favor in your eyes, for you have comforted and spoken kindly to your

But David again
vowed, “Your father knows very well that I have found

yourself live, there is but a step between me and death.”

adversary to us: for
wherewith should he
reconcile himself unto his master? should it not be with the heads of these men?
But the commanders of the Philistines were
angry with Achish and told him, “Send that man back and let him return to the place you assigned him. He must not go down with us into battle only to become our
adversary during the war. What better way for him to regain the
favor of his master than with the heads of our men?

But you have no favor in the sight of the leaders.

instructed him, “Behold, with one
accord the words of the prophets are
favorable to the king. So please let your words be like theirs, and speak
favorably.”

purification, with such things as belonged to her, and seven maidens, which were meet to be given her, out of the king’s house: and he preferred her and her maids unto the best place of the house of the women.

Now when the turn of
Esther, the daughter of Abihail the uncle of
Mordecai, who had taken her for his daughter, was come to go in unto the king, she required nothing but what Hegai the king’s
chamberlain, the keeper of the women, appointed. And
Esther obtained favour in the sight of all them that looked upon her.
Now
Esther was the daughter of Abihail, the uncle from whom
Mordecai had adopted her as his own daughter. And when it was her turn to go to the king, she did not ask for anything except what Hegai, the king’s trusted official in charge of the
harem, had
advised. And

favor in the eyes of
everyone who saw her.
And the king loved
Esther above all the women, and she obtained grace and favour in his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti.

favor in his sight more than all of the other virgins. So he placed the royal crown upon her head and made her queen in place of Vashti.
Also he gave him the copy of the writing of the decree that was given at
Shushan to destroy them, to
shew it unto
Esther, and to declare it unto her, and to charge her that she should go in unto the king, to make
supplication unto him, and to make request before him for her people.
Mordecai also gave Hathach a copy of the written decree issued in
Susa for the destruction of the Jews, to show and explain to
Esther,
urging her to approach the king,
implore his
favor, and
plead before him for her people.
And it was so, when the king saw
Esther the queen standing in the court, that she obtained favour in his sight: and the king held out to
Esther the golden
sceptre that was in his hand. So
Esther drew near, and touched the top of the
sceptre.
As soon as the king saw Queen
Esther standing in the court, she found
favor in his sight. The king extended the gold
scepter in his hand toward
Esther, and she approached and touched the

scepter.
If I have found favour in the sight of the king, and if it please the king to grant my petition, and to perform my request, let the king and
Haman come to the
banquet that I shall prepare for them, and I will do to
morrow as the king hath said.
If I have found
favor in the sight of the king, and if it pleases the king to grant my petition and
fulfill my request, may the king and
Haman come
tomorrow to the
banquet I will prepare for them. Then I will answer the king’s question.”
Then
Esther the queen answered and said, If I have found favour in thy sight, O king, and if it please the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my request:
Queen

Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, which he wrote to destroy the Jews which are in all the king’s provinces:
“If it pleases the king,” she said, “and if I have found
favor in his sight, and the matter seems proper to the king, and I am pleasing in his sight, may an order be written to
revoke the letters that the scheming
Haman son of Hammedatha, the Agagite, wrote to destroy the Jews in all the king’s provinces.
For
Mordecai the
Jew was next unto king
Ahasuerus, and great among the Jews, and accepted of the multitude of his brethren, seeking the wealth of his people, and speaking peace to all his seed.
For
Mordecai the
Jew was second only to King
Xerxes, preeminent among the Jews and highly
favored by his many
kinsmen, seeking the good of his people and speaking peace to all his countrymen.
Is it good unto thee that thou shouldest
oppress, that thou shouldest
despise the work of thine hands, and
shine upon the counsel of the wicked?
Does it please You to
oppress me, to
reject the work of Your hands and
favor the schemes of the wicked?
Also thou shalt lie down, and none shall make thee afraid;
yea, many shall make suit unto thee.
You will lie down without fear, and many will court your favor.
His children shall seek to please the poor, and his hands shall restore their goods.
His sons will seek the favor of the poor, for his own hands must return his wealth.
So that his life abhorreth bread, and his soul
dainty meat.
so that he detests his bread, and his soul loathes his
favorite food.
He shall pray unto God, and he will be favourable unto him: and he shall see his face with joy: for he will render unto man his righteousness.
He prays to God and finds favor; he sees God’s face and shouts for joy, and God restores His righteousness to that man.
How much less to him that accepteth not the persons of princes, nor regardeth the rich more than the poor? for they all are the work of his hands.
who is not partial to princes and does not favor rich over poor? For they are all the work of His hands.
For thou, LORD,
wilt bless the righteous; with favour
wilt thou compass him as with a shield.
For surely You, O LORD,
bless the righteous; You
surround them with the shield of Your
favor.
Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice;
Selah.
May He remember all your gifts and look
favorably on your burnt offerings.
Selah For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life:
weeping may
endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
For His anger is fleeting, but His
favor lasts a lifetime.
Weeping may stay the night, but joy comes in the morning.
LORD, by thy favour thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: thou
didst hide thy face, and I was troubled.
O LORD, You
favored me; You made my mountain stand strong. When You
hid Your face, I was dismayed.
Let them
shout for joy, and be
glad, that favour my righteous cause:
yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be
magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.
For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them.
For it was not by their sword that they took the land; their arm did not bring them victory. It was by Your right hand, Your arm, and the light of Your face, because You favored them.
And the daughter of Tyre shall be there with a gift; even the rich among the people shall intreat thy favour.
The Daughter of Tyre will come with a gift; men of wealth will seek your favor.
But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O LORD, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation.
But my prayer to You, O LORD, is for a time of favor. In Your abundant loving devotion, O God, answer me with Your sure salvation.
Will the Lord cast off for ever? and will he be favourable no more?
“Will the Lord
spurn us
forever and never show His
favor again?
Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine
anointed.
Take notice of our shield, O God, and look with
favor on the face of Your
anointed.
LORD, thou hast been favourable unto thy land: thou hast brought back the captivity of Jacob.
You showed favor to Your land, O LORD; You restored Jacob from captivity.
For thou art the glory of their strength: and in thy favour our horn shall be
exalted.
For You are the glory of their strength, and by Your
favor our horn is
exalted.
And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us;
yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.
May the
favor of the Lord our God rest upon us; establish for us the work of our hands—
yes, establish the work of our hands!
Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me.
My eyes
favor the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me; he who walks in the way of
integrity shall minister to me.
Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon
Zion: for the time to favour her,
yea, the set time, is come.
You will rise up and have
compassion on
Zion, for it is time to show her
favor— the appointed time has come.
Remember me, O LORD, with the favour that thou bearest unto thy people: O visit me with thy salvation;
Remember me, O LORD, in Your favor to Your people; visit me with Your salvation,
Let there be none to extend mercy unto him: neither let there be any to favour his fatherless children.
May there be no one to extend kindness to him, and no one to favor his fatherless children.
I am for peace: but when I speak, they are for war.
I am in favor of peace; but when I speak, they want war.
So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.
Then you will find favor and high regard in the sight of God and man.
For
whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD.
For
whoever finds me finds life and obtains the
favor of the LORD.
He that
diligently seeketh good procureth favour: but he that seeketh mischief, it shall come unto him.
He who searches out good finds favor, but evil will come to him who seeks it.
