everyone in the region of
Judea, and then to the Gentiles, I declared that they should
repent and
turn to God, performing deeds worthy of their
repentance.
For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should
heal them.

callous; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts, and
turn, and I would
heal them.’

If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one
interpret.

anyone speaks in a tongue, two, or at most three, should speak in

interpret.

marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:

amazed how quickly you are deserting the One who called you by the grace of Christ and are
turning to a different gospel—
But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how
turn ye again to the weak and
beggarly elements,
whereunto ye desire again to be in
bondage?
But now that you know God, or rather are known by God, how is it that you are
turning back to those weak and worthless principles? Do you wish to be
enslaved by them all over again?
For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,
because I know that through your prayers and the provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, my distress will
turn out for my
deliverance.

turn read the letter from
Laodicea.

shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye
turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God;
For they themselves report what kind of
welcome you gave us, and how you
turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God

turned aside to empty talk.
For some are already
turned aside after
Satan.
For some have already
turned aside to follow
Satan.

Nevertheless, God’s firm foundation stands, bearing this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “
Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord must
turn away from iniquity.”

godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such
turn away.

heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.

Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed
valiant in fight,
turned to flight the armies of the aliens.
quenched the
raging fire, and escaped the edge of the sword; who gained strength from weakness, became mighty in battle, and put foreign armies to flight.
And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is
lame be
turned out of the way; but let it rather be
healed.
Make straight paths for your feet, so that the
lame may not be disabled, but rather
healed.
See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:
See to it that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if the people did not escape when they refused Him who
warned them on earth, how much less will we escape if we
reject Him who warns us from heaven?
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, with whom there is no change or
shifting shadow.

When we put bits into the mouths of horses to make them obey us, we can guide the whole animal.
Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they
turned about with a very small
helm,
whithersoever the governor listeth.
Consider ships as well. Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are
steered by a very small
rudder wherever the
pilot is inclined.
Let him know, that he which converteth the
sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

And
turning the cities of
Sodom and
Gomorrah into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an
ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
if He condemned the cities of
Sodom and
Gomorrah to destruction, reducing them to ashes as an example of what is coming on the ungodly;
For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.

But it is happened unto them according to the true
proverb, The dog is
turned to his own
vomit again; and the
sow that was washed to her
wallowing in the
mire.
Of them the

vomit,” and, “A
sow that is washed goes back to her
wallowing in the mud.”
For there are certain men
crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this
condemnation, ungodly men,
turning the grace of our God into
lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
For certain men have
crept in among you unnoticed—ungodly ones who were designated long ago for
condemnation. They
turn the grace of our God into a
license for immorality, and they deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.

earthquake, and the sun became black like
sackcloth of goat hair, and the whole moon
turned blood red,

turned to blood,
And the name of the star is called
Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became
wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.
The name of the star is
Wormwood. A third of the waters
turned bitter like
wormwood oil, and many people died from the bitter waters.
And I took the little book out of the angel’s hand, and
ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my

ate it; and it was as sweet as honey in my mouth, but when I had eaten it, my stomach
turned bitter.
These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to
turn them to blood, and to
smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.
These witnesses have power to shut the sky so that no rain will fall during the days of their prophecy, and power to turn the waters into blood and to strike the earth with every kind of plague as often as they wish.
And the second angel poured out his
vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea.

bowl into the sea, and it

And the third angel poured out his
vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood.
And the third angel poured out his
bowl into the rivers and springs of water, and they
turned to blood.
Howbeit Josias did not
turn back his
chariot from him, but undertook to fight with him, not regarding the words of the prophet Jeremy spoken by the mouth of the Lord:
It
turneth also every thought into
jollity and
mirth, so that a man remembereth neither sorrow nor debt:
For that he had
turned the counsel of the king of Assyria toward them, to
strengthen their hands in the works of the Lord God of Israel.
And
didst give unto us such a root: but we have
turned back again to
transgress thy law, and to
mingle ourselves with the uncleanness of the nations of the land.

When ye offer unto me, I will
turn my face from you: for your solemn feastdays, your new moons, and your circumcisions, have I
forsaken.

turned upside down, and if the place where the evil is sown pass not away, then cannot it come that is sown with good.
And
ere the present years were sought out, and or ever the inventions of them that now sin were
turned, before they were sealed that have gathered faith for a
treasure:
And the men that are received shall see it, who have not tasted death from their birth: and the heart of the inhabitants shall be changed, and turned into another meaning.
And the world shall be turned into the old silence seven days, like as in the former judgments: so that no man shall remain.
And upon those also that turn to his law;
