beard over the

whorish woman a man is brought to a piece of bread: and the
adulteress will
hunt for the

And
Hezekiah welcomed the envoys
gladly and showed them what was in his
treasure house—the silver, the gold, the spices, and the

Since thou
wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.

spokesman. It is they who must turn to you, but you must not turn to them.

plunder them, seize them, and carry them off to Babylon.
Is Ephraim my
dear son? is he a pleasant child? for since I spake against him, I do earnestly remember him still: therefore my
bowels are troubled for him; I will surely have mercy upon him, saith the LORD.

precious son to Me, a delightful child? Though I often speak against him, I still remember him. Therefore My heart yearns for him; I have great
compassion for him,” declares the LORD.
The
precious sons of
Zion, comparable to fine gold, how are they esteemed as
earthen pitchers, the work of the hands of the
potter!
How the
precious sons of
Zion, once worth their weight in pure gold, are now esteemed as jars of clay, the work of a
potter’s hands!
There is a
conspiracy of her prophets in the midst thereof, like a
roaring lion
ravening the prey; they have
devoured souls; they have taken the
treasure and
precious things; they have made her many widows in the midst thereof.
The
conspiracy of the princes in her midst is like a
roaring lion
tearing its prey. They
devour the people, seize the treasures and
precious things, and multiply the widows within her.

precious clothes for
chariots.

precious stones, and gold.

Thou hast been in
Eden the garden of God; every
precious stone was thy covering, the
sardius,
topaz, and the
diamond, the
beryl, the
onyx, and the
jasper, the
sapphire, the
emerald, and the
carbuncle, and gold: the
workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou
wast created.
You were in
Eden, the garden of God. Every kind of
precious stone adorned you:
ruby,
topaz, and
diamond,
beryl,
onyx, and
jasper,
sapphire,
turquoise, and
emerald. Your mountings and settings were crafted in gold, prepared on the day of your creation.
At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to
shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision.
At the beginning of your petitions, an answer went out, and I have come to tell you, for you are highly precious. So consider the message and understand the vision:
And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood
trembling.
He said to me, “Daniel, you are a man who is highly
precious. Consider carefully the words that I am about to say to you. Stand up, for I have now been sent to you.” And when he had said this to me, I stood up
trembling.
And said, O man greatly beloved, fear not: peace be unto thee, be strong,
yea, be strong. And when he had spoken unto me, I was strengthened, and said, Let my lord speak; for thou hast strengthened me.
“Do not be afraid, you who are highly precious,” he said. “Peace be with you! Be strong now; be very strong!” As he spoke with me, I was strengthened and said, “Speak, my lord, for you have strengthened me.”

captives into Egypt their gods, with their princes, and with their
precious vessels of silver and of gold; and he shall continue more years than the king of the north.

precious vessels of silver and gold. For some years he will stay away from the king of the North,
But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.
And in their place, he will honor a god of fortresses—a god his fathers did not know—with gold, silver, precious stones, and riches.
But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.
He will gain control of the treasures of gold and silver and over all the riches of Egypt, and the Libyans and Cushites will also submit to him.
For, lo, they are gone because of destruction: Egypt shall gather them up,
Memphis shall
bury them: the pleasant places for their silver,
nettles shall possess them: thorns shall be in their tabernacles.
For even if they
flee destruction, Egypt will gather them and
Memphis will
bury them. Their
precious silver will be taken over by thistles, and thorns will overrun their tents.
Though he be fruitful among his brethren, an east wind shall come, the wind of the LORD shall come up from the wilderness, and his spring shall become dry, and his fountain shall be dried up: he shall
spoil the
treasure of all pleasant vessels.
Although he
flourishes among his brothers, an east wind will come— a wind from the LORD rising up from the desert. His fountain will fail, and his spring will run dry. The wind will
plunder his treasury of every
precious article.
Make thee
bald, and
poll thee for thy delicate children;
enlarge thy
baldness as the eagle; for they are gone into captivity from thee.

spoil of silver, take the
spoil of gold: for there is none end of the store and glory out of all the pleasant furniture.

anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver,
precious stones, wood, hay, or straw,
Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the
husbandman waiteth for the
precious fruit of the earth, and hath long
patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.
Be patient, then, brothers, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer awaits the precious fruit of the soil—how patient he is for the fall and spring rains.

so that the
proven character of your faith—more

blemish or spot.
To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,
As you come to Him, the living stone, rejected by men but chosen and precious in God’s sight,
Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in
Sion a chief corner stone,
elect,
precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.
For it stands in Scripture: “See, I lay in
Zion a stone, a chosen and
precious cornerstone; and the one who believes in Him will never be put to shame.”
Unto you therefore which believe he is
precious: but unto them which be
disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,
To you who believe, then, this stone is precious. But to those who do not believe, “The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone,”
But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a
meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
but from the inner disposition of your heart, the
unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is
precious in God’s sight.

precious stones, and pearls!
saying: “
Woe,
woe to the great city, clothed in fine linen and purple and scarlet, adorned with gold and
precious stones and pearls!
Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most
precious, even like a
jasper stone, clear as crystal;
The foundations of the city walls were adorned with every kind of
precious stone: The first foundation was
jasper, the second
sapphire, the third
chalcedony, the fourth
emerald,

sackcloth which she had on, and put off the garments of her
widowhood, and washed her body all over with water, and
anointed herself with
precious ointment, and
braided the hair of her head, and put on a
tire upon it, and put on her garments of
gladness,
wherewith she was
clad during the life of Manasses her husband.

precious ointments, she covered her head with ashes and dung, and she humbled her body greatly, and all the places of her joy she filled with her
torn hair.
Then having passed through all the doors, she stood before the king, who sat upon his royal throne, and was clothed with all his robes of majesty, all
glittering with gold and
precious stones; and he was very
dreadful.
Neither compared I unto her any precious stone, because all gold in respect of her is as a little sand, and silver shall be counted as clay before her.
Gaze not on a
maid, that thou fall not by those things that are
precious in her.
