Naphtali is a hind let
loose: he giveth goodly words.
The rings of the breastpiece shall be
tied to the rings of the
ephod with a cord of blue yarn, so that the breastpiece is above the
waistband of the
ephod and does not
swing out from the
ephod.
And they did bind the
breastplate by his rings unto the rings of the
ephod with a lace of blue, that it might be above the curious
girdle of the
ephod, and that the
breastplate might not be
loosed from the
ephod; as the LORD commanded Moses.
Then they
tied the rings of the breastpiece to the rings of the
ephod with a cord of blue yarn, so that the breastpiece was above the
waistband of the
ephod and would not
swing out from the
ephod, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
And the
leper in whom the plague is, his clothes shall be rent, and his head bare, and he shall put a covering upon his upper
lip, and shall cry, Unclean, unclean.
A diseased person must wear
torn clothes and let his hair
hang loose, and he must cover his mouth and cry out, ‘Unclean, unclean!’
And he shall
sprinkle upon him that is to be
cleansed from the
leprosy seven times, and shall
pronounce him clean, and shall let the living bird
loose into the open field.
Seven times he shall
sprinkle the one to be
cleansed of the skin disease. Then he shall
pronounce him clean and release the live bird into the open field.
And he that is the high priest among his brethren, upon whose head the
anointing oil was poured, and that is consecrated to put on the garments, shall not uncover his head, nor
rend his clothes;

anointing oil poured on his head and has been ordained to wear the priestly garments, must not let his hair
hang loose or
tear his garments.
Then shall his brother’s wife come unto him in the presence of the elders, and
loose his
shoe from off his foot, and
spit in his face, and shall answer and say, So shall it be done unto that man that will not build up his brother’s house.
his brother’s widow shall go up to him in the presence of the elders, remove his
sandal,
spit in his face, and declare, “This is what is done to the man who will not maintain his brother’s line.”
And his name shall be called in Israel, The house of him that hath his
shoe loosed.
And his family name in Israel will be called “The House of the
Unsandaled.”
And the captain of the LORD’S host said unto Joshua,
Loose thy
shoe from off thy foot; for the place
whereon thou standest is holy. And Joshua did so.

And when he came unto Lehi, the Philistines
shouted against him: and the Spirit of the LORD came
mightily upon him, and the cords that were upon his arms became as flax that was burnt with fire, and his bands
loosed from off his hands.
When
Samson arrived in Lehi, the Philistines came out
shouting against him. And the Spirit of the LORD came
mightily upon him. The ropes on his arms became like burnt flax, and the bonds broke
loose from his hands.
Even that it would please God to destroy me; that he would let loose his hand, and cut me off!
that God would be willing to
crush me, to
unleash His hand and cut me off!
He
looseth the bond of kings, and girdeth their loins with a
girdle.
He loosens the bonds placed by kings and fastens a belt around their waists.
Because he hath
loosed my cord, and
afflicted me, they have also let
loose the
bridle before me.
Because God has unstrung my bow and
afflicted me, they have cast off restraint in my presence.
Terrors are turned upon me: they pursue my soul as the wind: and my
welfare passeth away as a cloud.
Terrors are turned loose against me; they drive away my dignity as by the wind, and my prosperity has passed like a cloud.
Canst thou bind the sweet influences of
Pleiades, or
loose the bands of
Orion?
Who hath sent out the wild

loosed the bands of the wild
ass?
To hear the
groaning of the prisoner; to
loose those that are appointed to death;
to hear a prisoner’s
groaning, to release those condemned to death,
The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go free.
The king sent and released him; the ruler of peoples set him free.
O LORD, truly I am thy servant; I am thy servant, and the son of thine
handmaid: thou hast
loosed my bonds.
Truly, O LORD, I am Your servant; I am Your servant, the son of Your
maidservant; You have broken my bonds.
Which executeth judgment for the
oppressed: which giveth food to the
hungry. The LORD
looseth the prisoners:
He executes justice for the
oppressed and gives food to the
hungry. The LORD sets the prisoners free,
Or ever the silver cord be
loosed, or the golden
bowl be broken, or the pitcher be broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the
cistern.
Remember Him before the silver cord is
snapped and the golden
bowl is
crushed, before the pitcher is
shattered at the spring and the wheel is broken at the well,
None of them grows
weary or stumbles; no one slumbers or sleeps. No belt is
loose and no
sandal strap is broken.
At the same time spake the LORD by Isaiah the son of Amoz, saying, Go and
loose the
sackcloth from off thy loins, and put off thy
shoe from thy foot. And he did so, walking naked and
barefoot.
the LORD had already spoken through Isaiah son of Amoz, saying, “Go, remove the
sackcloth from your
waist and the
sandals from your feet.” And Isaiah did so, walking around naked and
barefoot.
Thy tacklings are
loosed; they could not well
strengthen their mast, they could not spread the sail: then is the prey of a great
spoil divided; the
lame take the prey.
Your ropes are
slack; they cannot secure the mast or spread the sail. Then an abundance of spoils will be divided, and even the
lame will carry off
plunder.
Thus saith the LORD to his
anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have
holden, to
subdue nations before him; and I will
loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut;
This is what the LORD says to Cyrus His
anointed, whose right hand I have
grasped to
subdue nations before him, to disarm kings, to open the doors before him, so that the gates will not be shut:
The
captive exile hasteneth that he may be
loosed, and that he should not die in the pit, nor that his bread should fail.
The
captive will soon be freed; he will not die in the
dungeon, and his bread will not be lacking.
Shake off your dust! Rise up and sit on your throne, O Jerusalem. Remove the chains from your neck, O
captive Daughter of
Zion.
Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to
loose the bands of wickedness, to
undo the heavy burdens, and to let the
oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?
Isn’t this the fast that I have chosen: to break the chains of wickedness, to
untie the cords of the yoke, to set the
oppressed free and
tear off every yoke?
And now, behold, I
loose thee this day from the chains which were upon thine hand. If it seem good unto thee to come with me into Babylon, come; and I will look well unto thee: but if it seem ill unto thee to come with me into Babylon,
forbear: behold, all the land is before thee:
whither it seemeth good and convenient for thee to go, thither go.
But now, behold, I am freeing you
today from the chains that were on your wrists. If it pleases you to come with me to Babylon, then come, and I will take care of you. But if it seems wrong to you to come with me to Babylon, go no farther. Look, the whole land is before you. Wherever it seems good and right to you, go there.”
He answered and said, Lo, I see four men
loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no
hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.
“Look!” he
exclaimed. “I see four men, unbound and
unharmed, walking around in the fire—and the fourth looks like a son of the gods!”
Then the king’s countenance was changed, and his thoughts troubled him, so that the joints of his loins were
loosed, and his knees
smote one against another.

alarmed him that his hips gave way and his knees
knocked together.
And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and
whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and
whatsoever thou shalt
loose on earth shall be
loosed in heaven.
I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
Verily I say unto you,
Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and
whatsoever ye shall
loose on earth shall be
loosed in heaven.
Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.

colt with her:
loose them, and bring them unto me.
saying to them, “Go into the village
ahead of you, and at once you will find a
donkey tied there, with her
colt beside her.
Untie them and bring them to Me.
And
straightway his ears were opened, and the string of his tongue was
loosed, and he spake plain.
Immediately the man’s ears were opened and his tongue was released, and he began to speak plainly.
And saith unto them, Go your way into the village over against you: and as soon as ye be entered into it, ye shall find a
colt tied,
whereon never man sat;
loose him, and bring him.
and said to them, “Go into the village
ahead of you, and as soon as you enter it, you will find a
colt tied there, on which no one has ever sat.
Untie it and bring it here.
And they went their way, and found the
colt tied by the door without in a place where two ways met; and they
loose him.

loosing the
colt?

colt?”

loosed from thine

The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou
hypocrite,
doth not each one of you on the sabbath
loose his ox or his
ass from the
stall, and lead him away to watering?
“You hypocrites!” the Lord replied. “Does not each of you on the Sabbath
untie his ox or
donkey from the
stall and lead it to water?
And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom
Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be
loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?
Then should not this daughter of Abraham, whom
Satan has kept bound for eighteen long years, be released from her
bondage on the Sabbath day?”
Saying, Go ye into the village over against you; in the which at your entering ye shall find a
colt tied,
whereon yet never man sat:
loose him, and bring him
hither.
saying, “Go into the village
ahead of you, and as you enter it, you will find a
colt tied there, on which no one has ever sat.
Untie it and bring it here.
And if any man ask you, Why do ye loose him? thus shall ye say unto him, Because the Lord hath need of him.
If
anyone asks, ‘Why are you untying it?’ tell him, ‘The Lord needs it.’”

loosing the
colt, the owners thereof said unto them, Why
loose ye the
colt?
As they were untying the
colt, its owners asked, “Why are you untying the
colt?”
And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with
graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a
napkin. Jesus saith unto them,
Loose him, and let him go.

wrapped in a cloth. “
Unwrap him and let him go,” Jesus told them.
Whom God hath raised up, having
loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be
holden of it.
But God raised Him from the dead, releasing Him from the
agony of death, because it was impossible for Him to be held in its
clutches.
Now when Paul and his company
loosed from
Paphos, they came to Perga in
Pamphylia: and John departing from them returned to Jerusalem.
After setting sail from
Paphos, Paul and his companions came to Perga in
Pamphylia, where John left them to return to Jerusalem.
And as John fulfilled his course, he said, Whom think ye that I am? I am not he. But, behold, there cometh one after me, whose
shoes of his feet I am not worthy to
loose.
As John was completing his course, he said, ‘Who do you suppose I am? I am not that One. But He is coming after me whose
sandals I am not worthy to
untie.’

loosing from
Troas, we came with a straight course to Samothracia, and the next day to Neapolis;

morrow, because he would have known the certainty wherefore he was accused of the Jews, he
loosed him from his bands, and commanded the chief priests and all their council to appear, and brought Paul down, and set him before them.

Sanhedrin to
assemble. Then he brought Paul down and had him stand before them.

And when the south wind
blew softly, supposing that they had obtained their purpose,
loosing thence, they sailed close by
Crete.
When a gentle south wind began to blow, they thought they had their opportunity. So they
weighed anchor and sailed along,
hugging the coast of
Crete.
But after long
abstinence Paul stood forth in the midst of them, and said, Sirs, ye should have
hearkened unto me, and not have
loosed from
Crete, and to have gained this
harm and loss.
After the men had gone a long time without food, Paul stood up among them and said, “Men, you should have followed my advice not to sail from
Crete. Then you would have
averted this
disaster and loss.
And when they had taken up the anchors, they committed themselves unto the sea, and
loosed the
rudder bands, and hoised up the
mainsail to the wind, and made toward shore.

hoisted the
foresail to the wind and made for the
beach.

Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to

scroll and its seven seals.”

saying to the sixth angel with the
trumpet, “Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.”

And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should
deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be
loosed a little season.

Abyss, shut it, and sealed it over him, so that he could not
deceive the nations until the thousand years were complete. After that, he must be released for a brief period of time.

expired,

girt and bound together in a building cannot be
loosed with
shaking: so the heart that is stablished by
advised counsel shall fear at no time.
