And upon
whatsoever any of them, when they are dead,
doth fall, it shall be unclean; whether it be any vessel of wood, or
raiment, or skin, or
sack,
whatsoever vessel it be, wherein any work is done, it must be put into water, and it shall be unclean until the even; so it shall be
cleansed.

drunk in every such vessel shall be unclean.

All the days wherein the plague shall be in him he shall be
defiled; he is unclean: he shall dwell alone;
without the camp shall his
habitation be.
As long as he has the
infection, he remains unclean. He must live alone in a place outside the camp.
The garment also that the plague of
leprosy is in, whether it be a woollen garment, or a linen garment;
And if the plague be
greenish or reddish in the garment, or in the skin, either in the
warp, or in the
woof, or in any thing of skin; it is a plague of
leprosy, and shall be shewed unto the priest:
And the priest shall look on the plague, after that it is washed: and, behold, if the plague have not changed his colour, and the plague be not spread; it is unclean; thou shalt burn it in the fire; it is
fret inward, whether it be bare
within or
without.
After it has been washed, the priest is to reexamine it, and if the
mildewed article has not changed in appearance, it is unclean. Even though the
mildew has not spread, you must burn it, whether the
rot is on the front or back.
And if it appear still in the garment, either in the
warp, or in the
woof, or in any thing of skin; it is a spreading plague: thou shalt burn that wherein the plague is
with fire.

leper in the day of his
cleansing: He shall be brought unto the priest:

afflicted with a skin disease on the day of his
cleansing, when he is brought to the priest.
As for the living bird, he shall take it, and the
cedar wood, and the scarlet, and the
hyssop, and shall dip them and the living bird in the blood of the bird that was killed over the running water:
And he is to take the live bird together
with the
cedar wood, scarlet yarn, and
hyssop, and dip them into the blood of the bird that was slaughtered over the fresh water.
And he that is to be
cleansed shall wash his clothes, and
shave off all his hair, and wash himself in water, that he may be clean: and after that he shall come into the camp, and shall
tarry abroad out of his tent seven days.
The one being
cleansed must wash his clothes,
shave off all his hair, and
bathe with water; then he will be
ceremonially clean. Afterward, he may enter the camp, but he must remain outside his tent for seven days.
But it shall be on the seventh day, that he shall
shave all his hair off his head and his
beard and his eyebrows, even all his hair he shall
shave off: and he shall wash his clothes, also he shall wash his flesh in water, and he shall be clean.
On the seventh day he must
shave off all his hair—his head, his
beard, his eyebrows, and the rest of his hair. He must wash his clothes and
bathe himself
with water, and he will be clean.
And on the eighth day he shall take two he lambs
without blemish, and one
ewe lamb of the first year
without blemish, and three tenth deals of fine flour for a meat offering, mingled
with oil, and one log of oil.

unblemished male lambs, an
unblemished ewe lamb a year old, a grain offering of three-tenths of an
ephah of fine flour mixed
with olive oil, and one log of olive oil.
And the priest that maketh him clean shall present the man that is to be made clean, and those things, before the LORD, at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation:

cleansing shall present the one to be
cleansed, together
with these offerings, before the LORD at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.
And the priest shall take one he lamb, and offer him for a
trespass offering, and the log of oil, and wave them for a wave offering before the LORD:

And the priest shall dip his right finger in the oil that is in his left hand, and shall
sprinkle of the oil
with his finger seven times before the LORD:
dip his right
forefinger into the oil in his left palm, and
sprinkle some of the oil
with his finger seven times before the LORD.
And the priest shall offer the burnt offering and the meat offering upon the altar: and the priest shall make an
atonement for him, and he shall be clean.
and offer it on the altar,
with the grain offering, to make
atonement for him, and he will be clean.
And if he be poor, and cannot get so much; then he shall take one lamb for a
trespass offering to be waved, to make an
atonement for him, and one tenth deal of fine flour mingled
with oil for a meat offering, and a log of oil;
If, however, the person is poor and cannot afford these offerings, he is to take one male lamb as a guilt offering to be waved to make
atonement for him, along
with a tenth of an
ephah of fine flour mixed
with olive oil for a grain offering, a log of olive oil,
And the priest shall take the lamb of the
trespass offering, and the log of oil, and the priest shall wave them for a wave offering before the LORD:
The priest shall take the lamb for the guilt offering, along with the log of olive oil, and wave them as a wave offering before the LORD.
And the priest shall
sprinkle with his right finger some of the oil that is in his left hand seven times before the LORD:
and
sprinkle with his right
forefinger some of the oil in his left palm seven times before the LORD.
Even such as he is able to get, the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering,
with the meat offering: and the priest shall make an
atonement for him that is to be
cleansed before the LORD.
one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering, together
with the grain offering. In this way the priest will make
atonement before the LORD for the one to be
cleansed.
And he shall look on the plague, and, behold, if the plague be in the walls of the house
with hollow strakes,
greenish or reddish, which in sight are lower than the wall;
He is to examine the house, and if the
mildew on the walls consists of green or red depressions that appear to be beneath the surface of the wall,
Then the priest shall command that they take away the stones in which the plague is, and they shall cast them into an unclean place without the city:
he must order that the
contaminated stones be pulled out and thrown into an unclean place outside the city.
And he shall cause the house to be
scraped within round about, and they shall pour out the dust that they
scrape off
without the city into an unclean place:
And he shall have the inside of the house
scraped completely and the
plaster that is
scraped off
dumped into an unclean place outside the city.
And he shall break down the house, the stones of it, and the timber thereof, and all the
morter of the house; and he shall carry them forth out of the city into an unclean place.

torn down
with its stones, its timbers, and all its
plaster, and taken outside the city to an unclean place.
And he shall
cleanse the house
with the blood of the bird, and
with the running water, and
with the living bird, and
with the
cedar wood, and
with the
hyssop, and
with the scarlet:
And he shall
cleanse the house
with the bird’s blood, the fresh water, the live bird, the
cedar wood, the
hyssop, and the scarlet yarn.

This uncleanness is from his discharge, whether his body allows the discharge to flow or blocks it. So his discharge will bring about uncleanness.
Every bed,
whereon he lieth that hath the issue, is unclean: and every thing,
whereon he sitteth, shall be unclean.

whosoever toucheth any thing that was under him shall be unclean until the even: and he that beareth any of those things shall wash his clothes, and
bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even.

rinsed his hands in water, he shall wash his clothes, and
bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even.
If the man
with the discharge touches
anyone without first
rinsing his hands
with water, the one who was touched must wash his clothes and
bathe with water, and he will be unclean until evening.
And the vessel of earth, that he toucheth which hath the issue, shall be broken: and every vessel of wood shall be
rinsed in water.
Any clay pot that the man
with the discharge touches must be broken, and any wooden
utensil must be
rinsed with water.
And if any man’s seed of
copulation go out from him, then he shall wash all his flesh in water, and be unclean until the even.

bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even.
Whoever touches any furniture on which she was sitting must wash his clothes and

with an unclean woman.’”
And the LORD said unto Moses, Speak unto Aaron thy brother, that he come not at all times into the holy place
within the
vail before the mercy seat, which is upon the ark; that he die not: for I will appear in the cloud upon the mercy seat.
And the LORD said to Moses: “Tell your brother Aaron not to enter freely into the Most Holy Place behind the
veil in front of the mercy seat on the ark, or else he will die, because I appear in the cloud above the mercy seat.
Thus shall Aaron come into the holy place:
with a young
bullock for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering.
This is how Aaron is to enter the Holy Place: with a young bull for a sin offering and a ram for a burnt offering.
He shall put on the holy linen coat, and he shall have the linen
breeches upon his flesh, and shall be
girded with a linen
girdle, and
with the linen
mitre shall he be
attired: these are holy garments; therefore shall he wash his flesh in water, and so put them on.
He is to wear the sacred linen
tunic,
with linen undergarments. He must
tie a linen
sash around him and put on the linen
turban. These are holy garments, and he must
bathe himself
with water before he wears them.
But the goat, on which the lot fell to be the
scapegoat, shall be presented alive before the LORD, to make an
atonement with him, and to let him go for a
scapegoat into the wilderness.
But the goat chosen by lot as the
scapegoat shall be presented alive before the LORD to make
atonement by sending it into the wilderness as the
scapegoat.
And he shall take a
censer full of burning coals of fire from off the altar before the LORD, and his hands full of sweet incense beaten small, and bring it
within the
vail:
Then he must take a
censer full of burning coals from the altar before the LORD, and two handfuls of finely ground
fragrant incense, and take them inside the
veil.
And he shall take of the blood of the
bullock, and
sprinkle it
with his finger upon the mercy seat eastward; and before the mercy seat shall he
sprinkle of the blood
with his finger seven times.
And he is to take some of the bull’s blood and
sprinkle it
with his finger on the east side of the mercy seat; then he shall
sprinkle some of it
with his finger seven times before the mercy seat.
Then shall he kill the goat of the sin offering, that is for the people, and bring his blood
within the
vail, and do
with that blood as he did
with the blood of the
bullock, and
sprinkle it upon the mercy seat, and before the mercy seat:
Aaron shall then slaughter the goat for the sin offering for the people and bring its blood behind the
veil, and
with its blood he must do as he did
with the bull’s blood: He is to
sprinkle it against the mercy seat and in front of it.
And he shall
sprinkle of the blood upon it
with his finger seven times, and
cleanse it, and
hallow it from the uncleanness of the children of Israel.
He is to
sprinkle some of the blood on it
with his finger seven times to
cleanse it and
consecrate it from the uncleanness of the Israelites.
And he shall wash his flesh
with water in the holy place, and put on his garments, and come forth, and offer his burnt offering, and the burnt offering of the people, and make an
atonement for himself, and for the people.
He is to
bathe himself
with water in a holy place and put on his own clothes. Then he must go out and sacrifice his burnt offering and the people’s burnt offering to make
atonement for himself and for the people.
And he that let go the goat for the
scapegoat shall wash his clothes, and
bathe his flesh in water, and afterward come into the camp.
The man who released the goat as the
scapegoat must wash his clothes and
bathe himself
with water; afterward he may reenter the camp.
And the
bullock for the sin offering, and the goat for the sin offering, whose blood was brought in to make
atonement in the holy place, shall one carry forth
without the camp; and they shall burn in the fire their skins, and their flesh, and their dung.
The bull for the sin offering and the goat for the sin offering, whose blood was brought into the Most Holy Place to make
atonement, must be taken outside the camp; and their hides, flesh, and dung must be burned up.
And he that burneth them shall wash his clothes, and
bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp.
The one who burns them must wash his clothes and
bathe himself
with water, and afterward he may reenter the camp.
And
whatsoever man there be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that
sojourn among you, which hunteth and catcheth any beast or fowl that may be eaten; he shall even pour out the blood thereof, and cover it
with dust.
And if any
Israelite or foreigner living among them hunts down a wild animal or bird that may be eaten, he must
drain its blood and cover it
with dirt.
And every soul that eateth that which died of itself, or that which was
torn with beasts, whether it be one of your own country, or a stranger, he shall both wash his clothes, and
bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even: then shall he be clean.
And any person, whether native or foreigner, who eats anything found dead or
mauled by wild beasts must wash his clothes and
bathe with water, and he will be unclean until evening; then he will be clean.
The nakedness of thy father, or the nakedness of thy mother, shalt thou not uncover: she is thy mother; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
You must not
expose the nakedness of your father by having sexual relations
with your mother. She is your mother; you must not have sexual relations
with her.
The nakedness of thy father’s wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy father’s nakedness.
You must not have sexual relations with your father’s wife; it would dishonor your father.
The nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of thy father, or daughter of thy mother, whether she be born at home, or born abroad, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover.
You must not have sexual relations with your sister, either your father’s daughter or your mother’s daughter, whether she was born in the same home or elsewhere.
The nakedness of thy son’s daughter, or of thy daughter’s daughter, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover: for theirs is thine own nakedness.
You must not have sexual relations with your son’s daughter or your daughter’s daughter, for that would shame your family.
The nakedness of thy father’s wife’s daughter,
begotten of thy father, she is thy sister, thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
You must not have sexual relations with the daughter of your father’s wife, born to your father; she is your sister.
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father’s sister: she is thy father’s near
kinswoman.
You must not have sexual relations with your father’s sister; she is your father’s close relative.
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy mother’s sister: for she is thy mother’s near
kinswoman.
You must not have sexual relations with your mother’s sister, for she is your mother’s close relative.
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father’s brother, thou shalt not approach to his wife: she is thine
aunt.
You must not dishonor your father’s brother by approaching his wife to have sexual relations
with her; she is your
aunt.
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy daughter in law: she is thy son’s wife; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
You must not have sexual relations with your daughter-in-law. She is your son’s wife; you are not to have sexual relations with her.
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy brother’s wife: it is thy brother’s nakedness.
You must not have sexual relations with your brother’s wife; that would shame your brother.
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter, neither shalt thou take her son’s daughter, or her daughter’s daughter, to uncover her nakedness; for they are her near
kinswomen: it is wickedness.
You must not have sexual relations
with both a woman and her daughter. You are not to marry her son’s daughter or her daughter’s daughter and have sexual relations
with her. They are close relatives; it is
depraved.
Neither shalt thou take a wife to her sister, to
vex her, to uncover her nakedness, beside the other in her life time.
You must not take your wife’s sister as a rival wife and have sexual relations with her while your wife is still alive.
Also thou shalt not approach unto a woman to uncover her nakedness, as long as she is put apart for her uncleanness.
You must not approach a woman to have sexual relations
with her during her
menstrual period.
You must not lie
with a man as
with a woman; that is an
abomination.
Neither shalt thou lie
with any beast to
defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down
thereto: it is confusion.
Thou shalt not
defraud thy neighbour, neither
rob him: the wages of him that is
hired shall not
abide with thee all night until the morning.
Ye shall keep my statutes. Thou shalt not let thy cattle
gender with a
diverse kind: thou shalt not
sow thy field
with mingled seed: neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woollen come upon thee.
You are to keep My statutes. You shall not
crossbreed two different kinds of
livestock; you shall not
sow your fields
with two kinds of seed; and you shall not wear clothing made of two kinds of material.
And
whosoever lieth
carnally with a woman, that is a
bondmaid,
betrothed to an husband, and not at all redeemed, nor freedom given her; she shall be
scourged; they shall not be put to death, because she was not free.
If a man lies
carnally with a slave
girl promised to another man but who has not been redeemed or given her freedom, there must be due punishment. But they are not to be put to death, because she had not been freed.
And the priest shall make an
atonement for him
with the ram of the
trespass offering before the LORD for his sin which he hath done: and the sin which he hath done shall be
forgiven him.
The priest shall make
atonement on his behalf before the LORD
with the ram of the guilt offering for the sin he has committed, and he will be
forgiven the sin he has committed.
But in the fourth year all the fruit thereof shall be holy to praise the LORD
withal.
In the fourth year all its fruit must be consecrated as a praise offering to the LORD.
Ye shall not eat any thing
with the blood: neither shall ye use
enchantment, nor observe times.
You must not eat anything
with blood still in it. You must not practice
divination or
sorcery.
Do not
prostitute thy daughter, to cause her to be a
whore; lest the land fall to
whoredom, and the land become full of wickedness.
And if a stranger
sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not
vex him.
When a foreigner resides
with you in your land, you must not
oppress him.
But the stranger that dwelleth
with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as
thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.
You must treat the foreigner living among you as native-born and love him as
yourself, for you were foreigners in the land of Egypt. I am the LORD your God.
Again, thou shalt say to the children of Israel,
Whosoever he be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that
sojourn in Israel, that giveth any of his seed unto
Molech; he shall surely be put to death: the people of the land shall stone him
with stones.
“Tell the Israelites, ‘Any
Israelite or foreigner living in Israel who gives any of his children to
Molech must be put to death. The people of the land are to stone him.
Then I will set my face against that man, and against his family, and will cut him off, and all that go a
whoring after him, to commit
whoredom with Molech, from among their people.
then I will set My face against that man and his family and cut off from among their people both him and all who follow him in
prostituting themselves
with Molech.
And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a
whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.
Whoever turns to mediums or spiritists to
prostitute himself
with them, I will also set My face against that person and cut him off from his people.
And the man that committeth
adultery with another man’s wife, even he that committeth
adultery with his neighbour’s wife, the
adulterer and the
adulteress shall surely be put to death.
And the man that lieth with his father’s wife hath uncovered his father’s nakedness: both of them shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
If a man lies with his father’s wife, he has uncovered his father’s nakedness. Both must surely be put to death; their blood is upon them.
And if a man lie with his daughter in law, both of them shall surely be put to death: they have wrought confusion; their blood shall be upon them.
If a man lies
with his daughter-in-law, both must surely be put to death. They have acted
perversely; their blood is upon them.
If a man also lie
with mankind, as he lieth
with a woman, both of them have committed an
abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
If a man lies
with a man as
with a woman, they have both committed an
abomination. They must surely be put to death; their blood is upon them.
And if a man take a wife and her mother, it is wickedness: they shall be burnt with fire, both he and they; that there be no wickedness among you.
If a man marries both a woman and her mother, it is
depraved. Both he and they must be burned in the fire, so that there will be no
depravity among you.
And if a man lie
with a beast, he shall surely be put to death: and ye shall
slay the beast.
If a man lies
carnally with an animal, he must be put to death. And you are also to kill the animal.
And if a woman approach unto any beast, and lie down
thereto, thou shalt kill the woman, and the beast: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
If a woman approaches any animal to
mate with it, you must kill both the woman and the animal. They must surely be put to death; their blood is upon them.
And if a man shall lie with a woman having her sickness, and shall uncover her nakedness; he hath discovered her fountain, and she hath uncovered the fountain of her blood: and both of them shall be cut off from among their people.
If a man lies
with a
menstruating woman and has sexual relations
with her, he has exposed the source of her flow, and she has uncovered the source of her blood. Both of them must be cut off from among their people.
And thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy mother’s sister, nor of thy father’s sister: for he uncovereth his near
kin: they shall bear their iniquity.
You must not have sexual relations
with the sister of your mother or your father, for it is
exposing one’s own
kin; both shall bear their iniquity.
And if a man shall lie with his uncle’s wife, he hath uncovered his uncle’s nakedness: they shall bear their sin; they shall die childless.
If a man lies with his uncle’s wife, he has uncovered the nakedness of his uncle. They will bear their sin; they shall die childless.
But I have said unto you, Ye shall
inherit their land, and I will give it unto you to possess it, a land that floweth
with milk and honey: I am the LORD your God, which have separated you from other people.
But I have told you that you will
inherit their land, since I will give it to you as an inheritance—a land flowing
with milk and honey. I am the LORD your God, who has set you apart from the peoples.
A man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a
wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them
with stones: their blood shall be upon them.
A man or a woman who is a medium or
spiritist must surely be put to death. They shall be stoned; their blood is upon them.’”
And the daughter of any priest, if she
profane herself by playing the
whore, she profaneth her father: she shall be burnt
with fire.
If a priest’s daughter defiles herself by
prostituting herself, she profanes her father; she must be burned in the fire.
