And they brought the tabernacle unto Moses, the tent, and all his furniture, his taches, his boards, his bars, and his pillars, and his sockets,
Then they brought the tabernacle to Moses: the tent with all its furnishings, its clasps, its frames, its crossbars, and its posts and bases;
The ark of the testimony, and the
staves thereof, and the mercy seat,
the ark of the Testimony with its poles and the mercy seat;
The table, and all the vessels thereof, and the
shewbread,
the table with all its utensils and the Bread of the Presence;
The pure
candlestick,
with the lamps thereof, even
with the lamps to be set in order, and all the vessels thereof, and the oil for light,
the pure gold lampstand with its row of lamps and all its utensils, as well as the oil for the light;
the bronze altar
with its bronze
grating, its poles, and all its utensils; the basin
with its stand;
The hangings of the court, his pillars, and his sockets, and the hanging for the court gate, his cords, and his pins, and all the vessels of the service of the tabernacle, for the tent of the congregation,
the curtains of the
courtyard with its posts and bases; the
curtain for the gate of the
courtyard, its ropes and tent pegs, and all the
equipment for the service of the tabernacle, the Tent of Meeting;
And thou shalt put therein the ark of the testimony, and cover the ark
with the
vail.
Put the ark of the Testimony in it and screen off the ark
with the
veil.
And thou shalt take the
anointing oil, and
anoint the tabernacle, and all that is therein, and shalt
hallow it, and all the vessels thereof: and it shall be holy.
Take the
anointing oil and
anoint the tabernacle and everything in it;
consecrate it along
with all its furnishings, and it shall be holy.
And thou shalt bring Aaron and his sons unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and wash them with water.
Then bring Aaron and his sons to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting and wash them with water.
And thou shalt put upon Aaron the holy garments, and
anoint him, and
sanctify him; that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office.
And you are to
clothe Aaron
with the holy garments,
anoint him, and
consecrate him, so that he may serve Me as a priest.
And thou shalt bring his sons, and
clothe them
with coats:
Bring his sons forward and
clothe them
with tunics.
And he put the table in the tent of the congregation, upon the side of the tabernacle northward,
without the
vail.
Moses placed the table in the Tent of Meeting on the north side of the tabernacle, outside the
veil.
And he set the
laver between the tent of the congregation and the altar, and put water there, to wash
withal.
He placed the basin between the Tent of Meeting and the altar and put water in it for washing;
If his offering be a burnt sacrifice of the
herd, let him offer a male
without blemish: he shall offer it of his own voluntary will at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the LORD.
If one’s offering is a burnt offering from the
herd, he is to present an
unblemished male. He must bring it to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting for its acceptance before the LORD.
But his inwards and his legs shall he wash in water: and the priest shall burn all on the altar, to be a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.
The
entrails and legs must be washed
with water, and the priest shall burn all of it on the altar as a burnt offering, an offering made by fire, a pleasing
aroma to the LORD.
And if his offering be of the flocks, namely, of the sheep, or of the goats, for a burnt sacrifice; he shall bring it a male
without blemish.
If, however, one’s offering is a burnt offering from the flock—from the sheep or goats—he is to present an
unblemished male.
And he shall cut it into his pieces, with his head and his fat: and the priest shall lay them in order on the wood that is on the fire which is upon the altar:
He is to cut the animal into pieces, and the priest shall arrange them, including the head and fat,
atop the burning wood that is on the altar.
But he shall wash the inwards and the legs with water: and the priest shall bring it all, and burn it upon the altar: it is a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.
The
entrails and legs must be washed
with water, and the priest shall bring all of it and burn it on the altar; it is a burnt offering, an offering made by fire, a pleasing
aroma to the LORD.
And he shall
pluck away his crop
with his feathers, and cast it beside the altar on the east part, by the place of the ashes:
And he is to remove the crop with its contents and throw it to the east side of the altar, in the place for ashes.
And he shall
cleave it
with the wings thereof, but shall not divide it
asunder: and the priest shall burn it upon the altar, upon the wood that is upon the fire: it is a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.
He shall
tear it open by its wings,
without dividing the bird completely. And the priest is to burn it on the altar
atop the burning wood. It is a burnt offering, an offering made by fire, a pleasing
aroma to the LORD.
And he shall bring it to Aaron’s sons the priests: and he shall take
thereout his handful of the flour thereof, and of the oil thereof,
with all the
frankincense thereof; and the priest shall burn the
memorial of it upon the altar, to be an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD:
and bring it to Aaron’s sons the priests. The priest shall take a handful of the flour and oil, together
with all the
frankincense, and burn this as a
memorial portion on the altar, an offering made by fire, a pleasing
aroma to the LORD.
If your offering is a grain offering prepared on a
griddle, it must be
unleavened bread made of fine flour mixed
with oil.
And if thy
oblation be a meat offering
baken in the
frying pan, it shall be made of fine flour
with oil.
If your offering is a grain offering
cooked in a pan, it must consist of fine flour
with oil.
No meat offering, which ye shall bring unto the LORD, shall be made
with leaven: for ye shall burn no
leaven, nor any honey, in any offering of the LORD made by fire.
No grain offering that you present to the LORD may be made
with leaven, for you are not to burn any
leaven or honey as an offering made by fire to the LORD.
And every
oblation of thy meat offering shalt thou season
with salt; neither shalt thou suffer the salt of the covenant of thy God to be lacking from thy meat offering:
with all thine offerings thou shalt offer salt.
And you shall season each of your grain offerings with salt. You must not leave the salt of the covenant of your God out of your grain offering; you are to add salt to each of your offerings.
And the priest shall burn the
memorial of it, part of the beaten corn thereof, and part of the oil thereof,
with all the
frankincense thereof: it is an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
The priest shall then burn the
memorial portion of the
crushed grain and the oil, together
with all its
frankincense, as an offering made by fire to the LORD.
And if his
oblation be a sacrifice of peace offering, if he offer it of the
herd; whether it be a male or female, he shall offer it
without blemish before the LORD.
“If one’s offering is a peace offering and he offers an animal from the
herd, whether male or female, he must present it
without blemish before the LORD.
And the two
kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is by the flanks, and the
caul above the liver,
with the
kidneys, it shall he take away.
both
kidneys with the fat on them near the loins, and the
lobe of the liver, which he is to remove
with the
kidneys.
And if his offering for a sacrifice of peace offering unto the LORD be of the flock; male or female, he shall offer it
without blemish.
If, however, one’s peace offering to the LORD is from the flock, he must present a male or female
without blemish.
And the two
kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, which is by the flanks, and the
caul above the liver,
with the
kidneys, it shall he take away.
both
kidneys with the fat on them near the loins, and the
lobe of the liver, which he is to remove
with the
kidneys.
And the two
kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, which is by the flanks, and the
caul above the liver,
with the
kidneys, it shall he take away.
both
kidneys with the fat on them near the loins, and the
lobe of the liver, which he is to remove
with the
kidneys.
Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a soul shall sin through ignorance against any of the commandments of the LORD concerning things which ought not to be done, and shall do against any of them:
“Tell the Israelites to do as follows
with one who sins
unintentionally against any of the LORD’s commandments and does what is forbidden by them:
If the priest that is
anointed do sin according to the sin of the people; then let him bring for his sin, which he hath
sinned, a young
bullock without blemish unto the LORD for a sin offering.
If the
anointed priest sins, bringing guilt on the people, he must bring to the LORD a young bull
without blemish as a sin offering for the sin he has committed.
And the two
kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, which is by the flanks, and the
caul above the liver,
with the
kidneys, it shall he take away,
both
kidneys with the fat on them near the loins, and the
lobe of the liver, which he is to remove
with the
kidneys—
And the skin of the
bullock, and all his flesh,
with his head, and
with his legs, and his inwards, and his dung,
But the hide of the bull and all its flesh,
with its head and legs and its
entrails and dung—
Even the whole
bullock shall he carry forth
without the camp unto a clean place, where the ashes are poured out, and burn him on the wood
with fire: where the ashes are poured out shall he be burnt.
all the rest of the bull—he must take outside the camp to a
ceremonially clean place where the ashes are poured out, and there he must burn it on a wood fire on the ash
heap.
And he shall do
with the
bullock as he did
with the
bullock for a sin offering, so shall he do
with this: and the priest shall make an
atonement for them, and it shall be
forgiven them.
He shall offer this bull just as he did the bull for the sin offering; in this way the priest will make
atonement on their behalf, and they will be
forgiven.
And he shall carry forth the
bullock without the camp, and burn him as he burned the first
bullock: it is a sin offering for the congregation.
Then he is to take the bull outside the camp and burn it, just as he burned the first bull. It is the sin offering for the assembly.
Or if his sin, wherein he hath
sinned, come to his knowledge; he shall bring his offering, a
kid of the goats, a male
without blemish:
When he becomes aware of the sin he has committed, he must bring an
unblemished male goat as his offering.
And the priest shall take of the blood of the sin offering with his finger, and put it upon the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and shall pour out his blood at the bottom of the altar of burnt offering.
Then the priest is to take some of the blood of the sin offering with his finger, put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and pour out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar.
Or if his sin, which he hath
sinned, come to his knowledge: then he shall bring his offering, a
kid of the goats, a female
without blemish, for his sin which he hath
sinned.
When he becomes aware of the sin he has committed, he must bring an
unblemished female goat as his offering for that sin.
And the priest shall take of the blood thereof with his finger, and put it upon the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and shall pour out all the blood thereof at the bottom of the altar.
Then the priest is to take some of its blood with his finger, put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and pour out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar.
And if he bring a lamb for a sin offering, he shall bring it a female
without blemish.
If, however, he brings a lamb as a sin offering, he must bring an
unblemished female.
And the priest shall take of the blood of the sin offering with his finger, and put it upon the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and shall pour out all the blood thereof at the bottom of the altar:
Then the priest is to take some of the blood of the sin offering with his finger, put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and pour out the rest of its blood at the base of the altar.
And he shall take away all the fat thereof, as the fat of the lamb is taken away from the sacrifice of the peace offerings; and the priest shall burn them upon the altar, according to the offerings made by fire unto the LORD: and the priest shall make an
atonement for his sin that he hath committed, and it shall be
forgiven him.
And he shall remove all the fat, just as the fat of the lamb is removed from the peace offerings, and he shall burn it on the altar along
with the offerings made by fire to the LORD. In this way the priest will make
atonement for him for the sin he has committed, and he will be
forgiven.
And if a soul sin, and hear the voice of
swearing, and is a
witness, whether he hath seen or known of it; if he do not utter it, then he shall bear his iniquity.
“If someone sins by failing to
testify when he hears a public charge about something he has
witnessed, whether he has seen it or learned of it, he shall bear the iniquity.
Or if he touch the uncleanness of man,
whatsoever uncleanness it be that a man shall be
defiled withal, and it be
hid from him; when he knoweth of it, then he shall be guilty.
Or if he touches human uncleanness—anything by which one becomes unclean—even if he is unaware of it, when he realizes it, he is guilty.
Or if a soul
swear,
pronouncing with his lips to do evil, or to do good,
whatsoever it be that a man shall
pronounce with an oath, and it be
hid from him; when he knoweth of it, then he shall be guilty in one of these.
Or if someone swears
thoughtlessly with his lips to do anything good or evil—in whatever matter a man may
rashly pronounce an oath—even if he is unaware of it, when he realizes it, he is guilty in the matter.
And he shall bring them unto the priest, who shall offer that which is for the sin offering first, and
wring off his head from his neck, but shall not divide it
asunder:
He is to bring them to the priest, who shall first present the one for the sin offering. He is to twist its head at the front of its neck without severing it;
If a soul commit a
trespass, and sin through ignorance, in the holy things of the LORD; then he shall bring for his
trespass unto the LORD a ram
without blemish out of the flocks,
with thy
estimation by shekels of silver, after the
shekel of the sanctuary, for a
trespass offering:
“If someone acts unfaithfully and sins
unintentionally against any of the LORD’s holy things, he must bring his guilt offering to the LORD: an
unblemished ram from the flock, of proper value in silver shekels according to the sanctuary
shekel; it is a guilt offering.
And he shall make
amends for the
harm that he hath done in the holy thing, and shall add the fifth part
thereto, and give it unto the priest: and the priest shall make an
atonement for him
with the ram of the
trespass offering, and it shall be
forgiven him.
Regarding any holy thing he has
harmed, he must make
restitution by adding a fifth of its value to it and giving it to the priest, who will make
atonement on his behalf
with the ram as a guilt offering, and he will be
forgiven.
And he shall bring a ram
without blemish out of the flock,
with thy
estimation, for a
trespass offering, unto the priest: and the priest shall make an
atonement for him concerning his ignorance wherein he
erred and
wist it not, and it shall be
forgiven him.
He is to bring to the priest an
unblemished ram of proper value from the flock as a guilt offering. Then the priest will make
atonement on his behalf for the wrong he has committed in ignorance, and he will be
forgiven.
Then he must bring to the priest his guilt offering to the LORD: an
unblemished ram of proper value from the flock.
And the priest shall put on his linen garment, and his linen
breeches shall he put upon his flesh, and take up the ashes which the fire hath consumed
with the burnt offering on the altar, and he shall put them beside the altar.
And the priest shall put on his linen
robe and linen undergarments, and he shall remove from the altar the ashes of the burnt offering that the fire has consumed and place them beside it.
And he shall put off his garments, and put on other garments, and carry forth the ashes without the camp unto a clean place.
Then he must take off his garments, put on other clothes, and carry the ashes outside the camp to a
ceremonially clean place.
And he shall take of it his handful, of the flour of the meat offering, and of the oil thereof, and all the
frankincense which is upon the meat offering, and shall burn it upon the altar for a sweet savour, even the
memorial of it, unto the LORD.
The priest is to remove a handful of fine flour and olive oil, together
with all the
frankincense from the grain offering, and burn the
memorial portion on the altar as a pleasing
aroma to the LORD.
And the remainder thereof shall Aaron and his sons eat:
with unleavened bread shall it be eaten in the holy place; in the court of the tabernacle of the congregation they shall eat it.
Aaron and his sons are to eat the remainder. It must be eaten
without leaven in a holy place; they are to eat it in the
courtyard of the Tent of Meeting.
It shall not be
baken with leaven. I have given it unto them for their portion of my offerings made by fire; it is most holy, as is the sin offering, and as the
trespass offering.
It must not be
baked with leaven; I have assigned it as their portion of My offerings made by fire. It is most holy, like the sin offering and the guilt offering.
In a pan it shall be made
with oil; and when it is
baken, thou shalt bring it in: and the
baken pieces of the meat offering shalt thou offer for a sweet savour unto the LORD.
It shall be prepared
with oil on a
griddle; you are to bring it well-
kneaded and present it as a grain offering broken in pieces, a pleasing
aroma to the LORD.
The clay pot in which the sin offering is boiled must be broken; if it is boiled in a bronze pot, the pot must be
scoured and
rinsed with water.
And no sin offering,
whereof any of the blood is brought into the tabernacle of the congregation to
reconcile withal in the holy place, shall be eaten: it shall be burnt in the fire.
But no sin offering may be eaten if its blood has been brought into the Tent of Meeting to make
atonement in the Holy Place; it must be burned.
And the two
kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is by the flanks, and the
caul that is above the liver,
with the
kidneys, it shall he take away:
both
kidneys with the fat on them near the loins, and the
lobe of the liver, which is to be removed
with the
kidneys.
As the sin offering is, so is the
trespass offering: there is one law for them: the priest that maketh
atonement therewith shall have it.
The guilt offering is like the sin offering; the same law applies to both. It belongs to the priest who makes
atonement with it.
And every meat offering, mingled with oil, and dry, shall all the sons of Aaron have, one as much as another.
and every grain offering, whether dry or mixed with oil, belongs equally to all the sons of Aaron.
Besides the cakes, he shall offer for his offering
leavened bread
with the sacrifice of
thanksgiving of his peace offerings.
Along
with his peace offering of
thanksgiving he is to present an offering
with cakes of
leavened bread.
But the remainder of the flesh of the sacrifice on the third day shall be burnt with fire.
But any meat of the sacrifice remaining until the third day must be burned up.
And the flesh that toucheth any unclean thing shall not be eaten; it shall be burnt with fire: and as for the flesh, all that be clean shall eat thereof.
Meat that touches anything unclean must not be eaten; it is to be burned up. As for any other meat,
anyone who is
ceremonially clean may eat it.
And the fat of the beast that dieth of itself, and the fat of that which is
torn with beasts, may be used in any other use: but ye shall in no wise eat of it.
The fat of an animal found dead or
mauled by wild beasts may be used for any other purpose, but you must not eat it.
His own hands shall bring the offerings of the LORD made by fire, the fat with the breast, it shall he bring, that the breast may be waved for a wave offering before the LORD.
With his own hands he is to bring the offerings made by fire to the LORD; he shall bring the fat, together with the breast, and wave the breast as a wave offering before the LORD.
“Take Aaron and his sons, their garments, the
anointing oil, the bull of the sin offering, the two rams, and the
basket of
unleavened bread,
And Moses brought Aaron and his sons, and washed them with water.
Then Moses presented Aaron and his sons and washed them with water.
He
sprinkled some of the oil on the altar seven times,
anointing the altar and all its utensils, and the basin
with its stand, to
consecrate them.
And Moses brought Aaron’s sons, and put coats upon them, and
girded them
with girdles, and put bonnets upon them; as the LORD commanded Moses.
Then Moses presented Aaron’s sons, put tunics on them,
wrapped sashes around them, and
tied headbands on them, just as the LORD had commanded him.
And he
slew it; and Moses took the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar round about
with his finger, and
purified the altar, and poured the blood at the bottom of the altar, and
sanctified it, to make
reconciliation upon it.
Moses slaughtered the bull, took some of the blood, and applied it
with his finger to all four horns of the altar,
purifying the altar. He poured out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar and consecrated it so that
atonement could be made on it.
But the
bullock, and his hide, his flesh, and his dung, he burnt
with fire
without the camp; as the LORD commanded Moses.
But the bull with its hide, flesh, and dung he burned outside the camp, as the LORD had commanded him.
And he washed the inwards and the legs in water; and Moses burnt the whole ram upon the altar: it was a burnt sacrifice for a sweet savour, and an offering made by fire unto the LORD; as the LORD commanded Moses.
He washed the
entrails and legs
with water and burned the entire ram on the altar as a burnt offering, a pleasing
aroma, an offering made by fire to the LORD, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
And he took the fat, and the
rump, and all the fat that was upon the inwards, and the
caul above the liver, and the two
kidneys, and their fat, and the right shoulder:
And Moses took the fat—the fat tail, all the fat that was on the
entrails, the
lobe of the liver, and both
kidneys with their fat—as well as the right
thigh.
And Moses took them from off their hands, and burnt them on the altar upon the burnt offering: they were consecrations for a sweet savour: it is an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
Then Moses took these from their hands and burned them on the altar
with the burnt offering. This was an
ordination offering, a pleasing
aroma, an offering made by fire to the LORD.
And Moses took of the
anointing oil, and of the blood which was upon the altar, and
sprinkled it upon Aaron, and upon his garments, and upon his sons, and upon his sons’ garments
with him; and
sanctified Aaron, and his garments, and his sons, and his sons’ garments
with him.
Next, Moses took some of the
anointing oil and some of the blood that was on the altar and
sprinkled them on Aaron and his garments, and on his sons and their garments. So he consecrated Aaron and his garments, as well as Aaron’s sons and their garments.
And Moses said unto Aaron and to his sons,
Boil the flesh at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and there eat it
with the bread that is in the
basket of consecrations, as I commanded, saying, Aaron and his sons shall eat it.
And Moses said to Aaron and his sons, “
Boil the meat at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting and eat it there
with the bread that is in the
basket of
ordination offerings, as I commanded, saying, ‘Aaron and his sons are to eat it.’
And that which remaineth of the flesh and of the bread shall ye burn with fire.
Then you must burn up the remainder of the meat and bread.
And he said unto Aaron, Take thee a young
calf for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering,
without blemish, and offer them before the LORD.
He said to Aaron, “Take for
yourself a young bull for a sin offering and a ram for a burnt offering, both
without blemish, and present them before the LORD.
And unto the children of Israel thou shalt speak, saying, Take ye a
kid of the goats for a sin offering; and a
calf and a lamb, both of the first year,
without blemish, for a burnt offering;
Then speak to the Israelites and say, ‘Take a male goat for a sin offering, a
calf and a lamb—both a year old and
without blemish—for a burnt offering,
Also a
bullock and a ram for peace offerings, to sacrifice before the LORD; and a meat offering mingled
with oil: for to day the LORD will appear unto you.
an ox and a ram for a peace offering to sacrifice before the LORD, and a grain offering mixed
with oil. For
today the LORD will appear to you.’”
And the flesh and the hide he burnt with fire without the camp.
But he burned up the flesh and the hide outside the camp.
And they presented the burnt offering unto him, with the pieces thereof, and the head: and he burnt them upon the altar.
They brought him the burnt offering piece by piece, including the head, and he burned them on the altar.
And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto
Eleazar and unto
Ithamar, his sons, Uncover not your heads, neither
rend your clothes; lest ye die, and lest wrath come upon all the people: but let your brethren, the whole house of Israel,
bewail the burning which the LORD hath
kindled.
Then Moses said to Aaron and his sons
Eleazar and
Ithamar, “Do not let your hair become
disheveled and do not
tear your garments, or else you will die, and the LORD will be
angry with the whole congregation. But your brothers, the whole house of Israel, may
mourn on account of the fire that the LORD has
ignited.
Do not drink wine nor strong drink, thou, nor thy sons with thee, when ye go into the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations:
“You and your sons are not to drink wine or strong drink when you enter the Tent of Meeting, or else you will die; this is a permanent statute for the generations to come.
And Moses spake unto Aaron, and unto
Eleazar and unto
Ithamar, his sons that were left, Take the meat offering that remaineth of the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and eat it
without leaven beside the altar: for it is most holy:
And Moses said to Aaron and his remaining sons,
Eleazar and
Ithamar, “Take the grain offering that remains from the offerings made by fire to the LORD and eat it
without leaven beside the altar, because it is most holy.
And the wave breast and
heave shoulder shall ye eat in a clean place; thou, and thy sons, and thy daughters
with thee: for they be thy due, and thy sons’ due, which are given out of the sacrifices of peace offerings of the children of Israel.
And you and your sons and daughters may eat the breast of the wave offering and the
thigh of the contribution in a
ceremonially clean place, because these portions have been assigned to you and your children from the peace offerings of the sons of Israel.
The
heave shoulder and the wave breast shall they bring
with the offerings made by fire of the fat, to wave it for a wave offering before the LORD; and it shall be thine, and thy sons’
with thee, by a statute for ever; as the LORD hath commanded.
They are to bring the
thigh of the contribution and the breast of the wave offering, together
with the fat portions of the offerings made by fire, to wave as a wave offering before the LORD. It will belong permanently to you and your children, as the LORD has commanded.”
And Moses
diligently sought the goat of the sin offering, and, behold, it was burnt: and he was
angry with Eleazar and
Ithamar, the sons of Aaron which were left alive, saying,
Later, Moses searched carefully for the goat of the sin offering, and behold, it had been burned up. He was
angry with Eleazar and
Ithamar, Aaron’s remaining sons, and asked,
Behold, the blood of it was not brought in within the holy place: ye should indeed have eaten it in the holy place, as I commanded.
Since its blood was not brought inside the holy place, you should have eaten it in the sanctuary area, as I commanded.”
These shall ye eat of all that are in the waters:
whatsoever hath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, them shall ye eat.
Of all the creatures that live in the water, whether in the seas or in the streams, you may eat anything with fins and scales.
Yet these may ye eat of every flying
creeping thing that goeth upon all four, which have legs above their feet, to
leap withal upon the earth;
However, you may eat the following kinds of flying insects that walk on all fours: those having jointed legs above their feet for
hopping on the ground.
The carcases of every beast which divideth the
hoof, and is not clovenfooted, nor cheweth the
cud, are unclean unto you: every one that toucheth them shall be unclean.
Every animal
with hooves not completely divided or that does not
chew the
cud is unclean for you.
Whoever touches any of them will be unclean.
