Corban, that is to say, a gift, by
whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; he shall be free.
But you say that if a man says to his father or mother, ‘
Whatever you would have received from me is
Corban’ (that is, a gift devoted to God),
There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can
defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are they that
defile the man.
Nothing that enters a man from the outside can
defile him; but the things that come out of a man, these are
what defile him.”
And he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that
whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, it cannot
defile him;
“Are you still so dull?” He asked. “Do you not understand? Nothing that enters a man from the outside can
defile him,
And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.

All these evils come from within, and these are

forfeit his soul?
Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?
For he

And as they came down from the mountain, he charged them that they should tell no man what things they had seen, till the Son of man were risen from the dead.
As they were coming down the mountain, Jesus
admonished them not to tell
anyone what they had seen until the Son of Man had risen from the dead.
And they kept that saying with themselves, questioning one with another what the rising from the dead should mean.
So they kept this matter to themselves,
discussing what it meant to rise from the dead.
But I say unto you, That Elias is indeed come, and they have done unto him

scribes,
What question ye with them?
“What are you disputing with them?” He asked.
And he came to
Capernaum: and being in the house he asked them,

Then they came to
Capernaum. While Jesus was in the house, He asked them, “
What were you

yourselves, and be at peace with one another.”

whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have
treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.

treasure in heaven. Then come, follow Me.”

baptized with the baptism I will undergo?”

verily I say unto you, That
whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have
whatsoever he saith.
“Truly I tell you that if
anyone says to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and has no doubt in his heart but believes that it will happen, it will be done for him.

“I will ask you one question,” Jesus replied, “and if you answer Me, I will tell you by what authority I am doing these things.
And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then did ye not believe him?

what they should answer: “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ He will ask, ‘Why then did you not believe him?’
And they answered and said unto Jesus, We cannot tell. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.

“Tell us, when will these things happen? And what will be the sign that they are about to be fulfilled?”
But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought
beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye
premeditate: but
whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.
But when they arrest you and hand you over, do not
worry beforehand what to say. Instead, speak
whatever you are given at that time, for it will not be you speaking, but the Holy Spirit.
And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

what she could to
anoint My body in advance of My burial.

And truly I tell you, wherever the gospel is preached in all the world, what she has done will also be told in memory of her.”

what I will, but
what You will.”

Pilate answered and said again unto them,

Then
Pilate said unto them, Why,
what evil hath he done? And they
cried out the more exceedingly,
Crucify him.
And when they had
crucified him, they parted his garments, casting lots upon them,
what every man should take.

crucified Him. They also divided His garments by casting lots to decide

what shall we do? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither

what should we do?” “Do not take money by force or false
accusation,” he said. “Be content with your wages.”

amazed, and spake among themselves, saying,

All the people were overcome with
amazement and asked one another, “
What is this message? With authority and power He commands the unclean spirits, and they come out!”

what way they might bring him in because of the multitude, they went upon the housetop, and let him down through the
tiling with his
couch into the midst before Jesus.

tiles into the middle of the crowd, right in front of Jesus.

what he had been lying on, and went home
glorifying God.

what David did, when himself was an
hungred, and they which were with him;
Jesus replied, “Have you not read
what David did when he and his companions were
hungry?
How he went into the house of God, and did take and eat the
shewbread, and gave also to them that were with him; which it is not lawful to eat but for the priests alone?
He entered the house of God, took the consecrated bread and gave it to his companions, and
ate what is lawful only for the priests to eat.”
And they were filled with madness; and communed one with another what they might do to Jesus.

what is yours, do not demand it back.
For if ye love them which love you,
what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them.
If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them.
And if ye do good to them which do good to you,
what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.
If you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do the same.
And if ye
lend to them of whom ye hope to receive,
what thank have ye? for sinners also
lend to sinners, to receive as much again.
And if you
lend to those from whom you expect repayment,
what credit is that to you? Even sinners
lend to sinners, expecting to be repaid in full.
And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
Why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ but not do what I say?
Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will
shew you to whom he is like:
I will show you what he is like who comes to Me and hears My words and acts on them:
Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John
what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the
lame walk, the lepers are
cleansed, the
deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.
So He replied, “Go back and report to John
what you have seen and heard: The blind receive sight, the
lame walk, the lepers are
cleansed, the
deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is preached to the poor.
And when the messengers of John were departed, he began to speak unto the people concerning John,
What went ye out into the wilderness for to see? A reed
shaken with the wind?
After John’s messengers had left, Jesus began to speak to the crowds about John: “
What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed
swaying in the wind?
But
what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft
raiment? Behold, they which are
gorgeously apparelled, and live delicately, are in kings courts.
Otherwise,
what did you go out to see? A man dressed in fine clothes? Look, those who wear elegant clothing and live in
luxury are found in palaces.
But
what went ye out for to see? A prophet?
Yea, I say unto you, and much more than a prophet.
What then did you go out to see? A prophet?
Yes, I tell you, and more than a prophet.
And the Lord said,
Whereunto then shall I
liken the men of this generation? and to
what are they like?
“To what, then, can I compare the men of this generation? What are they like?
Now when the
Pharisee which had
bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and
what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a
sinner.
When the
Pharisee who had invited Jesus saw this, he said to himself, “If this man were a prophet, He would know who this is and
what kind of woman is touching Him—for she is a
sinner!”
And his disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable be?
Then His disciples asked Him what this parable meant.
Take
heed therefore how ye hear: for
whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and
whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have.
Pay attention, therefore, to how you
listen.
Whoever has will be given more, but
whoever does not have, even
what he thinks he has will be taken away from him.”
And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him.
“Where is your faith?” He asked.
Frightened and
amazed, they asked one another, “Who is this? He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey Him!”
When he saw Jesus, he
cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said,
What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God most high? I
beseech thee,
torment me not.
When the man saw Jesus, he
cried out and fell down before Him,
shouting in a loud voice, “
What do You want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I
beg You not to
torture me!”
And Jesus asked him, saying,
What is thy name? And he said,
Legion: because many devils were entered into him.
“
What is your name?” Jesus asked. “
Legion,” he replied, because many demons had gone into him.
When they that fed them saw what was done, they fled, and went and told it in the city and in the country.
When those tending the pigs saw
what had happened, they ran off and reported this in the town and
countryside.
