whosoever beareth ought of the
carcase of them shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even.
and
whoever picks up one of their
carcasses must wash his clothes, and he
will be unclean until evening.
The carcases of every beast which divideth the
hoof, and is not clovenfooted, nor cheweth the
cud, are unclean unto you: every one that toucheth them shall be unclean.
Every animal with
hooves not completely divided or that does not
chew the
cud is unclean for you.
Whoever touches any of them
will be unclean.
And
whatsoever goeth upon his paws, among all manner of beasts that go on all four, those are unclean unto you:
whoso toucheth their
carcase shall be unclean until the even.
All the four-footed animals that walk on their paws are unclean for you;
whoever touches their
carcasses will be unclean until evening,
And he that beareth the
carcase of them shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even: they are unclean unto you.

anyone who picks up a
carcass must wash his clothes, and he
will be unclean until evening. They are unclean for you.
And upon
whatsoever any of them, when they are dead,
doth fall, it shall be unclean; whether it be any vessel of wood, or
raiment, or skin, or
sack,
whatsoever vessel it be, wherein any work is done, it must be put into water, and it shall be unclean until the even; so it shall be
cleansed.

sackcloth, or any
implement used for work must be
rinsed with water and
will remain unclean until evening; then it
will be clean.
If any of them falls into a clay pot, everything in it will be unclean; you must break the pot.
Of all meat which may be eaten, that on which such water cometh shall be unclean: and all drink that may be
drunk in every such vessel shall be unclean.

And every thing
whereupon any part of their
carcase falleth shall be unclean; whether it be
oven, or ranges for pots, they shall be broken down: for they are unclean, and shall be unclean unto you.
Anything upon which one of their
carcasses falls
will be unclean. If it is an
oven or
cooking pot, it must be
smashed; it is unclean and
will remain unclean for you.
Nevertheless a fountain or pit, wherein there is
plenty of water, shall be clean: but that which toucheth their
carcase shall be unclean.

cistern containing water
will remain clean, but one who touches a
carcass in it
will be unclean.
And if any beast, of which ye may eat, die; he that toucheth the
carcase thereof shall be unclean until the even.

anyone who touches the
carcass will be unclean until evening.
And he that eateth of the
carcase of it shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even: he also that beareth the
carcase of it shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even.

carcass must wash his clothes and
will be unclean until evening, and
anyone who picks up the
carcass must wash his clothes and
will be unclean until evening.

infirmity shall she be unclean.
“Say to the Israelites, ‘A woman who becomes
pregnant and gives birth to a son
will be unclean for seven days, as she is during the days of her
menstruation.
But if she bear a
maid child, then she shall be unclean two weeks, as in her separation: and she shall continue in the blood of her
purifying threescore and six days.
If, however, she gives birth to a daughter, the woman
will be unclean for two weeks as she is during her
menstruation. Then she must continue in
purification from her
bleeding for sixty-six days.
Who shall offer it before the LORD, and make an
atonement for her; and she shall be
cleansed from the issue of her blood. This is the law for her that hath born a male or a female.
And the priest
will present them before the LORD and make
atonement for her; and she shall be
ceremonially cleansed from her flow of blood. This is the law for a woman giving birth, whether to a male or to a female.
And if she be not able to bring a lamb, then she shall bring two turtles, or two young pigeons; the one for the burnt offering, and the other for a sin offering: and the priest shall make an
atonement for her, and she shall be clean.
But if she cannot afford a lamb, she shall bring two turtledoves or two young pigeons, one for a burnt offering and the other for a sin offering. Then the priest
will make
atonement for her, and she
will be clean.’”

pronounce him clean: it is but a
scab: and he shall wash his clothes, and be clean.

will examine him again on the seventh day, and if the
sore has
faded and has not spread on the skin, the priest shall
pronounce him clean; it is a
rash. The person must wash his clothes and be clean.
And if the priest see that, behold, the
scab spreadeth in the skin, then the priest shall
pronounce him unclean: it is a
leprosy.

pronounce him unclean; he has a skin disease.
And the priest shall see him: and, behold, if the rising be white in the skin, and it have turned the hair white, and there be quick raw flesh in the rising;
The priest will examine him, and if there is a white swelling on the skin that has turned the hair white, and there is raw flesh in the swelling,
But when raw flesh appeareth in him, he shall be unclean.
But whenever raw flesh appears on someone, he will be unclean.
And the priest shall see him: and, behold, if the plague be turned into white; then the priest shall
pronounce him clean that hath the plague: he is clean.

pronounce the
infected person clean; then he is clean.

cleansed shall wash his clothes, and
shave off all his hair, and wash himself in water, that he may be clean: and after that he shall come into the camp, and shall
tarry abroad out of his tent seven days.
The one being
cleansed must wash his clothes,
shave off all his hair, and
bathe with water; then he
will be
ceremonially clean. Afterward, he may enter the camp, but he must remain outside his tent for seven days.
But it shall be on the seventh day, that he shall
shave all his hair off his head and his
beard and his eyebrows, even all his hair he shall
shave off: and he shall wash his clothes, also he shall wash his flesh in water, and he shall be clean.
On the seventh day he must
shave off all his hair—his head, his
beard, his eyebrows, and the rest of his hair. He must wash his clothes and
bathe himself with water, and he
will be clean.
And the priest shall offer the burnt offering and the meat offering upon the altar: and the priest shall make an
atonement for him, and he shall be clean.

atonement for him, and he
will be clean.

atonement for him that is to be
cleansed before the LORD.

will make
atonement before the LORD for the one to be
cleansed.

mildew, so that nothing in the house
will become unclean. After this, the priest shall go in to
inspect the house.

will be clean.
And this shall be his uncleanness in his issue: whether his flesh run with his issue, or his flesh be stopped from his issue, it is his uncleanness.
This uncleanness is from his discharge, whether his body allows the discharge to flow or blocks it. So his discharge will bring about uncleanness.
Every bed,
whereon he lieth that hath the issue, is unclean: and every thing,
whereon he sitteth, shall be unclean.
Any bed on which the man with the discharge lies will be unclean, and any furniture on which he sits will be unclean.
And
whosoever toucheth his bed shall wash his clothes, and
bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even.

saddle on which the man with the discharge rides
will be unclean.
And
whosoever toucheth any thing that was under him shall be unclean until the even: and he that beareth any of those things shall wash his clothes, and
bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even.
Whoever touches anything that was under him
will be unclean until evening, and
whoever carries such things must wash his clothes and
bathe with water, and he
will be unclean until evening.
And
whomsoever he toucheth that hath the issue, and hath not
rinsed his hands in water, he shall wash his clothes, and
bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even.
If the man with the discharge touches
anyone without first
rinsing his hands with water, the one who was touched must wash his clothes and
bathe with water, and he
will be unclean until evening.
And the priest shall offer them, the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering; and the priest shall make an
atonement for him before the LORD for his issue.
The priest is to sacrifice them, one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering. In this way the priest
will make
atonement for the man before the LORD because of his discharge.

menstruation for seven days, and
anyone who touches her
will be unclean until evening.

Anything on which she lies or sits during her
menstruation will be unclean,

whosoever toucheth her bed shall wash his clothes, and
bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even.

menstrual period, or if it continues beyond her period, she
will be unclean all the days of her unclean discharge, just as she is during the days of her
menstruation.
Every bed
whereon she lieth all the days of her issue shall be unto her as the bed of her separation: and
whatsoever she sitteth upon shall be unclean, as the uncleanness of her separation.
Any bed on which she lies or any furniture on which she sits during the days of her discharge
will be unclean, like her bed during her
menstrual period.
And
whosoever toucheth those things shall be unclean, and shall wash his clothes, and
bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Speak unto Aaron thy brother, that he come not at all times into the holy place within the
vail before the mercy seat, which is upon the ark; that he die not: for I
will appear in the cloud upon the mercy seat.
And the LORD said to Moses: “Tell your brother Aaron not to enter freely into the Most Holy Place behind the
veil in front of the mercy seat on the ark, or else he
will die, because I appear in the cloud above the mercy seat.
And he shall put the incense upon the fire before the LORD, that the cloud of the incense may cover the mercy seat that is upon the testimony, that he die not:
He is to put the incense on the fire before the LORD, and the cloud of incense will cover the mercy seat above the Testimony, so that he will not die.
And the goat shall bear upon him all their
iniquities unto a land not inhabited: and he shall let go the goat in the wilderness.
The goat
will carry on itself all their
iniquities into a solitary place, and the man
will release it into the wilderness.
For on that day shall the priest make an
atonement for you, to
cleanse you, that ye may be clean from all your sins before the LORD.
because on this day
atonement will be made for you to
cleanse you, and you
will be clean from all your sins before the LORD.
And the priest, whom he shall
anoint, and whom he shall
consecrate to minister in the priest’s office in his father’s
stead, shall make the
atonement, and shall put on the linen clothes, even the holy garments:
The priest who is
anointed and ordained to succeed his father as high priest shall make
atonement. He
will put on the sacred linen garments
To the end that the children of Israel may bring their sacrifices, which they offer in the open field, even that they may bring them unto the LORD, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, unto the priest, and offer them for peace offerings unto the LORD.
For this reason the Israelites will bring to the LORD the sacrifices they have been offering in the open fields. They are to bring them to the priest at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting and offer them as sacrifices of peace to the LORD.
And the priest shall
sprinkle the blood upon the altar of the LORD at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and burn the fat for a sweet savour unto the LORD.
The priest
will then
sprinkle the blood on the altar of the LORD at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting and burn the fat as a pleasing
aroma to the LORD.
And they shall no more offer their sacrifices unto devils, after whom they have gone a
whoring. This shall be a statute for ever unto them throughout their generations.
They must no longer offer their sacrifices to the goat demons to which they have
prostituted themselves. This
will be a permanent statute for them for the generations to come.’
And
whatsoever man there be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers that
sojourn among you, that eateth any manner of blood; I
will even set my face against that soul that eateth blood, and
will cut him off from among his people.
If
anyone from the house of Israel or a foreigner living among them eats any blood, I
will set My face against that person and cut him off from among his people.
And every soul that eateth that which died of itself, or that which was
torn with beasts, whether it be one of your own country, or a stranger, he shall both wash his clothes, and
bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even: then shall he be clean.
And any person, whether native or foreigner, who eats anything found dead or
mauled by wild beasts must wash his clothes and
bathe with water, and he
will be unclean until evening; then he
will be clean.
Ye shall therefore keep my statutes, and my judgments: which if a man do, he shall live in them: I am the LORD.
Keep My statutes and My judgments, for the man who does these things will live by them. I am the LORD.
And the land is
defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants.
Even the land has become
defiled, so I am
punishing it for its sin, and the land
will vomit out its inhabitants.
That the land
spue not you out also, when ye
defile it, as it spued out the nations that were before you.
So if you
defile the land, it
will vomit you out as it
spewed out the nations before you.
And if ye offer a sacrifice of peace offerings unto the LORD, ye shall offer it at your own will.
When you sacrifice a peace offering to the LORD, you shall offer it for your acceptance.
And if it be eaten at all on the third day, it is
abominable; it shall not be accepted.
If any of it is eaten on the third day, it is
tainted and
will not be accepted.
Therefore every one that eateth it shall bear his iniquity, because he hath
profaned the
hallowed thing of the LORD: and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.
Whoever eats it
will bear his iniquity, for he has
profaned what is holy to the LORD. That person must be cut off from his people.
Thou shalt not
hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise
rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him.
You must not
harbor hatred against your brother in your heart. Directly
rebuke your
neighbor, so that you
will not
incur guilt on account of him.
And the priest shall make an
atonement for him with the ram of the
trespass offering before the LORD for his sin which he hath done: and the sin which he hath done shall be
forgiven him.
The priest shall make
atonement on his behalf before the LORD with the ram of the guilt offering for the sin he has committed, and he
will be
forgiven the sin he has committed.
And when ye shall come into the land, and shall have planted all manner of trees for food, then ye shall count the fruit thereof as
uncircumcised: three years shall it be as
uncircumcised unto you: it shall not be eaten of.
When you enter the land and plant any kind of tree for food, you shall regard the fruit as forbidden. For three years it will be forbidden to you and must not be eaten.
And in the fifth year shall ye eat of the fruit thereof, that it may yield unto you the increase thereof: I am the LORD your God.
But in the fifth year you may eat its fruit; thus your harvest will be increased. I am the LORD your God.
Do not
prostitute thy daughter, to cause her to be a
whore; lest the land fall to
whoredom, and the land become full of wickedness.
Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be
defiled by them: I am the LORD your God.
You must not turn to mediums or spiritists; do not seek them out, or you
will be
defiled by them. I am the LORD your God.
And I
will set my face against that man, and
will cut him off from among his people; because he hath given of his seed unto
Molech, to
defile my sanctuary, and to
profane my holy name.
And I
will set My face against that man and cut him off from his people, because by giving his offspring to
Molech, he has
defiled My sanctuary and
profaned My holy name.
Then I
will set my face against that man, and against his family, and
will cut him off, and all that go a
whoring after him, to commit
whoredom with
Molech, from among their people.
then I
will set My face against that man and his family and cut off from among their people both him and all who follow him in
prostituting themselves with
Molech.
And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a
whoring after them, I
will even set my face against that soul, and
will cut him off from among his people.
Whoever turns to mediums or spiritists to
prostitute himself with them, I
will also set My face against that person and cut him off from his people.
And if a man take a wife and her mother, it is wickedness: they shall be burnt with fire, both he and they; that there be no wickedness among you.
If a man marries both a woman and her mother, it is
depraved. Both he and they must be burned in the fire, so that there
will be no
depravity among you.
And if a man shall lie with his uncle’s wife, he hath uncovered his uncle’s nakedness: they shall bear their sin; they shall die childless.
If a man lies with his uncle’s wife, he has uncovered the nakedness of his uncle. They will bear their sin; they shall die childless.
Ye shall therefore keep all my statutes, and all my judgments, and do them: that the land,
whither I bring you to dwell therein,
spue you not out.
You are therefore to keep all My statutes and ordinances, so that the land where I am bringing you to live
will not
vomit you out.
But I have said unto you, Ye shall
inherit their land, and I
will give it unto you to possess it, a land that floweth with milk and honey: I am the LORD your God, which have separated you from other people.
But I have told you that you
will inherit their land, since I
will give it to you as an inheritance—a land flowing with milk and honey. I am the LORD your God, who has set you apart from the peoples.
The soul which hath touched any such shall be unclean until even, and shall not eat of the holy things, unless he wash his flesh with water.
the man who touches any of these will remain unclean until evening. He must not eat from the sacred offerings unless he has bathed himself with water.
And when the sun is down, he shall be clean, and shall afterward eat of the holy things; because it is his food.
When the sun has set, he will become clean, and then he may eat from the sacred offerings, for they are his food.
Speak unto Aaron, and to his sons, and unto all the children of Israel, and say unto them,
Whatsoever he be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers in Israel, that
will offer his
oblation for all his vows, and for all his
freewill offerings, which they
will offer unto the LORD for a burnt offering;
“Speak to Aaron and his sons and all the Israelites and tell them, ‘Any man of the house of Israel or any foreign resident who presents a gift for a burnt offering to the LORD, whether to
fulfill a
vow or as a
freewill offering,
Ye shall offer at your own
will a male without
blemish, of the
beeves, of the sheep, or of the goats.
must offer an
unblemished male from the cattle, sheep, or goats in order for it to be accepted on your behalf.
But
whatsoever hath a
blemish, that shall ye not offer: for it shall not be acceptable for you.
You must not present anything with a defect, because it will not be accepted on your behalf.
Neither from a stranger’s hand shall ye offer the bread of your God of any of these; because their corruption is in them, and
blemishes be in them: they shall not be accepted for you.
Neither you nor a foreigner shall present food to your God from any such animal. They
will not be accepted on your behalf, because they are
deformed and
flawed.’”
When a
bullock, or a sheep, or a goat, is brought forth, then it shall be seven days under the
dam; and from the eighth day and
thenceforth it shall be accepted for an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
“When an ox, a sheep, or a goat is born, it must remain with its mother for seven days. From the eighth day on, it will be acceptable as an offering made by fire to the LORD.
And when ye
will offer a sacrifice of
thanksgiving unto the LORD, offer it at your own
will.
When you sacrifice a
thank offering to the LORD, offer it so that it may be acceptable on your behalf.
Neither shall ye
profane my holy name; but I
will be
hallowed among the children of Israel: I am the LORD which
hallow you,
You must not
profane My holy name. I must be acknowledged as holy among the Israelites. I am the LORD who sanctifies you,
And ye shall offer with the bread seven lambs without
blemish of the first year, and one young
bullock, and two rams: they shall be for a burnt offering unto the LORD, with their meat offering, and their drink offerings, even an offering made by fire, of sweet savour unto the LORD.
Along with the bread you are to present seven
unblemished male lambs a year old, one young bull, and two rams. They
will be a burnt offering to the LORD, together with their grain offerings and drink offerings—an offering made by fire, a pleasing
aroma to the LORD.
And
whatsoever soul it be that doeth any work in that same day, the same soul
will I destroy from among his people.
I
will destroy from among his people
anyone who does any work on this day.
It shall be unto you a sabbath of rest, and ye shall
afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye
celebrate your sabbath.
It
will be a Sabbath of complete rest for you, and you shall humble
yourselves. From the evening of the ninth day of the month until the following evening you are to keep your Sabbath.”
And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and
willows of the
brook; and ye shall
rejoice before the LORD your God seven days.
On the first day you are to gather the fruit of
majestic trees, the branches of palm trees, and the boughs of
leafy trees and of
willows of the
brook. And you are to
rejoice before the LORD your God for seven days.
And they put him in ward, that the mind of the LORD might be shewed them.
They placed him in
custody until the
will of the LORD should be made clear to them.
A jubile shall that
fiftieth year be unto you: ye shall not
sow, neither
reap that which groweth of itself in it, nor gather the grapes in it of thy vine undressed.
And the land shall yield her fruit, and ye shall eat your fill, and dwell therein in safety.
Then the land will yield its fruit, so that you can eat your fill and dwell in safety in the land.
And if ye shall say, What shall we eat the seventh year? behold, we shall not
sow, nor gather in our increase:
Now you may wonder, ‘What
will we eat in the seventh year if we do not
sow or gather our produce?’
Then I will command my blessing upon you in the sixth year, and it shall bring forth fruit for three years.
But I will send My blessing upon you in the sixth year, so that the land will yield a crop sufficient for three years.
