housetops.

After the master of the
house gets up and shuts the door, you will stand outside
knocking and saying, ‘Lord, open the door for us.’ But he will reply, ‘I do not know where you are from.’

house is left unto you

The servant returned and reported all this to his master. Then the owner of the
house became
angry and said to his servant, ‘Go out quickly into the streets and
alleys of the city, and bring in the poor, the

sweep her
house, and search carefully until she finds it?

retrieve his possessions. Likewise, let no one in the field return for anything he has left behind.
I tell you, this man went down to his
house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be
abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be
exalted.
I tell you, this man, rather than the

everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be
exalted.”
And he said unto them,
Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left

house, and comforted her, when they saw Mary, that she rose up
hastily and went out, followed her, saying, She goeth unto the grave to
weep there.
When the Jews who were in the

mourn there.
In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

accord in the temple, and breaking bread from

With one
accord they continued to meet daily in the temple courts and to break bread from
house to
house, sharing their meals with
gladness and
sincerity of heart,

There were no
needy ones among them, because those who owned lands or
houses would sell their property, bring the proceeds from the sales,

footstool. What kind of
house will you build for Me, says the Lord, or where will My place of
repose be?

house of
Judas on Straight Street and ask for a man from
Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying.

Ananias went his way, and entered into the
house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost.
So
Ananias went to the
house, and when he arrived, he placed his hands on Saul. “Brother Saul,” he said, “the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here, has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”
A

On the
morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew

Now while Peter doubted in himself what this vision which he had seen should mean, behold, the men which were sent from

enquiry for Simon’s
house, and stood before the gate,
While Peter was
puzzling over the meaning of the vision, the men sent by
Cornelius found Simon’s
house and approached the gate.
And they said,
Cornelius the
centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was
warned from God by an holy angel to send for thee into his
house, and to hear words of thee.

Send therefore to
Joppa, and call
hither Simon, whose
surname is Peter; he is
lodged in the
house of one Simon a
tanner by the sea side: who, when he cometh, shall speak unto thee.
Therefore send to
Joppa for Simon, who is called Peter. He is a
guest in the home of Simon the
tanner, by the sea.’
And, behold, immediately there were three men already come unto the house where I was, sent from Caesarea unto me.
Just then three men sent to me from Caesarea stopped at the house where I was staying.
And the spirit
bade me go with them, nothing doubting. Moreover these six brethren accompanied me, and we entered into the man’s
house:
The Spirit told me to
accompany them without
hesitation. These six brothers also went with me, and we entered the man’s home.
And he shewed us how he had seen an angel in his
house, which stood and said unto him, Send men to
Joppa, and call for Simon, whose
surname is Peter;
He told us how he had seen an angel standing in his
house and saying, ‘Send to
Joppa for Simon who is called Peter.
Who shall tell thee words, whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved.
He will convey to you a message by which you and all your household will be saved.’

baptized, and her
household, she
besought us, saying, If ye have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my

household had been
baptized, she urged us, “If you consider me a believer in the Lord, come and stay at my

jailer took them and washed their wounds. And without delay, he and all his
household were
baptized.
And when he had brought them into his
house, he set meat before them, and
rejoiced, believing in God with all his
house.
Then he brought them into his home and set a meal before them. So he and all his
household rejoiced that they had come to believe in God.
And they went out of the prison, and entered into the
house of

encourage them. Then they left the city.

envy, took unto them certain
lewd fellows of the baser sort, and gathered a company, and set all the city on an
uproar, and
assaulted the
house of
Jason, and sought to bring them out to the people.
The Jews, however, became
jealous. So they brought in some troublemakers from the marketplace, formed a
mob, and sent the city into an
uproar. They
raided Jason’s
house in search of Paul and
Silas, hoping to bring them out to the people.
And he departed thence, and entered into a certain man’s

And Crispus, the chief ruler of the
synagogue, believed on the Lord with all his

household believed in the Lord. And many of the
Corinthians who heard the message believed and were
baptized.
And the man in whom the evil spirit was
leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that
house naked and wounded.
Then the man with the evil spirit
jumped on them and overpowered them all. The attack was so violent that they ran out of the
house naked and wounded.

I did not
shrink back from declaring anything that was helpful to you as I taught you publicly and from
house to
house,
And the next day we that were of Paul’s company departed, and came unto Caesarea: and we entered into the
house of Philip the
evangelist, which was one of the seven; and abode with him.

Likewise
greet the church that is in their
house.
Salute my wellbeloved Epaenetus, who is the firstfruits of
Achaia unto Christ.
Greet also the church that meets at their
house.
Greet my beloved Epenetus, who was the first convert to Christ in the province of Asia.
For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.
My brothers, some from Chloe’s household have informed me that there are quarrels among you.
And I
baptized also the
household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I
baptized any other.
What? have ye not
houses to eat and to drink in? or
despise ye the church of God, and shame them that have not? What shall I say to you? shall I praise you in this? I praise you not.
Don’t you have your own homes in which to eat and drink? Or do you
despise the church of God and
humiliate those who have nothing? What can I say to you? Shall I praise you for this? No, I will not!
I
beseech you, brethren, (ye know the
house of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of
Achaia, and that they have
addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints,)
You know that Stephanas and his
household were the first converts in
Achaia, and they have devoted themselves to the service of the saints. Now I
urge you, brothers,
The churches in the province of Asia send you greetings.
Aquila and Prisca
greet you warmly in the Lord, and so does the church that meets at their
house.
For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
Now we know that if the earthly tent we live in is
dismantled, we have a building from God, an eternal
house in heaven, not built by human hands.
For in this we
groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our
house which is from heaven:
For in this tent we
groan, longing to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling,
As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to
everyone, and especially to the family of faith.
