Among the gods there is none like unto thee, O Lord; neither are there any works like unto thy works.
O Lord, there is none like You among the gods, nor any works like Yours.
All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before
thee, O Lord; and shall
glorify thy name.
All
the nations You have made will come and bow before You, O Lord, and
they will
glorify Your name.
I will praise
thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will
glorify thy name for
evermore.
I will praise You, O Lord my God, with all my heart; I will
glorify Your name
forever.
For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from
the lowest
hell.
For great is Your loving devotion to me; You have delivered me from
the depths of
Sheol.
O God,
the proud are risen against me, and
the assemblies of violent men have sought after my soul; and have not set
thee before
them.
The arrogant rise against me, O God; a band of
ruthless men seeks my life, with no regard for You.
O turn unto me, and have mercy upon me; give thy strength unto thy servant, and save
the son of thine
handmaid.
Turn to me and have mercy; grant Your strength to Your servant; save
the son of Your
maidservant.
Show me a
token for good; that
they which
hate me may see it, and be
ashamed: because thou, LORD, hast helped me, and comforted me.
Show me a sign of Your goodness, that my enemies may see and be
ashamed; for You, O LORD, have helped me and comforted me.
His foundation is in the holy mountains.
He has founded His city on the holy mountains.
The LORD loveth
the gates of
Zion more than all
the dwellings of Jacob.
The LORD loves
the gates of
Zion more than all
the dwellings of Jacob.
Glorious things are spoken of
thee, O city of God.
Selah.
Glorious things are ascribed to you, O city of God.
Selah I will make mention of
Rahab and Babylon to
them that know me: behold Philistia, and Tyre, with
Ethiopia; this man was born
there.
“I will mention
Rahab and Babylon among those who know Me— along with Philistia, Tyre, and
Cush— when I say, ‘This one was born in
Zion.’”
And of
Zion it shall be said, This and that man was born in her: and
the highest himself shall establish her.
And it will be said of
Zion: “This one and that one were born in her, and
the Most High Himself will establish her.”
The LORD shall count, when he writeth up
the people, that this man was born
there.
Selah.
The LORD will record in
the register of
the peoples: “This one was born in
Zion.”
Selah As well the singers as the players on instruments shall be there: all my springs are in thee.
Singers and pipers will
proclaim, “All my springs of joy are in You.”
O LORD God of my salvation, I have
cried day and night before
thee:
O LORD, the God of my salvation, day and night I cry out before You.
Let my prayer come before
thee:
incline thine ear unto my cry;
May my prayer come before You;
incline Your ear to my cry.
For my soul is full of troubles: and my life draweth
nigh unto
the grave.
For my soul is full of troubles, and my life draws near to
Sheol.
I am counted with them that go down into the pit: I am as a man that hath no strength:
I am counted among those descending to the Pit. I am like a man without strength.
Free among the dead, like the slain that lie in the grave, whom thou rememberest no more: and they are cut off from thy hand.
I am
forsaken among
the dead, like
the slain who lie in
the grave, whom You remember no more, who are cut off from Your care.
Thou hast laid me in the lowest pit, in darkness, in the deeps.
You have laid me in the lowest Pit, in the darkest of the depths.
Thou hast put away mine acquaintance far from me; thou hast made me an
abomination unto
them: I am shut up, and I cannot come forth.
You have removed my friends from me; You have made me
repulsive to
them; I am confined and cannot escape.
Mine eye mourneth by reason of
affliction: LORD, I have called daily upon
thee, I have stretched out my hands unto
thee.
My eyes grow
dim with grief. I call to You daily, O LORD; I spread out my hands to You.
Wilt thou
shew wonders to
the dead? shall
the dead arise and praise
thee?
Selah.
Do You work wonders for
the dead? Do departed spirits rise up to praise You?
Selah Shall thy lovingkindness be declared in the grave? or thy faithfulness in destruction?
Can Your loving devotion be proclaimed in
the grave, Your faithfulness in
Abaddon?
Shall thy wonders be known in
the dark? and thy righteousness in
the land of
forgetfulness?
Will Your wonders be known in
the darkness, or Your righteousness in
the land of
oblivion?
But unto
thee have I
cried, O LORD; and in
the morning shall my prayer prevent
thee.
But to You, O LORD, I cry for help; in the morning my prayer comes before You.
They came round about me daily like water; they compassed me about together.
All day long
they engulf me like water;
they enclose me on every side.
I will sing of
the mercies of
the LORD for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.
I will sing of
the loving devotion of
the LORD
forever; with my mouth I will
proclaim Your faithfulness to all generations.
For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy faithfulness shalt thou establish in the very heavens.
For I have said, “Loving devotion is built up
forever; in
the heavens You establish Your faithfulness.”
And the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O LORD: thy faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints.
The heavens praise Your wonders, O LORD— Your faithfulness as well— in the assembly of the holy ones.
For who in
the heaven can be compared unto
the LORD? who among
the sons of
the mighty can be
likened unto
the LORD?
For who in
the skies can compare with
the LORD? Who among
the heavenly beings is like
the LORD?
God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about him.
In
the council of
the holy ones, God is greatly feared, and
awesome above all who
surround Him.
O LORD God of hosts, who is a strong LORD like unto thee? or to thy faithfulness round about thee?
O LORD God of Hosts, who is like You? O mighty LORD, Your faithfulness surrounds You.
Thou rulest
the raging of
the sea: when
the waves
thereof arise, thou stillest
them.
You rule
the raging sea; when its waves mount up, You still
them.
The heavens are thine,
the earth also is thine: as for
the world and
the fulness thereof, thou hast founded
them.
The heavens are Yours, and also the earth. The earth and its fullness You founded.
The north and
the south thou hast created
them:
Tabor and
Hermon shall
rejoice in thy name.
Justice and judgment are
the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face.
Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; loving devotion and faithfulness go before You.
Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O LORD, in the light of thy countenance.
Blessed are those who know the joyful sound, who walk, O LORD, in the light of Your presence.
In thy name shall
they rejoice all
the day: and in thy righteousness shall
they be
exalted.
They rejoice in Your name all day long, and in Your righteousness
they exult.
For thou art
the glory of
their strength: and in thy favour our horn shall be
exalted.
For You are
the glory of
their strength, and by Your favor our horn is
exalted.
For the LORD is our defence; and the Holy One of Israel is our king.
Surely our shield belongs to the LORD, and our king to the Holy One of Israel.
Then thou spakest in vision to thy holy one, and saidst, I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have
exalted one chosen out of
the people.
You once spoke in a vision; to Your godly ones You said, “I have bestowed help on a
warrior; I have
exalted one chosen from
the people.
The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor
the son of wickedness
afflict him.
No enemy will exact tribute; no wicked man will
oppress him.
And I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague
them that
hate him.
I will
crush his foes before him and strike down those who
hate him.
I will set his hand also in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.
I will set his hand over the sea, and his right hand upon the rivers.
He shall cry unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.
He will call to Me, ‘You are my Father, my God, the Rock of my salvation.’
Also I will make him my
firstborn, higher than
the kings of
the earth.
I will indeed
appoint him as My
firstborn,
the highest of
the kings of
the earth.
His seed also will I make to
endure for ever, and his throne as
the days of heaven.
I will establish his line
forever, his throne as long as
the heavens
endure.
If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments;
if
they violate My statutes and fail to keep My commandments,
Then will I visit
their transgression with
the rod, and
their iniquity with stripes.
I will attend to
their transgression with
the rod, and to
their iniquity with stripes.
My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.
His seed shall
endure for ever, and his throne as
the sun before me.
his offspring shall
endure forever, and his throne before Me like
the sun,
It shall be established for ever as
the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven.
Selah.
like
the moon, established
forever, a faithful witness in
the sky.”
Selah Thou hast made void
the covenant of thy servant: thou hast
profaned his crown by casting it to
the ground.
You have
renounced the covenant with Your servant and
sullied his crown in
the dust.
All that pass by
the way
spoil him: he is a reproach to his neighbours.
All who pass by
plunder him; he has become a reproach to his neighbors.
Thou hast set up
the right hand of his
adversaries; thou hast made all his enemies to
rejoice.
You have
exalted the right hand of his foes; You have made all his enemies
rejoice.
Thou hast also turned the edge of his sword, and hast not made him to stand in the battle.
You have bent the edge of his sword and have not sustained him in battle.
Thou hast made his glory to cease, and cast his throne down to the ground.
You have ended his
splendor and cast his throne to
the ground.
The days of his youth hast thou
shortened: thou hast covered him with shame.
Selah.
You have cut short
the days of his youth; You have covered him with shame.
Selah Remember how short my time is: wherefore hast thou made all men in vain?
Remember
the briefness of my lifespan! For what
futility You have created all men!
What man is he that liveth, and shall not see death? shall he deliver his soul from
the hand of
the grave?
Selah.
What man can live and never see death? Can he deliver his soul from
the power of
Sheol?
Selah Remember, Lord,
the reproach of thy servants; how I do bear in my
bosom the reproach of all
the mighty people;
Remember, O Lord, the reproach of Your servants, which I bear in my heart from so many people—
Before
the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed
the earth and
the world, even from
everlasting to
everlasting, thou art God.
Before
the mountains were born or You brought forth
the earth and
the world, from
everlasting to
everlasting You are God.
For a thousand years in thy sight are but as
yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in
the night.
For in Your sight a thousand years are but a day that passes, or a watch of the night.
Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep: in the morning they are like grass which groweth up.
You
whisk them away in
their sleep;
they are like
the new grass of
the morning—
In the morning it flourisheth, and groweth up; in the evening it is cut down, and withereth.
in
the morning it springs up new, but by evening it fades and
withers.
Thou hast set our
iniquities before
thee, our secret sins in
the light of thy countenance.
You have set our
iniquities before You, our secret sins in
the light of Your presence.
The days of our years are
threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength
they be
fourscore years, yet is
their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.
The length of our days is seventy years— or eighty if we are strong— yet their pride is but labor and sorrow, for they quickly pass, and we fly away.
Who knoweth the power of thine anger? even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath.
Who knows
the power of Your anger? Your wrath
matches the fear You are due.
Return, O LORD, how long? and let it
repent thee concerning thy servants.
Return, O LORD! How long will it be? Have
compassion on Your servants.
O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may
rejoice and be
glad all our days.
Satisfy us in
the morning with Your loving devotion, that we may sing for joy and be
glad all our days.
Make us
glad according to
the days wherein thou hast
afflicted us, and
the years wherein we have seen evil.
Make us
glad for as many days as You have
afflicted us, for as many years as we have seen evil.
Let thy work appear unto thy servants, and thy glory unto their children.
May Your work be shown to Your servants, and Your
splendor to
their children.
And let
the beauty of
the LORD our God be upon us: and establish thou
the work of our hands upon us;
yea,
the work of our hands establish thou it.
May
the favor of
the Lord our God rest upon us; establish for us
the work of our hands—
yes, establish
the work of our hands!
He that dwelleth in
the secret place of
the most High shall
abide under
the shadow of
the Almighty.
He who dwells in
the shelter of
the Most High will
abide in
the shadow of
the Almighty.
I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
I will say to the LORD, “You are my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”
Surely He will deliver you from
the snare of
the fowler, and from
the deadly plague.
He shall cover
thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and
buckler.
He will cover you with His feathers; under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and
rampart.
Thou shalt not be afraid for
the terror by night; nor for
the arrow that flieth by day;
You will not fear
the terror of
the night, nor
the arrow that
flies by day,
Nor for
the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for
the destruction that wasteth at
noonday.
A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come
nigh thee.
Though a thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand, no
harm will come near you.
Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
You will only see it with your eyes and witness the punishment of the wicked.
Because thou hast made
the LORD, which is my refuge, even
the most High, thy
habitation;
Because you have made the LORD your dwelling— my refuge, the Most High—
There shall no evil
befall thee, neither shall any plague come
nigh thy dwelling.
no evil will
befall you, no plague will approach your tent.
For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.
They shall bear
thee up in
their hands, lest thou
dash thy foot against a stone.
They will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
Thou shalt
tread upon
the lion and adder:
the young lion and
the dragon shalt thou
trample under feet.
Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
“Because he loves Me, I will deliver him; because he knows My name, I will protect him.
It is a good thing to give
thanks unto
the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:
It is good to praise the LORD, and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High,
To
shew forth thy lovingkindness in
the morning, and thy faithfulness every night,
to
proclaim Your loving devotion in
the morning and Your faithfulness at night
Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon
the psaltery; upon
the harp with a solemn sound.
For thou, LORD, hast made me
glad through thy work: I will triumph in
the works of thy hands.
For You, O LORD, have made me
glad by Your deeds; I sing for joy at
the works of Your hands.
When
the wicked spring as
the grass, and when all
the workers of iniquity do
flourish; it is that
they shall be destroyed for ever:
For, lo, thine enemies, O LORD, for, lo, thine enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.
For surely Your enemies, O LORD, surely Your enemies will perish; all evildoers will be scattered.
But You have
exalted my horn like that of a wild ox; with fine oil I have been
anointed.
Mine eye also shall see my desire on mine enemies, and mine ears shall hear my desire of the wicked that rise up against me.
My eyes see
the downfall of my enemies; my ears hear
the wailing of my wicked foes.
Those that be planted in
the house of
the LORD shall
flourish in
the courts of our God.
Planted in
the house of
the LORD,
they will
flourish in
the courts of our God.
