And the priest shall take some of the blood of the
trespass offering, and the priest shall put it upon the
tip of the right ear of him that is to be
cleansed, and upon the
thumb of his right hand, and upon the great
toe of his right foot:
The priest is to take some of the blood from the guilt offering and put it on the right earlobe of the
one to be
cleansed, on the
thumb of his right hand, and on the
big toe of his right foot.
And of the rest of the oil that is in his hand shall the priest put upon the
tip of the right ear of him that is to be
cleansed, and upon the
thumb of his right hand, and upon the great
toe of his right foot, upon the blood of the
trespass offering:
And the priest is to put some of the oil remaining in his palm on the right earlobe of the
one to be
cleansed, on the
thumb of his right hand, and on the
big toe of his right foot, on top of the blood of the guilt offering.
And the
remnant of the oil that is in the priest’s hand he shall pour upon the head of him that is to be
cleansed: and the priest shall make an
atonement for him before the LORD.
The rest of the oil in his palm, the priest is to put on the head of the
one to be
cleansed, to make
atonement for him before the LORD.
And the priest shall offer the sin offering, and make an
atonement for him that is to be
cleansed from his uncleanness; and afterward he shall kill the burnt offering:
Then the priest is to sacrifice the sin offering and make
atonement for the
one to be
cleansed from his uncleanness. After that, the priest shall slaughter the burnt offering
And if he be poor, and cannot get so much; then he shall take
one lamb for a
trespass offering to be waved, to make an
atonement for him, and
one tenth deal of fine flour mingled with oil for a meat offering, and a log of oil;
If, however, the person is poor and cannot afford these offerings, he is to take
one male lamb as a guilt offering to be waved to make
atonement for him, along with a tenth of an
ephah of fine flour mixed with olive oil for a grain offering, a log of olive oil,
And two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, such as he is able to get; and the one shall be a sin offering, and the other a burnt offering.
and two turtledoves or two young pigeons,
whichever he can afford,
one to be a sin offering and the other a burnt offering.
And he shall kill the lamb of the
trespass offering, and the priest shall take some of the blood of the
trespass offering, and put it upon the
tip of the right ear of him that is to be
cleansed, and upon the
thumb of his right hand, and upon the great
toe of his right foot:
And after he slaughters the lamb for the guilt offering, the priest is to take some of the blood of the guilt offering and put it on the right earlobe of the
one to be
cleansed, on the
thumb of his right hand, and on the
big toe of his right foot.
And the priest shall put of the oil that is in his hand upon the
tip of the right ear of him that is to be
cleansed, and upon the
thumb of his right hand, and upon the great
toe of his right foot, upon the place of the blood of the
trespass offering:
The priest shall also put some of the oil in his palm on the right earlobe of the
one to be
cleansed, on the
thumb of his right hand, and on the
big toe of his right foot—on the same places as the blood of the guilt offering.
And the rest of the oil that is in the priest’s hand he shall put upon the head of him that is to be
cleansed, to make an
atonement for him before the LORD.
The rest of the oil in his palm, the priest is to put on the head of the
one to be
cleansed, to make
atonement for him before the LORD.
And he shall offer the one of the turtledoves, or of the young pigeons, such as he can get;
Then he must sacrifice the turtledoves or young pigeons,
whichever he can afford,
Even such as he is able to get, the
one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering, with the meat offering: and the priest shall make an
atonement for him that is to be
cleansed before the LORD.
one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering, together with the grain offering. In this way the priest will make
atonement before the LORD for the
one to be
cleansed.
And they shall take other stones, and put them in the place of those stones; and he shall take other
morter, and shall
plaister the house.
So different stones must be obtained to replace the
contaminated ones, as well as additional mortar to replaster the house.
And he shall kill the
one of the birds in an
earthen vessel over running water:
and he shall slaughter one of the birds over fresh water in a clay pot.
And if he that hath the issue
spit upon him that is clean; then he shall wash his clothes, and
bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even.
If the man with the discharge spits on
one who is clean, that person must wash his clothes and
bathe with water, and he will be unclean until evening.
And
whomsoever he toucheth that hath the issue, and hath not
rinsed his hands in water, he shall wash his clothes, and
bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even.
If the man with the discharge touches
anyone without first
rinsing his hands with water, the
one who was touched must wash his clothes and
bathe with water, and he will be unclean until evening.
And the priest shall offer them, the
one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering; and the priest shall make an
atonement for him before the LORD for his issue.
The priest is to sacrifice them,
one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering. In this way the priest will make
atonement for the man before the LORD because of his discharge.
And the priest shall offer the
one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering; and the priest shall make an
atonement for her before the LORD for the issue of her uncleanness.
The priest is to sacrifice
one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering. In this way the priest will make
atonement for her before the LORD for her unclean discharge.
And he shall take of the congregation of the children of Israel two kids of the goats for a sin offering, and one ram for a burnt offering.
And he shall take from the congregation of Israel two male goats for a sin offering and one ram for a burnt offering.
And Aaron shall cast lots upon the two goats;
one lot for the LORD, and the other lot for the
scapegoat.
After Aaron casts lots for the two goats,
one for the LORD and the other for the
scapegoat,
And there shall be no man in the tabernacle of the congregation when he goeth in to make an
atonement in the holy place, until he come out, and have made an
atonement for himself, and for his household, and for all the congregation of Israel.
No
one may be in the Tent of Meeting from the time Aaron goes in to make
atonement in the Most Holy Place until he leaves, after he has made
atonement for himself, his household, and the whole assembly of Israel.
And the
bullock for the sin offering, and the goat for the sin offering, whose blood was brought in to make
atonement in the holy place, shall
one carry forth without the camp; and they shall burn in the fire their skins, and their flesh, and their dung.
The bull for the sin offering and the goat for the sin offering, whose blood was brought into the Most Holy Place to make
atonement, must be taken outside the camp; and their hides, flesh, and dung must be burned up.
And he that burneth them shall wash his clothes, and
bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp.
The
one who burns them must wash his clothes and
bathe himself with water, and afterward he may reenter the camp.
And this shall be a statute for ever unto you: that in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, ye shall
afflict your souls, and do no work at all, whether it be
one of your own country, or a stranger that sojourneth among you:
This is to be a permanent statute for you: On the tenth day of the seventh month, you shall humble
yourselves and not do any work—whether the native or the foreigner who resides among you—
And every soul that eateth that which died of itself, or that which was
torn with beasts, whether it be
one of your own country, or a stranger, he shall both wash his clothes, and
bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even: then shall he be clean.
And any person, whether native or foreigner, who eats anything found dead or
mauled by wild beasts must wash his clothes and
bathe with water, and he will be unclean until evening; then he will be clean.
Therefore shall ye keep mine
ordinance, that ye commit not any
one of these
abominable customs, which were committed before you, and that ye
defile not
yourselves therein: I am the LORD your God.
You must keep My charge not to practice any of the
abominable customs that were practiced before you, so that you do not
defile yourselves by them. I am the LORD your God.”
Therefore every
one that eateth it shall bear his iniquity, because he hath
profaned the
hallowed thing of the LORD: and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.
Whoever eats it will bear his iniquity, for he has
profaned what is holy to the LORD. That person must be cut off from his people.
Ye shall not
steal, neither deal falsely, neither lie
one to another.
You must not
steal. You must not lie or
deceive one another.
But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as
one born among you, and thou shalt love him as
thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.
You must treat the foreigner living among you as native-born and love him as
yourself, for you were foreigners in the land of Egypt. I am the LORD your God.
And if the people of the land do any ways hide their eyes from the man, when he giveth of his seed unto
Molech, and kill him not:
And if the people of the land ever hide their eyes and fail to put to death the man who gives
one of his children to
Molech,
For every
one that curseth his father or his mother shall be surely put to death: he hath
cursed his father or his mother; his blood shall be upon him.
If
anyone curses his father or mother, he must be put to death. He has
cursed his father or mother; his blood shall be upon him.
And thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy mother’s sister, nor of thy father’s sister: for he uncovereth his near
kin: they shall bear their iniquity.
You must not have sexual relations with the sister of your mother or your father, for it is
exposing one’s own
kin; both shall bear their iniquity.
A widow, or a
divorced woman, or
profane, or an
harlot, these shall he not take: but he shall take a virgin of his own people to wife.
There shall no stranger eat of the holy thing: a
sojourner of the priest, or an
hired servant, shall not eat of the holy thing.
No
one outside a priest’s family may eat the sacred offering, nor may the
guest of a priest or his
hired hand eat it.
And whether it be cow or
ewe, ye shall not kill it and her young both in
one day.
But you must not slaughter an ox or a sheep on the same day as its young.
And ye shall offer with the bread seven lambs without
blemish of the first year, and
one young
bullock, and two rams: they shall be for a burnt offering unto the LORD, with their meat offering, and their drink offerings, even an offering made by fire, of sweet savour unto the LORD.
Along with the bread you are to present seven
unblemished male lambs a year old,
one young bull, and two rams. They will be a burnt offering to the LORD, together with their grain offerings and drink offerings—an offering made by fire, a pleasing
aroma to the LORD.
Then ye shall sacrifice
one kid of the goats for a sin offering, and two lambs of the first year for a sacrifice of peace offerings.
You shall also prepare one male goat as a sin offering and two male lambs a year old as a peace offering.
And thou shalt take fine flour, and
bake twelve cakes thereof: two tenth deals shall be in
one cake.
You are also to take fine flour and
bake twelve
loaves, using two-tenths of an
ephah for each
loaf,
Ye shall have one manner of law, as well for the stranger, as for one of your own country: for I am the LORD your God.
You are to have the same standard of law for the foreign resident and the native; for I am the LORD your God.’”
And if thou sell ought unto thy neighbour, or buyest ought of thy neighbour’s hand, ye shall not
oppress one another:
If you make a sale to your
neighbor or a purchase from him, you must not take advantage of each other.
Ye shall not therefore
oppress one another; but thou shalt fear thy God: for I am the LORD your God.
Do not take advantage of each other, but fear your God; for I am the LORD your God.
And if the man have none to
redeem it, and himself be able to
redeem it;
Or if a man has no
one to
redeem it for him, but he prospers and acquires enough to
redeem his land,
And ye shall take them as an inheritance for your children after you, to
inherit them for a possession; they shall be your
bondmen for ever: but over your brethren the children of Israel, ye shall not rule
one over another with rigour.
You may leave them to your sons after you to
inherit as property; you can make them slaves for life. But as for your brothers, the Israelites, no man may rule harshly over his brother.
After that he is sold he may be redeemed again;
one of his brethren may
redeem him:
he retains the right of
redemption after he has sold himself.
One of his brothers may
redeem him:
And I will set my face against you, and ye shall be slain before your enemies: they that
hate you shall reign over you; and ye shall
flee when none pursueth you.
And I will set My face against you, so that you will be defeated by your enemies. Those who
hate you will rule over you, and you will
flee when no
one pursues you.
And when I have broken the staff of your bread, ten women shall
bake your bread in
one oven, and they shall deliver you your bread again by weight: and ye shall eat, and not be satisfied.
When I cut off your supply of bread, ten women will
bake your bread in a single
oven and
dole out your bread by weight, so that you will eat but not be satisfied.
And upon them that are left alive of you I will send a
faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies; and the sound of a
shaken leaf shall
chase them; and they shall
flee, as
fleeing from a sword; and they shall fall when none pursueth.
As for those of you who
survive, I will send a
faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies, so that even the sound of a windblown leaf will put them to flight. And they will
flee as
one flees the sword, and fall when no
one pursues them.
And they shall fall one upon another, as it were before a sword, when none pursueth: and ye shall have no power to stand before your enemies.
They will
stumble over
one another as before the sword, though no
one is behind them. So you will not be able to stand against your enemies.
And if it be from a month old even unto five years old, then thy
estimation shall be of the male five shekels of silver, and for the female thy
estimation shall be three shekels of silver.
Now if the person is from
one month to five years of age, then your
valuation for the male shall be five shekels of silver, and for the female three shekels of silver.
But if he be poorer than thy
estimation, then he shall present himself before the priest, and the priest shall value him; according to his ability that
vowed shall the priest value him.
But if the
one making the
vow is too poor to pay the
valuation, he is to present the person before the priest, who shall set the value according to what the
one making the
vow can afford.
He shall not alter it, nor change it, a good for a bad, or a bad for a good: and if he shall at all change beast for beast, then it and the exchange thereof shall be holy.
He must not replace it or exchange it, either good for bad or bad for good. But if he does substitute one animal for another, both that animal and its substitute will be holy.
And if he that
sanctified the field will in any wise
redeem it, then he shall add the fifth part of the money of thy
estimation unto it, and it shall be
assured to him.
And if the
one who consecrated the field decides to
redeem it, he must add a fifth to the
assessed value, and it shall belong to him.
In the year of the jubile the field shall return unto him of whom it was bought, even to him to whom the possession of the land did belong.
In the Year of
Jubilee the field shall return to the
one from whom it was bought—the original owner of the land.
Only the
firstling of the beasts, which should be the LORD’S
firstling, no man shall
sanctify it; whether it be ox, or sheep: it is the LORD’S.
Take ye the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, after their families, by the house of their fathers, with the number of their names, every male by their polls;
“Take a census of the whole congregation of Israel by their clans and families, listing every man by name, one by one.
And with you there shall be a man of every tribe; every one head of the house of his fathers.
And one man from each tribe, the head of each family, must be there with you.
And they assembled all the congregation together on the first day of the second month, and they declared their pedigrees after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, by their polls.
and on the first day of the second month they assembled the whole congregation and recorded their
ancestry by clans and families, counting
one by
one the names of those twenty years of age or older,
And the children of
Reuben, Israel’s eldest son, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, by their polls, every male from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
From the sons of
Reuben, the
firstborn of Israel, according to the records of their clans and families, counting
one by
one the names of every male twenty years of age or older who could serve in the army,
Of the children of
Simeon, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, those that were numbered of them, according to the number of the names, by their polls, every male from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
From the sons of
Simeon, according to the records of their clans and families, counting
one by
one the names of every male twenty years of age or older who could serve in the army,
Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Asher, were forty and one thousand and five hundred.
those registered to the tribe of Asher numbered 41,500.
These are those that were numbered, which Moses and Aaron numbered, and the princes of Israel, being twelve men: each one was for the house of his fathers.
These were the men numbered by Moses and Aaron, with the assistance of the twelve leaders of Israel, each one representing his family.
All that were numbered in the camp of
Reuben were an hundred thousand and fifty and
one thousand and four hundred and fifty, throughout their armies. And they shall set forth in the second rank.
The total number of men in the divisions of the camp of
Reuben is 151,450; they shall set out second.
And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were forty and one thousand and five hundred.
and his division numbers 41,500.
And the children of Israel did according to all that the LORD commanded Moses: so they pitched by their standards, and so they set forward, every one after their families, according to the house of their fathers.
So the Israelites did everything the LORD commanded Moses; they camped under their standards in this way and set out in the same way, each man with his clan and his family.
Thou shalt even take five shekels
apiece by the
poll, after the
shekel of the sanctuary shalt thou take them: (the
shekel is twenty gerahs:)
you are to collect five shekels for each
one, according to the sanctuary
shekel of twenty gerahs.
But thus do unto them, that they may live, and not die, when they approach unto the most holy things: Aaron and his sons shall go in, and
appoint them every
one to his service and to his burden:
In order that they may live and not die when they come near the most holy things, do this for them: Aaron and his sons are to go in and
assign each man his task and what he is to carry.
From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old shalt thou number them, every one that entereth into the service, to do the work of the tabernacle of the congregation.
from thirty to fifty years old, counting
everyone who comes to serve in the work of the Tent of Meeting.
From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that entereth into the service, for the work in the tabernacle of the congregation:
everyone from thirty to fifty years old who came to serve in the work at the Tent of Meeting.
From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that entereth into the service, for the work in the tabernacle of the congregation,
everyone from thirty to fifty years old who came to serve in the work at the Tent of Meeting.
From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that entereth into the service, for the work in the tabernacle of the congregation,
everyone from thirty to fifty years old who came to serve in the work at the Tent of Meeting.
From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that came to do the service of the ministry, and the service of the burden in the tabernacle of the congregation,
from thirty to fifty years old who came to do the work of serving and carrying the Tent of Meeting.
According to the commandment of the LORD they were numbered by the hand of Moses, every one according to his service, and according to his burden: thus were they numbered of him, as the LORD commanded Moses.
At the LORD’s command they were numbered through Moses and each one was assigned his work and burden, as the LORD had commanded Moses.
Command the children of Israel, that they put out of the camp every
leper, and every
one that hath an issue, and
whosoever is
defiled by the dead:
“Command the Israelites to send away from the camp
anyone with a skin disease,
anyone who has a bodily discharge, and
anyone who is
defiled by a dead body.
Then they shall
confess their sin which they have done: and he shall
recompense his
trespass with the principal thereof, and add unto it the fifth part thereof, and give it unto him against whom he hath
trespassed.
and must
confess the sin he has committed. He must make full
restitution, add a fifth to its value, and give all this to the
one he has wronged.
And the priest shall offer the
one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering, and make an
atonement for him, for that he
sinned by the dead, and shall
hallow his head that same day.
And the priest is to offer
one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering to make
atonement for him, because he has
sinned by being in the presence of the dead body. On that day he must
consecrate his head again.
And he shall offer his offering unto the LORD,
one he lamb of the first year without
blemish for a burnt offering, and
one ewe lamb of the first year without
blemish for a sin offering, and
one ram without
blemish for peace offerings,
and he is to present an offering to the LORD of an
unblemished year-old male lamb as a burnt offering, an
unblemished year-old female lamb as a sin offering, and an
unblemished ram as a peace offering—
And they brought their offering before the LORD, six covered wagons, and twelve oxen; a
wagon for two of the princes, and for each
one an ox: and they brought them before the tabernacle.
They brought as their offering before the LORD six covered carts and twelve oxen—an ox from each leader and a
cart from every two leaders—and presented them before the tabernacle.
And the LORD said unto Moses, They shall offer their offering, each prince on his day, for the
dedicating of the altar.
And the LORD said to Moses, “Each day
one leader is to present his offering for the
dedication of the altar.”
And his offering was
