Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that it shall no more be called
Tophet, nor the valley of the son of
Hinnom, but the valley of slaughter: for they shall
bury in

Topheth and the Valley of
Hinnom, but the Valley of Slaughter. For they will

Topheth until there is no more room.

defiled as the place of

prophesy, and he stood in the
courtyard of the house of the LORD and proclaimed to all the people,
Arise, cry out in the night: in the beginning of the watches pour out thine heart like water before the face of the Lord: lift up thy hands toward him for the life of thy young children, that
faint for hunger in the
top of every street.
Arise, cry out in the night from the first watch of the night. Pour out your heart like water in the presence of the Lord. Lift up your hands to Him for the lives of your children who are
fainting from hunger on the corner of every street.

Then you will know that I am the LORD, when their slain lie among their idols around their altars, on every high hill, on all the mountaintops, and under every green tree and
leafy oak—the places where they offered
fragrant incense to all their idols.
Because thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, but hast
fretted me in all these things; behold, therefore I also will
recompense thy way upon thine head, saith the Lord GOD: and thou shalt not commit this
lewdness above all thine abominations.
Because you did not remember the days of your youth, but
enraged Me with all these things, I will surely bring your deeds down upon your own head, declares the Lord GOD. Have you not committed this
lewdness on
top of all your other abominations?

divers colours, came unto
Lebanon, and took the highest branch of the
cedar:

cropped off the
top of his young twigs, and carried it into a land of

Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also take of the highest branch of the high
cedar, and will set it; I will crop off from the
top of his young twigs a tender one, and will plant it upon an high mountain and eminent:

That it might cause
fury to come up to take
vengeance; I have set her blood upon the
top of a rock, that it should not be covered.
In order to
stir up wrath and take
vengeance, I have placed her blood on the bare rock, so that it would not be covered.’

Thou hast been in
Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the
sardius,
topaz, and the
diamond, the
beryl, the
onyx, and the
jasper, the
sapphire, the
emerald, and the
carbuncle, and gold: the
workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou
wast created.
You were in
Eden, the garden of God. Every kind of precious stone adorned you:
ruby,
topaz, and
diamond,
beryl,
onyx, and
jasper,
sapphire,
turquoise, and
emerald. Your mountings and settings were crafted in gold, prepared on the day of your creation.

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast lifted up
thyself in height, and he hath shot up his
top among the thick boughs, and his heart is lifted up in his height;
Therefore this is what the Lord GOD says: ‘Since it became great in height and set its top among the clouds, and it grew proud on account of its height,
To the end that none of all the trees by the waters
exalt themselves for their height, neither shoot up their
top among the thick boughs, neither their trees stand up in their height, all that drink water: for they are all delivered unto death, to the
nether parts of the earth, in the midst of the children of men, with them that go down to the pit.
This happened so that no other trees by the waters would become great in height and set their
tops among the clouds, and no other well-watered trees would reach them in height. For they have all been
consigned to death, to the depths of the earth, among the mortals who descend to the Pit.’

The tree grew, and was strong, and the height thereof reached unto heaven, and the sight thereof to the end of all the earth:

The tree you saw that grew large and strong, whose top reached the sky and was visible to all the earth,

tops of the mountains, and burn incense upon the hills, under oaks and poplars and elms, because the shadow thereof is good: therefore your daughters shall commit
whoredom, and your spouses shall commit

poplar, and
terebinth, because their shade is pleasant. And so your daughters turn to
prostitution and your daughters-in-law to
adultery.

lintel of the door, that the posts may
shake: and cut them in the head, all of them; and I will

flee away, and he that escapeth of them shall not be delivered.
I saw the Lord standing beside the altar, and He said: “Strike the
tops of the pillars so that the thresholds
shake.
Topple them on the heads of all the people, and I will kill the rest with the sword. None of those who
flee will get away; none of the fugitives will escape.
And though they hide themselves in the
top of
Carmel, I will search and take them out thence; and though they be
hid from my sight in the bottom of the sea, thence will I command the serpent, and he shall
bite them:
Though they hide themselves
atop Carmel, there I will
track them and seize them; and though they hide from Me at the bottom of the sea, there I will command the serpent to
bite them.

“What do you see?” he asked. “I see a solid gold lampstand,” I replied, “with a
bowl at the
top and seven lamps on it, with seven spouts to the lamps.

twain from the
top to the bottom.

tunic remaining. It was
seamless,
woven in one piece from
top to bottom.
