto him, Art thou also of
Galilee? Search, and look: for
out of
Galilee ariseth no prophet.
“Aren’t you also from
Galilee?” they replied. “Look into it, and you will see that no prophet comes
out of
Galilee.”
And they which heard it, being
convicted by their own conscience, went
out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
When they heard this, they began to go away one by one, beginning with the older ones, until only Jesus was left, with the woman standing there.
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a
liar, and the father of it.
You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry
out his desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, refusing to
uphold the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, because he is a
liar and the father of lies.
Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus
hid himself, and went
out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.
At this, they
picked up stones to throw at Him. But Jesus was hidden and went
out of the temple area.
These words spake his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man did
confess that he was Christ, he should be put
out of the
synagogue.
His parents said this because they were afraid of the Jews. For the Jews had already determined that
anyone who
confessed Jesus as the Christ would be put
out of the
synagogue.
They answered and said unto him, Thou
wast altogether born in sins, and
dost thou teach us? And they cast him
out.
They replied, “You were born in utter sin, and you are
instructing us?” And they threw him
out.
