For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee.
Though the mountains may be
removed and the hills may be
shaken, My loving devotion will not depart from you, and My covenant of peace will not be broken,” says the LORD, who has
compassion on you.
In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee.
In righteousness you will be established, far from oppression, for you will have no fear. Terror will be far removed, for it will not come near you.
Then shalt thou call, and the LORD shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;
Then you will call, and the LORD will answer; you will cry out, and He will say, ‘Here I am.’ If you
remove the yoke from your midst, the pointing of the finger and
malicious talk,
If thou
wilt return, O Israel, saith the LORD, return unto me: and if thou
wilt put away thine abominations out of my sight, then shalt thou not
remove.
“If you will return, O Israel, return to Me,” declares the LORD. “If you will
remove your
detestable idols from My sight and no longer waver,
Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest my
fury come forth like fire, and burn that none can
quench it, because of the evil of your doings.
Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and
remove the foreskins of your hearts, O men of Judah and people of Jerusalem. Otherwise, My wrath will break out like fire and burn with no one to
extinguish it, because of your evil deeds.”
Then will I cause to cease from the cities of Judah, and from the streets of Jerusalem, the voice of
mirth, and the voice of
gladness, the voice of the
bridegroom, and the voice of the
bride: for the land shall be
desolate.
I will
remove from the cities of Judah and the streets of Jerusalem the sounds of joy and
gladness and the voices of the
bride and
bridegroom, for the land will become a wasteland.”
At that time, saith the LORD, they shall bring out the bones of the kings of Judah, and the bones of his princes, and the bones of the priests, and the bones of the prophets, and the bones of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, out of their graves:
“At that time,” declares the LORD, “the bones of the kings of Judah, the bones of the officials, the bones of the priests, the bones of the prophets, and the bones of the people of Jerusalem will be removed from their graves.
And I will cause them to be
removed into all kingdoms of the earth, because of
Manasseh the son of
Hezekiah king of Judah, for that which he did in Jerusalem.
I will make them a
horror to all the kingdoms of the earth because of what
Manasseh son of
Hezekiah king of Judah did in Jerusalem.
For thus saith the LORD, Enter not into the house of
mourning, neither go to
lament nor
bemoan them: for I have taken away my peace from this people, saith the LORD, even lovingkindness and
mercies.

removed from this people My peace, My loving devotion, and My
compassion,” declares the LORD.
For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will cause to cease out of this place in your eyes, and in your days, the voice of
mirth, and the voice of
gladness, the voice of the
bridegroom, and the voice of the
bride.
For this is what the LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: I am going to
remove from this place, before your very eyes and in your days, the sounds of joy and
gladness, the voices of the
bride and
bridegroom.
And I will deliver them to be
removed into all the kingdoms of the earth for their
hurt, to be a reproach and a
proverb, a
taunt and a
curse, in all places
whither I shall drive them.
For they
prophesy a lie unto you, to
remove you far from your land; and that I should drive you out, and ye should perish.
For they
prophesy to you a lie that will serve to
remove you from your land; I will
banish you and you will perish.
Within two full years will I bring again into this place all the vessels of the LORD’S house, that
Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took away from this place, and carried them to Babylon:
Within two years I will restore to this place all the articles of the house of the LORD that
Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon
removed from here and carried to Babylon.
Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will cast thee from off the face of the earth: this year thou shalt die, because thou hast taught rebellion against the LORD.

And I will
persecute them with the sword, with the famine, and with the
pestilence, and will deliver them to be
removed to all the kingdoms of the earth, to be a
curse, and an
astonishment, and an
hissing, and a reproach, among all the nations
whither I have driven them:
I will pursue them with sword and famine and plague. I will make them a
horror to all the kingdoms of the earth—a
curse, a
desolation, and an object of
scorn and reproach among all the nations to which I
banish them.
For this city hath been to me as a
provocation of mine anger and of my
fury from the day that they built it even unto this day; that I should
remove it from before my face,
For this city has
aroused My wrath and
fury from the day it was built until now. Therefore I will
remove it from My presence
Therefore thus saith the LORD; Ye have not
hearkened unto me, in
proclaiming liberty, every one to his brother, and every man to his neighbour: behold, I
proclaim a liberty for you, saith the LORD, to the sword, to the
pestilence, and to the famine; and I will make you to be
removed into all the kingdoms of the earth.
Therefore this is what the LORD says: You have not obeyed Me; you have not proclaimed freedom, each man for his brother and for his
neighbor. So now I
proclaim freedom for you, declares the LORD—freedom to fall by sword, by plague, and by famine! I will make you a
horror to all the kingdoms of the earth.

gladness are
removed from the
orchard and from the fields of Moab. I have stopped the flow of wine from the presses; no one treads them with shouts of joy; their shouts are not for joy.

desolation. No one will live in it; both man and beast will
flee.”

Jerusalem hath
grievously sinned; therefore she is
removed: all that honoured her
despise her, because they have seen her nakedness:
yea, she sigheth, and turneth backward.
Jerusalem has
sinned greatly; therefore she has become an object of
scorn. All who honored her now
despise her, for they have seen her nakedness; she herself groans and turns away.
And thou hast
removed my soul far off from peace: I
forgat prosperity.
My soul has been deprived of peace; I have forgotten what prosperity is.
They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be
removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the LORD: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their
bowels: because it is the stumblingblock of their iniquity.
They will throw their silver into the streets, and their gold will seem unclean. Their silver and gold cannot save them in the day of the wrath of the LORD. They cannot satisfy their appetites or fill their stomachs with wealth, for it became the
stumbling block that brought their iniquity.
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Your slain whom ye have laid in the midst of it, they are the flesh, and this city is the

detestable things thereof and all the abominations thereof from thence.

remove all its

remove by day in their sight; and thou shalt
remove from thy place to another place in their sight: it may be they will consider, though they be a
rebellious house.

pack your bags for exile. In broad
daylight, set out from your place and go to another as they watch. Perhaps they will understand, though they are a
rebellious house.
Say, I am your sign: like as I have done, so shall it be done unto them: they shall remove and go into captivity.
You are to say, ‘I am a sign to you.’ Just as it happened here, so will it be done to them; they will go into exile as
captives.
And they were
haughty, and committed
abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good.

haughty and committed abominations before Me. Therefore I
removed them, as you have seen.
Thus saith the Lord GOD;
Remove the
diadem, and take off the crown: this shall not be the same:

wearied herself with lies, and her great
scum went not forth out of her: her
scum shall be in the fire.

frustrated every effort; its thick
rust has not been
removed, even by the fire.

broidered garments: they shall
clothe themselves with
trembling; they shall sit upon the ground, and shall
tremble at every moment, and be
astonished at thee.
All the princes of the sea will descend from their thrones,
remove their robes, and strip off their
embroidered garments. Clothed with terror, they will sit on the ground,
trembling every moment,
appalled over you.
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will give the land of Egypt unto Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon; and he shall take her multitude, and take her
spoil, and take her prey; and it shall be the wages for his army.

Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, who will carry off its wealth, seize its
spoil, and
remove its
plunder. This will be the wages for his army.
Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against the
shepherds; and I will require my flock at their hand, and cause them to cease from feeding the flock; neither shall the
shepherds feed themselves any more; for I will deliver my flock from their mouth, that they may not be meat for them.
This is what the Lord GOD says: ‘Behold, I am against the
shepherds, and I will demand from them My flock and
remove them from tending the flock, so that they can no longer feed themselves. For I will deliver My flock from their mouths, and it will no longer be food for them.’
Son of man, when the house of Israel dwelt in their own land, they
defiled it by their own way and by their doings: their way was before me as the uncleanness of a
removed woman.

defiled it by their own ways and deeds. Their
behavior before Me was like the uncleanness of a woman’s impurity.
A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the

Now let them put away their
whoredom, and the carcases of their kings, far from me, and I will dwell in the midst of them for ever.

remove far from Me their

forever.
Thus saith the Lord GOD; Let it suffice you, O princes of Israel:
remove violence and
spoil, and
execute judgment and justice, take away your exactions from my people, saith the Lord GOD.

Plead with your mother,
plead: for she is not my wife, neither am I her husband: let her therefore put away her whoredoms out of her sight, and her
adulteries from between her breasts;
Rebuke your mother,
rebuke her, for she is not My wife, and I am not her husband. Let her
remove the
adultery from her face and the unfaithfulness from between her breasts.

Baalim out of her mouth, and they shall no more be remembered by their name.

remove far off from you the northern army, and will drive him into a land barren and
desolate, with his face toward the east sea, and his hinder part toward the utmost sea, and his
stink shall come up, and his ill savour shall come up, because he hath done great things.
The northern army I will drive away from you,
banishing it to a barren and
desolate land, its front ranks into the Eastern Sea, and its rear guard into the Western Sea. And its
stench will rise; its foul
odor will
ascend. For He has done great things.
The children also of Judah and the children of Jerusalem have ye sold unto the Grecians, that ye might remove them far from their border.

captive with the first that go
captive, and the

invoked.”

devise an evil, from which ye shall not
remove your necks; neither shall ye go
haughtily: for this time is evil.
Therefore this is what the LORD says: “I am
planning against this nation a
disaster from which you cannot free your necks. Then you will not walk so proudly, for it will be a time of
calamity.
In that day shall one take up a parable against you, and
lament with a
doleful lamentation, and say, We be utterly
spoiled: he hath changed the portion of my people: how hath he
removed it from me! turning away he hath divided our fields.
In that day they will take up a
proverb against you and
taunt you with this bitter
lamentation: ‘We are utterly ruined! He has changed the portion of my people. How He has
removed it from me! He has
allotted our fields to traitors.’”
And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD, that I will cut off thy horses out of the midst of thee, and I will destroy thy
chariots:
“In that day,” declares the LORD, “I will
remove your horses from among you and
wreck your
chariots.
And I will cut off the cities of thy land, and throw down all thy strong holds:

remove the cities of your land and
tear down all your strongholds.

The day for rebuilding your walls will come— the day for extending your boundary.
In that day shalt thou not be
ashamed for all thy doings, wherein thou hast
transgressed against me: for then I will take away out of the midst of thee them that
rejoice in thy pride, and thou shalt no more be
haughty because of my holy mountain.

transgressed against Me. For then I will
remove from among you those who
rejoice in their pride, and you will never again be
haughty on My holy mountain.
And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the
filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will
clothe thee with change of
raiment.

filthy clothes!” Then he said to Joshua, “See, I have
removed your iniquity, and I will
clothe you with splendid robes.”
For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone shall be seven eyes: behold, I will
engrave the graving thereof, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will
remove the iniquity of that land in one day.

engrave on it an inscription, declares the LORD of Hosts, and I will
remove the iniquity of this land in a single day.

curse that goeth forth over the face of the whole earth: for every one that stealeth shall be cut off as on this side according to it; and every one that sweareth shall be cut off as on that side according to it.
Then he told me, “This is the
curse that is going out over the face of all the land, for according to one side of the
scroll, every
thief will be
removed; and according to the other side, every
perjurer will be
removed.
And I will take away his blood out of his mouth, and his abominations from between his teeth: but he that remaineth, even he, shall be for our God, and he shall be as a governor in Judah, and
Ekron as a Jebusite.
I will
remove the blood from their mouths and the abominations from between their teeth. Then they too will become a
remnant for our God; they will become like a clan in Judah, and
Ekron will be like the Jebusites.
And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall no more be remembered: and also I will cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to pass out of the land.

erase the names of the idols from the land, and they will no longer be remembered. I will also
remove the prophets and the spirit of impurity from the land.
For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses
rifled, and the women
ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

looted, and the women
ravished. Half of the city will go into exile, but the rest of the people will not be
removed from the city.

cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall
remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.
On that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west, forming a great valley, with half the mountain moving to the north and half to the south.
Thou
hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the
mote out of thy brother’s eye.
You
hypocrite! First take the beam out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to
remove the
speck from your brother’s eye.
And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for
verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of
mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain,
Remove hence to
yonder place; and it shall
remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
“Because you have so little faith,” He answered. “For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of a
mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
Jesus answered and said unto them,
Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou
removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.
“Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “if you have faith and do not doubt, not only will you do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen.
And after that they had
mocked him, they took the
robe off from him, and put his own
raiment on him, and led him away to
crucify him.
After they had
mocked Him, they
removed the
robe and put His own clothes back on Him. Then they led Him away to
crucify Him.
For
verily I say unto you, That
whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou
removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have
whatsoever he saith.
“Truly I tell you that if
anyone says to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and has no doubt in his heart but believes that it will happen, it will be done for him.
And when they had
mocked him, they took off the purple from him, and put his own clothes on him, and led him out to
crucify him.
After they had
mocked Him, they
removed the purple
robe and put His own clothes back on Him. Then they led Him out to
crucify Him.
Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the
mote that is in thine eye, when thou
thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou
hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the
mote that is in thy brother’s eye.
How can you say, ‘Brother, let me take the
speck out of your eye,’ while you
yourself fail to see the beam in your own eye? You
hypocrite! First take the beam out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to
remove the
speck from your brother’s eye.
Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.
“Father, if You are willing, take this cup from Me. Yet not My will, but Yours be done.”
The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,)
besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.

Pilate to have the legs broken and the bodies
removed.
And after this Joseph of Arimathaea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews,
besought Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus: and
Pilate gave him leave. He came therefore, and took the body of Jesus.

Arimathea, who was a disciple of Jesus (but secretly for fear of the Jews), asked
Pilate to let him
remove the body of Jesus.
Pilate gave him permission, so he came and
removed His body.

Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he
girt his fisher’s coat unto him, (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea.
Then the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” As soon as Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment (for he had
removed it) and
jumped into the sea.
Then came he out of the land of the Chaldaeans, and dwelt in Charran: and from thence, when his father was dead, he removed him into this land, wherein ye now dwell.
So Abraham left the land of the Chaldeans and settled in
Haran. After his father died, God brought him out of that place and into this land where you are now living.
In his
humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth.
In His
humiliation He was deprived of justice. Who can recount His descendants? For His life was
removed from the earth.”
And when he had
removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of
Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.
After removing Saul, He raised up David as their king and
testified about him: ‘I have found David son of
Jesse a man after My own heart; he will carry out My will in its
entirety.’

dissension, the chief captain, fearing lest Paul should have been pulled in pieces of them, commanded the soldiers to go down, and to take him by force from among them, and to bring him into the castle.

tear Paul to pieces. He ordered the soldiers to go down and
remove him by force and bring him into the
barracks.
And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of
Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away
ungodliness from Jacob:
And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: “The Deliverer will come from
Zion; He will
remove godlessness from Jacob.
And ye are
puffed up, and have not rather
mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you.
And you are proud! Shouldn’t you rather have been
stricken with grief and have
removed from your
fellowship the man who did this?
And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
If I have the gift of prophecy and can
fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have absolute faith so as to move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same
vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which
vail is done away in Christ.
But their minds were closed. For to this day the same
veil remains at the reading of the old covenant. It has not been lifted, because only in Christ can it be
removed.
I
marvel that ye are so soon
removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
I am
amazed how quickly you are deserting the One who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel—
Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and
repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will
remove thy
candlestick out of his place, except thou
repent.
Therefore, keep in mind how far you have fallen.
Repent and perform the deeds you did at first. But if you do not
repent, I will come to you and
remove your lampstand from its place.
And when the description of the kindred of these men was sought in the register, and was not found, they were
removed from
executing the office of the priesthood:
The next day Holofernes commanded all his army, and all his people which were come to take his part, that they should
remove their camp against Bethulia, to take
aforehand the ascents of the hill country, and to make war against the children of Israel.
Then their strong men
removed their camps in that day, and the army of the men of war was an hundred and seventy thousand
footmen, and twelve thousand
horsemen, beside the
baggage, and other men that were
afoot among them, a very great multitude.
And viewed the passages up to the city, and came to the fountains of their waters, and took them, and set garrisons of men of war over them, and he himself removed toward his people.
For the holy spirit of discipline will
flee deceit, and
remove from thoughts that are without understanding, and will not
abide when unrighteousness cometh in.
Love thine own soul, and comfort thy heart, remove sorrow far from thee: for sorrow hath killed many, and there is no profit therein.
So the camp
removed, and pitched upon the south side of
Emmaus.
Then took
Gorgias five thousand
footmen, and a thousand of the best
horsemen, and
removed out of the camp by night;
Now when
Judas heard thereof he himself
removed, and the
valiant men with him, that he might
smite the king’s army which was at
Emmaus,
From whence he removed by night, and went till he came to the fortress.
From thence he removed to go into the land of the Philistines, and passed through Samaria.
Upon this
Judas removed from the tower, and pitched in Bathzacharias, over against the king’s camp.
After this,
removed Bacchides from Jerusalem, and pitched his tents in Bezeth, where he sent and took many of the men that had
forsaken him, and certain of the people also, and when he had slain them, he cast them into the great pit.
From whence they
removed, and went to
Berea, with twenty thousand
footmen and two thousand
horsemen.
With that the host of Bacchides
removed out of their tents, and stood over against them, their
horsemen being divided into two troops, and their slingers and archers going before the host and they that marched in the
foreward were all mighty men.
Then
removed he, and came with a great host, and sent letters
privily to his adherents in
Judea, that they should take
Jonathan and those that were with him:
howbeit they could not, because their counsel was known unto them.
