hold his peace at her: then all her vows shall stand, and every bond
wherewith she hath bound her soul shall stand.

prophesied inside the house while David played the

hold up my face to

When one told me, saying, Behold, Saul is dead, thinking to have brought good
tidings, I took
hold of him, and
slew him in
Ziklag, who thought that I would have given him a reward for his

mule that was under him went away.

impute iniquity unto me, neither do thou remember that which thy servant did
perversely the day that my lord the king went out of Jerusalem, that the king should take it to his heart.

hold on the horns of the altar, saying, Let king Solomon
swear unto me to day that he will not
slay his servant with the sword.
It was reported to Solomon: “Behold, Adonijah fears King Solomon, and he has taken
hold of the horns of the altar, saying, ‘Let King Solomon first
swear to me not to put his servant to the sword.’”
Now therefore
hold him not guiltless: for thou art a wise man, and knowest what thou oughtest to do unto him; but his
hoar head bring thou down to the grave with blood.
Now therefore, do not
hold him guiltless, for you are a wise man. You know what you ought to do to him to bring his gray head down to

tidings came to

laver.

And they shall answer, Because they
forsook the LORD their God, who brought forth their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and have taken
hold upon other gods, and have worshipped them, and served them: therefore hath the LORD brought upon them all this evil.

forsaken the LORD their God who brought their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and have embraced other gods, worshiping and serving them—because of this, the LORD has brought all this
disaster upon them.’”

hold on him. And his hand, which he put forth against him, dried up, so that he could not pull it in again to him.
Now when King
Jeroboam, who was at the altar in
Bethel, heard the word that the man of God had
cried out against it, he stretched out his hand and said, “Seize him!” But the hand he stretched out toward him
withered, so that he could not pull it back.
