And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall
bless thy bread, and thy water; and I
will take sickness away from the midst of thee.
So you shall serve the LORD your God, and He
will bless your bread and your water. And I
will take away sickness from among you.
There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil.
No woman in your land
will miscarry or be barren; I
will fulfill the number of your days.
I will send my fear before thee, and will destroy all the people to whom thou shalt come, and I will make all thine enemies turn their backs unto thee.
I
will send My terror
ahead of you and throw into confusion every nation you
encounter. I
will make all your enemies turn and run.
And I
will send hornets before thee, which shall drive out the Hivite, the
Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before thee.
I
will not drive them out from before thee in one year; lest the land become
desolate, and the beast of the field multiply against thee.
I
will not drive them out before you in a single year; otherwise the land would become
desolate and wild animals would multiply against you.
By little and little I
will drive them out from before thee, until thou be increased, and
inherit the land.
Little by little I
will drive them out
ahead of you, until you become fruitful and possess the land.
And I will set thy bounds from the Red sea even unto the sea of the Philistines, and from the desert unto the river: for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand; and thou shalt drive them out before thee.
And I will establish your borders from the Red Sea to the Sea of the Philistines, and from the desert to the Euphrates. For I will deliver the inhabitants into your hand, and you will drive them out before you.
They shall not dwell in thy land, lest they make thee sin against me: for if thou serve their gods, it
will surely be a
snare unto thee.
They must not remain in your land, lest they cause you to sin against Me. For if you serve their gods, it
will surely be a
snare to you.”
And Moses came and told the people all the words of the LORD, and all the judgments: and all the people answered with one voice, and said, All the words which the LORD hath said will we do.
When Moses came and told the people all the words and ordinances of the LORD, they all
responded with one voice: “All the words that the LORD has spoken, we
will do.”
And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the
audience of the people: and they said, All that the LORD hath said
will we do, and be
obedient.
Then he took the Book of the Covenant and read it to the people, who replied, “All that the LORD has spoken we
will do, and we
will be
obedient.”
And the LORD said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them.
Then the LORD said to Moses, “Come up to Me on the mountain and stay here, so that I may give you the tablets of stone, with the law and commandments I have written for their instruction.”
Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring me an offering: of every man that giveth it willingly with his heart ye shall take my offering.
“Tell the Israelites to bring Me an offering. You are to receive My offering from every man whose heart compels him.
And thou shalt put into the ark the testimony which I shall give thee.
And place inside the ark the Testimony, which I will give you.
And thou shalt put the mercy seat above upon the ark; and in the ark thou shalt put the testimony that I shall give thee.
Set the mercy seat
atop the ark, and put the Testimony that I
will give you into the ark.
And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubims which are upon the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel.
And I
will meet with you there above the mercy seat, between the two
cherubim that are over the ark of the Testimony; I
will speak with you about all that I command you regarding the Israelites.
And thou shalt make fifty taches of gold, and couple the curtains together with the taches: and it shall be one tabernacle.
Make fifty gold clasps as well, and join the curtains together with the clasps, so that the tabernacle will be a unit.
And a
cubit on the one side, and a
cubit on the other side of that which remaineth in the length of the curtains of the tent, it shall
hang over the sides of the tabernacle on this side and on that side, to cover it.
And the tent curtains
will be a
cubit longer on either side, and the excess
will hang over the sides of the tabernacle to cover it.
And they shall be coupled together beneath, and they shall be coupled together above the head of it unto one ring: thus shall it be for them both; they shall be for the two corners.
coupled together from bottom to top and fitted into a single ring. These will serve as the two corners.
And thou shalt
hang up the
vail under the taches, that thou mayest bring in thither within the
vail the ark of the testimony: and the
vail shall divide unto you between the holy place and the most holy.
And
hang the
veil from the clasps and place the ark of the Testimony behind the
veil. So the
veil will separate the Holy Place from the Most Holy Place.
And thou shalt put in the
breastplate of judgment the
Urim and the
Thummim; and they shall be upon Aaron’s heart, when he goeth in before the LORD: and Aaron shall bear the judgment of the children of Israel upon his heart before the LORD continually.
And place the
Urim and
Thummim in the breastpiece of judgment, so that they
will also be over Aaron’s heart whenever he comes before the LORD. Aaron
will continually carry the judgment of the sons of Israel over his heart before the LORD.
And there shall be an hole in the top of it, in the midst thereof: it shall have a binding of
woven work round about the hole of it, as it were the hole of an
habergeon, that it be not rent.
with an opening at its top in the center. Around the opening shall be a
woven collar with an opening like that of a garment, so that it
will not
tear.
And it shall be upon Aaron to minister: and his sound shall be heard when he goeth in unto the holy place before the LORD, and when he cometh out, that he die not.
Aaron must wear the
robe whenever he ministers, and its sound
will be heard when he enters or exits the sanctuary before the LORD, so that he
will not die.
And it shall be upon Aaron’s
forehead, that Aaron may bear the iniquity of the holy things, which the children of Israel shall
hallow in all their holy gifts; and it shall be always upon his
forehead, that they may be accepted before the LORD.
And it
will be worn on Aaron’s
forehead, so that he may bear the iniquity of the holy things that the sons of Israel
consecrate with regard to all their holy gifts. It shall always be on his
forehead, so that they may be acceptable before the LORD.
And they shall be upon Aaron, and upon his sons, when they come in unto the tabernacle of the congregation, or when they come near unto the altar to minister in the holy place; that they bear not iniquity, and die: it shall be a statute for ever unto him and his seed after him.
Aaron and his sons must wear them whenever they enter the Tent of Meeting or approach the altar to minister in the Holy Place, so that they
will not
incur guilt and die. This is to be a permanent statute for Aaron and his descendants.
And thou shalt take of the blood that is upon the altar, and of the
anointing oil, and
sprinkle it upon Aaron, and upon his garments, and upon his sons, and upon the garments of his sons with him: and he shall be
hallowed, and his garments, and his sons, and his sons’ garments with him.
And take some of the blood on the altar and some of the
anointing oil and
sprinkle it on Aaron and his garments, as well as on his sons and their garments. Then he and his garments
will be consecrated, as well as his sons and their garments.
And thou shalt take the breast of the ram of Aaron’s
consecration, and wave it for a wave offering before the LORD: and it shall be thy part.
Take the breast of the ram of Aaron’s
ordination and wave it before the LORD as a wave offering, and it
will be your portion.
And it shall be Aaron’s and his sons’ by a statute for ever from the children of Israel: for it is an
heave offering: and it shall be an
heave offering from the children of Israel of the sacrifice of their peace offerings, even their
heave offering unto the LORD.
This
will belong to Aaron and his sons as a regular portion from the Israelites, for it is the
heave offering the Israelites
will make to the LORD from their peace offerings.
And the holy garments of Aaron shall be his sons’ after him, to be
anointed therein, and to be consecrated in them.
The holy garments that belong to Aaron
will belong to his sons after him, so they can be
anointed and ordained in them.
Seven days thou shalt make an
atonement for the altar, and
sanctify it; and it shall be an altar most holy:
whatsoever toucheth the altar shall be holy.
For seven days you shall make
atonement for the altar and
consecrate it. Then the altar
will become most holy; whatever touches the altar
will be holy.
This shall be a continual burnt offering throughout your generations at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the LORD: where I will meet you, to speak there unto thee.
For the generations to come, this burnt offering shall be made regularly at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting before the LORD, where I will meet you to speak with you.
And there I
will meet with the children of Israel, and the tabernacle shall be
sanctified by my glory.
I will also meet with the Israelites there, and that place will be consecrated by My glory.
And I
will sanctify the tabernacle of the congregation, and the altar: I
will sanctify also both Aaron and his sons, to minister to me in the priest’s office.
So I
will consecrate the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and I
will consecrate Aaron and his sons to serve Me as priests.
And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will be their God.
Then I will dwell among the Israelites and be their God.
And they shall know that I am the LORD their God, that brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, that I may dwell among them: I am the LORD their God.
And they will know that I am the LORD their God, who brought them out of the land of Egypt so that I might dwell among them. I am the LORD their God.
And thou shalt put it before the
vail that is by the ark of the testimony, before the mercy seat that is over the testimony, where I
will meet with thee.
Place the altar in front of the
veil that is before the ark of the Testimony—before the mercy seat that is over the Testimony—where I
will meet with you.
When thou takest the sum of the children of Israel after their number, then shall they give every man a
ransom for his soul unto the LORD, when thou numberest them; that there be no plague among them, when thou numberest them.
“When you take a census of the Israelites to number them, each man must pay the LORD a
ransom for his life when he is counted. Then no plague
will come upon them when they are numbered.
And thou shalt take the
atonement money of the children of Israel, and shalt
appoint it for the service of the tabernacle of the congregation; that it may be a
memorial unto the children of Israel before the LORD, to make an
atonement for your souls.
Take the
atonement money from the Israelites and use it for the service of the Tent of Meeting. It
will serve as a
memorial for the Israelites before the LORD to make
atonement for your lives.”
When they go into the tabernacle of the congregation, they shall wash with water, that they die not; or when they come near to the altar to minister, to burn offering made by fire unto the LORD:
Whenever they enter the Tent of Meeting or approach the altar to minister by presenting an offering made by fire to the LORD, they must wash with water so that they will not die.
So they shall wash their hands and their feet, that they die not: and it shall be a statute for ever to them, even to him and to his seed throughout their generations.
Thus they are to wash their hands and feet so that they will not die; this shall be a permanent statute for Aaron and his descendants for the generations to come.”
And thou shalt
sanctify them, that they may be most holy:
whatsoever toucheth them shall be holy.
You are to
consecrate them so that they
will be most holy. Whatever touches them shall be holy.
And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, This shall be an holy
anointing oil unto me throughout your generations.
And you are to tell the Israelites, ‘This
will be My sacred
anointing oil for the generations to come.
And thou shalt beat some of it very small, and put of it before the testimony in the tabernacle of the congregation, where I will meet with thee: it shall be unto you most holy.
Grind some of it into fine powder and place it in front of the Testimony in the Tent of Meeting, where I
will meet with you. It shall be most holy to you.
Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying,
Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that
doth sanctify you.
“Tell the Israelites, ‘Surely you must keep My Sabbaths, for this will be a sign between Me and you for the generations to come, so that you may know that I am the LORD who sanctifies you.
And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we
wot not what is become of him.
Now when the people saw that Moses was delayed in coming down from the mountain, they gathered around Aaron and said, “Come, make us gods who will go before us. As for this Moses who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has happened to him!”
Now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may wax hot against them, and that I may
consume them: and I
will make of thee a great nation.
Now leave Me alone, so that My anger may burn against them and
consume them. Then I
will make you into a great nation.”
Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, thy servants, to whom thou swarest by thine own self, and saidst unto them, I
will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven, and all this land that I have spoken of
will I give unto your seed, and they shall
inherit it for ever.
Remember Your servants Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, to whom You
swore by Your very self when You declared, ‘I
will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky, and I
will give your descendants all this land that I have promised, and it shall be their inheritance
forever.’”
For they said unto me, Make us gods, which shall go before us: for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we
wot not what is become of him.
They told me, ‘Make us gods who will go before us. As for this Moses who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has happened to him!’
And it came to pass on the
morrow, that Moses said unto the people, Ye have
sinned a great sin: and now I
will go up unto the LORD;
peradventure I shall make an
atonement for your sin.
The next day Moses said to the people, “You have committed a great sin. Now I
will go up to the LORD; perhaps I can make
atonement for your sin.”
And the LORD said unto Moses,
Whosoever hath
sinned against me, him
will I
blot out of my book.
The LORD replied to Moses, “
Whoever has
sinned against Me, I
will blot out of My book.
Therefore now go, lead the people unto the place of which I have spoken unto thee: behold, mine Angel shall go before thee: nevertheless in the day when I visit I will visit their sin upon them.
Now go, lead the people to the place I described. Behold, My angel shall go before you. But on the day I settle accounts, I
will punish them for their sin.”
And the LORD said unto Moses, Depart, and go up hence, thou and the people which thou hast brought up out of the land of Egypt, unto the land which I
sware unto Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, Unto thy seed
will I give it:
Then the LORD said to Moses, “Leave this place, you and the people you brought up out of the land of Egypt, and go to the land that I promised to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob when I said, ‘I will give it to your descendants.’
And I
will send an angel before thee; and I
will drive out the
Canaanite, the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite:
Unto a land flowing with milk and honey: for I
will not go up in the midst of thee; for thou art a stiffnecked people: lest I
consume thee in the way.
Go up to a land flowing with milk and honey. But I will not go with you, because you are a stiff-necked people; otherwise, I might destroy you on the way.”
For the LORD had said unto Moses, Say unto the children of Israel, Ye are a stiffnecked people: I
will come up into the midst of thee in a moment, and
consume thee: therefore now put off thy ornaments from thee, that I may know what to do unto thee.
For the LORD had said to Moses, “Tell the Israelites, ‘You are a stiff-necked people. If I should go with you for a single moment, I would destroy you. Now take off your
jewelry, and I
will decide what to do with you.’”
And Moses said unto the LORD, See, thou sayest unto me, Bring up this people: and thou hast not let me know whom thou
wilt send with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee by name, and thou hast also found grace in my sight.
Then Moses said to the LORD, “Look, You have been telling me, ‘Lead this people up,’ but You have not let me know whom You will send with me. Yet You have said, ‘I know you by name, and you have found favor in My sight.’
And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.
And the LORD answered, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”
For wherein shall it be known here that I and thy people have found grace in thy sight? is it not in that thou goest with us? so shall we be separated, I and thy people, from all the people that are upon the face of the earth.
For how then can it be known that Your people and I have found favor in Your sight, unless You go with us? How else will we be distinguished from all the other people on the face of the earth?”
And the LORD said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name.
So the LORD said to Moses, “I will do this very thing you have asked, for you have found favor in My sight, and I know you by name.”
And he said, I
will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I
will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and
will be
gracious to whom I
will be
gracious, and
will shew mercy on whom I
will shew mercy.
“I
will cause all My goodness to pass before you,” the LORD replied, “and I
will proclaim My name—the LORD—in your presence. I
will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I
will have
compassion on whom I have
compassion.”
And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I
will put thee in a
clift of the rock, and
will cover thee with my hand while I pass by:
and when My glory passes by, I
will put you in a
cleft of the rock and cover you with My hand until I have passed by.
And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.
Then I will take My hand away, and you will see My back; but My face must not be seen.”
And the LORD said unto Moses,
Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first: and I
will write upon these tables the words that were in the first tables, which thou brakest.
Then the LORD said to Moses, “
Chisel out two stone tablets like the originals, and I
will write on them the words that were on the first tablets, which you broke.
Keeping mercy for thousands,
forgiving iniquity and
transgression and sin, and that
will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.
maintaining loving devotion to a thousand generations,
forgiving iniquity,
transgression, and sin. Yet He
will by no means leave the guilty unpunished; He
will visit the iniquity of the fathers on their children and grandchildren to the third and fourth generations.”
And he said, Behold, I make a covenant: before all thy people I will do marvels, such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation: and all the people among which thou art shall see the work of the LORD: for it is a terrible thing that I will do with thee.
And the LORD said, “Behold, I am making a covenant. Before all your people I
will perform wonders that have never been done in any nation in all the world. All the people among whom you live
will see the LORD’s work, for it is an
awesome thing that I am doing with you.
Observe thou that which I command thee this day: behold, I drive out before thee the Amorite, and the
Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite.
Lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a
whoring after their gods, and do sacrifice unto their gods, and one call thee, and thou eat of his sacrifice;
Do not make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, for when they
prostitute themselves to their gods and sacrifice to them, they
will invite you, and you
will eat their sacrifices.
And thou take of their daughters unto thy sons, and their daughters go a
whoring after their gods, and make thy sons go a
whoring after their gods.
And when you take some of their daughters as brides for your sons, their daughters
will prostitute themselves to their gods and cause your sons to do the same.
For I
will cast out the nations before thee, and
enlarge thy borders: neither shall any man desire thy land, when thou shalt go up to appear before the LORD thy God
thrice in the year.
For I
will drive out the nations before you and
enlarge your borders, and no one
will covet your land when you go up three times a year to appear before the LORD your God.
Take ye from among you an offering unto the LORD:
whosoever is of a
willing heart, let him bring it, an offering of the LORD; gold, and silver, and brass,
Take from among you an offering to the LORD. Let
everyone whose heart is
willing bring an offering to the LORD: gold, silver, and bronze;
And they came, every one whose heart
stirred him up, and every one whom his spirit made
willing, and they brought the LORD’S offering to the work of the tabernacle of the congregation, and for all his service, and for the holy garments.
And
everyone whose heart
stirred him and whose spirit
prompted him came and brought an offering to the LORD for the work on the Tent of Meeting, for all its services, and for the holy garments.
And they came, both men and women, as many as were willing hearted, and brought bracelets, and earrings, and rings, and tablets, all jewels of gold: and every man that offered offered an offering of gold unto the LORD.
So all who had
willing hearts, both men and women, came and brought brooches and earrings, rings and necklaces, and all kinds of gold
jewelry. And they all presented their gold as a wave offering to the LORD.
The children of Israel brought a willing offering unto the LORD, every man and woman, whose heart made them willing to bring for all manner of work, which the LORD had commanded to be made by the hand of Moses.
So all the men and women of the Israelites whose hearts
prompted them brought a
freewill offering to the LORD for all the work that the LORD through Moses had commanded them to do.
And thou shalt
anoint them, as thou
didst anoint their father, that they may minister unto me in the priest’s office: for their
anointing shall surely be an
everlasting priesthood throughout their generations.
Anoint them just as you
anointed their father, so that they may also serve Me as priests. Their
anointing will qualify them for a permanent priesthood throughout their generations.”
If his offering be a burnt sacrifice of the
herd, let him offer a male without
blemish: he shall offer it of his own voluntary
will at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the LORD.
If one’s offering is a burnt offering from the
herd, he is to present an
unblemished male. He must bring it to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting for its acceptance before the LORD.
And when any
will offer a meat offering unto the LORD, his offering shall be of fine flour; and he shall pour oil upon it, and put
frankincense thereon:
“When
anyone brings a grain offering to the LORD, his offering must consist of fine flour. He is to pour olive oil on it, put
frankincense on it,
And he shall do with the
bullock as he did with the
bullock for a sin offering, so shall he do with this: and the priest shall make an
atonement for them, and it shall be
forgiven them.
He shall offer this bull just as he did the bull for the sin offering; in this way the priest
will make
atonement on their behalf, and they
will be
forgiven.
And he shall burn all his fat upon the altar, as the fat of the sacrifice of peace offerings: and the priest shall make an
atonement for him as concerning his sin, and it shall be
forgiven him.
He must burn all its fat on the altar, like the fat of the peace offerings; thus the priest
will make
atonement for that man’s sin, and he
will be
forgiven.
And he shall take away all the fat thereof, as the fat is taken away from off the sacrifice of peace offerings; and the priest shall burn it upon the altar for a sweet savour unto the LORD; and the priest shall make an
atonement for him, and it shall be
forgiven him.
Then he is to remove all the fat, just as it is removed from the peace offering, and the priest is to burn it on the altar as a pleasing
aroma to the LORD. In this way the priest
will make
atonement for him, and he
will be
forgiven.
And he shall take away all the fat thereof, as the fat of the lamb is taken away from the sacrifice of the peace offerings; and the priest shall burn them upon the altar, according to the offerings made by fire unto the LORD: and the priest shall make an
atonement for his sin that he hath committed, and it shall be
forgiven him.
And he shall remove all the fat, just as the fat of the lamb is removed from the peace offerings, and he shall burn it on the altar along with the offerings made by fire to the LORD. In this way the priest
will make
atonement for him for the sin he has committed, and he
will be
forgiven.
And he shall bring his
trespass offering unto the LORD for his sin which he hath
sinned, a female from the flock, a lamb or a
kid of the goats, for a sin offering; and the priest shall make an
atonement for him concerning his sin.
and he must bring his guilt offering to the LORD for the sin he has committed: a female lamb or goat from the flock as a sin offering. And the priest
will make
atonement for him concerning his sin.
And he shall offer the second for a burnt offering, according to the manner: and the priest shall make an
atonement for him for his sin which he hath
sinned, and it shall be
forgiven him.
And the priest must prepare the second bird as a burnt offering according to the
ordinance. In this way the priest
will make
atonement for him for the sin he has committed, and he
will be
forgiven.
And the priest shall make an
atonement for him as touching his sin that he hath
sinned in one of these, and it shall be
forgiven him: and the
remnant shall be the priest’s, as a meat offering.
In this way the priest
will make
atonement for him for any of these sins he has committed, and he
will be
forgiven. The remainder
will belong to the priest, like the grain offering.”
And he shall make
amends for the
harm that he hath done in the holy thing, and shall add the fifth part
thereto, and give it unto the priest: and the priest shall make an
atonement for him with the ram of the
trespass offering, and it shall be
forgiven him.
Regarding any holy thing he has
harmed, he must make
restitution by adding a fifth of its value to it and giving it to the priest, who
will make
atonement on his behalf with the ram as a guilt offering, and he
will be
forgiven.
And he shall bring a ram without
blemish out of the flock, with thy
estimation, for a
trespass offering, unto the priest: and the priest shall make an
atonement for him concerning his ignorance wherein he
erred and
wist it not, and it shall be
forgiven him.
He is to bring to the priest an
unblemished ram of proper value from the flock as a guilt offering. Then the priest
will make
atonement on his behalf for the wrong he has committed in ignorance, and he
will be
forgiven.
And the priest shall make an
atonement for him before the LORD: and it shall be
forgiven him for any thing of all that he hath done in
trespassing therein.
In this way the priest
will make
atonement for him before the LORD, and he
will be
forgiven for anything he may have done to
incur guilt.”
All the males among the children of Aaron shall eat of it. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations concerning the offerings of the LORD made by fire: every one that toucheth them shall be holy.
Any male among the sons of Aaron may eat it. This is a permanent portion from the offerings made by fire to the LORD for the generations to come. Anything that touches them will become holy.”
And the priest of his sons that is
anointed in his
stead shall offer it: it is a statute for ever unto the LORD, it shall be wholly burnt.
The priest, who is one of Aaron’s sons and
will be
anointed to take his place, is to prepare it. As a permanent portion for the LORD, it must be burned completely.
Whatsoever shall touch the flesh thereof shall be holy: and when there is
sprinkled of the blood thereof upon any garment, thou shalt wash that
whereon it was
sprinkled in the holy place.
Anything that touches its flesh
will become holy, and if any of the blood is
spattered on a garment, you must wash it in a holy place.
And if any of the flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offerings be eaten at all on the third day, it shall not be accepted, neither shall it be imputed unto him that offereth it: it shall be an
abomination, and the soul that eateth of it shall bear his iniquity.
If any of the meat from his peace offering is eaten on the third day, it
will not be accepted. It
will not be credited to the one who presented it; it shall be an
abomination, and the one who eats of it shall bear his iniquity.
And ye shall not go out of the door of the tabernacle of the congregation in seven days, until the days of your
consecration be at an end: for seven days shall he
consecrate you.
You must not go outside the entrance to the Tent of Meeting for seven days, until the days of your
ordination are complete; for it
will take seven days to
ordain you.
Therefore shall ye
abide at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation day and night seven days, and keep the charge of the LORD, that ye die not: for so I am commanded.
You must remain at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting day and night for seven days and keep the LORD’s charge so that you will not die, for this is what I have been commanded.”
Also a
bullock and a ram for peace offerings, to sacrifice before the LORD; and a meat offering mingled with oil: for to day the LORD
will appear unto you.
an ox and a ram for a peace offering to sacrifice before the LORD, and a grain offering mixed with oil. For
today the LORD
will appear to you.’”
Then Moses said unto Aaron, This is it that the LORD spake, saying, I
will be
sanctified in them that come
nigh me, and before all the people I
will be
glorified. And Aaron held his peace.
Then Moses said to Aaron, “This is what the LORD meant when He said: ‘To those who come near Me I
will show My
holiness, and in the sight of all the people I
will reveal My glory.’” But Aaron remained silent.
And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto
Eleazar and unto
Ithamar, his sons, Uncover not your heads, neither
rend your clothes; lest ye die, and lest wrath come upon all the people: but let your brethren, the whole house of Israel,
bewail the burning which the LORD hath
kindled.
Then Moses said to Aaron and his sons
Eleazar and
Ithamar, “Do not let your hair become
disheveled and do not
tear your garments, or else you
will die, and the LORD
will be
angry with the whole congregation. But your brothers, the whole house of Israel, may
mourn on account of the fire that the LORD has
ignited.
And ye shall not go out from the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: for the
anointing oil of the LORD is upon you. And they did according to the word of Moses.
You shall not go outside the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, or you
will die, for the LORD’s
anointing oil is on you.” So they did as Moses
instructed.
Do not drink wine nor strong drink, thou, nor thy sons with thee, when ye go into the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations:
“You and your sons are not to drink wine or strong drink when you enter the Tent of Meeting, or else you will die; this is a permanent statute for the generations to come.
The
heave shoulder and the wave breast shall they bring with the offerings made by fire of the fat, to wave it for a wave offering before the LORD; and it shall be thine, and thy sons’ with thee, by a statute for ever; as the LORD hath commanded.
They are to bring the
thigh of the contribution and the breast of the wave offering, together with the fat portions of the offerings made by fire, to wave as a wave offering before the LORD. It
will belong permanently to you and your children, as the LORD has commanded.”
And for these ye shall be unclean:
whosoever toucheth the
carcase of them shall be unclean until the even.
These creatures
will make you unclean.
Whoever touches their
carcasses will be unclean until evening,
