creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth; that they may breed abundantly in the earth, and be fruitful, and multiply upon the earth.
Bring out all the living creatures that are with you—birds,
livestock, and everything that crawls upon the ground—so that they can
spread out over the earth and be fruitful and multiply upon it.”

spread out after the flood.

spread abroad my hands unto the LORD; and the
thunder shall cease, neither shall there be any more
hail; that thou mayest know how that the earth is the LORD’S.

spread out my hands to the LORD. The
thunder will cease, and there will be no more
hail, so that you may know that the earth is the LORD’s.

thunder and
hail ceased, and the rain no longer poured down on the land.

If fire break out, and catch in thorns, so that the stacks of corn, or the standing corn, or the field, be consumed
therewith; he that
kindled the fire shall surely make
restitution.

stacked or standing grain, or the whole field, the one who started the fire must make full
restitution.

malicious witness.
And the
cherubim shall stretch forth their wings on high, covering the mercy seat with their wings, and their faces shall look one to another; toward the mercy seat shall the faces of the cherubims be.
And the
cherubim are to have wings that
spread upward, overshadowing the mercy seat. The
cherubim are to face each other, looking toward the mercy seat.
And the cherubims spread out their wings on high, and covered with their wings over the mercy seat, with their faces one to another; even to the mercy seatward were the faces of the cherubims.
And the
cherubim had wings that
spread upward, overshadowing the mercy seat. The
cherubim faced each other, looking toward the mercy seat.

And the priest shall look on him the seventh day: and, behold, if the plague in his sight be at a stay, and the plague spread not in the skin; then the priest shall shut him up seven days more:
On the seventh day the priest is to reexamine him, and if he sees that the
infection is unchanged and has not
spread on the skin, the priest must
isolate him for another seven days.
And the priest shall look on him again the seventh day: and, behold, if the plague be somewhat dark, and the plague
spread not in the skin, the priest shall
pronounce him clean: it is but a
scab: and he shall wash his clothes, and be clean.
The priest will examine him again on the seventh day, and if the
sore has
faded and has not
spread on the skin, the priest shall
pronounce him clean; it is a
rash. The person must wash his clothes and be clean.
But if the
scab spread much abroad in the skin, after that he hath been seen of the priest for his
cleansing, he shall be seen of the priest again:
But if the
rash spreads further on his skin after he has shown himself to the priest for his
cleansing, he must present himself again to the priest.
And if the priest see that, behold, the
scab spreadeth in the skin, then the priest shall
pronounce him unclean: it is a
leprosy.
The priest will reexamine him, and if the
rash has
spread on the skin, the priest must
pronounce him unclean; he has a skin disease.
And if it
spread much abroad in the skin, then the priest shall
pronounce him unclean: it is a plague.
If it
spreads any further on the skin, the priest must
pronounce him unclean; it is an
infection.
But if the bright spot stay in his place, and
spread not, it is a burning
boil; and the priest shall
pronounce him clean.
But if the spot remains unchanged and does not
spread, it is only the
scar from the
boil, and the priest shall
pronounce him clean.
And the priest shall look upon him the seventh day: and if it be
spread much abroad in the skin, then the priest shall
pronounce him unclean: it is the plague of
leprosy.
On the seventh day the priest is to reexamine him, and if it has
spread further on the skin, the priest must
pronounce him unclean; it is a diseased
infection.
And if the bright spot stay in his place, and
spread not in the skin, but it be somewhat dark; it is a rising of the burning, and the priest shall
pronounce him clean: for it is an inflammation of the burning.
But if the spot is unchanged and has not
spread on the skin but has
faded, it is a swelling from the burn, and the priest is to
pronounce him clean; for it is only the
scar from the burn.
And in the seventh day the priest shall look on the plague: and, behold, if the
scall spread not, and there be in it no yellow hair, and the
scall be not in sight deeper than the skin;
On the seventh day the priest is to reexamine the
infection, and if the
scaly outbreak has not
spread and there is no yellow hair in it, and it does not appear to be deeper than the skin,
And in the seventh day the priest shall look on the
scall: and, behold, if the
scall be not
spread in the skin, nor be in sight deeper than the skin; then the priest shall
pronounce him clean: and he shall wash his clothes, and be clean.
On the seventh day the priest shall examine the
scaly outbreak, and if it has not
spread on the skin and does not appear to be deeper than the skin, the priest is to
pronounce him clean. He must wash his clothes, and he will be clean.
If, however, the
scaly outbreak
spreads further on the skin after his
cleansing,
Then the priest shall look on him: and, behold, if the
scall be
spread in the skin, the priest shall not seek for yellow hair; he is unclean.
the priest is to examine him, and if the
scaly outbreak has
spread on the skin, the priest need not look for yellow hair; the person is unclean.
And he shall look on the plague on the seventh day: if the plague be
spread in the garment, either in the
warp, or in the
woof, or in a skin, or in any work that is made of skin; the plague is a
fretting leprosy; it is unclean.
On the seventh day the priest shall reexamine it, and if the
mildew has
spread in the
fabric,
weave,
knit, or leather, then regardless of how it is used, it is a
harmful mildew; the article is unclean.
And if the priest shall look, and, behold, the plague be not
spread in the garment, either in the
warp, or in the
woof, or in any thing of skin;
But when the priest reexamines it, if the
mildew has not
spread in the
fabric,
weave,
knit, or leather article,
And the priest shall look on the plague, after that it is washed: and, behold, if the plague have not changed his colour, and the plague be not
spread; it is unclean; thou shalt burn it in the fire; it is
fret inward, whether it be bare within or without.
After it has been washed, the priest is to reexamine it, and if the
mildewed article has not changed in appearance, it is unclean. Even though the
mildew has not
spread, you must burn it, whether the
rot is on the front or back.
And if it appear still in the garment, either in the
warp, or in the
woof, or in any thing of skin; it is a
spreading plague: thou shalt burn that wherein the plague is with fire.
And the priest shall come again the seventh day, and shall look: and, behold, if the plague be spread in the walls of the house;
On the seventh day the priest is to return and
inspect the house. If the
mildew has
spread on the walls,
Then the priest shall come and look, and, behold, if the plague be
spread in the house, it is a
fretting leprosy in the house: it is unclean.
the priest must come and
inspect it. If the
mildew has
spread in the house, it is a destructive
mildew; the house is unclean.
And if the priest shall come in, and look upon it, and, behold, the plague hath not
spread in the house, after the house was plaistered: then the priest shall
pronounce the house clean, because the plague is
healed.
If, however, the priest comes and inspects it, and the
mildew has not
spread after the house has been replastered, he shall
pronounce the house clean, because the
mildew is gone.
Thou shalt not go up and down as a
talebearer among thy people: neither shalt thou stand against the blood of thy neighbour: I am the LORD.
You must not go about
spreading slander among your people. You must not
endanger the life of your
neighbor. I am the LORD.
And shall put
thereon the covering of badgers’ skins, and shall
spread over it a cloth wholly of blue, and shall put in the
staves thereof.
They are to place over this a covering of fine leather,
spread a solid blue cloth over it, and
insert its poles.
And upon the table of
shewbread they shall
spread a cloth of blue, and put
thereon the dishes, and the spoons, and the
bowls, and covers to cover
withal: and the continual bread shall be
thereon:
Over the table of the Presence they are to
spread a blue cloth and place the plates and cups on it, along with the
bowls and pitchers for the drink offering. The regular bread offering is to remain on it.
And they shall
spread upon them a cloth of scarlet, and cover the same with a covering of badgers’ skins, and shall put in the
staves thereof.
And they shall
spread a scarlet cloth over them, cover them with fine leather, and
insert the poles.
And upon the golden altar they shall
spread a cloth of blue, and cover it with a covering of badgers’ skins, and shall put to the
staves thereof:
Over the gold altar they are to
spread a blue cloth, cover it with fine leather, and
insert the poles.
And they shall take away the ashes from the altar, and
spread a purple cloth
thereon:
Then they shall remove the ashes from the bronze altar, spread a purple cloth over it,
And they shall put upon it all the vessels thereof,
wherewith they minister about it, even the censers, the fleshhooks, and the shovels, and the basons, all the vessels of the altar; and they shall
spread upon it a covering of badgers skins, and put to the
staves of it.
and place on it all the vessels used to serve there: the firepans, meat forks, shovels, and
sprinkling bowls—all the
equipment of the altar. They are to
spread over it a covering of fine leather and
insert the poles.

quail. No one gathered less than ten homers, and they
spread them out all around the camp.
As the valleys are they
spread forth, as gardens by the river’s side, as the trees of lign
aloes which the LORD hath planted, and as
cedar trees beside the waters.
They
spread out like palm groves, like gardens beside a stream, like
aloes the LORD has planted, like cedars beside the waters.
And, lo, he hath given occasions of speech against her, saying, I found not thy daughter a
maid; and yet these are the
tokens of my daughter’s
virginity. And they shall
spread the cloth before the elders of the city.
And now he has accused her of shameful conduct, saying, ‘I discovered that your daughter was not a virgin.’ But here is the proof of her
virginity.” And they shall
spread out the cloth before the city elders.
As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings:

Spread the corner of your garment over me, for you are a
kinsman-
redeemer.”
And the Philistines put themselves in
array against Israel: and when they joined battle, Israel was
smitten before the Philistines: and they
slew of the army in the field about four thousand men.

And there was
trembling in the host, in the field, and among all the people: the garrison, and the spoilers, they also
trembled, and the earth
quaked: so it was a very great
trembling.
Then terror struck the Philistines in the camp, in the field, and among all the people. Even those in the outposts and
raiding parties
trembled. Indeed, the earth
quaked and
panic spread from God.
And when he had brought him down, behold, they were
spread abroad upon all the earth, eating and drinking, and dancing, because of all the great
spoil that they had taken out of the land of the Philistines, and out of the land of Judah.

Amalekites spread out over all the land, eating, drinking, and

Rephaim.
Once again the Philistines came up and
spread out in the Valley of
Rephaim.

spread Absalom a tent upon the top of the house; and

And the woman took and
spread a covering over the well’s mouth, and

nobody would know a thing.

And Rizpah the daughter of Aiah took
sackcloth, and
spread it for her upon the rock, from the beginning of harvest until water dropped upon them out of heaven, and suffered neither the birds of the air to rest on them by day, nor the beasts of the field by night.
And Rizpah the daughter of Aiah took
sackcloth and
spread it out for herself on a rock. From the beginning of the harvest until the rain from heaven poured down on the bodies, she did not allow the birds of the air to rest on them by day, nor the beasts of the field by night.
Then did I beat them as small as the dust of the earth, I did stamp them as the
mire of the street, and did
spread them abroad.
I ground them as the dust of the earth; I
crushed and
trampled them like mud in the streets.
For he was wiser than all men; than
Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round about.

Ethan the Ezrahite, and wiser than Heman, Calcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol. And his fame
spread throughout the surrounding nations.
And he set the cherubims within the inner house: and they stretched forth the wings of the cherubims, so that the wing of the one touched the one wall, and the wing of the other
cherub touched the other wall; and their wings touched one another in the midst of the house.
And he placed the
cherubim inside the
innermost room of the temple. Since their wings were
spread out, the wing of the first
cherub touched one wall, while the wing of the second
cherub touched the other wall, and in the middle of the room their wingtips touched.
The two doors also were of olive tree; and he carved upon them carvings of cherubims and palm trees and open flowers, and overlaid them with gold, and spread gold upon the cherubims, and upon the palm trees.

What prayer and
supplication soever be made by any man, or by all thy people Israel, which shall know every man the plague of his own heart, and
spread forth his hands toward this house:
then may whatever prayer or petition Your people Israel make—each knowing his own afflictions and spreading out his hands toward this temple—
And it was so, that when Solomon had made an end of praying all this prayer and
supplication unto the LORD, he arose from before the altar of the LORD, from
kneeling on his knees with his hands
spread up to heaven.
Now when Solomon had finished praying this entire prayer and petition to the LORD, he got up before the altar of the LORD, where he had been
kneeling with his hands

dipped it in water, and
spread it over the king’s face. So Ben-
hadad died, and
Hazael reigned in his place.

spread it out before the LORD.

And for the altar of incense refined gold by weight; and gold for the pattern of the
chariot of the cherubims, that
spread out their wings, and covered the ark of the covenant of the LORD.
the weight of the refined gold for the altar of incense; and the plans for the
chariot of the gold
cherubim that
spread their wings and overshadowed the ark of the covenant of the LORD.
The wings of these cherubims spread themselves forth twenty cubits: and they stood on their feet, and their faces were inward.
So the total wingspan of these
cherubim was twenty cubits. They stood on their feet, facing the main room.
For the cherubims
spread forth their wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubims covered the ark and the
staves thereof above.

And he stood before the altar of the LORD in the presence of all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands:
Then Solomon stood before the altar of the LORD in front of the whole assembly of Israel and spread out his hands.
For Solomon had made a
brasen scaffold, of five cubits long, and five cubits broad, and three cubits high, and had set it in the midst of the court: and upon it he stood, and
kneeled down upon his knees before all the congregation of Israel, and
spread forth his hands toward heaven,
Now Solomon had made a bronze platform five cubits long, five cubits wide, and three cubits high, and had placed it in the middle of the

supplication soever shall be made of any man, or of all thy people Israel, when every one shall know his own

spread forth his hands in this house:
then may whatever prayer or petition Your people Israel make—each knowing his own afflictions and spreading out his hands toward this temple—

And he made in Jerusalem engines, invented by
cunning men, to be on the towers and upon the bulwarks, to shoot arrows and great stones

spread far abroad; for he was marvellously helped, till he was strong.
And in Jerusalem he made
skillfully designed devices to shoot arrows and
catapult large stones from the towers and corners. So his fame
spread far and wide, for he was helped
tremendously so that he became powerful.
And at the evening sacrifice I arose up from my
heaviness; and having rent my garment and my
mantle, I fell upon my knees, and
spread out my hands unto the LORD my God.
At the evening offering, I got up from my
humiliation with my
tunic and
cloak torn, and I fell on my knees,
spread out my hands to the LORD my God,
And I said unto the nobles, and to the rulers, and to the rest of the people, The work is great and large, and we are separated upon the wall, one far from another.
Then I said to the nobles, the officials, and the rest of the people: “The work is great and extensive, and we are spread out far from one another along the wall.
Then I sent unto him, saying, There are no such things done as thou sayest, but thou feignest them out of thine own heart.
Then I sent him this reply: “There is nothing to these rumors you are
spreading; you are
inventing them in your own mind.”
And that they should
publish and
proclaim in all their cities, and in Jerusalem, saying, Go forth unto the mount, and
fetch olive branches, and pine branches, and
myrtle branches, and palm branches, and branches of thick trees, to make booths, as it is written.
So they proclaimed this message and
spread it throughout their towns and in Jerusalem, saying, “Go out to the hill country and bring back branches of olive, wild olive,
myrtle, palm, and other
leafy trees, to make booths, as it is written.”
For
Mordecai was great in the king’s house, and his fame went out throughout all the provinces: for this man
Mordecai waxed greater and greater.
For
Mordecai exercised great power in the palace, and his fame
spread throughout the provinces as he became more and more powerful.
He is green before the sun, and his branch shooteth forth in his garden.
He is a well-watered plant in the
sunshine,
spreading its shoots over the garden.
Which alone spreadeth out the heavens, and treadeth upon the waves of the sea.
He alone stretches out the heavens and treads on the waves of the sea.
If I wait, the grave is mine house: I have made my bed in the darkness.
If I look for
Sheol as my home, if I
spread out my bed in darkness,
He holdeth back the face of his throne, and spreadeth his cloud upon it.
He covers the face of the full moon, spreading over it His cloud.
My root was
spread out by the waters, and the
dew lay all night upon my branch.
My roots will
spread out to the waters, and the
dew will rest nightly on my branches.
Also can any understand the spreadings of the clouds, or the noise of his tabernacle?
Behold, he spreadeth his light upon it, and covereth the bottom of the sea.
See how He scatters His
lightning around Him and covers the depths of the sea.
Hast thou with him
spread out the sky, which is strong, and as a
molten looking glass?
can you, like Him,
spread out the
skies to
reflect the heat like a mirror of bronze?
That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, that the wicked might be
shaken out of it?
that it might
spread to the ends of the earth and
shake the wicked out of it?
What time she lifteth up herself on high, she scorneth the horse and his rider.
Yet when she proudly spreads her wings, she laughs at the horse and its rider.
Doth the
hawk fly by thy wisdom, and stretch her wings toward the south?
Does the
hawk take flight by your understanding and
spread his wings toward the south?
Sharp stones are under him: he
spreadeth sharp pointed things upon the
mire.
I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree.
I have seen a wicked,
ruthless man flourishing like a well-rooted native tree,
And if he come to see me, he speaketh vanity: his heart gathereth iniquity to itself; when he goeth abroad, he telleth it.
