cleansed, to make an
atonement for him
before the LORD.
The rest of the oil in his palm, the priest is to put on the head of the one to be
cleansed, to make
atonement for him
before the LORD.

atonement for him that is to be
cleansed before the LORD.

vail before the mercy seat, which is upon the ark; that he die not: for I will appear in the cloud upon the mercy seat.
And the LORD said to Moses: “Tell your brother Aaron not to enter freely into the Most Holy Place behind the
veil in front of the mercy seat on the ark, or else he will die, because I appear in the cloud above the mercy seat.
He shall put on the holy linen coat, and he shall have the linen
breeches upon his flesh, and shall be
girded with a linen
girdle, and with the linen
mitre shall he be
attired: these are holy garments; therefore shall he wash his flesh in water, and so put them on.
He is to wear the sacred linen
tunic, with linen undergarments. He must
tie a linen
sash around him and put on the linen
turban. These are holy garments, and he must
bathe himself with water
before he wears them.

scapegoat into the wilderness.

scapegoat shall be presented alive
before the LORD to make
atonement by sending it into the wilderness as the
scapegoat.
And he shall take a
censer full of burning coals of fire from off the altar
before the LORD, and his hands full of sweet incense beaten small, and bring it within the
vail:
Then he must take a
censer full of burning coals from the altar
before the LORD, and two handfuls of finely ground
fragrant incense, and take them inside the
veil.
And he shall put the incense upon the fire before the LORD, that the cloud of the incense may cover the mercy seat that is upon the testimony, that he die not:
He is to put the incense on the fire before the LORD, and the cloud of incense will cover the mercy seat above the Testimony, so that he will not die.

sprinkle it with his finger upon the mercy seat eastward; and
before the mercy seat shall he
sprinkle of the blood with his finger seven times.

sprinkle it with his finger on the east side of the mercy seat; then he shall
sprinkle some of it with his finger seven times
before the mercy seat.
Then shall he kill the goat of the sin offering, that is for the people, and bring his blood within the
vail, and do with that blood as he did with the blood of the
bullock, and
sprinkle it upon the mercy seat, and
before the mercy seat:
Aaron shall then slaughter the goat for the sin offering for the people and bring its blood behind the
veil, and with its blood he must do as he did with the bull’s blood: He is to
sprinkle it against the mercy seat and in front of it.
And he shall go out unto the altar that is
before the LORD, and make an
atonement for it; and shall take of the blood of the
bullock, and of the blood of the goat, and put it upon the horns of the altar round about.
Then he shall go out to the altar that is
before the LORD and make
atonement for it. He is to take some of the bull’s blood and some of the goat’s blood and put it on all the horns of the altar.

For on that day shall the priest make an
atonement for you, to
cleanse you, that ye may be clean from all your sins
before the LORD.
because on this day
atonement will be made for you to
cleanse you, and you will be clean from all your sins
before the LORD.
And bringeth it not unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, to offer an offering unto the LORD before the tabernacle of the LORD; blood shall be imputed unto that man; he hath shed blood; and that man shall be cut off from among his people:
instead of bringing it to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting to present it as an offering to the LORD
before His tabernacle—that man shall
incur bloodguilt. He has shed blood and must be cut off from among his people.
Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to
defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand
before a beast to lie down
thereto: it is confusion.
Defile not ye
yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are
defiled which I cast out
before you:
Do not
defile yourselves by any of these practices, for by all these things the nations I am driving out
before you have
defiled themselves.
(For all these abominations have the men of the land done, which were
before you, and the land is
defiled;)
For the men who were in the land
before you committed all these abominations, and the land has become
defiled.
That the land
spue not you out also, when ye
defile it, as it spued out the nations that were
before you.
So if you
defile the land, it will
vomit you out as it
spewed out the nations
before you.
Therefore shall ye keep mine
ordinance, that ye commit not any one of these
abominable customs, which were committed
before you, and that ye
defile not
yourselves therein: I am the LORD your God.
You must keep My charge not to practice any of the
abominable customs that were practiced
before you, so that you do not
defile yourselves by them. I am the LORD your God.”
Thou shalt not
curse the
deaf, nor put a stumblingblock
before the blind, but shalt fear thy God: I am the LORD.
You must not
curse the
deaf or place a
stumbling block
before the blind, but you shall fear your God. I am the LORD.
And the priest shall make an
atonement for him with the ram of the
trespass offering
before the LORD for his sin which he hath done: and the sin which he hath done shall be
forgiven him.
The priest shall make
atonement on his behalf
before the LORD with the ram of the guilt offering for the sin he has committed, and he will be
forgiven the sin he has committed.
Thou shalt rise up
before the
hoary head, and honour the face of the old man, and fear thy God: I am the LORD.
You are to rise in the presence of the elderly, honor the aged, and fear your God. I am the LORD.
And ye shall not walk in the manners of the nation, which I cast out
before you: for they committed all these things, and therefore I
abhorred them.
You must not follow the statutes of the nations I am driving out
before you. Because they did all these things, I
abhorred them.
And he shall wave the
sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the
morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it.
And he shall wave the
sheaf before the LORD so that it may be accepted on your behalf; the priest is to wave it on the day after the Sabbath.
And the priest shall wave them with the bread of the first fruits for a wave offering before the LORD, with the two lambs: they shall be holy to the LORD for the priest.
The priest is to wave the lambs as a wave offering before the LORD, together with the bread of the firstfruits. The bread and the two lambs shall be holy to the LORD for the priest.
And ye shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of
atonement, to make an
atonement for you
before the LORD your God.
On this day you are not to do any work, for it is the Day of
Atonement, when
atonement is made for you
before the LORD your God.
And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the
brook; and ye shall
rejoice before the LORD your God seven days.
On the first day you are to gather the fruit of
majestic trees, the branches of palm trees, and the boughs of
leafy trees and of willows of the
brook. And you are to
rejoice before the LORD your God for seven days.
Without the
vail of the testimony, in the tabernacle of the congregation, shall Aaron order it from the evening unto the morning
before the LORD continually: it shall be a statute for ever in your generations.
Outside the
veil of the Testimony in the Tent of Meeting, Aaron is to tend the lamps continually
before the LORD from evening until morning. This is to be a permanent statute for the generations to come.
He shall order the lamps upon the pure
candlestick before the LORD continually.
He shall tend the lamps on the pure gold lampstand before the LORD continually.
And thou shalt set them in two rows, six on a row, upon the pure table before the LORD.
and set them in two rows—six per row—on the table of pure gold before the LORD.
Every sabbath he shall set it in order
before the LORD continually, being taken from the children of Israel by an
everlasting covenant.
Every Sabbath day the bread is to be set out before the LORD on behalf of the Israelites as a permanent covenant.
And ye shall
chase your enemies, and they shall fall
before you by the sword.
You will pursue your enemies, and they will fall by the sword before you.
And five of you shall
chase an hundred, and an hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight: and your enemies shall fall
before you by the sword.
Five of you will pursue a hundred, and a hundred of you will pursue ten thousand, and your enemies will fall by the sword before you.
And I will set my face against you, and ye shall be slain
before your enemies: they that
hate you shall reign over you; and ye shall
flee when none pursueth you.
And I will set My face against you, so that you will be defeated by your enemies. Those who
hate you will rule over you, and you will
flee when no one pursues you.
And they shall fall one upon another, as it were before a sword, when none pursueth: and ye shall have no power to stand before your enemies.
They will
stumble over one another as
before the sword, though no one is behind them. So you will not be able to stand against your enemies.
But if he be poorer than thy
estimation, then he shall present himself
before the priest, and the priest shall value him; according to his ability that
vowed shall the priest value him.
But if the one making the
vow is too poor to pay the
valuation, he is to present the person
before the priest, who shall set the value according to what the one making the
vow can afford.
And if it be any unclean beast, of which they do not offer a sacrifice unto the LORD, then he shall present the beast before the priest:
But if the
vow involves any of the unclean animals that may not be brought as an offering to the LORD, the animal must be presented
before the priest.
And
Nadab and
Abihu died
before the LORD, when they offered strange fire
before the LORD, in the wilderness of
Sinai, and they had no children: and
Eleazar and
Ithamar ministered in the priest’s office in the sight of Aaron their father.
Nadab and
Abihu, however, died in the presence of the LORD when they offered unauthorized fire
before the LORD in the Wilderness of
Sinai. And since they had no sons, only
Eleazar and
Ithamar served as priests during the lifetime of their father Aaron.
Bring the tribe of Levi near, and present them before Aaron the priest, that they may minister unto him.
“Bring the tribe of Levi and present them to Aaron the priest to assist him.
And they shall keep his charge, and the charge of the whole congregation before the tabernacle of the congregation, to do the service of the tabernacle.
They are to perform duties for him and for the whole congregation before the Tent of Meeting, attending to the service of the tabernacle.
But those that
encamp before the tabernacle toward the east, even
before the tabernacle of the congregation eastward, shall be Moses, and Aaron and his sons, keeping the charge of the sanctuary for the charge of the children of Israel; and the stranger that cometh
nigh shall be put to death.
Moses, Aaron, and Aaron’s sons were to camp to the east of the tabernacle, toward the
sunrise,
before the Tent of Meeting. They were to perform the duties of the sanctuary as a service on behalf of the Israelites; but any outsider who approached the sanctuary was to be put to death.
And the priest shall bring her near, and set her before the LORD:
The priest is to bring the wife forward and have her stand before the LORD.
And the priest shall set the woman
before the LORD, and uncover the woman’s head, and put the offering of
memorial in her hands, which is the jealousy offering: and the priest shall have in his hand the bitter water that causeth the
curse:
After the priest has the woman stand
before the LORD, he is to let down her hair and place in her hands the grain offering of
memorial, which is the grain offering for jealousy. The priest is to hold the bitter water that brings a
curse.
Then the priest shall take the jealousy offering out of the woman’s hand, and shall wave the offering before the LORD, and offer it upon the altar:
The priest shall take from her hand the grain offering for jealousy, wave it before the LORD, and bring it to the altar.
Or when the spirit of jealousy cometh upon him, and he be
jealous over his wife, and shall set the woman
before the LORD, and the priest shall
execute upon her all this law.
or when a feeling of jealousy comes over a husband and he suspects his wife. He is to have the woman stand before the LORD, and the priest is to apply to her this entire law.
And he shall
consecrate unto the LORD the days of his separation, and shall bring a lamb of the first year for a
trespass offering: but the days that were
before shall be lost, because his separation was
defiled.
He must rededicate his time of separation to the LORD and bring a year-old male lamb as a guilt offering. But the preceding days shall not be counted, because his separation was
defiled.
And the priest shall bring them before the LORD, and shall offer his sin offering, and his burnt offering:
The priest is to present all these before the LORD and make the sin offering and the burnt offering.
And the priest shall wave them for a wave offering
before the LORD: this is holy for the priest, with the wave breast and
heave shoulder: and after that the
Nazarite may drink wine.
The priest shall then wave them as a wave offering
before the LORD. This is a holy portion for the priest, in addition to the breast of the wave offering and the
thigh that was presented. After that, the
Nazirite may drink wine.
And they brought their offering
before the LORD, six covered wagons, and twelve oxen; a
wagon for two of the princes, and for each one an ox: and they brought them
before the tabernacle.
They brought as their offering
before the LORD six covered carts and twelve oxen—an ox from each leader and a
cart from every two leaders—and presented them
before the tabernacle.
And the princes offered for
dedicating of the altar in the day that it was
anointed, even the princes offered their offering

And thou shalt bring the Levites before the tabernacle of the congregation: and thou shalt gather the whole assembly of the children of Israel together:
Bring the Levites
before the Tent of Meeting and
assemble the whole congregation of Israel.
And thou shalt bring the Levites before the LORD: and the children of Israel shall put their hands upon the Levites:
You are to present the Levites before the LORD and have the Israelites lay their hands upon them.
And Aaron shall offer the Levites
before the LORD for an offering of the children of Israel, that they may
execute the service of the LORD.
Aaron is to present the Levites before the LORD as a wave offering from the sons of Israel, so that they may perform the service of the LORD.
And thou shalt set the Levites before Aaron, and before his sons, and offer them for an offering unto the LORD.
You are to have the Levites stand before Aaron and his sons and then present them before the LORD as a wave offering.
And the Levites were
purified, and they washed their clothes; and Aaron offered them as an offering
before the LORD; and Aaron made an
atonement for them to
cleanse them.
The Levites
purified themselves and washed their clothes, and Aaron presented them as a wave offering
before the LORD. Aaron also made
atonement for them to
cleanse them.
And after that went the Levites in to do their service in the tabernacle of the congregation before Aaron, and before his sons: as the LORD had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did they unto them.
After that, the Levites came to perform their service at the Tent of Meeting in the presence of Aaron and his sons. Thus they did with the Levites just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
And there were certain men, who were
defiled by the dead body of a man, that they could not keep the
passover on that day: and they came
before Moses and
before Aaron on that day:
But there were some men who were unclean due to a dead body, so they could not observe the
Passover on that day. And they came
before Moses and Aaron that same day
