And he wrote the following letter:
Then the soldiers, as it was commanded them, took Paul, and brought him by night to
Antipatris.
So the soldiers
followed their orders and brought Paul by night to
Antipatris.
But after long
abstinence Paul stood forth in the midst of them, and said, Sirs, ye should have
hearkened unto me, and not have loosed from
Crete, and to have gained this
harm and loss.
After the men had gone a long time without food, Paul stood up among them and said, “Men, you should have
followed my advice not to sail from
Crete. Then you would have
averted this
disaster and loss.

But unto them that are
contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness,
indignation and wrath,

reject the truth and
follow wickedness, there will be wrath and anger.
And not as it was by one that
sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to
condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto
justification.
Again, the gift is not like the result of the one man’s sin: The judgment that
followed one sin brought
condemnation, but the gift that
followed many trespasses brought
justification.
What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith.
What then will we say? That the Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained it, a righteousness that is by faith;
But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness.
but Israel, who pursued a law of righteousness, has not attained it.
Let us therefore
follow after the things which make for peace, and things
wherewith one may
edify another.

edification.
Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of
Cephas; and I of Christ.
What I mean is this: Individuals among you are saying, “I
follow Paul,” “I
follow Apollos,” “I
follow Cephas,” or “I
follow Christ.”
For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not
carnal?
For when one of you says, “I follow Paul,” and another, “I follow Apollos,” are you not mere men?
Wherefore I
beseech you, be ye
followers of me.
And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they
drank of that spiritual Rock that
followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

drank the same spiritual drink; for they
drank from the spiritual rock that accompanied them, and that rock was Christ.
Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.
Now in this that I declare unto you I praise you not, that ye come together not for the better, but for the worse.
In the
following instructions I have no praise to offer, because your gatherings do more
harm than good.

prophesy.

I desired
Titus, and with him I sent a brother. Did
Titus make a gain of you? walked we not in the same spirit? walked we not in the same steps?
I urged
Titus to visit you, and I sent our brother with him. Did
Titus exploit you in any way? Did we not walk in the same Spirit and
follow in the same footsteps?
Be ye therefore
followers of God, as
dear children;
Be imitators of God, therefore, as beloved children,
Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I
follow after, if that I may
apprehend that for which also I am
apprehended of Christ Jesus.
Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.
Brethren, be
followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an
ensample.
Join one another in following my example, brothers, and carefully observe those who walk according to the pattern we set for you.
And ye became
followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much
affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost:
And you became imitators of us and of the Lord when you
welcomed the message with the joy of the Holy Spirit, in spite of your great suffering.
For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they have of the Jews:
For you, brothers, became imitators of the churches of God in
Judea that are in Christ Jesus. You suffered from your own countrymen the very things they suffered from the Jews,
See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever
follow that which is good, both among
yourselves, and to all men.
Make sure that no one repays evil for evil. Always pursue what is good for one another and for all people.
For
yourselves know how ye ought to
follow us: for we
behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;
For you
yourselves know how you ought to
imitate us, because we were not undisciplined among you,
Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an
ensample unto you to
follow us.
Not that we lack this right, but we wanted to offer ourselves as an example for you to
imitate.
Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving
heed to
seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
Now the Spirit expressly states that in later times some will
abandon the faith to
follow deceitful spirits and the teachings of demons,
If thou put the brethren in
remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ,
nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine,
whereunto thou hast attained.
By pointing out these things to the brothers, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus,
nourished by the words of faith and sound instruction that you have
followed.
Well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children, if she have
lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints’ feet, if she have relieved the
afflicted, if she have
diligently followed every good work.
and well known for good deeds such as bringing up children,
entertaining strangers, washing the feet of the saints, imparting relief to the
afflicted, and
devoting herself to every good work.

Satan.
For some have already turned aside to
follow Satan.

beforehand, going before to judgment; and some men they
follow after.

ahead of them to judgment; but the sins of others do not surface until later.
But you, O man of God,
flee from these things and pursue righteousness,
godliness, faith, love,
perseverance, and gentleness.
Flee also youthful lusts: but
follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
Flee from youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, together with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following the same pattern of disobedience.
By faith they passed through the Red sea as by dry land: which the Egyptians
assaying to do were
drowned.
By faith the people passed through the Red Sea as on dry land; but when the Egyptians tried to
follow, they were
drowned.
Follow peace with all men, and
holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
Pursue peace with
everyone, as well as
holiness, without which no one will see the Lord.
Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.
Remember your leaders who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and
imitate their faith.
Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did
signify, when it
testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should
follow.

predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories to
follow.

hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should
follow his steps:
For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in His footsteps:
And who is he that will
harm you, if ye be
followers of that which is good?
For we have not
followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
For we did not
follow cleverly devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of His majesty.
And many shall
follow their
pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
Many will
follow in their
depravity, and because of them the way of truth will be
defamed.
Which have
forsaken the right way, and are gone
astray,
following the way of
Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;
They have left the straight way and
wandered off to
follow the way of
Balaam son of Beor, who loved the wages of wickedness.
Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

scoffing and
following their own evil desires.
Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.
Beloved, do not
imitate what is evil, but what is good. The one who does good is of God; the one who does evil has not seen God.
These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men’s persons in admiration because of advantage.
These men are discontented grumblers,
following after their own lusts; their mouths
spew arrogance; they
flatter others for their own advantage.
How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.

Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.
Then I looked and saw a pale green horse. Its rider’s name was Death, and Hades followed close behind. And they were given authority over a fourth of the earth, to kill by sword, by famine, by plague, and by the beasts of the earth.
The first angel sounded, and there
followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.

hurled down upon the earth. A third of the earth was burned up, along with a third of the trees and all the green grass.

woe is past; and, behold, there come two woes more

healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.

marveled and
followed the beast.
These are they which were not
defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which
follow the Lamb
whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.
These are the ones who have not been
defiled with women, for they are virgins. They
follow the Lamb wherever He goes. They have been redeemed from among men as firstfruits to God and to the Lamb.
And there
followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her

And the third angel
followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his

forehead or on his hand,
And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth:
Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do
follow them.
And I heard a voice from heaven telling me to write, “Blessed are the dead—those who die in the Lord from this moment on.” “
Yes,” says the Spirit, “they will rest from their labors, for their deeds will
follow them.”

But in the time of Artexerxes king of the Persians Belemus, and Mithridates, and Tabellius, and Rathumus, and Beeltethmus, and Semellius the secretary, with others that were in commission with them, dwelling in Samaria and other places, wrote unto him against them that dwelt in

followed her that is
hated in all her works and inventions: therefore saith God,
My son, be mindful of the Lord our God all thy days, and let not thy will be set to sin, or to
transgress his commandments: do uprightly all thy life long, and
follow not the ways of unrighteousness.
And if thou
wilt follow the words of thine
handmaid, God will bring the thing perfectly to pass by thee; and my lord shall not fail of his purposes.
And they put a
garland of olive upon her and her
maid that was with her, and she went before all the people in the dance, leading all the women: and all the men of Israel
followed in their armour with garlands, and with songs in their mouths.
And the other followed, bearing up her train.
Follow not thine own mind and thy strength, to walk in the ways of thy heart:
My son,
meddle not with many matters: for if thou
meddle much, thou shalt not be innocent; and if thou
follow after, thou shalt not obtain, neither shalt thou escape by
fleeing.

followed the laws that he gave them.
Then swelling with anger. he thought to
avenge upon the Jews the disgrace done unto him by those that made him
flee. Therefore commanded he his chariotman to drive without ceasing, and to
dispatch the journey, the judgment of God now
following him. For he had spoken proudly in this sort, That he would come to Jerusalem and make it a common
