Forbid him not: for there is no
man which shall do a

And the
Pharisees came to him, and asked him, Is it lawful for a
man to put away his wife?
tempting him.
Some
Pharisees came to test Him. “Is it lawful for a
man to
divorce his wife?” they inquired.
And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of
divorcement, and to put her away.
They answered, “Moses permitted a
man to write his wife a
certificate of
divorce and send her away.”
For this cause shall a
man leave his father and mother, and
cleave to his wife;
‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife,
What therefore God hath joined together, let not
man put
asunder.
Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.”
And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth
adultery.
And if a woman divorces her husband and marries another
man, she commits
adultery.”
And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and
kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may
inherit eternal life?
As Jesus started on His way, a
man ran up and
knelt before Him. “Good Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to
inherit eternal life?”
And he was
sad at that saying, and went away
grieved: for he had great possessions.

It is easier for a
camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich
man to enter into the kingdom of God.

man to enter the kingdom of God.”

Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and
scribes. They will
condemn Him to death and will deliver Him over to the Gentiles,
For even the Son of
man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a
ransom for
many.
For even the Son of
Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a
ransom for
many.”
And
many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he

And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.

And Jesus answered and said unto him, What

ahead of you, and as soon as you enter it, you will find a
colt tied there, on which no one has ever sat.
Untie it and bring it here.
And if any
man say unto you, Why do ye this? say ye that the Lord hath need of him; and

hedge about it, and
digged a place for the winefat, and built a tower, and let it out to
husbandmen, and went into a far country.
Then Jesus began to speak to them in parables: “A
man planted a
vineyard. He put a wall around it,
dug a wine
vat, and built a
watchtower. Then he rented it out to some tenants and went away on a journey.

discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no

dared to question Him any further.

And as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples saith unto him, Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here!
As Jesus was leaving the temple, one of His disciples said to Him, “Teacher, look at the magnificent stones and buildings!”
And Jesus answering them began to say, Take
heed lest any
man deceive you:
Jesus began by telling them, “See to it that no one deceives you.
For
many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall
deceive many.
Many will come in My name, claiming, ‘I am He,’ and will
deceive many.
And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not:
At that time if
anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There He is!’ do not believe it.
And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
So ye in like
manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is
nigh, even at the doors.
So also, when you see these things happening, know that He is near, right at the door.
But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.
No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.
It is like a
man going on a journey who left his house, put each servant in charge of his own task, and
instructed the
doorkeeper to keep watch.
And he sendeth forth two of his disciples, and saith unto them, Go ye into the city, and there shall meet you a man bearing a pitcher of water: follow him.
So He sent two of His disciples and told them, “Go into the city, and a
man carrying a
jug of water will meet you. Follow him,
The Son of
man indeed goeth, as it is written of him: but
woe to that
man by whom the Son of
man is
betrayed! good were it for that
man if he had never been born.
The Son of
Man will go just as it is written about Him, but
woe to that
man by whom He is
betrayed! It would be better for him if he had not been born.”
And he said unto them, This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many.
He said to them, “This is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many.
And he cometh the third time, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: it is enough, the hour is come; behold, the Son of
man is
betrayed into the hands of sinners.
When Jesus returned the third time, He said, “Are you still sleeping and resting? That is enough! The hour has come. Look, the Son of
Man is
betrayed into the hands of sinners.
Now the
betrayer had arranged a signal with them: “The One I
kiss is the
man; arrest Him and lead Him away securely.”
And there followed him a certain young man, having a linen cloth cast about his naked body; and the young men laid hold on him:

For many bore false witness against Jesus, but their testimony was inconsistent.

And a
maid saw him again, and began to say to them that stood by, This is one of them.
There the servant
girl saw him and again said to those standing nearby, “This
man is one of them.”
But he began to
curse and to
swear, saying, I know not this
man of whom ye speak.
But he began to
curse and
swear, “I do not know this
man of whom you speak!”
And the chief priests accused him of many things: but he answered nothing.
And the chief priests began to
accuse Him of
many things.

Pilate questioned Him again, “Have You no answer? Look how
many charges they are bringing against You!”

And when the
centurion, which stood over against him, saw that he so
cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this
man was the Son of God.

man was the Son of God!”

And entering into the
sepulchre, they saw a young
man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were
affrighted.
When they entered the tomb, they saw a young
man dressed in a white
robe sitting on the right side, and they were
alarmed.
And they went out quickly, and fled from the
sepulchre; for they
trembled and were
amazed: neither said they any thing to any
man; for they were afraid.
Forasmuch as
many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us,
Many have undertaken to
compose an account of the things that have been fulfilled among us,
He will be a joy and delight to you, and
many will
rejoice at his birth,
And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God.
Many of the sons of Israel he will turn back to the Lord their God.
And
Zacharias said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old

To a virgin
espoused to a
man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary.
to a virgin
pledged in marriage to a
man named Joseph, who was of the house of David. And the virgin’s name was Mary.
And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what
manner of
salutation this should be.
Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of
greeting this might be.
Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?
“How can this be,” Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?”
And all they that heard them laid them up in their hearts, saying, What manner of child shall this be! And the hand of the Lord was with him.
And all who heard this wondered in their hearts and asked, “What then will this child become?” For the Lord’s hand was with him.
And they came with
haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the
babe lying in a
manger.
So they
hurried off and found Mary and Joseph and the
Baby, who was lying in the
manger.
And, behold, there was a
man in Jerusalem, whose name was
Simeon; and the same
man was just and
devout, waiting for the
consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him.
Now there was a
man in Jerusalem named
Simeon, who was righteous and
devout. He was waiting for the
consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him.
And
Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising again of
many in Israel; and for a sign which shall be spoken against;
Then
Simeon blessed them and said to His mother Mary: “Behold, this Child is appointed to cause the rise and fall of
many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be spoken against,
(
Yea, a sword shall
pierce through thy own soul also,) that the thoughts of
many hearts may be revealed.
so that the thoughts of
many hearts will be revealed— and a sword will
pierce your soul as well.”
And Jesus increased in wisdom and
stature, and in favour with God and
man.
And Jesus grew in wisdom and
stature, and in favor with God and
man.
And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall we do? And he said unto them, Do violence to no
man, neither
accuse any falsely; and be content with your wages.

accusation,” he said. “Be content with your wages.”

But Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone.’”
But I tell you of a truth, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elias, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when great famine was throughout all the land;
But I tell you truthfully that there were
many widows in Israel in the time of
Elijah, when the sky was shut for three and a half years and great famine swept over all the land.
And
many lepers were in Israel in the time of Eliseus the prophet; and none of them was

And in the
synagogue there was a
man, which had a spirit of an unclean devil, and
cried out with a loud voice,
In the
synagogue there was a
man possessed by the spirit of an unclean
demon. He
cried out in a loud voice,
And Jesus
rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. And when the devil had thrown him in the midst, he came out of him, and
hurt him not.
But Jesus
rebuked the
demon. “Be silent!” He said. “Come out of him!” At this, the
demon threw the
man down before them all and came out without
harming him.
And devils also came out of
many, crying out, and saying, Thou art Christ the Son of God. And he
rebuking them suffered them not to speak: for they knew that he was Christ.
Demons also came out of
many people,
shouting, “You are the Son of God!” But He
rebuked the demons and would not allow them to speak, because they knew He was the Christ.
When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord.

And it came to pass, when he was in a certain city, behold a
man full of
leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and
besought him, saying, Lord, if thou
wilt, thou canst make me clean.
While Jesus was in one of the towns, a
man came along who was covered with
leprosy. When he saw Jesus, he fell facedown and
begged Him, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.”
And he put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will: be thou clean. And immediately the
leprosy departed from him.
Jesus reached out His hand and touched the
man. “I am willing,” He said. “Be clean!” And immediately the
leprosy left him.
And he charged him to tell no
man: but go, and
shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy
cleansing, according as Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.
“Do not tell
anyone,” Jesus
instructed him. “But go, show
yourself to the priest and present the offering Moses prescribed for your
cleansing, as a testimony to them.”
And, behold, men brought in a bed a
man which was taken with a
palsy: and they sought means to bring him in, and to lay him before him.
Just then some men came carrying a
paralyzed man on a mat. They tried to bring him inside to set him before Jesus,
And when he saw their faith, he said unto him,
Man, thy sins are
forgiven thee.
When Jesus saw their faith, He said, “Friend, your sins are
forgiven.”
And the
scribes and the
Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this which speaketh blasphemies? Who can
forgive sins, but God alone?
But that ye may know that the Son of
man hath power upon earth to
forgive sins, (he said unto the sick of the
palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy
couch, and go into thine house.
But so that you may know that the Son of
Man has authority on the earth to
forgive sins...” He said to the
paralytic, “I tell you, get up,
pick up your mat, and go home.”
And immediately he rose up before them, and took up that
whereon he lay, and departed to his own house,
glorifying God.
And immediately the
man stood up before them, took what he had been lying on, and went home
glorifying God.
And he spake also a parable unto them; No man putteth a piece of a new garment upon an old; if otherwise, then both the new maketh a rent, and the piece that was taken out of the new agreeth not with the old.
He also told them a parable: “No one tears a piece of cloth from a new garment and sews it on an old one. If he does, he will
tear the new garment as well, and the
patch from the new will not
match the old.
And no
man putteth new wine into old bottles; else the new wine will
burst the bottles, and be
spilled, and the bottles shall perish.
And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. If he does, the new wine will
burst the skins, the wine will
spill, and the wineskins will be ruined.
No
man also having
drunk old wine
straightway desireth new: for he saith, The old is better.
And no one after drinking old wine wants new, for he says, ‘The old is better.’”
And he said unto them, That the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.
Then Jesus declared, “The Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.”
And it came to pass also on another sabbath, that he entered into the
synagogue and taught: and there was a
man whose right hand was
withered.
On another Sabbath Jesus entered the
synagogue and was teaching, and a
man was there whose right hand was
withered.
But he knew their thoughts, and said to the
man which had the
withered hand, Rise up, and stand forth in the midst. And he arose and stood forth.
But Jesus knew their thoughts and said to the
man with the
withered hand, “Get up and stand among us.” So he got up and stood there.
And looking round about upon them all, he said unto the man, Stretch forth thy hand. And he did so: and his hand was restored whole as the other.
And after looking around at all of them, He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He did so, and it was restored.
Blessed are ye, when men shall
hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of
man’s sake.
Blessed are you when people
hate you, and when they
exclude you and
insult you and
reject your name as evil because of the Son of
Man.
Rejoice ye in that day, and
leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like
manner did their fathers unto the prophets.
Rejoice in that day and
leap for joy, because great is your reward in heaven. For their fathers treated the prophets in the same way.
Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again.
Give to
everyone who asks you, and if
anyone takes what is yours, do not demand it back.
And he spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the
ditch?
Jesus also told them a parable: “Can a blind man lead a blind man? Will they not both fall into a pit?
A good
man out of the good
treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil
man out of the evil
treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
The good
man brings good things out of the good
treasure of his heart, and the evil
man brings evil things out of the evil
treasure of his heart. For out of the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks.
