And I will make your cities
waste, and bring your
sanctuaries unto
desolation, and I will not smell the savour of your sweet odours.
I will reduce your cities to
rubble and lay
waste your
sanctuaries, and I will refuse to smell the pleasing
aroma of your sacrifices.
And I will bring the land into
desolation: and your enemies which dwell therein shall be
astonished at it.
And I will lay
waste the land, so that your enemies who dwell in it will be
appalled.
And I will
scatter you among the heathen, and will draw out a sword after you: and your land shall be
desolate, and your cities
waste.
But I will
scatter you among the nations and will draw out a sword after you as your land becomes
desolate and your cities are laid
waste.
And they that are left of you shall pine away in their iniquity in your enemies’ lands; and also in the
iniquities of their fathers shall they pine away with them.
Those of you who
survive in the lands of your enemies will
waste away in their iniquity and will decay in the sins of their fathers.
In the year of the jubile the field shall return unto him of whom it was bought, even to him to whom the possession of the land did belong.
In the Year of
Jubilee the field shall return to the one from whom it
was bought—the original owner of the land.

carnally, and it be
hid from the eyes of her husband, and be kept close, and she be

consecrate unto the LORD the days of his separation, and shall bring a lamb of the first year for a

And when Moses was gone into the tabernacle of the congregation to speak with him, then he heard the voice of one speaking unto him from off the mercy seat that was upon the ark of testimony, from between the two cherubims: and he spake unto him.
When Moses entered the Tent of Meeting to speak with the LORD, he heard the voice speaking to him from between the two
cherubim above the mercy seat on the ark of the Testimony. Thus the LORD spoke to him.
And this work of the
candlestick was of beaten gold, unto the shaft thereof, unto the flowers thereof,
was beaten work: according unto the pattern which the LORD had shewed Moses, so he made the
candlestick.
This is how the lampstand was constructed: it was made of hammered gold from its base to its blossoms, fashioned according to the pattern the LORD had shown Moses.
And thus shalt thou do unto them, to
cleanse them:
Sprinkle water of
purifying upon them, and let them
shave all their flesh, and let them
wash their clothes, and so make themselves clean.
And the Levites were
purified, and they
washed their clothes; and Aaron offered them as an offering before the LORD; and Aaron made an
atonement for them to
cleanse them.
The Levites
purified themselves and
washed their clothes, and Aaron presented them as a wave offering before the LORD. Aaron also made
atonement for them to
cleanse them.
And if a stranger shall
sojourn among you, and will keep the
passover unto the LORD; according to the
ordinance of the
passover, and according to the manner thereof, so shall he do: ye shall have one
ordinance, both for the stranger, and for him that
was born in the land.
If a foreigner dwelling among you wants to observe the
Passover to the LORD, he is to do so according to the
Passover statute and its ordinances. You are to apply the same statute to both the foreigner and the native of the land.’”
And on the day that the tabernacle was reared up the cloud covered the tabernacle, namely, the tent of the testimony: and at even there was upon the tabernacle as it were the appearance of fire, until the morning.
On the day that the tabernacle, the Tent of the Testimony, was set up, the cloud covered it and appeared like fire above the tabernacle from evening until morning.
So it
was alway: the cloud covered it by day, and the appearance of fire by night.
It remained that way continually; the cloud would cover the tabernacle by day, and at night it would appear like fire.
And when the cloud was taken up from the tabernacle, then after that the children of Israel journeyed: and in the place where the cloud abode, there the children of Israel pitched their tents.
Whenever the cloud was lifted from above the Tent, the Israelites would set out, and wherever the cloud settled, there the Israelites would camp.
And so it was, when the cloud was a few days upon the tabernacle; according to the commandment of the LORD they abode in their tents, and according to the commandment of the LORD they journeyed.
Sometimes the cloud remained over the tabernacle for only a few days, and they would camp at the LORD’s command and set out at the LORD’s command.
And so it was, when the cloud abode from even unto the morning, and that the cloud was taken up in the morning, then they journeyed: whether it was by day or by night that the cloud was taken up, they journeyed.
Sometimes the cloud remained only from evening until morning, and when it lifted in the morning, they would set out. Whether it was by day or by night, when the cloud was taken up, they would set out.
Or whether it were two days, or a month, or a year, that the cloud
tarried upon the tabernacle, remaining
thereon, the children of Israel abode in their tents, and journeyed not: but when it
was taken up, they journeyed.
Whether the cloud
lingered for two days, a month, or longer, the Israelites camped and did not set out as long as the cloud remained over the tabernacle; but when it
was lifted, they would set out.
And it came to pass on the
twentieth day of the second month, in the second year, that the cloud
was taken up from off the tabernacle of the testimony.
On the
twentieth day of the second month of the second year, the cloud
was lifted from above the tabernacle of the Testimony,
In the first place went the standard of the camp of the children of Judah according to their armies: and over his host

Issachar,
And over the host of the tribe of the children of
Zebulun was Eliab the son of Helon.
and Eliab son of Helon
was over the division of the tribe of
Zebulun.
And the tabernacle was taken down; and the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari set forward, bearing the tabernacle.
Then the tabernacle was taken down, and the Gershonites and the Merarites set out, transporting it.
And the standard of the camp of
Reuben set forward according to their armies: and over his host
was Elizur the son of Shedeur.
Then the divisions of the camp of
Reuben set out under their standard, with Elizur son of Shedeur in command.
And over the host of the tribe of the children of
Simeon was Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.
Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai
was over the division of the tribe of
Simeon,
And over the host of the tribe of the children of
Gad was Eliasaph the son of Deuel.
and Eliasaph son of Deuel
was over the division of the tribe of
Gad.
And the Kohathites set forward, bearing the sanctuary: and the other did set up the tabernacle against they came.
Then the Kohathites set out, transporting the holy objects; the tabernacle was to be set up before their arrival.
And the standard of the camp of the children of Ephraim set forward according to their armies: and over his host was Elishama the son of Ammihud.
Next, the divisions of the camp of Ephraim set out under their standard, with Elishama son of Ammihud in command.
And over the host of the tribe of the children of
Manasseh was Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.
And over the host of the tribe of the children of Benjamin was Abidan the son of Gideoni.
and Abidan son of Gideoni was over the division of the tribe of Benjamin.
And the standard of the camp of the children of
Dan set forward, which
was the rereward of all the camps throughout their hosts: and over his host
was Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.
Finally, the divisions of the camp of
Dan set out under their standard, serving as the rear guard for all units, with Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai in command.
And over the host of the tribe of the children of Asher was Pagiel the son of Ocran.
Pagiel son of Ocran was over the division of the tribe of Asher,
And over the host of the tribe of the children of
Naphtali was Ahira the son of Enan.
and Ahira son of Enan
was over the division of the tribe of
Naphtali.
Thus were the journeyings of the children of Israel according to their armies, when they set forward.
This
was the order of march for the
Israelite divisions as they set out.
And the cloud of the LORD was upon them by day, when they went out of the camp.
And the cloud of the LORD was over them by day when they set out from the camp.
And when the people
complained, it displeased the LORD: and the LORD heard it; and his anger
was kindled; and the fire of the LORD burnt among them, and consumed them that were in the
uttermost parts of the camp.
Soon the people began to
complain about their
hardship in the hearing of the LORD, and when He heard them, His anger
was kindled, and fire from the LORD
blazed among them and consumed the outskirts of the camp.
And the people
cried unto Moses; and when Moses prayed unto the LORD, the fire
was quenched.
And the people
cried out to Moses, and he prayed to the LORD, and the fire died down.
And he called the name of the place Taberah: because the fire of the LORD burnt among them.
So that place was called Taberah, because the fire of the LORD had burned among them.
And the
mixt multitude that
was among them fell a
lusting: and the children of Israel also
wept again, and said, Who shall give us flesh to eat?
Meanwhile, the
rabble among them had a strong
craving for other food, and again the Israelites
wept and said, “Who will feed us meat?
Now the
manna resembled
coriander seed, and its appearance
was like that of gum resin.
And the people went about, and gathered it, and ground it in mills, or beat it in a mortar, and
baked it in pans, and made cakes of it: and the taste of it
was as the taste of fresh oil.
The people walked around and gathered it, ground it on a
handmill or
crushed it in a mortar, then boiled it in a
cooking pot or shaped it into cakes. It tasted like
pastry baked with fine oil.
Then Moses heard the people
weep throughout their families, every man in the door of his tent: and the anger of the LORD
was kindled greatly; Moses also
was displeased.
Then Moses heard the people of family after family
weeping at the entrances to their tents, and the anger of the LORD
was kindled greatly, and Moses
was also displeased.
And say thou unto the people,
Sanctify yourselves against to
morrow, and ye shall eat flesh: for ye have
wept in the ears of the LORD, saying, Who shall give us flesh to eat? for it
was well with us in Egypt: therefore the LORD will give you flesh, and ye shall eat.
And say to the people:
Consecrate yourselves for
tomorrow, and you will eat meat, because you have
cried out in the hearing of the LORD, saying: ‘Who will feed us meat? For we were better off in Egypt!’ Therefore the LORD will give you meat, and you will eat.
And the LORD came down in a cloud, and spake unto him, and took of the spirit that
was upon him, and gave it unto the seventy elders: and it came to pass, that, when the spirit rested upon them, they
prophesied, and did not cease.
Then the LORD came down in the cloud and spoke to him, and He took some of the Spirit that
was on Moses and placed that Spirit on the seventy elders. As the Spirit rested on them, they
prophesied—but they never did so again.
But there remained two of the men in the camp, the name of the one
was Eldad, and the name of the other Medad: and the spirit rested upon them; and they were of them that were written, but went not out unto the tabernacle: and they
prophesied in the camp.
Two men, however, had remained in the camp—one named
Eldad and the other Medad—and the Spirit rested on them. They were among those listed, but they had not gone out to the tent, and they
prophesied in the camp.
And while the flesh
was yet between their teeth,
ere it
was chewed, the wrath of the LORD
was kindled against the people, and the LORD
smote the people with a very great plague.
But while the meat
was still between their teeth, before it
was chewed, the anger of the LORD burned against the people, and the LORD struck them with a severe plague.
(Now the man Moses
was very
meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.)
Now Moses was a very humble man, more so than any man on the face of the earth.
And the anger of the LORD
was kindled against them; and he departed.
So the anger of the LORD burned against them, and He departed.
And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold,
Miriam became
leprous, white as snow: and Aaron looked upon
Miriam, and, behold, she
was leprous.
As the cloud lifted from above the Tent, suddenly
Miriam became
leprous, white as snow. Aaron turned toward her, saw that she
was leprous,
