Israel is
swallowed up: now shall they be
among the Gentiles as a vessel wherein is no pleasure.
Israel is
swallowed up! Now they are
among the nations like a worthless vessel.
Yea, though they have
hired among the nations, now will I gather them, and they shall sorrow a little for the burden of the king of princes.
Though they
hire allies
among the nations, I will now round them up, and they will begin to diminish under the oppression of the king of princes.
My God will cast them away, because they did not
hearken unto him: and they shall be wanderers
among the nations.
My God will
reject them because they have not obeyed Him; and they shall be wanderers
among the nations.
Therefore shall a
tumult arise
among thy people, and all thy fortresses shall be
spoiled, as Shalman
spoiled Beth-arbel in the day of battle: the mother was
dashed in pieces upon her children.
the
roar of battle will rise against your people, so that all your fortresses will be
demolished as Shalman
devastated Beth-arbel in the day of battle, when mothers were
dashed to pieces along with their children.
I will not
execute the fierceness of mine anger, I will not return to destroy Ephraim: for I am God, and not man; the Holy One in the midst of thee: and I will not enter into the city.
I will not
execute the full
fury of My anger; I will not turn back to destroy Ephraim. For I am God and not man— the Holy One
among you— and I will not come in wrath.
Though he be fruitful
among his brethren, an east wind shall come, the wind of the LORD shall come up from the wilderness, and his spring shall become dry, and his fountain shall be dried up: he shall
spoil the
treasure of all pleasant vessels.
Although he
flourishes among his brothers, an east wind will come— a wind from the LORD rising up from the desert. His fountain will fail, and his spring will run dry. The wind will
plunder his treasury of every precious article.
Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD,
weep between the
porch and the altar, and let them say,
Spare thy people, O LORD, and give not thine
heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say
among the people, Where is their God?
Let the priests who minister before the LORD
weep between the
portico and the altar, saying, “
Spare Your people, O LORD, and do not make Your
heritage a reproach, an object of
scorn among the nations. Why should they say
among the peoples, ‘Where is their God?’”
Yea, the LORD will answer and say unto his people, Behold, I will send you corn, and wine, and oil, and ye shall be satisfied
therewith: and I will no more make you a reproach
among the heathen:
And the LORD answered His people: “Behold, I will send you grain, new wine, and oil, and by them you will be satisfied. I will never again make you a reproach among the nations.
And I will restore to you the years that the
locust hath eaten, the
cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the
palmerworm, my great army which I sent
among you.
And it shall come to pass, that
whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount
Zion and in Jerusalem shall be
deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the
remnant whom the LORD shall call.
And
everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved; for on Mount
Zion and in Jerusalem there will be
deliverance, as the LORD has promised,
among the
remnant called by the LORD.
I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of
Jehoshaphat, and will
plead with them there for my people and for my
heritage Israel, whom they have scattered
among the nations, and parted my land.
I will gather all the nations and bring them down to the Valley of
Jehoshaphat. There I will enter into judgment against them concerning My people, My inheritance, Israel, whom they have scattered
among the nations as they divided up My land.
Proclaim ye this
among the Gentiles; Prepare war,
wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up:
Proclaim this
among the nations: “Prepare for war;
rouse the mighty men; let all the men of war advance and attack!
The words of
Amos, who was
among the herdmen of Tekoa, which he saw concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and in the days of
Jeroboam the son of
Joash king of Israel, two years before the
earthquake.
These are the words of
Amos, who was
among the sheepherders of Tekoa—what he saw concerning Israel two years before the
earthquake, in the days when Uzziah was king of Judah and
Jeroboam son of Jehoash was king of Israel.
And he that is
courageous among the mighty shall
flee away naked in that day, saith the LORD.
Even the bravest of mighty men will
flee naked on that day,” declares the LORD.
I have sent
among you the
pestilence after the manner of Egypt: your young men have I slain with the sword, and have taken away your horses; and I have made the
stink of your camps to come up unto your nostrils: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.
“I sent plagues
among you like those of Egypt; I killed your young men with the sword, along with your captured horses. I filled your nostrils with the
stench of your camp, yet you did not return to Me,” declares the LORD.
And the LORD said unto me,
Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A plumbline. Then said the Lord, Behold, I will set a plumbline in the midst of my people Israel: I will not again pass by them any more:
“
Amos, what do you see?” asked the LORD. “A
plumb line,” I replied. “Behold,” said the Lord, “I am setting a
plumb line
among My people Israel; I will no longer
spare them:
For, lo, I will command, and I will
sift the house of Israel
among all nations, like as corn is
sifted in a
sieve, yet shall not the least grain fall upon the earth.
“For surely I will give the command, and I will
shake the house of Israel
among all the nations as grain is
sifted in a
sieve; but not a
pebble will reach the ground.
All the sinners of my people shall die by the sword, which say, The evil shall not overtake nor prevent us.
All the sinners
among My people will die by the sword— all those who say, ‘
Disaster will never draw near or
confront us.’”
The vision of
Obadiah. Thus saith the Lord GOD concerning
Edom; We have heard a rumour from the LORD, and an ambassador is sent
among the heathen, Arise ye, and let us rise up against her in battle.
This is the vision of
Obadiah: This is what the Lord GOD says about
Edom— We have heard a message from the LORD; an
envoy has been sent
among the nations to say, “Rise up, and let us go to battle against her!”—
Behold, I have made thee small
among the heathen: thou art greatly
despised.
“Behold, I will make you small
among the nations; you will be deeply
despised.
Though thou
exalt thyself as the eagle, and though thou set thy nest
among the stars, thence will I bring thee down, saith the LORD.
Though you
soar like the eagle and make your nest
among the stars, even from there I will bring you down,” declares the LORD.
The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for
hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money: yet will they
lean upon the LORD, and say, Is not the LORD
among us? none evil can come upon us.
Her leaders judge for a
bribe, her priests teach for a price, and her prophets practice
divination for money. Yet they
lean upon the LORD, saying, “Is not the LORD
among us? No
disaster can come upon us.”
And he shall judge
among many people, and
rebuke strong nations
afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
Then He will judge between many peoples and
arbitrate for strong nations far and wide. Then they will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into
pruning hooks. Nation will no longer take up the sword against nation, nor will they train anymore for war.
Now why
dost thou cry out
aloud? is there no king in thee? is thy counsellor perished? for pangs have taken thee as a woman in
travail.
Why do you now cry
aloud? Is there no king
among you? Has your
counselor perished so that
anguish grips you like a woman in labor?
But thou,
Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little
among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from
everlasting.
But you,
Bethlehem Ephrathah, who are small
among the clans of Judah, out of you will come forth for Me One to be ruler over Israel— One whose origins are of old, from the days of
eternity.
And the
remnant of Jacob shall be
among the Gentiles in the midst of many people as a lion
among the beasts of the forest, as a young lion
among the flocks of sheep: who, if he go through, both treadeth down, and teareth in pieces, and none can deliver.
Then the
remnant of Jacob will be
among the nations, in the midst of many peoples, like a lion
among the beasts of the forest, like a young lion
among flocks of sheep, which tramples and tears as it passes through, with no one to
rescue them.
And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD, that I will cut off thy horses out of the midst of thee, and I will destroy thy
chariots:
“In that day,” declares the LORD, “I will remove your horses from
among you and
wreck your
chariots.
Thy
graven images also will I cut off, and thy standing images out of the midst of thee; and thou shalt no more worship the work of thine hands.
I will also cut off the carved images and sacred pillars from among you, so that you will no longer bow down to the work of your own hands.
The good man is perished out of the earth: and there is none upright
among men: they all lie in wait for blood; they
hunt every man his brother with a net.
The godly man has perished from the earth; there is no one upright
among men. They all lie in wait for blood; they
hunt one another with a net.
Art thou better than
populous No, that was
situate among the rivers, that had the waters round about it, whose
rampart was the sea, and her wall was from the sea?
Are you better than
Thebes, stationed by the Nile with water around her, whose
rampart was the sea, whose wall was the water?
Behold ye among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvellously: for I will work a work in your days, which ye will not believe, though it be told you.
“Look at the nations and observe— be utterly
astounded! For I am doing a work in your days that you would never believe even if someone told you.
And the coast shall be for the
remnant of the house of Judah; they shall feed
thereupon: in the houses of Ashkelon shall they lie down in the evening: for the LORD their God shall visit them, and turn away their captivity.
The coast will belong to the
remnant of the house of Judah; there they will find pasture. They will lie down in the evening
among the houses of Ashkelon, for the LORD their God will attend to them and restore their
captives.
In that day shalt thou not be
ashamed for all thy doings, wherein thou hast
transgressed against me: for then I will take away out of the midst of thee them that
rejoice in thy pride, and thou shalt no more be
haughty because of my holy mountain.
On that day you will not be put to shame for any of the deeds by which you have
transgressed against Me. For then I will remove from
among you those who
rejoice in their pride, and you will never again be
haughty on My holy mountain.
The LORD hath taken away thy judgments, he hath cast out thine enemy: the king of Israel, even the LORD, is in the midst of thee: thou shalt not see evil any more.
The LORD has taken away your punishment; He has turned back your enemy. Israel’s King, the LORD, is
among you; no longer will you fear any
harm.
The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will
rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.
The LORD your God is
among you; He is mighty to save. He will
rejoice over you with
gladness; He will quiet you with His love; He will
rejoice over you with singing.”
I will gather them that are sorrowful for the solemn assembly, who are of thee, to whom the reproach of it was a burden.
“I will gather those
among you who
grieve over the appointed feasts, so that you will no longer suffer reproach.
At that time will I bring you again, even in the time that I gather you: for I will make you a name and a praise among all people of the earth, when I turn back your captivity before your eyes, saith the LORD.
At that time I will bring you in;
yes, at that time I will gather you. For I will give you fame and praise
among all the peoples of the earth when I restore your
captives before your very eyes,” says the LORD.
Who is left among you that saw this house in her first glory? and how do ye see it now? is it not in your eyes in comparison of it as nothing?
‘Who is left among you who saw this house in its former glory? How does it look to you now? Does it not appear to you like nothing in comparison?’
According to the word that I covenanted with you when ye came out of Egypt, so my spirit remaineth among you: fear ye not.
This is the promise I made to you when you came out of Egypt. And My Spirit remains among you; do not be afraid.”
I saw by night, and behold a man riding upon a red horse, and he stood
among the
myrtle trees that were in the bottom; and behind him were there red horses,
speckled, and white.
I looked out into the night and saw a man riding on a red horse. He was standing
among the
myrtle trees in the hollow, and behind him were red,
sorrel, and white horses.
And the man that stood
among the
myrtle trees answered and said, These are they whom the LORD hath sent to walk to and
fro through the earth.
Then the man standing
among the
myrtle trees explained, “They are the ones the LORD has sent to
patrol the earth.”
And they answered the angel of the LORD that stood
among the
myrtle trees, and said, We have walked to and
fro through the earth, and, behold, all the earth sitteth still, and is at rest.
And the riders answered the angel of the LORD who was standing
among the
myrtle trees, “We have
patrolled the earth, and behold, all the earth is at rest and
tranquil.”
Sing and
rejoice, O daughter of
Zion: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the LORD.
“
Shout for joy and be
glad, O Daughter of
Zion, for I am coming to dwell
among you,” declares the LORD.
And many nations shall be joined to the LORD in that day, and shall be my people: and I will dwell in the midst of thee, and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto thee.
“On that day many nations will join themselves to the LORD, and they will become My people. I will dwell among you, and you will know that the LORD of Hosts has sent Me to you.
Thus saith the LORD of hosts; If thou
wilt walk in my ways, and if thou
wilt keep my charge, then thou shalt also judge my house, and shalt also keep my courts, and I will give thee places to walk
among these that stand by.
“This is what the LORD of Hosts says: ‘If you walk in My ways and keep My instructions, then you will
govern My house and will also have charge of My courts; and I will give you a place
among these who are standing here.
But I scattered them with a
whirlwind among all the nations whom they knew not. Thus the land was
desolate after them, that no man passed through nor returned: for they laid the pleasant land
desolate.
But I scattered them with a
whirlwind among all the nations that they had not known, and the land was left
desolate behind them so that no one could come or go. Thus they turned the pleasant land into a
desolation.”
And it shall come to pass, that as ye were a
curse among the heathen, O house of Judah, and house of Israel; so will I save you, and ye shall be a blessing: fear not, but let your hands be strong.
As you have been a
curse among the nations, O house of Judah and house of Israel, so I will save you, and you will be a blessing. Do not be afraid; let your hands be strong.”
And I will
sow them
among the people: and they shall remember me in far countries; and they shall live with their children, and turn again.
Though I
sow them
among the nations, they will remember Me in distant lands; they and their children will live and return.
In that day will I make the governors of Judah like an
hearth of fire
among the wood, and like a
torch of fire in a
sheaf; and they shall
devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem.
On that day I will make the clans of Judah like a
firepot in a woodpile, like a flaming
torch among the
sheaves; they will
consume all the peoples around them on the right and on the left, while the people of Jerusalem remain secure there.
In that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the LORD before them.
On that day the LORD will defend the people of Jerusalem, so that the weakest among them will be like David, and the house of David will be like God, like the angel of the LORD going before them.
And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great
tumult from the LORD shall be
among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbour, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbour.
On that day a great
panic from the LORD will come upon them, so that each will seize the hand of another, and the hand of one will rise against the other.
Who is there even
among you that would shut the doors for
nought? neither do ye
kindle fire on mine altar for
nought. I have no pleasure in you, saith the LORD of hosts, neither will I accept an offering at your hand.
“Oh, that one of you would shut the temple doors, so that you would no longer
kindle useless fires on My altar! I take no pleasure in you,” says the LORD of Hosts, “and I will accept no offering from your hands.
For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same my name shall be great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense shall be offered unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name shall be great among the heathen, saith the LORD of hosts.
For My name will be great among the nations, from where the sun rises to where it sets. In every place, incense and pure offerings will be presented in My name, because My name will be great among the nations,” says the LORD of Hosts.
But
cursed be the
deceiver, which hath in his flock a male, and voweth, and sacrificeth unto the LORD a corrupt thing: for I am a great King, saith the LORD of hosts, and my name is
dreadful among the heathen.
“But
cursed is the
deceiver who has an acceptable male in his flock and vows to give it, but sacrifices a defective animal to the Lord. For I am a great King,” says the LORD of Hosts, “and My name is to be feared
among the nations.
If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a
curse upon you, and I will
curse your blessings:
yea, I have
cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.
If you do not
listen, and if you do not take it to heart to honor My name,” says the LORD of Hosts, “I will send a
curse among you, and I will
curse your blessings.
Yes, I have already begun to
curse them, because you are not taking it to heart.
And thou
Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least
among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel.
‘But you,
Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least
among the rulers of Judah, for out of you will come a ruler who will be the
shepherd of My people Israel.’”
And Jesus went about all
Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and
healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease
among the people.
Jesus went throughout
Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and
healing every disease and sickness
among the people.
And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and
healing every sickness and every disease
among the people.
Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and
healing every disease and sickness.
Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of
wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and
harmless as doves.
Behold, I am sending you out like sheep
among wolves; therefore be as
shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.
Verily I say unto you,
Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.
Truly I tell you, among those born of women there has risen no one greater than John the Baptist. Yet even the least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.
And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out?
He replied, “If one of you has a sheep and it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will he not take hold of it and lift it out?
And some fell
among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and
choked them:
Other seed fell
among thorns, which grew up and
choked the seedlings.
He also that received seed
among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the
deceitfulness of riches,
choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.
The seed sown
among the thorns is the one who hears the word, but the
worries of this life and the
deceitfulness of wealth
choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.
But while men
slept, his enemy came and
sowed tares
among the wheat, and went his way.
Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest
among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and
lodge in the branches thereof.
Although it is the smallest of all seeds, yet it grows into the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches.”
So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and
sever the wicked from
among the just,
So will it be at the end of the age: The angels will come and separate the wicked from the righteous,
And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have taken no bread.
They discussed this among themselves and concluded, “It is because we did not bring any bread.”
Which when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye
among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread?
Aware of their conversation, Jesus said, “You of little faith, why are you
debating among yourselves about having no bread?
And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,
Jesus invited a little child to stand among them.
But it shall not be so
among you: but
whosoever will be great
among you, let him be your minister;
It shall not be this way
among you. Instead,
whoever wants to become great
among you must be your servant,
And
whosoever will be chief
among you, let him be your servant:
and
whoever wants to be first
among you must be your slave—
The baptism of John, whence was it? from heaven, or of men? And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say unto us, Why did ye not then believe him?
What was the source of John’s baptism? Was it from heaven or from men?” They
deliberated among themselves and said, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ He will ask, ‘Why then did you not believe him?’
But when the
husbandmen saw the son, they said
among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance.
But when the tenants saw the son, they said to one another, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and take his inheritance.’
Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased, and, having no issue, left his wife unto his brother:
Now there were seven brothers among us. The first one married and died without having children. So he left his wife to his brother.
But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.
The greatest among you shall be your servant.
But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be an
uproar among the people.
“But not during the feast,” they said, “or there may be a
riot among the people.”
And they
crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments
among them, and upon my
vesture did they cast lots.
When they had
crucified Him, they divided up His garments by casting lots.
Among which was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of Zebedee’s children.
Among them were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James and Joseph, and the mother of Zebedee’s sons.
So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.
So the guards took the money and did as they were
instructed. And this account has been circulated
among the Jews to this very day.
And they were all
amazed,
insomuch that they questioned
among themselves, saying, What thing is this? what new doctrine is this? for with authority commandeth he even the unclean spirits, and they do obey him.
All the people were
amazed and began to ask one another, “What is this? A new teaching with authority! He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey Him!”
And he saith unto the man which had the
withered hand, Stand forth.
Then Jesus said to the man with the
withered hand, “Stand up
among us.”
And some fell
among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and
choked it, and it yielded no fruit.
Other seed fell
among thorns, which grew up and
choked the seedlings, and they yielded no crop.
And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word,
Others are like the seeds sown among the thorns. They hear the word,
Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains:
This man had been living in the tombs and could no longer be restrained, even with chains.
But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and
among his own
kin, and in his own house.
Then Jesus said to them, “Only in his hometown, among his relatives, and in his own household is a prophet without honor.”
And when he had taken the five
loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and
brake the
loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided he
among them all.
Taking the five
loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, Jesus spoke a blessing and broke the
loaves. Then He gave them to His disciples to set before the people. And He divided the two fish
among them all.
And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have no bread.
So they began to
discuss with one another the fact that they had no bread.
When I
brake the five
loaves among five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? They say unto him, Twelve.
When I broke the five
loaves for the five thousand, how many
basketfuls of broken pieces did you collect?” “Twelve,” they answered.
And when the seven among four thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? And they said, Seven.
“And when I broke the seven
loaves for the four thousand, how many
basketfuls of broken pieces did you collect?” “Seven,” they said.
And he came to
Capernaum: and being in the house he asked them, What was it that ye disputed
among yourselves by the way?
Then they came to
Capernaum. While Jesus was in the house, He asked them, “What were you
discussing on the way?”
But they held their peace: for by the way they had disputed among themselves, who should be the greatest.
But they were silent, for on the way they had been
arguing about which of them was the greatest.
And he took a child, and set him in the midst of them: and when he had taken him in his arms, he said unto them,
Then He had a little child stand among them. Taking the child in His arms, He said to them,
Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness,
wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in
yourselves, and have peace one with another.
Salt is good, but if the salt loses its saltiness, with what will you season it? Have salt
among yourselves, and be at peace with one another.”
And they were
astonished out of measure, saying
among themselves, Who then can be saved?
They were even more
astonished and said to one another, “Who then can be saved?”
But so shall it not be
among you: but
whosoever will be great
among you, shall be your minister:
But it shall not be this way
among you. Instead,
whoever wants to become great
among you must be your servant,
And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then did ye not believe him?
They
deliberated among themselves what they should answer: “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ He will ask, ‘Why then did you not believe him?’
But those
husbandmen said
among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance shall be ours.
But the tenants said to one another, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.’
And the gospel must first be published among all nations.
And the gospel must first be proclaimed to all the nations.
But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be an
uproar of the people.
“But not during the feast,” they said, “or there may be a
riot among the people.”
Likewise also the chief priests
mocking said
among themselves with the
scribes, He saved others; himself he cannot save.
In the same way, the chief priests and
scribes mocked Him
among themselves, saying, “He saved others, but He cannot save Himself!
