After these things the word of the LORD came unto
Abram in a
vision, saying, Fear not,
Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.
After these events, the word of the LORD came to
Abram in a
vision: “Do not be afraid,
Abram. I am your shield, your very great reward.”

And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream.
He said, “Hear now My words: If there is a prophet among you, I, the LORD, will
reveal Myself to him in a
vision; I will speak to him in a dream.
He hath said, which heard the words of God, which saw the
vision of the
Almighty, falling into a
trance, but having his eyes open:
the prophecy of one who hears the words of God, who sees a
vision from the
Almighty, who bows down with eyes wide open:
He hath said, which heard the words of God, and knew the knowledge of the most High, which saw the
vision of the
Almighty, falling into a
trance, but having his eyes open:
the prophecy of one who hears the words of God, who has knowledge from the Most High, who sees a
vision from the
Almighty, who bows down with eyes wide open:
And the child Samuel ministered unto the LORD before
Eli. And the word of the LORD was precious in those days; there was no open
vision.
And the boy Samuel ministered to the LORD before
Eli. Now in those days the word of the LORD was rare and
visions were
scarce.
And Samuel lay until the morning, and opened the doors of the house of the LORD. And Samuel feared to
shew Eli the
vision.
Samuel lay down until the morning; then he opened the doors of the house of the LORD. He was afraid to tell
Eli the
vision,
According to all these words, and according to all this
vision, so did
Nathan speak unto David.
So
Nathan relayed to David all the words of this entire
vision.
According to all these words, and according to all this
vision, so did
Nathan speak unto David.
So
Nathan relayed to David all the words of this entire
vision.
Now the rest of the acts of Solomon, first and last, are they not written in the book of
Nathan the prophet, and in the prophecy of
Ahijah the Shilonite, and in the
visions of
Iddo the
seer against
Jeroboam the son of Nebat?
As for the rest of the acts of Solomon, from beginning to end, are they not written in the Records of
Nathan the Prophet, in the Prophecy of
Ahijah the Shilonite, and in the
Visions of
Iddo the
Seer concerning
Jeroboam son of Nebat?
And he sought God in the days of
Zechariah, who had understanding in the
visions of God: and as long as he sought the LORD, God made him to
prosper.
He sought God throughout the days of
Zechariah, who
instructed him in the fear of God. And as long as he sought the LORD, God gave him success.
Now the rest of the acts of
Hezekiah, and his goodness, behold, they are written in the
vision of Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, and in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.
As for the rest of the acts of
Hezekiah and his deeds of loving devotion, they are indeed written in the
vision of the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz in the Book of the Kings of Judah and Israel.
In thoughts from the visions of the night, when deep sleep falleth on men,
In disquieting visions in the night, when deep sleep falls on men,
Then thou scarest me with dreams, and terrifiest me through visions:
He shall fly away as a dream, and shall not be found:
yea, he shall be
chased away as a
vision of the night.
He will fly away like a dream, never to be found; he will be
chased away like a
vision in the night.
In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed;
In a dream, in a
vision in the night, when deep sleep falls upon men as they
slumber on their beds,
Then thou spakest in
vision to thy holy one, and saidst, I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have
exalted one chosen out of the people.
You once spoke in a
vision; to Your godly ones You said, “I have bestowed help on a
warrior; I have
exalted one chosen from the people.
Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
Where there is no vision, the people cast off restraint; but blessed is he who keeps the Law.
The
vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham,
Ahaz, and
Hezekiah, kings of Judah.
This is the
vision concerning Judah and Jerusalem that Isaiah son of Amoz saw during the reigns of Uzziah, Jotham,
Ahaz, and
Hezekiah, kings of Judah.
A
dire vision is declared to me: “The
traitor still betrays, and the destroyer still destroys. Go up, O
Elam! Lay siege, O Media! I will put an end to all her
groaning.”
The burden of the valley of vision. What aileth thee now, that thou art wholly gone up to the housetops?
This is the burden against the Valley of Vision: What ails you now, that you have all gone up to the rooftops,
For it is a day of trouble, and of
treading down, and of
perplexity by the Lord GOD of hosts in the valley of
vision, breaking down the walls, and of crying to the mountains.
For the Lord GOD of Hosts has set a day of
tumult and
trampling and confusion in the Valley of
Vision— of breaking down the walls and crying to the mountains.
But they also have
erred through wine, and through strong drink are out of the way; the priest and the prophet have
erred through strong drink, they are
swallowed up of wine, they are out of the way through strong drink; they
err in
vision, they
stumble in judgment.
And the multitude of all the nations that fight against
Ariel, even all that fight against her and her
munition, and that distress her, shall be as a dream of a night
vision.
All the many nations going out to battle against
Ariel— even all who war against her, laying siege and attacking her— will be like a dream, like a
vision in the night,
And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed:
And the entire
vision will be to you like the words sealed in a
scroll. If it is handed to someone to read, he will say, “I cannot, because it is sealed.”
Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets,
Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things,
prophesy deceits:
They say to the seers, “Stop seeing
visions!” and to the prophets, “Do not
prophesy to us the truth! Speak to us pleasant words;
prophesy illusions.
Then the LORD said unto me, The prophets
prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they
prophesy unto you a false
vision and
divination, and a thing of
nought, and the
deceit of their heart.
Thus saith the LORD of hosts,
Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that
prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a
vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD.
This is what the LORD of Hosts says: “Do not
listen to the words of the prophets who
prophesy to you. They are filling you with false hopes. They speak
visions from their own minds, not from the mouth of the LORD.
Her gates are sunk into the ground; he hath destroyed and broken her bars: her king and her princes are among the Gentiles: the law is no more; her prophets also find no vision from the LORD.
Her gates have sunk into the ground; He has destroyed and
shattered their bars. Her king and her princes are exiled among the nations, the law is no more, and even her prophets find no
vision from the LORD.
Thy prophets have seen vain and
foolish things for thee: and they have not discovered thine iniquity, to turn away thy captivity; but have seen for thee false burdens and causes of
banishment.
The
visions of your prophets were empty and
deceptive; they did not
expose your guilt to ward off your captivity. The burdens they envisioned for you were empty and misleading.
Now it came to pass in the
thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I was among the
captives by the river of
Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw
visions of God.
In the
thirtieth year, on the fifth day of the fourth month, while I was among the exiles by the River Kebar, the heavens opened and I saw
visions of God.
For the seller shall not return to that which is sold, although they were yet alive: for the
vision is touching the whole multitude thereof, which shall not return; neither shall any
strengthen himself in the iniquity of his life.
The seller will surely not recover what he sold while both remain alive. For the
vision concerning the whole multitude will not be
revoked, and because of their iniquity, not one of them will preserve his life.
Mischief shall come upon mischief, and rumour shall be upon rumour; then shall they seek a vision of the prophet; but the law shall perish from the priest, and counsel from the ancients.
Disaster upon
disaster will come, and
rumor after
rumor. Then they will seek a
vision from a prophet, but instruction from the priests will perish, as will counsel from the elders.
And he put forth the form of an hand, and took me by a
lock of mine head; and the spirit lifted me up between the earth and the heaven, and brought me in the
visions of God to Jerusalem, to the door of the inner gate that looketh toward the north; where was the seat of the image of jealousy, which provoketh to jealousy.
He stretched out what looked like a hand and took me by the hair of my head. Then the Spirit lifted me up between earth and heaven and carried me in
visions of God to Jerusalem, to the entrance of the north gate of the inner court, where the
idol that provokes jealousy was seated.
And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel was there, according to the vision that I saw in the plain.
And there I saw the glory of the God of Israel, like the vision I had seen in the plain.
Afterwards the spirit took me up, and brought me in a
vision by the Spirit of God into
Chaldea, to them of the captivity. So the
vision that I had seen went up from me.
And the Spirit lifted me up and carried me back to
Chaldea, to the exiles in the
vision given by the Spirit of God. After the
vision had gone up from me,
Son of man, what is that
proverb that ye have in the land of Israel, saying, The days are prolonged, and every
vision faileth?
“Son of man, what is this
proverb that you have in the land of Israel: ‘The days go by, and every
vision fails’?
Tell them therefore, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will make this
proverb to cease, and they shall no more use it as a
proverb in Israel; but say unto them, The days are at hand, and the effect of every
vision.
Therefore tell them that this is what the Lord GOD says: ‘I will put an end to this
proverb, and in Israel they will no longer
recite it.’ But say to them: ‘The days are at hand when every
vision will be fulfilled.
For there will be no more false
visions or
flattering divinations within the house of Israel,
Son of man, behold, they of the house of Israel say, The
vision that he
seeth is for many days to come, and he prophesieth of the times that are far off.
“Son of man, take note that the house of Israel is saying, ‘The vision that he sees is for many years from now; he prophesies about the distant future.’
They have seen vanity and lying
divination, saying, The LORD saith: and the LORD hath not sent them: and they have made others to hope that they would
confirm the word.
They see false
visions and speak lying divinations. They claim, ‘Thus declares the LORD,’ when the LORD did not send them; yet they wait for the
fulfillment of their message.
Have ye not seen a vain
vision, and have ye not spoken a lying
divination, whereas ye say, The LORD saith it;
albeit I have not spoken?
Haven’t you seen a false
vision and spoken a lying
divination when you
proclaim, ‘Thus declares the LORD,’ even though I have not spoken?
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye have spoken vanity, and seen lies, therefore, behold, I am against you, saith the Lord GOD.
Therefore this is what the Lord GOD says: Because you have uttered vain words and seen false visions, I am against you, declares the Lord GOD.
And mine hand shall be upon the prophets that see vanity, and that divine lies: they shall not be in the assembly of my people, neither shall they be written in the writing of the house of Israel, neither shall they enter into the land of Israel; and ye shall know that I am the Lord GOD.
My hand will be against the prophets who see false visions and speak lying divinations. They will not belong to the council of My people or be recorded in the register of the house of Israel, nor will they enter the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the Lord GOD.
To wit, the prophets of Israel which
prophesy concerning Jerusalem, and which see
visions of peace for her, and there is no peace, saith the Lord GOD.
those prophets of Israel who
prophesied to Jerusalem and saw a
vision of peace for her when there was no peace, declares the Lord GOD.’
Therefore ye shall see no more vanity, nor divine divinations: for I will deliver my people out of your hand: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
therefore you will no longer see false
visions or practice
divination. I will deliver My people from your hands. Then you will know that I am the LORD.”
Whiles they see vanity unto thee, whiles they divine a lie unto thee, to bring thee upon the necks of them that are slain, of the wicked, whose day is come, when their iniquity shall have an end.
while they offer false visions for you and lying divinations about you— to be placed on the necks of the wicked who are slain, whose day has come, the time of their final punishment.
And her prophets have
daubed them with untempered
morter, seeing vanity, and divining lies unto them, saying, Thus saith the Lord GOD, when the LORD hath not spoken.
Her prophets
whitewash these deeds by false
visions and lying divinations, saying, ‘This is what the Lord GOD says,’ when the LORD has not spoken.
In the visions of God brought he me into the land of Israel, and set me upon a very high mountain, by which was as the frame of a city on the south.
In visions of God He took me to the land of Israel and set me on a very high mountain, on whose southern slope was a structure that resembled a city.
And it was according to the appearance of the
vision which I saw, even according to the
vision that I saw when I came to destroy the city: and the
visions were like the
vision that I saw by the river
Chebar; and I fell upon my face.
The vision I saw was like the vision I had seen when He came to destroy the city and like the visions I had seen by the River Kebar. I fell facedown,
As for these four children, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom: and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.
To these four young men God gave knowledge and understanding in every kind of literature and wisdom. And Daniel had insight into all kinds of visions and dreams.
Then was the secret revealed unto Daniel in a night vision. Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven.
During the night, the
mystery was revealed to Daniel in a
vision, and he blessed the God of heaven
But there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets, and maketh known to the king
Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days. Thy dream, and the
visions of thy head upon thy bed, are these;
But there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries, and He has made known to King
Nebuchadnezzar what will happen in the latter days. Your dream and the
visions that came into your mind as you lay on your bed were these:
I saw a dream which made me afraid, and the thoughts upon my bed and the visions of my head troubled me.
I had a dream, and it
frightened me; while in my bed, the images and
visions in my mind
alarmed me.
O Belteshazzar, master of the magicians, because I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in thee, and no secret troubleth thee, tell me the visions of my dream that I have seen, and the interpretation thereof.
“O Belteshazzar, chief of the magicians, I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in you and that no
mystery baffles you. So explain to me the
visions I saw in my dream, and their interpretation.
Thus were the visions of mine head in my bed; I saw, and behold a tree in the midst of the earth, and the height thereof was great.
In these visions of my mind as I was lying in bed, I saw this come to pass: There was a tree in the midst of the land, and its height was great.
I saw in the visions of my head upon my bed, and, behold, a watcher and an holy one came down from heaven;
As I lay on my bed, I also saw in the visions of my mind a watcher, a holy one, coming down from heaven.
In the first year of
Belshazzar king of Babylon Daniel had a dream and
visions of his head upon his bed: then he wrote the dream, and told the sum of the matters.
In the first year of the reign of
Belshazzar over Babylon, Daniel had a dream, and
visions passed through his mind as he lay on his bed. He wrote down the dream, and this is the summary of his account.
Daniel spake and said, I saw in my
vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven
strove upon the great sea.
Daniel declared: “In my
vision in the night I looked, and suddenly the four winds of heaven were
churning up the great sea.
After this I saw in the night
visions, and behold a fourth beast,
dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it
devoured and
brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was
diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns.
After this, as I watched in my
vision in the night, suddenly a fourth beast appeared, and it was
terrifying—
dreadful and extremely strong—with large iron teeth. It
devoured and
crushed; then it
trampled underfoot whatever was left. It was different from all the beasts before it, and it had ten horns.
I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.
In my vision in the night I continued to watch, and I saw One like the Son of Man coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into His presence.
I Daniel was
grieved in my spirit in the midst of my body, and the
visions of my head troubled me.
I, Daniel, was
grieved in my spirit, and the
visions in my mind
alarmed me.
In the third year of the reign of king
Belshazzar a
vision appeared unto me, even unto me Daniel, after that which appeared unto me at the first.
In the third year of the reign of King
Belshazzar, a
vision appeared to me, Daniel, subsequent to the one that had appeared to me earlier.
And I saw in a
vision; and it came to pass, when I saw, that I was at
Shushan in the palace, which is in the province of
Elam; and I saw in a
vision, and I was by the river of Ulai.
And in the
vision I saw myself in the citadel of
Susa, in the province of
Elam. I saw in the
vision that I was beside the Ulai Canal.
Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the
vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the
transgression of
desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be
trodden under foot?
Then I heard a holy one speaking, and another holy one said to him, “How long until the
fulfillment of the
vision of the daily sacrifice, the rebellion that causes
desolation, and the surrender of the sanctuary and of the host to be
trampled?”
And it came to pass, when I, even I Daniel, had seen the vision, and sought for the meaning, then, behold, there stood before me as the appearance of a man.
While I, Daniel, was watching the vision and trying to understand it, there stood before me one having the appearance of a man.
And I heard a man’s voice between the banks of Ulai, which called, and said,
Gabriel, make this man to understand the
vision.
And I heard the voice of a man calling from between the banks of the Ulai: “
Gabriel, explain the
vision to this man.”
So he came near where I stood: and when he came, I was afraid, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O son of man: for at the time of the end shall be the vision.
As he came near to where I stood, I was
terrified and fell facedown. “Son of man,” he said to me, “understand that the
vision concerns the time of the end.”
And the vision of the evening and the morning which was told is true: wherefore shut thou up the vision; for it shall be for many days.
The vision of the evenings and the mornings that has been spoken is true. Now you must seal up the vision, for it concerns the distant future.”
And I Daniel
fainted, and was sick certain days; afterward I rose up, and did the king’s business; and I was
astonished at the
vision, but none understood it.
I, Daniel, was exhausted and lay ill for days. Then I got up and went about the king’s business. I was confounded by the vision; it was beyond understanding.
Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man
Gabriel, whom I had seen in the
vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening
oblation.
while I was still praying,
Gabriel, the man I had seen in the earlier
vision, came to me in swift flight about the time of the evening sacrifice.
At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to
shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the
vision.
At the beginning of your petitions, an answer went out, and I have come to tell you, for you are highly precious. So consider the message and understand the vision:
Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the
transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make
reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in
everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the
vision and prophecy, and to
anoint the most Holy.
Seventy weeks are decreed for your people and your holy city to stop their
transgression, to put an end to sin, to make
atonement for iniquity, to bring in
everlasting righteousness, to seal up
vision and prophecy, and to
anoint the Most Holy Place.
In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a thing was revealed unto Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar; and the thing was true, but the time appointed was long: and he understood the thing, and had understanding of the vision.
In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia, a message was revealed to Daniel, who was called Belteshazzar. The message was true, and it concerned a great conflict. And the understanding of the message was given to him in a vision.
And I Daniel alone saw the
vision: for the men that were with me saw not the
vision; but a great
quaking fell upon them, so that they fled to hide themselves.
Only I, Daniel, saw the
vision; the men with me did not see it, but a great terror fell upon them, and they ran and
hid themselves.
Therefore I was left alone, and saw this great
vision, and there remained no strength in me: for my
comeliness was turned in me into corruption, and I retained no strength.
So I was left alone,
gazing at this great
vision. No strength remained in me; my face grew deathly pale, and I was powerless.
Now I am come to make thee understand what shall
befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the
vision is for many days.
Now I have come to explain to you what will happen to your people in the latter days, for the vision concerns those days.”
And, behold, one like the
similitude of the sons of men touched my lips: then I opened my mouth, and spake, and said unto him that stood before me, O my lord, by the
vision my sorrows are turned upon me, and I have retained no strength.
And suddenly one with the likeness of a man touched my lips, and I opened my mouth and said to the one standing before me, “My lord, because of the
vision, I am overcome with
anguish, and I have no strength.
And in those times there shall many stand up against the king of the south: also the robbers of thy people shall
exalt themselves to establish the
vision; but they shall fall.
In those times many will rise up against the king of the South. Violent ones among your own people will
exalt themselves in
fulfillment of the
vision, but they will fail.
I have also spoken by the prophets, and I have multiplied visions, and used similitudes, by the ministry of the prophets.
I spoke through the prophets and multiplied their visions; I gave parables through the prophets.
And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall
prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see
visions:
And afterward, I will pour out My Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will
prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see
visions.
The
vision of
Obadiah. Thus saith the Lord GOD concerning
Edom; We have heard a rumour from the LORD, and an ambassador is sent among the heathen, Arise ye, and let us rise up against her in battle.
This is the
vision of
Obadiah: This is what the Lord GOD says about
Edom— We have heard a message from the LORD; an
envoy has been sent among the nations to say, “Rise up, and let us go to battle against her!”—
Therefore night shall be unto you, that ye shall not have a vision; and it shall be dark unto you, that ye shall not divine; and the sun shall go down over the prophets, and the day shall be dark over them.
Therefore night will come over you without
visions, and darkness without
divination. The sun will set on these prophets, and the
daylight will turn black over them.
The burden of
Nineveh. The book of the
vision of
Nahum the Elkoshite.
This is the burden against
Nineveh, the book of the
vision of
Nahum the Elkoshite:
The burden which
Habakkuk the prophet did see.
This is the burden that
Habakkuk the prophet received in a
vision:
And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.
Then the LORD answered me: “Write down this
vision and clearly
inscribe it on tablets, so that a
herald may run with it.
For the
vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it
tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not
tarry.
For the vision awaits an appointed time; it testifies of the end and does not lie. Though it lingers, wait for it, since it will surely come and will not delay.
And it shall come to pass in that day, that the prophets shall be
ashamed every one of his
vision, when he hath
prophesied; neither shall they wear a rough garment to
deceive:
And on that day every prophet who prophesies will be
ashamed of his
vision, and he will not put on a
hairy cloak in order to
deceive.
And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead.
As they were coming down the mountain, Jesus commanded them, “Do not tell
anyone about this
vision until the Son of Man has been raised from the dead.”
And when he came out, he could not speak unto them: and they perceived that he had seen a
vision in the temple: for he
beckoned unto them, and remained speechless.
When he came out and was unable to speak to them, they realized he had seen a vision in the temple. He kept making signs to them but remained speechless.
And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was alive.
but they did not find His body. They came and told us they had seen a vision of angels, who said that Jesus was alive.
And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall
prophesy, and your young men shall see
visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out My Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will
prophesy, your young men will see
visions, your old men will dream dreams.
And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named
Ananias; and to him said the Lord in a
vision,
Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord.
In Damascus there was a disciple named
Ananias. The Lord spoke to him in a
vision, “
Ananias!” “Here I am, Lord,” he answered.
And hath seen in a
vision a man named
Ananias coming in, and putting his hand on him, that he might receive his sight.
In a
vision he has seen a man named
Ananias come and place his hands on him to restore his sight.”
He saw in a
vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him,
Cornelius.
One day at about the ninth hour, he had a clear
vision of an angel of God who came to him and said, “
Cornelius!”
Now while Peter doubted in himself what this
vision which he had seen should mean, behold, the men which were sent from
Cornelius had made
enquiry for Simon’s house, and stood before the gate,
While Peter was
puzzling over the meaning of the
vision, the men sent by
Cornelius found Simon’s house and approached the gate.
While Peter thought on the vision, the Spirit said unto him, Behold, three men seek thee.
As Peter continued to
reflect on the
vision, the Spirit said to him, “Behold, three men are looking for you.
I was in the city of
Joppa praying: and in a
trance I saw a
vision, A certain vessel descend, as it had been a great sheet, let down from heaven by four corners; and it came even to me:
“I was in the city of
Joppa praying, and in a
trance I saw a
vision of something like a large sheet being let down from heaven by its four corners, and it came right down to me.
And he went out, and followed him; and
wist not that it was true which was done by the angel; but thought he saw a
vision.
So Peter followed him out, but he was unaware that what the angel was doing was real. He thought he was only seeing a vision.
And a
vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of
Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into
Macedonia, and help us.
