They are like unto children sitting in the marketplace, and calling one to
another, and saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have
mourned to you, and ye have not
wept.
They are like children sitting in the marketplace and calling out to one
another: ‘We played the
flute for you, and you did not dance; we
sang a
dirge, and you did not
weep.’
And stood at his feet behind him
weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did
wipe them with the hairs of her head, and
kissed his feet, and
anointed them with the
ointment.
As she stood behind Him at His feet
weeping, she began to wet His feet with her tears and
wipe them with her hair. Then she
kissed His feet and
anointed them with the
perfume.
And it came to pass afterward, that he went throughout every city and village, preaching and
shewing the
glad tidings of the kingdom of God: and the twelve were with him,

And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him.
“Where is your faith?” He asked.
Frightened and
amazed, they asked one
another, “Who is this? He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey Him!”

another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and
bury my father.

another man, “Follow Me.” The man replied, “Lord, first let me go and
bury my father.”
And
another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go
bid them
farewell, which are at home at my house.
Still
another said, “I will follow You, Lord; but first let me
bid farewell to my family.”
In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people,
insomuch that they
trode one upon
another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all,
Beware ye of the
leaven of the
Pharisees, which is
hypocrisy.
In the meantime, a crowd of many thousands had gathered, so that they were
trampling one
another. Jesus began to speak first to His disciples: “
Beware of the
leaven of the
Pharisees, which is
hypocrisy.
And they all with one consent began to make
excuse. The first said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray thee have me
excused.
But one after
another they all began to make excuses. The first one said, ‘I have bought a field, and I need to go see it. Please
excuse me.’

excused.
Another said, ‘I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I am going to try them out. Please
excuse me.’

another king will not first sit down and consider whether he can
engage with ten thousand men the one coming against him with twenty thousand?
Then said he to
another, And how much owest thou? And he said, An hundred measures of wheat. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and write

another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a
napkin:
Then
another servant came and said, ‘Master, here is your
mina, which I have laid away in a piece of cloth.
And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon
another; because thou knewest not the time of thy
visitation.
They will level you to the ground—you and the children within your walls. They will not leave one stone on
another, because you did not recognize the time of your
visitation from God.”
And again he sent
another servant: and they beat him also, and
entreated him
shamefully, and sent him away empty.
So he sent
another servant, but they beat him and treated him
shamefully, sending him away empty-handed.
As for these things which ye behold, the days will come, in the which there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
“As for what you see here, the time will come when not one stone will be left on another; every one will be thrown down.”

And about the space of one hour after
another confidently affirmed, saying, Of a truth this fellow also was with him: for he is a Galilaean.
About an hour later,
another man insisted, “Certainly this man was with Him, for he too is a
Galilean.”
And he said unto them, What manner of communications are these that ye have one to
another, as ye walk, and are
sad?
He asked them, “What are you
discussing so intently as you walk along?” They stood still, with
sadness on their faces.
And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?
They asked each other, “Were not our hearts burning within us as He spoke with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?”
Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him ought to eat?
So the disciples asked one another, “Could someone have brought Him food?”
And
herein is that saying true, One soweth, and
another reapeth.
For in this case the saying ‘One sows and another reaps’ is true.
The
impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the
pool: but while I am coming,
another steppeth down before me.
“Sir,” the
invalid replied, “I have no one to help me into the
pool when the water is
stirred. While I am on my way, someone else goes in before me.”
There is another that beareth witness of me; and I know that the witness which he witnesseth of me is true.
There is
another who testifies about Me, and I know that His testimony about Me is
valid.
I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.
I have come in My Father’s name, and you have not received Me; but if someone else comes in his own name, you will receive him.
How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only?
How can you believe if you accept glory from one another, yet do not seek the glory that comes from the only God?
Then said the Jews among themselves,
Whither will he go, that we shall not find him? will he go unto the
dispersed among the Gentiles, and teach the Gentiles?
At this, the Jews said to one
another, “Where does He intend to go that we will not find Him? Will He go where the Jews are
dispersed among the Greeks, and teach the Greeks?
When he had thus spoken, he
spat on the ground, and made clay of the
spittle, and he
anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay,
When Jesus had said this, He
spit on the ground, made some mud, and applied it to the man’s eyes.
He answered and said, A man that is called Jesus made clay, and
anointed mine eyes, and said unto me, Go to the
pool of Siloam, and wash: and I went and washed, and I received sight.
He answered, “The man they call Jesus made some mud and
anointed my eyes, and He told me to go to Siloam and wash. So I went and washed and received my sight.”
Then sought they for Jesus, and spake among themselves, as they stood in the temple, What think ye, that he will not come to the feast?

The
Pharisees therefore said among themselves, Perceive ye how ye prevail nothing? behold, the world is gone after him.
Then the

another, “You can see that this is doing you no good. Look how the whole world has gone after Him!”
If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet.
So if I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet.
Then the disciples looked one on another, doubting of whom he spake.
The disciples looked at one
another,

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
A new commandment I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you also must love one another.
By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
By this
everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you love one
another.”
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you
another Comforter, that he may
abide with you for ever;
And I will ask the Father, and He will give you
another Advocate to be with you
forever—
This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.
These things I command you, that ye love one another.
This is My command to you: Love one another.
Then said some of his disciples among themselves, What is this that he saith unto us, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me: and, Because I go to the Father?
Then some of His disciples asked one another, “Why is He telling us, ‘In a little while you will not see Me, and then after a little while you will see Me’ and ‘Because I am going to the Father’?”
Now Jesus knew that they were
desirous to ask him, and said unto them, Do ye
enquire among
yourselves of that I said, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me?
Aware that they wanted to question Him, Jesus said to them, “Are you asking one another why I said, ‘In a little while you will not see Me, and then after a little while you will see Me’?
And Simon Peter followed Jesus, and so did another disciple: that disciple was known unto the high priest, and went in with Jesus into the palace of the high priest.
Now Simon Peter and
another disciple were following Jesus. Since that disciple was known to the high priest, he also went with Jesus into the
courtyard of the high priest.
They said therefore among themselves, Let us not
rend it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be: that the scripture might be fulfilled, which saith, They parted my
raiment among them, and for my
vesture they did cast lots. These things therefore the soldiers did.
So they said to one
another, “Let us not
tear it. Instead, let us cast lots to see who will get it.” This was to
fulfill the Scripture: “They divided My garments among them, and cast lots for My clothing.” So that is what the soldiers did.
And again another scripture saith, They shall look on him whom they pierced.
And, as another Scripture says: “They will look on the One they have pierced.”
Verily,
verily, I say unto thee, When thou
wast young, thou girdedst
thyself, and walkedst
whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and
another shall
gird thee, and carry thee
whither thou wouldest not.
Truly, truly, I tell you, when you were young, you dressed
yourself and walked where you wanted; but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will dress you and lead you where you do not want to go.”
For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his
habitation be
desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishoprick let
another take.
“For it is written in the book of Psalms: ‘May his place be deserted; let there be no one to dwell in it,’ and, ‘May another take his position.’
And they were all
amazed and
marvelled, saying one to
another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?
And they were all
amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to
another, What meaneth this?
The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ.
The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together against the Lord and against His
Anointed One.’
For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast
anointed, both Herod, and Pontius
Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,
In fact, this is the very city where Herod and Pontius
Pilate conspired with the Gentiles and the people of Israel against Your holy servant Jesus, whom You
anointed.
Till another king arose, which knew not Joseph.
Then another king, who knew nothing of Joseph, arose over Egypt.
And the next day he shewed himself unto them as they
strove, and would have set them at one again, saying, Sirs, ye are brethren; why do ye wrong one to
another?
The next day he came upon two Israelites who were fighting, and he tried to
reconcile them, saying, ‘Men, you are brothers. Why are you mistreating each other?’
And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a
Jew to keep company, or come unto one of
another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.
He said to them, “You know how unlawful it is for a
Jew to associate with a foreigner or visit him. But God has shown me that I should not call any man impure or unclean.
How God
anointed Jesus of
Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and
healing all that were
oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
how God
anointed Jesus of
Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how Jesus went around doing good and
healing all who were
oppressed by the devil, because God was with Him.
But he,
beckoning unto them with the hand to hold their peace, declared unto them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison. And he said, Go
shew these things unto James, and to the brethren. And he departed, and went into
another place.
Peter motioned with his hand for silence, and he described how the Lord had brought him out of the prison. “Send word to James and to the brothers,” he said, and he left for another place.
Wherefore he saith also in
another psalm, Thou shalt not suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
So also, He says in
another Psalm: ‘You will not let Your Holy One see decay.’
Whom
Jason hath received: and these all do contrary to the decrees of Caesar, saying that there is
another king, one Jesus.
and
Jason has
welcomed them into his home. They are all
defying Caesar’s decrees, saying that there is
another king, named Jesus!”
Some therefore
cried one thing, and some
another: for the assembly was confused; and the more part knew not wherefore they were come together.
Meanwhile the assembly was in
turmoil. Some were
shouting one thing and some
another, and most of them did not even know why they were there.
So if
Demetrius and his fellow
craftsmen have a
complaint against
anyone, the courts are open and proconsuls are available. Let them bring charges against one
another there.
And when we had taken our leave one of another, we took ship; and they returned home again.
And after we had said our farewells, we went
aboard the ship, and they returned home.
And some
cried one thing, some
another, among the multitude: and when he could not know the certainty for the
tumult, he commanded him to be carried into the castle.
Some in the crowd were
shouting one thing, and some
another. And since the commander could not get at the truth because of the
uproar, he ordered that Paul be brought into the
barracks.
And I said, Lord, they know that I imprisoned and beat in every
synagogue them that believed on thee:
‘Lord,’ I answered, ‘they know very well that in one
synagogue after
another I imprisoned and beat those who believed in You.
And when they were gone aside, they talked between themselves, saying, This man doeth nothing worthy of death or of bonds.
On their way out, they said to one another, “This man has done nothing worthy of death or imprisonment.”
And sounded, and found it twenty fathoms: and when they had gone a little further, they sounded again, and found it fifteen fathoms.
They took
soundings and found that the water was twenty fathoms deep. Going a little farther, they took
another set of
soundings that read fifteen fathoms.
And when the barbarians saw the
venomous beast
hang on his hand, they said among themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped the sea, yet
vengeance suffereth not to live.
When the islanders saw the creature hanging from his hand, they said to one another, “Surely this man is a murderer. Although he was saved from the sea, Justice has not allowed him to live.”
Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
Therefore God gave them over in the desires of their hearts to impurity for the dishonoring of their bodies with one another.
And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their
lust one toward
another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
Likewise, the men abandoned natural relations with women and burned with
lust for one
another. Men committed
indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.
Therefore thou art
inexcusable, O man,
whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest
another, thou condemnest
thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.
You, therefore, have no
excuse, you who pass judgment on
another. For on whatever grounds you judge the other, you are
condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things.
Which
shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while
accusing or else
excusing one
another;)
So they show that the work of the law is written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts either
accusing or defending them
Thou therefore which teachest
another, teachest thou not
thyself? thou that preachest a man should not
steal,
dost thou
steal?
So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to
another man, she shall be called an
adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no
adulteress, though she be married to
another man.
So then, if she is joined to
another man while her husband is still alive, she is called an
adulteress; but if her husband dies, she is free from that law and is not an
adulteress, even if she marries
another man.
Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
Therefore, my brothers, you also died to the law through the body of Christ, that you might belong to another, to Him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit to God.
But I see
another law in my members,
warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
But I see
another law at work in my body,
warring against the law of my mind and holding me
captive to the law of sin that dwells within me.
Hath not the
potter power over the clay, of the same
lump to make one vessel unto honour, and
another unto dishonour?
Does not the
potter have the right to make from the same
lump of clay one vessel for special occasions and
another for common use?
So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
so in Christ we who are many are one body, and each member belongs to one another.
Be kindly affectioned one to
another with brotherly love; in honour
preferring one
another;
Be devoted to one
another in brotherly love.
Outdo yourselves in honoring one
another.
Be of the same mind one toward
another. Mind not high things, but
condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
Live in harmony with one
another. Do not be proud, but enjoy the company of the lowly. Do not be
conceited.
Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.
Be indebted to no one, except to one
another in love. For he who loves his
neighbor has fulfilled the law.
For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs.
For one person has faith to eat all things, while another, who is weak, eats only vegetables.
Who art thou that judgest
another man’s servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth.
Yea, he shall be
holden up: for God is able to make him stand.
Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. And he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.
One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
One person regards a certain day above the others, while someone else considers every day alike. Each one should be fully
convinced in his own mind.
Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way.
Therefore let us stop judging one
another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any
stumbling block or
obstacle in your brother’s way.
Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things
wherewith one may
edify another.
So then, let us pursue what leads to peace and to mutual
edification.
Now the God of
patience and
consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward
another according to Christ Jesus:
Now may the God who gives
endurance and encouragement grant you harmony with one
another in Christ Jesus,
Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.
Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring glory to God.
And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to
admonish one
another.
Yea, so have I
strived to
preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon
another man’s foundation:
In this way I have
aspired to
preach the gospel where Christ was not known, so that I would not be building on someone else’s foundation.
Greet one
another with a holy
kiss. All the churches of Christ send you greetings.
For while one saith, I am of Paul; and
another, I am of Apollos; are ye not
carnal?
For when one of you says, “I follow Paul,” and another, “I follow Apollos,” are you not mere men?
According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and
another buildeth
thereon. But let every man take
heed how he buildeth
thereupon.
By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as an
expert builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one must be careful how he builds.
And these things, brethren, I have in a figure transferred to myself and to Apollos for your sakes; that ye might learn in us not to think of men above that which is written, that no one of you be
puffed up for one against
another.
Brothers, I have applied these things to myself and Apollos for your benefit, so that you may learn from us not to go beyond what is written. Then you will not take pride in one man over another.
For who maketh thee to differ from
another? and what hast thou that thou
didst not receive? now if thou
didst receive it, why
dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?
For who makes you so superior? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you
boast as though you did not?
Dare any of you, having a matter against
another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints?
If any of you has a
grievance against
another, how
dare he go to law before the unrighteous instead of before the saints!
But brother goeth to law with brother, and that before the unbelievers.
Instead, one brother goes to law against another, and this in front of unbelievers!
