And
wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him: and he foameth, and gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him
out; and they could not.
Whenever it seizes him, it throws him to the ground. He foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth, and becomes rigid. I asked Your disciples to drive it out, but they were unable.”

sore, and came
out of him: and he was as one dead;
insomuch that many said, He is dead.

accompany us.”
And if thine eye
offend thee,
pluck it
out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into
hell fire:
And if your eye causes you to sin,
pluck it
out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into
hell,

vineyard, and set an
hedge about it, and
digged a place for the winefat, and built a tower, and let it
out to
husbandmen, and went into a far country.
Then Jesus began to speak to them in parables: “A man planted a
vineyard. He put a wall around it,
dug a wine
vat, and built a
watchtower. Then he rented it
out to some tenants and went away on a journey.
And they took him, and killed him, and cast him

And he said unto them in his doctrine,
Beware of the
scribes, which love to go in long clothing, and love
salutations in the marketplaces,

out for the

For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.
For they all contributed
out of their
surplus, but she
out of her poverty has put in all she had to live on.”

out into the
porch; and the

out to the
gateway, and the
rooster crowed.

Then
Pilate said unto them, Why, what evil hath he done? And they
cried out the more exceedingly,
Crucify him.
And when they had
mocked him, they took off the purple from him, and put his own clothes on him, and led him
out to
crucify him.
After they had
mocked Him, they removed the purple
robe and put His own clothes back on Him. Then they led Him
out to
crucify Him.

Eloi,
Eloi, lema sabachthani?” which means, “My God, My God, why have You
forsaken Me?”

And he bought fine linen, and took him down, and
wrapped him in the linen, and laid him in a
sepulchre which was
hewn out of a rock, and rolled a stone unto the door of the
sepulchre.
So Joseph bought a linen cloth, took down the body of Jesus,
wrapped it in the cloth, and placed it in a tomb that had been cut
out of the rock. Then he rolled a stone against the entrance to the tomb.
And they went
out quickly, and fled from the
sepulchre; for they
trembled and were
amazed: neither said they any thing to any man; for they were afraid.

And these signs will
accompany those who believe: In My name they will drive
out demons; they will speak in new tongues;
And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and
confirming the word with signs following.

out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked through them,
confirming His word by the signs that accompanied it.

out, he could not speak unto them: and they perceived that he had seen a vision in the temple: for he
beckoned unto them, and remained speechless.

out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy

That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear,
deliverance from hostile hands, that we may serve Him without fear,

And Joseph also went up from
Galilee,
out of the city of
Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called
Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and
lineage of David:)
Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be
baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath
warned you to
flee from the wrath to come?
Then John said to the crowds coming
out to be
baptized by him, “You
brood of vipers, who
warned you to
flee from the coming wrath?
Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of
repentance, and begin not to say within
yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.
Produce fruit, then, in keeping with
repentance. And do not begin to say to
yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I tell you that
out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham.
And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into
Galilee: and there went
out a fame of him through all the region round about.
Jesus returned to
Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and the news about Him spread throughout the surrounding region.
And all bare him witness, and wondered at the
gracious words which proceeded
out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Joseph’s son?
All spoke well of Him and
marveled at the
gracious words that came from His lips. “Isn’t this the son of Joseph?” they asked.
And rose up, and thrust him
out of the city, and led him unto the
brow of the hill
whereon their city was built, that they might cast him down
headlong.
They got up, drove Him
out of the town, and led Him to the
brow of the hill on which the town was built, in order to throw Him over the
cliff.
And in the
synagogue there was a man, which had a spirit of an unclean devil, and
cried out with a loud voice,
In the
synagogue there was a man possessed by the spirit of an unclean
demon. He
cried out in a loud voice,
And Jesus
rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come
out of him. And when the devil had thrown him in the midst, he came
out of him, and
hurt him not.
But Jesus
rebuked the
demon. “Be silent!” He said. “Come
out of him!” At this, the
demon threw the man down before them all and came
out without
harming him.
And they were all
amazed, and spake among themselves, saying, What a word is this! for with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come
out.
All the people were overcome with
amazement and asked one another, “What is this message? With authority and power He commands the unclean spirits, and they come
out!”
And the fame of him went out into every place of the country round about.
And the news about Jesus spread throughout the surrounding region.
And he arose
out of the
synagogue, and entered into Simon’s house. And Simon’s wife’s mother was taken with a great fever; and they
besought him for her.
After Jesus had left the
synagogue, He went to the home of Simon, whose mother-in-law was suffering from a high fever. So they appealed to Jesus on her behalf,
And devils also came
out of many, crying
out, and saying, Thou art Christ the Son of God. And he
rebuking them suffered them not to speak: for they knew that he was Christ.
Demons also came
out of many people,
shouting, “You are the Son of God!” But He
rebuked the demons and would not allow them to speak, because they knew He was the Christ.
And when it was day, he departed and went into a desert place: and the people sought him, and came unto him, and stayed him, that he should not depart from them.

And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the
fishermen were gone
out of them, and were washing their nets.
He saw two boats at the edge of the lake. The
fishermen had left them and were washing their nets.
And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon’s, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship.
Jesus got into the boat belonging to Simon and asked him to put out a little from shore. And sitting down, He taught the people from the boat.
Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon,
Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.
When Jesus had finished speaking, He said to Simon, “Put out into deep water and let down your nets for a catch.”
And he put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will: be thou clean. And immediately the
leprosy departed from him.
Jesus reached
out His hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” He said. “Be clean!” And immediately the
leprosy left him.
And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were
Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come
out of every town of
Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to
heal them.
One day Jesus was teaching, and the
Pharisees and teachers of the law were sitting there. People had come from Jerusalem and from every village of
Galilee and
Judea, and the power of the Lord was present for Him to
heal the sick.
And after these things he went forth, and saw a
publican, named Levi, sitting at the
receipt of custom: and he said unto him, Follow me.
After this, Jesus went
out and saw a tax
collector named Levi sitting at the tax
booth. “Follow Me,” He told him,
And he spake also a parable unto them; No man putteth a piece of a new garment upon an old; if otherwise, then both the new maketh a rent, and the piece that was taken out of the new agreeth not with the old.
He also told them a parable: “No one tears a piece of cloth from a new garment and sews it on an old one. If he does, he will
tear the new garment as well, and the
patch from the new will not
match the old.
And looking round about upon them all, he said unto the man, Stretch forth thy hand. And he did so: and his hand was restored whole as the other.
And after looking around at all of them, He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He did so, and it was restored.
And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.
In those days Jesus went out to the mountain to pray, and He spent the night in prayer to God.
And he came down with them, and stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people
out of all Judaea and Jerusalem, and from the sea coast of Tyre and
Sidon, which came to hear him, and to be
healed of their diseases;
Then Jesus came down with them and stood on a level place. A large crowd of His disciples was there, along with a great number of people from all over
Judea, Jerusalem, and the sea coast of Tyre and
Sidon.
And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue
out of him, and
healed them all.
The entire crowd was trying to touch Him, because power was coming from Him and
healing them all.
Blessed are ye, when men shall
hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast
out your name as evil, for the Son of man’s sake.
Blessed are you when people
hate you, and when they
exclude you and
insult you and
reject your name as evil because of the Son of Man.
Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull
out the
mote that is in thine eye, when thou
thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou
hypocrite, cast
out first the beam
out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull
out the
mote that is in thy brother’s eye.
How can you say, ‘Brother, let me take the
speck out of your eye,’ while you
yourself fail to see the beam in your own eye? You
hypocrite! First take the beam
out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the
speck from your brother’s eye.
A good man
out of the good
treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man
out of the evil
treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
The good man brings good things
out of the good
treasure of his heart, and the evil man brings evil things
out of the evil
treasure of his heart. For
out of the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks.
Now when he came
nigh to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried
out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her.
As He approached the town gate, He saw a dead man being carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow. And a large crowd from the town was with her.
And when the messengers of John were departed, he began to speak unto the people concerning John, What went ye
out into the wilderness for to see? A reed
shaken with the wind?
After John’s messengers had left, Jesus began to speak to the crowds about John: “What did you go
out into the wilderness to see? A reed
swaying in the wind?
But what went ye
out for to see? A man clothed in soft
raiment? Behold, they which are
gorgeously apparelled, and live delicately, are in kings courts.
Otherwise, what did you go
out to see? A man dressed in fine clothes? Look, those who wear elegant clothing and live in
luxury are found in palaces.
But what went ye
out for to see? A prophet?
Yea, I say unto you, and much more than a prophet.
What then did you go
out to see? A prophet?
Yes, I tell you, and more than a prophet.
They are like unto children sitting in the marketplace, and calling one to another, and saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have
mourned to you, and ye have not
wept.
They are like children sitting in the marketplace and calling
out to one another: ‘We played the
flute for you, and you did not dance; we
sang a
dirge, and you did not
weep.’
And certain women, which had been
healed of evil spirits and
infirmities, Mary called Magdalene,
out of whom went seven devils,
as well as some women who had been
healed of evil spirits and
infirmities: Mary called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone
out,
And
Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod’s
steward, and
Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto him of their substance.
Joanna the wife of Herod’s household
manager Chuza,
Susanna, and many others. These women were ministering to them
out of their own means.
And when much people were gathered together, and were come to him out of every city, he spake by a parable:
While a large crowd was gathering and people were coming to Jesus from town after town, He told them this parable:
A
sower went
out to
sow his seed: and as he
sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was
trodden down, and the fowls of the air
devoured it.
“A farmer went
out to
sow his seed. And as he was
sowing, some seed fell along the path, where it was
trampled, and the birds of the air
devoured it.
And other fell on good ground, and
sprang up, and bare fruit an
hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he
cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
Still other seed fell on good soil, where it
sprang up and produced a crop—a
hundredfold.” As Jesus said this, He called
out, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”
Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.
The seeds along the path are those who hear, but the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved.
And it was told him by certain which said, Thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to see thee.
He was told, “Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to see You.”
And he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it.
But He replied, “My mother and brothers are those who hear the word of God and carry it out.”
Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his disciples: and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And they
launched forth.
One day Jesus said to His disciples, “Let us cross to the other side of the lake.” So He got into a boat with them and set out.
And when he went forth to land, there met him out of the city a certain man, which had devils long time, and ware no clothes, neither abode in any house, but in the tombs.
When Jesus
stepped ashore, He was met by a
demon-possessed man from the town. For a long time this man had not worn clothing or lived in a house, but he stayed in the tombs.
When he saw Jesus, he
cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God most high? I
beseech thee,
torment me not.
When the man saw Jesus, he
cried out and fell down before Him,
shouting in a loud voice, “What do You want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I
beg You not to
torture me!”
(For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come
out of the man. For
oftentimes it had caught him: and he was kept bound with chains and in
fetters; and he
brake the bands, and was driven of the devil into the wilderness.)
For Jesus had commanded the unclean spirit to come
out of the man. Many times it had seized him, and though he was bound with chains and
shackles, he had broken the chains and been driven by the
demon into solitary places.
And they
besought him that he would not command them to go
out into the deep.
And the demons kept
begging Jesus not to order them to go into the
Abyss.
Then went the devils
out of the man, and entered into the
swine: and the
herd ran violently down a steep place into the lake, and were
choked.
Then the demons came
out of the man and went into the pigs, and the
herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and was
drowned.
Then they went out to see what was done; and came to Jesus, and found the man, out of whom the devils were departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.
So the people went out to see what had happened. They came to Jesus and found the man whom the demons had left, sitting at Jesus’ feet, clothed and in his right mind; and they were afraid.
Now the man
out of whom the devils were departed
besought him that he might be with him: but Jesus sent him away, saying,
The man whom the demons had left
begged to go with Jesus. But He sent him away, saying,
