oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil
against his brother in your heart.

oppress the widow or the fatherless, the foreigner or the poor. And do not plot evil in your hearts
against one another.’
For before these days there was no
hire for man, nor any
hire for beast; neither was there any peace to him that went out or came in because of the
affliction: for I set all men every one
against his neighbour.
For before those days neither man nor beast received wages, nor was there safety from the enemy for
anyone who came or went, for I had turned every man
against his
neighbor.
And let none of you imagine evil in your hearts
against his neighbour; and love no false oath: for all these are things that I
hate, saith the LORD.

against your
neighbor, and do not love to
swear falsely, for I
hate all these things,” declares the LORD.
The burden of the word of the LORD in the land of Hadrach, and Damascus shall be the rest thereof: when the eyes of man, as of all the tribes of Israel, shall be toward the LORD.

Sidon, though they are very
shrewd.
When I have bent Judah for me, filled the bow with Ephraim, and raised up thy sons, O
Zion,
against thy sons, O Greece, and made thee as the sword of a mighty man.

rouse your sons, O
Zion,
against the sons of Greece. I will make you like the sword of a mighty man.
Mine anger was
kindled against the
shepherds, and I punished the goats: for the LORD of hosts hath visited his flock the house of Judah, and hath made them as his goodly horse in the battle.

steed in battle.

And in that day will I make Jerusalem a
burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together
against it.

against her, I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who would
heave it away will be severely injured.
The LORD also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem do not

against my
shepherd, and
against the man that is my fellow, saith the LORD of hosts:
smite the
shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones.
Awake, O sword,
against My
Shepherd,
against the man who is My Companion, declares the LORD of Hosts. Strike the

For I will gather all nations
against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses
rifled, and the women
ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
For I will gather all the nations for battle
against Jerusalem, and the city will be captured, the houses
looted, and the women
ravished. Half of the city will go into exile, but the rest of the people will not be removed from the city.
Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.

And this shall be the plague
wherewith the LORD will
smite all the people that have fought
against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall

Whereas
Edom saith, We are
impoverished, but we will return and build the
desolate places; thus saith the LORD of hosts, They shall build, but I will throw down; and they shall call them, The border of wickedness, and, The people
against whom the LORD hath
indignation for ever.

Edom may say, “We have been
devastated, but we will rebuild the ruins,” this is what the LORD of Hosts says: “They may build, but I will

Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us? why do we deal
treacherously every man
against his brother, by
profaning the covenant of our fathers?
Do we not all have one Father? Did not one God
create us? Why then do we break faith with one another so as to
profane the covenant of our fathers?
Yet ye say, Wherefore? Because the LORD hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth,
against whom thou hast dealt
treacherously: yet is she thy companion, and the wife of thy covenant.
Yet you ask, “Why?” It is because the LORD has been a witness between you and the wife of your youth, against whom you have broken faith, though she is your companion and your wife by covenant.
And did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed. Therefore take
heed to your spirit, and let none deal
treacherously against the wife of his youth.
Has not the LORD made them one, having a portion of the Spirit? And why one? Because He seeks godly offspring. So guard
yourselves in your spirit and do not break faith with the wife of your youth.
And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness
against the sorcerers, and
against the adulterers, and
against false swearers, and
against those that
oppress the
hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not me, saith the LORD of hosts.
“Then I will draw near to you for judgment. And I will be a swift witness
against sorcerers and adulterers and perjurers,
against oppressors of the widowed and fatherless, and
against those who
defraud laborers of their wages and deny justice to the foreigner but do not fear Me,” says the LORD of Hosts.
Your words have been
stout against me, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, What have we spoken so much
against thee?

thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou
dash thy foot

Yourself down. For it is written: ‘He will command His angels concerning You, and they will lift You up in their hands, so that You will not strike Your foot
against a stone.’”
Blessed are ye, when men shall
revile you, and

against you because of Me.

And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds
blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

raged, and the winds
blew and beat
against that house; yet it did not fall, because its foundation was on the rock.
And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds
blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
The rain fell, the torrents
raged, and the winds
blew and beat
against that house, and it fell—and great was its
collapse!”

yourselves do not enter, nor will you let in those who wish to enter.

listen to you,
shake the dust off your feet when you leave that place, as a testimony
against them.”

digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat
vehemently upon that house, and could not
shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.

dug down deep and laid his foundation on the rock. When the flood came, the
torrent crashed against that house but could not
shake it, because it was well built.

against the Holy Ghost it shall not be
forgiven.
