And from the rib that the LORD God had taken from the man, He made a woman and brought her to him.
And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
And the man said: “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman,’ for out of man she was taken.”
In the
sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it
wast thou
taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.
By the
sweat of your
brow you will eat your bread, until you return to the ground— because out of it were you
taken. For dust you are, and to dust you shall return.”
And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
Then the LORD God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, knowing good and evil. And now, lest he reach out his hand and
take also from the tree of life, and eat, and live
forever...”
Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of
Eden, to till the ground from whence he was
taken.
Therefore the LORD God banished him from the Garden of
Eden to work the ground from which he had been
taken.
And the LORD said unto him, Therefore
whosoever slayeth
Cain,
vengeance shall be
taken on him
sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon
Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.

Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.
Enoch walked with God, and then he was no more, because God had
taken him away.
And take thou unto thee of all food that is eaten, and thou shalt gather it to thee; and it shall be for food for thee, and for them.
You are also to
take for
yourself every kind of food that is eaten and gather it as food for
yourselves and for the animals.”
Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female.
You are to
take with you seven pairs of every kind of clean animal, a male and its
mate; a pair of every kind of unclean animal, a male and its
mate;
And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man’s brother will I require the life of man.
And surely I will require the life of any man or beast by whose hand your
lifeblood is shed. I will demand an accounting from
anyone who
takes the life of his fellow man:
The princes also of Pharaoh saw her, and
commended her before Pharaoh: and the woman was
taken into Pharaoh’s house.
When Pharaoh’s officials saw Sarai, they
commended her to him, and she was
taken into the palace of Pharaoh.
Why saidst thou, She is my sister? so I might have taken her to me to wife: now therefore behold thy wife, take her, and go thy way.
Why did you say, ‘She is my sister,’ so that I took her as my wife? Now then, here is your wife. Take her and go!”
Is not the whole land before thee? separate
thyself, I pray thee, from me: if thou
wilt take the left hand, then I will go to the right; or if thou depart to the right hand, then I will go to the left.
Is not the whole land before you? Now separate
yourself from me. If you go to the left, I will go to the right; if you go to the right, I will go to the left.”
And when
Abram heard that his brother was
taken captive, he armed his trained servants, born in his own house, three hundred and eighteen, and pursued them unto
Dan.
And when
Abram heard that his relative had been captured, he
mobilized the 318 trained men born in his household, and they set out in pursuit as far as
Dan.
And the king of
Sodom said unto
Abram, Give me the persons, and
take the goods to
thyself.
That I will not
take from a thread even to a shoelatchet, and that I will not
take any thing that is thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have made
Abram rich:
that I will not accept even a thread, or a
strap of a
sandal, or anything that belongs to you, lest you should say, ‘I have made
Abram rich.’
Save only that which the young men have eaten, and the portion of the men which went with me, Aner,
Eshcol, and
Mamre; let them
take their portion.
I will accept nothing but what my men have eaten and the share for the men who went with me—Aner,
Eshcol, and
Mamre. They may
take their portion.”
And he said unto him,
Take me an
heifer of three years old, and a she goat of three years old, and a ram of three years old, and a
turtledove, and a young
pigeon.
And the LORD said to him, “Bring Me a
heifer, a goat, and a ram, each three years old, along with a
turtledove and a young
pigeon.”
And Abraham answered and said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord, which am but dust and ashes:
Then Abraham answered, “Now that I have
ventured to speak to the Lord—though I am but dust and ashes—
And he said, Behold now, I have
taken upon me to speak unto the Lord:
Peradventure there shall be twenty found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for twenty’s sake.
And Abraham said, “Now that I have
ventured to speak to the Lord, suppose twenty are found there?” He answered, “On account of the twenty, I will not destroy it.”
And when the morning arose, then the angels
hastened Lot, saying, Arise,
take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city.
At
daybreak the angels
hurried Lot along, saying, “Get up!
Take your wife and your two daughters who are here, or you will be swept away in the punishment of the city.”
Behold now, thy servant hath found grace in thy sight, and thou hast
magnified thy mercy, which thou hast shewed unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil
take me, and I die:
Your servant has indeed found favor in your sight, and you have shown me great kindness by
sparing my life. But I cannot run to the mountains; the
disaster will overtake me, and I will die.
But God came to
Abimelech in a dream by night, and said to him, Behold, thou art but a dead man, for the woman which thou hast
taken; for she is a man’s wife.
One night, however, God came to
Abimelech in a dream and told him, “You are as good as dead because of the woman you have
taken, for she is a married woman.”
Arise, lift up the
lad, and hold him in thine hand; for I will make him a great nation.
Get up, lift up the boy, and take him by the hand, for I will make him into a great nation.”
And Abraham reproved
Abimelech because of a well of water, which
Abimelech’s servants had violently
taken away.
And he said, For these seven
ewe lambs shalt thou
take of my hand, that they may be a witness unto me, that I have
digged this well.
He replied, “You are to accept the seven
ewe lambs from my hand as my witness that I
dug this well.”
And he said,
Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of
Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.
“
Take your son,” God said, “your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of
Moriah. Offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains, which I will show you.”
And he spake unto Ephron in the
audience of the people of the land, saying, But if thou
wilt give it, I pray thee, hear me: I will give thee money for the field;
take it of me, and I will
bury my dead there.
and said to Ephron in their presence, “If you will please
listen to me, I will pay you the price of the field. Accept it from me, so that I may
bury my dead there.”
And I will make thee
swear by the LORD, the God of heaven, and the God of the earth, that thou shalt not
take a wife unto my son of the daughters of the
Canaanites, among whom I dwell:
and I will have you
swear by the LORD, the God of heaven and the God of earth, that you will not
take a wife for my son from the daughters of the
Canaanites among whom I am dwelling,
But thou shalt go unto my country, and to my kindred, and take a wife unto my son Isaac.
but will go to my country and my kindred to take a wife for my son Isaac.”
And the servant said unto him,
Peradventure the woman will not be willing to follow me unto this land: must I needs bring thy son again unto the land from whence thou camest?
The servant asked him, “What if the woman is unwilling to follow me to this land? Shall I then take your son back to the land from which you came?”
And Abraham said unto him,
Beware thou that thou bring not my son thither again.
Abraham replied, “Make sure that you do not take my son back there.
The LORD God of heaven, which took me from my father’s house, and from the land of my kindred, and which spake unto me, and that
sware unto me, saying, Unto thy seed will I give this land; he shall send his angel before thee, and thou shalt
take a wife unto my son from thence.
The LORD, the God of heaven, who brought me from my father’s house and my native land, who spoke to me and promised me on oath, saying, ‘To your offspring I will give this land’—He will send His angel before you so that you can take a wife for my son from there.
And if the woman will not be willing to follow thee, then thou shalt be clear from this my oath: only bring not my son thither again.
And if the woman is unwilling to follow you, then you are released from this oath of mine. Only do not take my son back there.”
And my master made me
swear, saying, Thou shalt not
take a wife to my son of the daughters of the
Canaanites, in whose land I dwell:
My master made me
swear an oath and said, ‘You shall not
take a wife for my son from the daughters of the
Canaanites in whose land I dwell,
But thou shalt go unto my father’s house, and to my kindred, and take a wife unto my son.
but you shall go to my father’s house and to my kindred to take a wife for my son.’
And he said unto me, The LORD, before whom I walk, will send his angel with thee, and
prosper thy way; and thou shalt
take a wife for my son of my kindred, and of my father’s house:
And he told me, ‘The LORD, before whom I have walked, will send His angel with you and make your journey a success, so that you may take a wife for my son from my kindred and from my father’s house.
And I bowed down my head, and worshipped the LORD, and blessed the LORD God of my master Abraham, which had led me in the right way to take my master’s brother’s daughter unto his son.
Then I bowed down and worshiped the LORD; and I blessed the LORD, the God of my master Abraham, who led me on the right road to
take the
granddaughter of my master’s brother for his son.
Behold,
Rebekah is before thee,
take her, and go, and let her be thy master’s son’s wife, as the LORD hath spoken.
Rebekah is here before you.
Take her and go, and let her become the wife of your master’s son, just as the LORD has decreed.”
Then again Abraham took a wife, and her name was
Keturah.
Now Abraham had
taken another wife, named
Keturah,
Now therefore
take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy
quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and
take me some
venison;
Take your weapons—your
quiver and bow—and go out into the field to
hunt some game for me.
And thou shalt bring it to thy father, that he may eat, and that he may
bless thee before his death.
Then
take it to your father to eat, so that he may
bless you before he dies.”
And Isaac
trembled very exceedingly, and said, Who? where is he that hath
taken venison, and brought it me, and I have eaten of all before thou camest, and have blessed him?
yea, and he shall be blessed.
Isaac began to
tremble violently and said, “Who was it, then, who
hunted the game and brought it to me? Before you came in, I
ate it all and blessed him—and indeed, he will be blessed!”
And he said, Thy brother came with
subtilty, and hath
taken away thy blessing.
But Isaac replied, “Your brother came
deceitfully and took your blessing.”
And he said, Is not he rightly named Jacob? for he hath
supplanted me these two times: he took away my
birthright; and, behold, now he hath
taken away my blessing. And he said, Hast thou not reserved a blessing for me?
So
Esau declared, “Is he not rightly named Jacob? For he has
cheated me twice. He took my
birthright, and now he has
taken my blessing.” Then he asked, “
Haven’t you saved a blessing for me?”
And
Rebekah said to Isaac, I am
weary of my life because of the daughters of
Heth: if Jacob
take a wife of the daughters of
Heth, such as these which are of the daughters of the land, what good shall my life do me?
Then
Rebekah said to Isaac, “I am
weary of my life because of these Hittite women. If Jacob
takes a Hittite wife from among them, what good is my life?”
And Isaac called Jacob, and blessed him, and charged him, and said unto him, Thou shalt not
take a wife of the daughters of
Canaan.
So Isaac called for Jacob and blessed him. “Do not
take a wife from the
Canaanite women,” he commanded.
Arise, go to Padan-
aram, to the house of
Bethuel thy mother’s father; and
take thee a wife from thence of the daughters of
Laban thy mother’s brother.
“Go at once to Paddan-
aram, to the house of your mother’s father
Bethuel, and
take a wife from among the daughters of
Laban, your mother’s brother.
When
Esau saw that Isaac had blessed Jacob, and sent him away to Padan-
aram, to
take him a wife from thence; and that as he blessed him he gave him a charge, saying, Thou shalt not
take a wife of the daughters of
Canaan;
Now
Esau learned that Isaac had blessed Jacob and sent him to Paddan-
aram to
take a wife there, commanding him, “Do not marry a
Canaanite woman,”
And he said, Lo, it is yet high day, neither is it time that the cattle should be gathered together: water ye the sheep, and go and feed them.
“Look,” said Jacob, “it is still broad
daylight; it is not yet time to gather the
livestock. Water the sheep and
take them back to pasture.”
And she said unto her, Is it a small matter that thou hast
taken my husband? and wouldest thou
take away my son’s mandrakes also? And
Rachel said, Therefore he shall lie with thee to night for thy son’s mandrakes.
But Leah replied, “Is it not enough that you have
taken away my husband? Now you want to
take my son’s mandrakes as well?” “Very well,” said
Rachel, “he may sleep with you
tonight in exchange for your son’s mandrakes.”
And she conceived, and bare a son; and said, God hath taken away my reproach:
and she conceived and gave birth to a son. “God has taken away my shame,” she said.
And he heard the words of
Laban’s sons, saying, Jacob hath
taken away all that was our father’s; and of that which was our father’s hath he
gotten all this glory.
Now Jacob heard that
Laban’s sons were saying, “Jacob has
taken away all that belonged to our father and built all this wealth at our father’s expense.”
Thus God hath taken away the cattle of your father, and given them to me.
Thus God has
taken away your father’s
livestock and given them to me.
For all the riches which God hath
taken from our father, that is ours, and our children’s: now then,
whatsoever God hath said unto thee, do.
Surely all the wealth that God has taken away from our father belongs to us and to our children. So do whatever God has told you.”
And God came to
Laban the
Syrian in a dream by night, and said unto him,
Take heed that thou speak not to Jacob either good or bad.
But that night God came to
Laban the
Aramean in a dream and
warned him, “Be careful not to say anything to Jacob, either good or bad.”
And
Laban said to Jacob, What hast thou done, that thou hast
stolen away unawares to me, and carried away my daughters, as
captives taken with the sword?
Then
Laban said to Jacob, “What have you done? You have
deceived me and carried off my daughters like
captives of war!
It is in the power of my hand to do you
hurt: but the God of your father spake unto me
yesternight, saying,
Take thou
heed that thou speak not to Jacob either good or bad.
I have power to do you great
harm, but last night the God of your father said to me, ‘Be careful not to say anything to Jacob, either good or bad.’
And Jacob answered and said to
Laban, Because I was afraid: for I said,
Peradventure thou wouldest
take by force thy daughters from me.
“I was afraid,” Jacob answered, “for I thought you would take your daughters from me by force.
With
whomsoever thou findest thy gods, let him not live: before our brethren
discern thou what is thine with me, and
take it to thee. For Jacob knew not that
Rachel had
stolen them.
If you find your gods with
anyone here, he shall not live! In the presence of our relatives, see for
yourself if anything is yours, and
take it back.” For Jacob did not know that
Rachel had
stolen the idols.
Now
Rachel had
taken the images, and put them in the
camel’s furniture, and sat upon them. And
Laban searched all the tent, but found them not.
Now
Rachel had
taken Laban’s household idols, put them in the saddlebag of her
camel, and was sitting on them. And
Laban searched everything in the tent but found nothing.
If thou shalt
afflict my daughters, or if thou shalt
take other wives beside my daughters, no man is with us; see, God is witness
betwixt me and thee.
If you mistreat my daughters or take other wives, although no one is with us, remember that God is a witness between you and me.”
Take, I pray thee, my blessing that is brought to thee; because God hath dealt
graciously with me, and because I have enough. And he urged him, and he took it.
Please accept my gift that was brought to you, because God has been
gracious to me and I have all I need.” So Jacob pressed him until he accepted.
And he said, Let us take our journey, and let us go, and I will go before thee.
Then
Esau said, “Let us be on our way, and I will go
ahead of you.”
And make ye marriages with us, and give your daughters unto us, and take our daughters unto you.
Then will we give our daughters unto you, and we will take your daughters to us, and we will dwell with you, and we will become one people.
Then we will give you our daughters and take your daughters for ourselves. We will dwell among you and become one people.
But if ye will not
hearken unto us, to be
circumcised; then will we
take our daughter, and we will be gone.
But if you will not agree to be
circumcised, then we will
take our sister and go.”
These men are peaceable with us; therefore let them dwell in the land, and trade therein; for the land, behold, it is large enough for them; let us take their daughters to us for wives, and let us give them our daughters.
“These men are at peace with us. Let them live and trade in our land; indeed, it is large enough for them. Let us take their daughters in marriage and give our daughters to them.
And
Reuben heard it, and he delivered him out of their hands; and said, Let us not kill him.
When
Reuben heard this, he tried to
rescue Joseph from their hands. “Let us not
take his life,” he said.
And Judah said, Let her
take it to her, lest we be shamed: behold, I sent this
kid, and thou hast not found her.
“Let her keep the items,” Judah replied. “Otherwise we will become a
laughingstock. After all, I did send her this young goat, but you could not find her.”
And Joseph was brought down to Egypt; and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him of the hands of the Ishmeelites, which had brought him down thither.
Meanwhile, Joseph had been
taken down to Egypt, where an Egyptian named Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh and captain of the guard, bought him from the
Ishmaelites who had
taken him there.
Let Pharaoh do this, and let him
appoint officers over the land, and
take up the fifth part of the land of Egypt in the seven
plenteous years.
Let Pharaoh
take action and
appoint commissioners over the land to
take a fifth of the harvest of Egypt during the seven years of abundance.
If ye be true men, let one of your brethren be bound in the house of your prison: go ye, carry corn for the famine of your houses:
If you are
honest, leave one of your brothers in
custody while the rest of you go and
take back grain to
relieve the hunger of your households.
And the man, the lord of the country, said unto us,
Hereby shall I know that ye are true men; leave one of your brethren here with me, and
take food for the famine of your households, and be gone:
Then the man who is lord of the land said to us, ‘This is how I will know whether you are
honest: Leave one brother with me,
take food to
relieve the hunger of your households, and go.
And Jacob their father said unto them, Me have ye
bereaved of my children: Joseph is not, and
Simeon is not, and ye will
take Benjamin away: all these things are against me.
Their father Jacob said to them, “You have deprived me of my sons. Joseph is gone and
Simeon is no more. Now you want to
take Benjamin. Everything is going against me!”
And their father Israel said unto them, If it must be so now, do this;
take of the best fruits in the land in your vessels, and carry down the man a present, a little
balm, and a little honey, spices, and
myrrh, nuts, and almonds:
Then their father Israel said to them, “If it must be so, then do this: Put some of the best products of the land in your packs and carry them down as a gift for the man—a little
balm and a little honey, spices and
myrrh, pistachios and almonds.
And
take double money in your hand; and the money that was brought again in the mouth of your sacks, carry it again in your hand;
peradventure it was an oversight:
Take double the silver with you so that you may return the silver that was put back into the mouths of your sacks. Perhaps it was a mistake.
Take also your brother, and arise, go again unto the man:
Take your brother as well, and return to the man at once.
And when Joseph saw Benjamin with them, he said to the ruler of his house, Bring these men home, and
slay, and make ready; for these men shall
dine with me at
noon.
When Joseph saw Benjamin with his brothers, he said to the
steward of his house, “
Take these men to my house. Slaughter an animal and prepare it, for they shall
dine with me at
noon.”
And the men were afraid, because they were brought into Joseph’s house; and they said, Because of the money that was returned in our sacks at the first time are we brought in; that he may seek occasion against us, and fall upon us, and
take us for
bondmen, and our
asses.
But the brothers were
frightened that they had been
taken to Joseph’s house. “We have been brought here because of the silver that was returned in our bags the first time,” they said. “They intend to overpower us and
take us as slaves, along with our
donkeys.”
And if ye
take this also from me, and mischief
befall him, ye shall bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to the grave.
Now if you also
take this one from me and
harm comes to him, you will bring my gray hair down to
Sheol in sorrow.’
And take your father and your households, and come unto me: and I will give you the good of the land of Egypt, and ye shall eat the fat of the land.
Then bring your father and your families and return to me. I will give you the best of the land of Egypt, and you shall eat from the fat of the land.’
Now thou art commanded, this do ye; take you wagons out of the land of Egypt for your little ones, and for your wives, and bring your father, and come.
You are also directed to tell them: ‘Take wagons from the land of Egypt for your young children and your wives, and bring your father and come back.
And Joseph took an oath of the children of Israel, saying, God will surely visit you, and ye shall carry up my bones from hence.
And Joseph made the sons of Israel take an oath and said, “God will surely attend to you, and then you must carry my bones up from this place.”
And Pharaoh’s daughter said unto her,
Take this child away, and
nurse it for me, and I will give thee thy wages. And the woman took the child, and
nursed it.
Pharaoh’s daughter said to her, “
Take this child and
nurse him for me, and I will pay your wages.” So the woman took the boy and
nursed him.
And he said, Draw not
nigh hither: put off thy
shoes from off thy feet, for the place
whereon thou standest is holy ground.
“Do not come any closer,” God said. “
Take off your
sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.”
And they shall
hearken to thy voice: and thou shalt come, thou and the elders of Israel, unto the king of Egypt, and ye shall say unto him, The LORD God of the Hebrews hath met with us: and now let us go, we
beseech thee, three days’ journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God.
The elders of Israel will
listen to what you say, and you must go with them to the king of Egypt and tell him, ‘The LORD, the God of the Hebrews, has met with us. Now please let us
take a three-day journey into the wilderness, so that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God.’
And the LORD said unto Moses, Put forth thine hand, and take it by the tail. And he put forth his hand, and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand:
“Stretch out your hand and
grab it by the tail,” the LORD said to Moses, who reached out his hand and caught the
snake, and it turned back into a staff in his hand.
And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe also these two signs, neither
hearken unto thy voice, that thou shalt
take of the water of the river, and pour it upon the dry land: and the water which thou
takest out of the river shall become blood upon the dry land.
But if they do not believe even these two signs or
listen to your voice,
take some water from the Nile and pour it on the dry ground. Then the water you
take from the Nile will become blood on the ground.”
And thou shalt
take this rod in thine hand,
wherewith thou shalt do signs.
But take this staff in your hand so you can perform signs with it.”
And I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God: and ye shall know that I am the LORD your God, which bringeth you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.
I will take you as My own people, and I will be your God. Then you will know that I am the LORD your God, who brought you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians.
When Pharaoh shall speak unto you, saying,
Shew a
miracle for you: then thou shalt say unto Aaron,
Take thy rod, and cast it before Pharaoh, and it shall become a serpent.
“When Pharaoh tells you, ‘Perform a
miracle,’ you are to say to Aaron, ‘
Take your staff and throw it down before Pharaoh,’ and it will become a serpent.”
Get thee unto Pharaoh in the morning; lo, he goeth out unto the water; and thou shalt stand by the river’s
brink against he come; and the rod which was turned to a serpent shalt thou
take in thine hand.
Go to Pharaoh in the morning as you see him walking out to the water. Wait on the bank of the Nile to meet him, and
take in your hand the staff that was changed into a
snake.
And the LORD spake unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and stretch out thine hand upon the waters of Egypt, upon their streams, upon their rivers, and upon their ponds, and upon all their pools of water, that they may become blood; and that there may be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood, and in vessels of stone.
And the LORD said to Moses, “Tell Aaron, ‘Take your staff and stretch out your hand over the waters of Egypt—over their rivers and canals and ponds and reservoirs—that they may become blood.’ There will be blood throughout the land of Egypt, even in the vessels of wood and stone.”
And Pharaoh turned and went into his house, neither did he set his heart to this also.
Instead, Pharaoh turned around, went into his palace, and did not take any of this to heart.
Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron, and said, Intreat the LORD, that he may take away the frogs from me, and from my people; and I will let the people go, that they may do sacrifice unto the LORD.
Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said, “Pray to the LORD to take the frogs away from me and my people. Then I will let your people go, that they may sacrifice to the LORD.”
And Moses said unto Pharaoh, Glory over me: when shall I intreat for thee, and for thy servants, and for thy people, to destroy the frogs from thee and thy houses, that they may remain in the river only?
Moses said to Pharaoh, “You may have the honor over me. When shall I pray for you and your officials and your people that the frogs (except for those in the Nile) may be taken away from you and your houses?”
And I will put a division between my people and thy people: to
morrow shall this sign be.
I will make a distinction between My people and your people. This sign will
take place
tomorrow.’”
And the LORD said unto Moses and unto Aaron,
Take to you handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses
sprinkle it toward the heaven in the sight of Pharaoh.
Then the LORD said to Moses and Aaron, “
Take handfuls of
soot from the furnace; in the sight of Pharaoh, Moses is to
toss it into the air.
Now therefore
forgive, I pray thee, my sin only this once, and intreat the LORD your God, that he may
take away from me this death only.
Now please
forgive my sin once more and appeal to the LORD your God, that He may remove this death from me.”
