devour forever? Do you not

usury.
I, as well as my brothers and my servants, have been
lending the people money and grain. Please, let us
stop this
usury.
And I sent messengers unto them, saying, I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down: why should the work cease, whilst I leave it, and come down to you?
So I sent messengers to them, saying, “I am doing a great work and cannot come down. Why should the work stop while I leave it to go down to you?”

If he cut off, and shut up, or gather together, then who can hinder him?
If He comes along to imprison you, or convenes a court, who can stop Him?

spear, and

persecute me: say unto my soul, I am thy salvation.

spear and
javelin against my pursuers; say to my soul: “I am your salvation.”

rejoice in God; every one that sweareth by him shall glory: but the mouth of them that speak lies shall be
stopped.
But the king will
rejoice in God; all who
swear by Him will
exult, for the mouths of liars will be shut.
The righteous shall see it, and
rejoice: and all iniquity shall
stop her mouth.
The upright see and
rejoice, and all iniquity shuts its mouth.
Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard.

mirth of tabrets ceaseth, the noise of them that

stopped; the joyful
harp is silent.

yourselves, and wonder; cry ye out, and cry: they are
drunken, but not with wine; they
stagger, but not with strong drink.
Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets,
Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things,
prophesy deceits:
They say to the seers, “
Stop seeing visions!” and to the prophets, “Do not
prophesy to us the truth! Speak to us pleasant words;
prophesy illusions.
He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil;
He who walks righteously and speaks with
sincerity, who refuses gain from
extortion, whose hand never takes a
bribe, who
stops his ears against
murderous plots and shuts his eyes
tightly against evil—

But they
hearkened not, nor inclined their ear to turn from their wickedness, to burn no incense unto other gods.
But they did not
listen or
incline their ears; they did not turn from their wickedness or
stop burning incense to other gods.
But since we left off to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, we have wanted all things, and have been consumed by the sword and by the famine.
But from the time we stopped burning incense to the Queen of Heaven and pouring out drink offerings to her, we have lacked everything and have been perishing by sword and famine.”
And seekest thou great things for
thyself? seek them not: for, behold, I will bring evil upon all flesh, saith the LORD: but thy life will I give unto thee for a prey in all places
whither thou goest.
But as for you, do you seek great things for
yourself?
Stop seeking! For I will bring
disaster on every living creature, declares the LORD, but wherever you go, I will grant your life as a
spoil of war.”

ablaze, the bars of her gates are broken.

As I watched, the
cherubim lifted their wings and rose up from the ground, with the wheels beside them as they went. And they
stopped at the entrance of the east gate of the house of the LORD, with the glory of the God of Israel above them.
And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto
Gog a place there of graves in Israel, the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea: and it shall
stop the noses of the passengers: and there shall they
bury Gog and all his multitude: and they shall call it The valley of
Hamon-
gog.
And on that day I will give
Gog a burial place in Israel, the Valley of the Travelers, east of the Sea. It will block those who travel through, because
Gog and all his hordes will be buried there. So it will be called the Valley of
Hamon-
gog.

spoil, and
execute judgment and justice, take away your exactions from my people, saith the Lord GOD.

stopped obeying the LORD.

But
Nineveh is of old like a
pool of water: yet they shall
flee away. Stand, stand, shall they cry; but none shall look back.

pool of water throughout her days, but now it is
draining away. “
Stop!
Stop!” they cry, but no one turns back.

stop him, because he does not
accompany us.”
But Jesus said,
Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a
miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me.
“Do not
stop him,” Jesus replied. “For no one who performs a
miracle in My name can turn around and speak evil of Me.
And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.

Weep not; she is not dead, but sleepeth.
And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name; and we
forbad him, because he followeth not with us.

accompany us.”
And Jesus said unto him,
Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us.
“Do not
stop him,” Jesus replied, “for
whoever is not against you is for you.”

avenge her, lest by her continual coming she
weary me.

Afterward, Jesus found the man at the temple and said to him, “See, you have been made well.
Stop sinning, or something worse may happen to you.”
