teemed according to their kinds, and every bird of flight after its kind. And God saw that it was good.

window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a
cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it.

cubit from the top, place a door in the side of the ark, and build lower, middle, and upper decks.

They, and every beast after his kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every
creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind, and every fowl after his kind, every bird of every sort.
they and every kind of wild animal,
livestock,
crawling creature, bird, and
winged creature.
And God remembered
Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a
wind to pass over the earth, and the waters asswaged;
But God remembered
Noah and all the animals and
livestock that were with him in the ark. And God sent a
wind over the earth, and the waters began to
subside.
The fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained;
The springs of the deep and the floodgates of the heavens were closed, and the rain from the sky was restrained.

wine that night: and the
firstborn went in, and lay with her father; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose.
So that night they got their father
drunk with
wine, and the
firstborn went in and
slept with her father; he was not aware when she lay down or when she got up.
And it came to pass on the
morrow, that the
firstborn said unto the younger, Behold, I lay
yesternight with my father: let us make him drink
wine this night also; and go thou in, and lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father.
The next day the older daughter said to the younger, “Look, I
slept with my father last night. Let us get him

wine again
tonight so you can go in and sleep with him and we can preserve our father’s line.”
And they made their father drink wine that night also: and the younger arose, and lay with him; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose.

bless you.” Jacob brought it to him, and he
ate; then he brought him
wine, and he

wine have I sustained him: and what shall I do now unto thee, my son?

wine. What is left that I can do for you, my son?”
And, behold, seven thin ears and blasted with the east wind sprung up after them.
After them, seven other heads of grain
sprouted, thin and
scorched by the east
wind.
And, behold, seven ears,
withered, thin, and blasted with the east
wind, sprung up after them:
And the seven thin and ill favoured
kine that came up after them are seven years; and the seven empty ears blasted with the east
wind shall be seven years of famine.
Moreover, the seven thin,
ugly cows that came up after them are seven years, and so are the seven worthless heads of grain
scorched by the east
wind—they are seven years of famine.

foal unto the vine, and his
ass’s

wine, his robes in the blood of grapes.

His eyes are darker than wine, and his teeth are whiter than milk.
And Moses stretched forth his rod over the land of Egypt, and the LORD brought an east wind upon the land all that day, and all that night; and when it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts.
So Moses stretched out his staff over the land of Egypt, and throughout that day and night the LORD sent an east wind across the land. By morning the east wind had brought the locusts.
And the LORD turned a mighty strong west
wind, which took away the locusts, and cast them into the Red sea; there remained not one
locust in all the coasts of Egypt.
And the LORD changed the
wind to a very strong west
wind that carried off the locusts and
blew them into the Red Sea. Not a single
locust remained
anywhere in Egypt.

didst blow with thy
wind, the sea covered them: they
sank as lead in the mighty waters.
But You
blew with Your breath, and the sea covered them. They
sank like lead in the mighty waters.

wings and brought you to Myself.
And the
cherubim shall stretch forth their
wings on high, covering the mercy seat with their
wings, and their faces shall look one to another; toward the mercy seat shall the faces of the cherubims be.
And the
cherubim are to have
wings that spread upward, overshadowing the mercy seat. The
cherubim are to face each other, looking toward the mercy seat.

ephah of fine flour, mixed with a quarter
hin of oil from pressed olives, and a drink offering of a quarter
hin of
wine.
And the cherubims spread out their wings on high, and covered with their wings over the mercy seat, with their faces one to another; even to the mercy seatward were the faces of the cherubims.
And the
cherubim had
wings that spread upward, overshadowing the mercy seat. The
cherubim faced each other, looking toward the mercy seat.
And he shall
cleave it with the
wings thereof, but shall not divide it
asunder: and the priest shall burn it upon the altar, upon the wood that is upon the fire: it is a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.
He shall
tear it open by its
wings, without dividing the bird completely. And the priest is to burn it on the altar
atop the burning wood. It is a burnt offering, an offering made by fire, a pleasing
aroma to the LORD.
Do not drink wine nor strong drink, thou, nor thy sons with thee, when ye go into the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations:

And upon them that are left alive of you I will send a
faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies; and the sound of a
shaken leaf shall
chase them; and they shall
flee, as
fleeing from a sword; and they shall fall when none pursueth.
As for those of you who
survive, I will send a
faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies, so that even the sound of a
windblown leaf will put them to flight. And they will
flee as one flees the sword, and fall when no one pursues them.

wine and strong drink, and shall drink no
vinegar of
wine, or
vinegar of strong drink, neither shall he drink any liquor of grapes, nor eat moist grapes, or dried.

wine and strong drink. He must not drink
vinegar made from
wine or strong drink, and he must not drink any

raisins.
And the priest shall wave them for a wave offering before the LORD: this is holy for the priest, with the wave breast and
heave shoulder: and after that the
Nazarite may drink
wine.
The priest shall then wave them as a wave offering before the LORD. This is a holy portion for the priest, in addition to the breast of the wave offering and the
thigh that was presented. After that, the
Nazirite may drink
wine.
And there went forth a wind from the LORD, and brought quails from the sea, and let them fall by the camp, as it were a day’s journey on this side, and as it were a day’s journey on the other side, round about the camp, and as it were two cubits high upon the face of the earth.
Now a
wind sent by the LORD came up, drove in
quail from the sea, and brought them near the camp, about two cubits above the surface of the ground, for a day’s journey in every direction around the camp.
And the fourth part of an
hin of
wine for a drink offering shalt thou prepare with the burnt offering or sacrifice, for one lamb.

hin of
wine as a drink offering.
And for a drink offering thou shalt offer the third part of an
hin of
wine, for a sweet savour unto the LORD.
and a third of a
hin of
wine as a drink offering, a pleasing
aroma to the LORD.
And thou shalt bring for a drink offering half an
hin of
wine, for an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.
Also present half a
hin of
wine as a drink offering. It is an offering made by fire, a pleasing
aroma to the LORD.
All the best of the oil, and all the best of the wine, and of the wheat, the firstfruits of them which they shall offer unto the LORD, them have I given thee.
I give you all the freshest olive oil and all the finest new wine and grain that the Israelites give to the LORD as their firstfruits.
And this your
heave offering shall be reckoned unto you, as though it were the corn of the threshingfloor, and as the
fulness of the
winepress.
Your offering will be reckoned to you as grain from the
threshing floor or juice from the
winepress.
Therefore thou shalt say unto them, When ye have
heaved the best thereof from it, then it shall be counted unto the Levites as the increase of the threshingfloor, and as the increase of the
winepress.
Therefore say to the Levites, ‘When you have presented the best part, it will be reckoned to you as the produce of the
threshing floor or
winepress.
And the drink offering thereof shall be the fourth part of an
hin for the one lamb: in the holy place shalt thou cause the strong
wine to be poured unto the LORD for a drink offering.
The drink offering accompanying each lamb shall be a quarter
hin. Pour out the offering of
fermented drink to the LORD in the sanctuary area.
And their drink offerings shall be half an
hin of
wine unto a
bullock, and the third part of an
hin unto a ram, and a fourth part of an
hin unto a lamb: this is the burnt offering of every month throughout the months of the year.
Their drink offerings shall be half a
hin of
wine with each bull, a third of a
hin with the ram, and a quarter
hin with each lamb. This is the monthly burnt offering to be made at each new moon throughout the year.
The likeness of any beast that is on the earth, the likeness of any winged fowl that flieth in the air,
of any beast that is on the earth or bird that
flies in the air,
And he will love thee, and
bless thee, and multiply thee: he will also
bless the fruit of thy
womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy corn, and thy
wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy
kine, and the flocks of thy sheep, in the land which he
sware unto thy fathers to give thee.
He will love you and
bless you and multiply you. He will
bless the fruit of your
womb and the produce of your land—your grain, new
wine, and oil, the young of your herds and the lambs of your flocks—in the land that He
swore to your fathers to give you.
That I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil.
then I will provide rain for your land in season, the autumn and spring rains, that you may gather your grain, new wine, and oil.
Thou mayest not eat within thy gates the
tithe of thy corn, or of thy
wine, or of thy oil, or the firstlings of thy herds or of thy flock, nor any of thy vows which thou vowest, nor thy
freewill offerings, or
heave offering of thine hand:
Within your gates you must not eat the
tithe of your grain or new
wine or oil, the
firstborn of your herds or flocks, any of the offerings that you have
vowed to give, or your
freewill offerings or special gifts.
And thou shalt eat before the LORD thy God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the
tithe of thy corn, of thy
wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear the LORD thy God always.
And you are to eat a tenth of your grain, new
wine, and oil, and the
firstborn of your herds and flocks, in the presence of the LORD your God at the place He will choose as a dwelling for His Name, so that you may learn to fear the LORD your God always.
And thou shalt
bestow that money for
whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, for oxen, or for sheep, or for
wine, or for strong drink, or for
whatsoever thy soul desireth: and thou shalt eat there before the LORD thy God, and thou shalt
rejoice, thou, and thine household,
Then you may
spend the money on anything you desire: cattle, sheep,
wine, strong drink, or anything you wish. You are to feast there in the presence of the LORD your God and
rejoice with your household.
Thou shalt furnish him liberally out of thy flock, and out of thy floor, and out of thy
winepress: of that
wherewith the LORD thy God hath blessed thee thou shalt give unto him.
You are to furnish him liberally from your flock, your
threshing floor, and your
winepress. You shall give to him as the LORD your God has blessed you.
Thou shalt observe the feast of tabernacles seven days, after that thou hast gathered in thy corn and thy wine:
You are to
celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles for seven days after you have gathered the produce of your
threshing floor and your
winepress.
The firstfruit also of thy corn, of thy
wine, and of thine oil, and the first of the
fleece of thy sheep, shalt thou give him.
You are to give them the firstfruits of your grain, new
wine, and oil, and the first wool
sheared from your flock.
Thou shalt plant vineyards, and dress them, but shalt neither drink of the wine, nor gather the grapes; for the worms shall eat them.
You will plant and
cultivate vineyards, but will neither drink the
wine nor gather the grapes, because worms will eat them.
And he shall eat the fruit of thy cattle, and the fruit of thy land, until thou be destroyed: which also shall not leave thee either corn,
wine, or oil, or the increase of thy
kine, or flocks of thy sheep, until he have destroyed thee.
They will eat the offspring of your
livestock and the produce of your land until you are destroyed. They will leave you no grain or new
wine or oil, no
calves of your herds or lambs of your flocks, until they have caused you to perish.
Ye have not eaten bread, neither have ye
drunk wine or strong drink: that ye might know that I am the LORD your God.
You
ate no bread and
drank no
wine or strong drink, so that you might know that I am the LORD your God.
As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings:
As an eagle stirs up its nest and hovers over its young, He spread His wings to catch them and carried them on His pinions.
Butter of
kine, and milk of sheep, with fat of lambs, and rams of the breed of
Bashan, and goats, with the fat of
kidneys of wheat; and thou
didst drink the pure blood of the
grape.
with curds from the
herd and milk from the flock, with the fat of lambs, with rams from
Bashan, and goats, with the choicest grains of wheat. From the juice of the finest grapes you
drank the
wine.
Their
wine is the poison of
dragons, and the cruel
venom of asps.
Their
wine is the
venom of serpents, the deadly poison of cobras.
Which did eat the fat of their sacrifices, and
drank the
wine of their drink offerings? let them rise up and help you, and be your protection.
which
ate the fat of their sacrifices and
drank the
wine of their drink offerings? Let them rise up and help you; let them give you shelter!
Israel then shall dwell in safety alone: the fountain of Jacob shall be upon a land of corn and
wine; also his heavens shall drop down
dew.
So Israel dwells securely; the fountain of Jacob lives untroubled in a land of grain and new
wine, where even the heavens
drip with
dew.
Then she let them down by a cord through the window: for her house was upon the town wall, and she dwelt upon the wall.
Then
Rahab let them down by a rope through the
window, since the house where she lived was built into the wall of the city.
Behold, when we come into the land, thou shalt bind this line of scarlet thread in the
window which thou
didst let us down by: and thou shalt bring thy father, and thy mother, and thy brethren, and all thy father’s household, home unto thee.
unless, when we enter the land, you have
tied this scarlet cord in the
window through which you let us down, and unless you have brought your father and mother and brothers and all your family into your house.
And she said, According unto your words, so be it. And she sent them away, and they departed: and she bound the scarlet line in the window.
“Let it be as you say,” she replied, and she sent them away. And when they had gone, she
tied the scarlet cord in the
window.
They did work
wilily, and went and made as if they had been ambassadors, and took old sacks upon their
asses, and
wine bottles, old, and rent, and bound up;
And these bottles of
wine, which we filled, were new; and, behold, they be rent: and these our garments and our
shoes are become old by reason of the very long journey.
These
wineskins were new when we filled them, but look, they are
cracked. And these clothes and
sandals are worn out from our very long journey.”
And there came an angel of the LORD, and sat under an oak which was in Ophrah, that
pertained unto
Joash the Abi-ezrite: and his son
Gideon threshed wheat by the
winepress, to hide it from the Midianites.
Then the angel of the LORD came and sat down under the oak in Ophrah that belonged to
Joash the Abiezrite, where his son
Gideon was
threshing wheat in a
winepress to hide it from the Midianites.
And they took two princes of the Midianites, Oreb and Zeeb; and they
slew Oreb upon the rock Oreb, and Zeeb they
slew at the
winepress of Zeeb, and pursued
Midian, and brought the heads of Oreb and Zeeb to
Gideon on the other side Jordan.
They also captured Oreb and Zeeb, the two princes of
Midian; and they killed Oreb at the rock of Oreb and Zeeb at the
winepress of Zeeb. So they pursued the Midianites and brought the heads of Oreb and Zeeb to
Gideon on the other side of the Jordan.
And the vine said unto them, Should I leave my wine, which cheereth God and man, and go to be promoted over the trees?
But the
grapevine replied, ‘Should I stop giving my
wine that cheers both God and man, to hold
sway over the trees?’
Now therefore
beware, I pray thee, and drink not
wine nor strong drink, and eat not any unclean thing:
Now please be careful not to drink wine or strong drink, and not to eat anything unclean.
But he said unto me, Behold, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and now drink no
wine nor strong drink, neither eat any unclean thing: for the child shall be a
Nazarite to God from the
womb to the day of his death.
But he said to me, ‘Behold, you will conceive and give birth to a son. Now, therefore, do not drink
wine or strong drink, and do not eat anything unclean, because the boy will be a
Nazirite to God from the
womb until the day of his death.’”
She may not eat of any thing that cometh of the vine, neither let her drink wine or strong drink, nor eat any unclean thing: all that I commanded her let her observe.
She must not eat anything that comes from the vine, nor drink any wine or strong drink, nor eat anything unclean. She must do everything I have commanded her.”
Yet there is both straw and
provender for our
asses; and there is bread and
wine also for me, and for thy
handmaid, and for the young man which is with thy servants: there is no want of any thing.
even though there is both straw and feed for our
donkeys, and bread and
wine for me and the
maidservant and young man with me. There is nothing that we, your servants, lack.”
The LORD
recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the LORD God of Israel, under whose
wings thou art come to trust.
May the LORD repay your work, and may you receive a rich reward from the LORD, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have taken refuge.”
And now is not Boaz of our kindred, with whose maidens thou
wast? Behold, he
winnoweth barley to night in the threshingfloor.
Now is not Boaz, with whose servant girls you have been working, a relative of ours? In fact,
tonight he is
winnowing barley on the
threshing floor.

Eli said unto her, How long
wilt thou be
drunken? put away thy
wine from thee.
and said to her, “How long will you be
drunk? Put away your
wine!”
And
Hannah answered and said, No, my lord, I am a woman of a sorrowful spirit: I have
drunken neither
wine nor strong drink, but have poured out my soul before the LORD.

oppressed in spirit. I have not had any
wine or strong drink, but I have poured out my soul before the LORD.
And when she had
weaned him, she took him up with her, with three bullocks, and one
ephah of flour, and a
bottle of
wine, and brought him unto the house of the LORD in
Shiloh: and the child was young.
Once she had
weaned him,
Hannah took the boy with her, along with a three-year-old bull, an
ephah of flour, and a skin of
wine. Though the boy was still young, she brought him to the house of the LORD at
Shiloh.
Then shalt thou go on forward from thence, and thou shalt come to the plain of
Tabor, and there shall meet thee three men going up to God to
Bethel, one carrying three kids, and another carrying three
loaves of bread, and another carrying a
bottle of
wine:
Then you will go on from there until you come to the Oak of
Tabor. Three men going up to God at
Bethel will meet you there, one carrying three young goats, another carrying three
loaves of bread, and another carrying a skin of
wine.

But it came to pass in the morning, when the wine was gone out of Nabal, and his wife had told him these things, that his heart died within him, and he became as a stone.

And as the ark of the LORD came into the city of David, Michal Saul’s daughter looked through a
window, and saw king David
leaping and dancing before the LORD; and she
despised him in her heart.

window and saw King David
leaping and dancing before the LORD, and she
despised him in her heart.
And he dealt among all the people, even among the whole multitude of Israel, as well to the women as men, to every one a
cake of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a
flagon of
wine. So all the people departed every one to his house.
Then he distributed to every man and woman among the multitude of Israel a
loaf of bread, a date
cake, and a
raisin cake. And all the people departed, each for his own home.
Now
Absalom had commanded his servants, saying, Mark ye now when Amnon’s heart is
merry with
wine, and when I say unto you,
Smite Amnon; then kill him, fear not: have not I commanded you? be
courageous and be
valiant.
Now
Absalom had ordered his young men, “Watch Amnon until his heart is
merry with
wine, and when I order you to strike Amnon down, you are to kill him. Do not be afraid. Have I not commanded you? Be
courageous and
valiant!”

loaves of bread, and an hundred bunches of
raisins, and an hundred of summer fruits, and a
bottle of
wine.
When David had gone a little beyond the summit, Ziba the servant of Mephibosheth was there to meet him. He had a pair of
saddled donkeys loaded with two hundred
loaves of bread, a hundred clusters of
raisins, a hundred summer fruits, and a skin of
wine.
And the king said unto Ziba, What meanest thou by these? And Ziba said, The
asses be for the king’s household to
ride on; and the bread and summer fruit for the young men to eat; and the
wine, that such as be
faint in the wilderness may drink.
“Why do you have these?” asked the king. Ziba replied, “The
donkeys are for the king’s household to
ride, the bread and summer fruit are for the young men to eat, and the
wine is to refresh those who become exhausted in the wilderness.”
And he
rode upon a
cherub, and did fly: and he was seen upon the
wings of the
wind.
And for the house he made windows of narrow lights.
He also had narrow windows framed high in the temple.
The door for the middle chamber was in the right side of the house: and they went up with winding stairs into the middle chamber, and out of the middle into the third.
The entrance to the bottom floor was on the south side of the temple. A
stairway led up to the middle level, and from there to the third floor.
And five cubits was the one
wing of the
cherub, and five cubits the other
wing of the
cherub: from the
uttermost part of the one
wing unto the
uttermost part of the other were ten cubits.
One
wing of the first
cherub was five cubits long, and the other
wing was five cubits long as well. So the full
wingspan was ten cubits.
And he set the cherubims within the inner house: and they stretched forth the
wings of the cherubims, so that the
wing of the one touched the one wall, and the
wing of the other
cherub touched the other wall; and their
wings touched one another in the midst of the house.
And he placed the
cherubim inside the
innermost room of the temple. Since their
wings were spread out, the
wing of the first
cherub touched one wall, while the
wing of the second
cherub touched the other wall, and in the middle of the room their
wingtips touched.
And there were windows in three rows, and light was against light in three ranks.
There were three rows of high windows facing one another in three tiers.
