now see and hear.

Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to

endeavor is of human origin, it will fail.

nourished by the king’s country.

mercies of David.
In fact, God raised Him from the dead, never to see decay. As He has said: ‘I will give you the holy and sure blessings promised to David.’

Barnabas, who spoke to them and urged them to continue in the grace of God.
Then Paul and
Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge
yourselves unworthy of
everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.
Then Paul and
Barnabas answered them boldly: “It was necessary to speak the word of God to you first. But since you
reject it and do not consider
yourselves worthy of eternal life, we
now turn to the Gentiles.
Now therefore why
tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
Now then, why do you test God by placing on the necks of the disciples a yoke that neither we nor our fathers have been able to bear?
Now when they had gone throughout Phrygia and the region of
Galatia, and were forbidden of the Holy Ghost to
preach the word in Asia,
After the Holy Spirit had prevented them from speaking the word in the province of Asia, they traveled through the region of Phrygia and

And the keeper of the prison told this saying to Paul, The magistrates have sent to let you go: now therefore depart, and go in peace.
The
jailer informed Paul: “The magistrates have sent orders to release you.
Now you may go on your way in peace.”
But Paul said unto them, They have beaten us openly uncondemned, being Romans, and have cast us into prison; and
now do they thrust us out
privily?
nay verily; but let them come themselves and
fetch us out.
But Paul said to the officers, “They beat us publicly without a trial and threw us into prison, even though we are Roman citizens. And
now do they want to send us away secretly? Absolutely not! Let them come themselves and
escort us out!”
And when they found them not, they drew
Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, These that have turned the world
upside down are come
hither also;
But when they could not find them, they
dragged Jason and some other brothers before the city officials,
shouting, “These men who have turned the world
upside down have
now come here,
These were more noble than those in
Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all
readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
Now the Bereans were more noble-minded than the
Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if these teachings were true.
Now while Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit was
stirred in him, when he saw the city wholly given to
idolatry.
While Paul was waiting for them in Athens, he was deeply disturbed in his spirit to see that the city was full of idols.
(For all the Athenians and strangers which were there spent their time in nothing else, but either to tell, or to hear some new thing.)
Now all the Athenians and foreigners who lived there spent their time doing nothing more than hearing and
articulating new ideas.
For as I passed by, and
beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.
For as I walked around and examined your objects of worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: TO AN UNKNOWN GOD. Therefore what you worship as something unknown, I
now proclaim to you.
And the times of this ignorance God
winked at; but
now commandeth all men every where to
repent:
Although God overlooked the ignorance of earlier times, He
now commands all people everywhere to
repent.
And when they opposed themselves, and
blasphemed, he
shook his
raiment, and said unto them, Your blood be upon your own heads; I am clean: from henceforth I will go unto the Gentiles.
But when they opposed and
insulted him, he
shook out his garments and told them, “Your blood be on your own heads! I am innocent of it. From
now on I will go to the Gentiles.”
And when Paul was
now about to open his mouth,
Gallio said unto the Jews, If it were a matter of wrong or wicked
lewdness, O ye Jews, reason would that I should bear with you:
But just as Paul was about to speak,
Gallio told the Jews, “If this matter involved a
wrongdoing or
vicious crime, O Jews, it would be reasonable for me to hear your
complaint.
Then certain of the
vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We
adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.
Now there were some
itinerant Jewish exorcists who tried to
invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those with evil spirits. They would say, “I bind you by Jesus, whom Paul proclaims.”
And many that believed came, and
confessed, and shewed their deeds.
Many who had believed
now came forward,
confessing and disclosing their deeds.
And there were many lights in the upper chamber, where they were gathered together.
Now there were many lamps in the upper room where we were gathered.
And
now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall
befall me there:
And now, compelled by the Spirit, I am going to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there.
And now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more.
Now I know that none of you among whom I have preached the kingdom will see my face again.
And
now, brethren, I
commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are
sanctified.
And
now I commit you to God and to the word of His grace, which can build you up and give you an inheritance among all who are
sanctified.
Now when we had discovered
Cyprus, we left it on the left hand, and sailed into Syria, and landed at Tyre: for there the ship was to
unlade her burden.
After sighting
Cyprus and passing south of it, we sailed on to Syria and landed at Tyre, where the ship was to unload its
cargo.
But Paul said, I am a man which am a
Jew of
Tarsus, a city in
Cilicia, a citizen of no mean city: and, I
beseech thee, suffer me to speak unto the people.
But Paul answered, “I am a
Jew from
Tarsus in
Cilicia, a citizen of no ordinary city.
Now I
beg you to allow me to speak to the people.”
Men, brethren, and fathers, hear ye my defence which I make now unto you.
And
now why tarriest thou? arise, and be
baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.
And
now what are you waiting for? Get up, be
baptized, and wash your sins away, calling on His name.’
Now therefore ye with the council
signify to the chief captain that he bring him down unto you to
morrow, as though ye would
enquire something more perfectly concerning him: and we, or ever he come near, are ready to kill him.
Now then, you and the
Sanhedrin petition the commander to bring him down to you on the pretext of examining his case more carefully. We are ready to kill him on the way.”
But do not thou yield unto them: for there lie in wait for him of them more than forty men, which have bound themselves with an oath, that they will neither eat nor drink till they have killed him: and now are they ready, looking for a promise from thee.
Do not let them
persuade you, because more than forty men are waiting to
ambush him. They have bound themselves with an oath not to eat or drink until they have killed him; they are ready
now,
awaiting your consent.”
Nor can they prove to you any of their charges against me.
Now after many years I came to bring
alms to my nation, and offerings.
After several years, then, I returned to Jerusalem to bring
alms to my people and to present offerings.
And as he reasoned of righteousness,
temperance, and judgment to come
Felix trembled, and answered, Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee.
As Paul
expounded on righteousness, self-control, and the coming judgment,
Felix became
frightened and said, “You may go for
now. When I find the time, I will call for you.”
Now when
Festus was come into the province, after three days he ascended from Caesarea to Jerusalem.
Three days after his arrival in the province,
Festus went up from Caesarea to Jerusalem,
But when I found that he had committed nothing worthy of death, and that he himself hath appealed to Augustus, I have determined to send him.
But I found he had done nothing worthy of death, and since he has now appealed to the Emperor, I decided to send him.
And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made of God unto our fathers:
And now I stand on trial because of my hope in the promise that God made to our fathers,
Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,
I will
rescue you from your own people and from the Gentiles. I am sending you to them
Now when much time was spent, and when sailing was
now dangerous, because the fast was
now already past, Paul
admonished them,
By
now much time had passed, and the voyage had already become dangerous because it was after the Fast. So Paul
advised them,
And
now I
exhort you to be of good
cheer: for there shall be no loss of any man’s life among you, but of the ship.
But
now I
urge you to keep up your courage, because you will not experience any loss of life, but only of the ship.
Making request, if by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey by the will of God to come unto you.
in my prayers at all times, asking that now at last by God’s will I may succeed in coming to you.
Now I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that
oftentimes I purposed to come unto you, (but was let hitherto,) that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among other Gentiles.
I do not want you to be unaware, brothers, how often I
planned to come to you (but have been prevented from visiting until
now), in order that I might have a harvest among you, just as I have had among the other Gentiles.
Behold, thou art called a
Jew, and restest in the law, and makest thy
boast of God,
Now we know that what things
soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God.
But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
But
now, apart from the law, the righteousness of God has been revealed, as
attested by the Law and the Prophets.
Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.
Now the wages of the worker are not credited as a gift, but as an obligation.
And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body
now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of
Sarah’s
womb:
Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him;
Now the words “it was credited to him” were written not only for Abraham,
Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
Therefore, since we have now been justified by His blood, how much more shall we be saved from wrath through Him!
And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have
now received the
atonement.
Not only that, but we also
rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have
now received
reconciliation.
Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:
Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with Him.
I speak after the manner of men because of the
infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so
now yield your members servants to righteousness unto
holiness.
I am speaking in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. Just as you used to offer the parts of your body in slavery to impurity and to escalating wickedness, so
now offer them in slavery to righteousness leading to
holiness.
What fruit had ye then in those things
whereof ye are
now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.
What fruit did you
reap at that time from the things of which you are
now ashamed? The outcome of those things is death.
But
now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto
holiness, and the end
everlasting life.
But
now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God, the fruit you
reap leads to
holiness, and the outcome is eternal life.
But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.
But now, having died to what bound us, we have been released from the law, so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code.
Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
In that case, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.
Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
And if I do what I do not want, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.
There is therefore
now no
condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Therefore, there is
now no
condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
You, however, are
controlled not by the flesh, but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if
anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ.
