And he shall do with the
bullock as he did with the
bullock for a sin offering, so shall he do with this: and the priest shall make an
atonement for them, and it shall be
forgiven them.
He shall offer this bull just as he did the bull
for the sin offering; in this way the priest will make
atonement on their behalf, and they will be
forgiven.
And he shall carry
forth the
bullock without the camp, and burn him as he burned the first
bullock: it is a sin offering
for the congregation.
Then he is to take the bull outside the camp and burn it, just as he burned the first bull. It is the sin offering for the assembly.
And he shall burn all his fat upon the altar, as the fat of the sacrifice of peace offerings: and the priest shall make an
atonement for him as concerning his sin, and it shall be
forgiven him.
He must burn all its fat on the altar, like the fat of the peace offerings; thus the priest will make
atonement for that man’s sin, and he will be
forgiven.
Or if his sin, which he hath
sinned, come to his knowledge: then he shall bring his offering, a
kid of the goats, a female without
blemish,
for his sin which he hath
sinned.
When he becomes aware of the sin he has committed, he must bring an
unblemished female goat as his offering
for that sin.
And he shall take away all the fat thereof, as the fat is taken away from off the sacrifice of peace offerings; and the priest shall burn it upon the altar
for a sweet savour unto the LORD; and the priest shall make an
atonement for him, and it shall be
forgiven him.
Then he is to remove all the fat, just as it is removed from the peace offering, and the priest is to burn it on the altar as a pleasing
aroma to the LORD. In this way the priest will make
atonement for him, and he will be
forgiven.
And if he bring a lamb
for a sin offering, he shall bring it a female without
blemish.
If, however, he brings a lamb as a sin offering, he must bring an
unblemished female.
And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the sin offering, and
slay it
for a sin offering in the place where they kill the burnt offering
And he is to lay his hand on the head of the sin offering and slaughter it as a sin offering at the place where the burnt offering is slaughtered.
And he shall take away all the fat thereof, as the fat of the lamb is taken away from the sacrifice of the peace offerings; and the priest shall burn them upon the altar, according to the offerings made by fire unto the LORD: and the priest shall make an
atonement for his sin that he hath committed, and it shall be
forgiven him.
And he shall remove all the fat, just as the fat of the lamb is removed from the peace offerings, and he shall burn it on the altar along with the offerings made by fire to the LORD. In this way the priest will make
atonement for him
for the sin he has committed, and he will be
forgiven.
And he shall bring his
trespass offering unto the LORD
for his sin which he hath
sinned, a female from the flock, a lamb or a
kid of the goats,
for a sin offering; and the priest shall make an
atonement for him concerning his sin.
and he must bring his guilt offering to the LORD
for the sin he has committed: a female lamb or goat from the flock as a sin offering. And the priest will make
atonement for him concerning his sin.
And if he be not able to bring a lamb, then he shall bring
for his
trespass, which he hath committed, two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, unto the LORD; one
for a sin offering, and the other
for a burnt offering.
If, however, he cannot afford a lamb, he may bring to the LORD as
restitution for his sin two turtledoves or two young pigeons—one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering.
And he shall bring them unto the priest, who shall offer that which is
for the sin offering first, and
wring off his head from his neck, but shall not divide it
asunder:
He is to bring them to the priest, who shall first present the one for the sin offering. He is to twist its head at the front of its neck without severing it;
And he shall offer the second
for a burnt offering, according to the manner: and the priest shall make an
atonement for him
for his sin which he hath
sinned, and it shall be
forgiven him.
And the priest must prepare the second bird as a burnt offering according to the
ordinance. In this way the priest will make
atonement for him
for the sin he has committed, and he will be
forgiven.
But if he be not able to bring two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, then he that
sinned shall bring
for his offering the tenth part of an
ephah of fine flour
for a sin offering; he shall put no oil upon it, neither shall he put any
frankincense thereon:
for it is a sin offering.
But if he cannot afford two turtledoves or two young pigeons, he may bring a tenth of an
ephah of fine flour as a sin offering. He must not put olive oil or
frankincense on it, because it is a sin offering.
And the priest shall make an
atonement for him as touching his sin that he hath
sinned in one of these, and it shall be
forgiven him: and the
remnant shall be the priest’s, as a meat offering.
In this way the priest will make
atonement for him
for any of these sins he has committed, and he will be
forgiven. The remainder will belong to the priest, like the grain offering.”
If a soul commit a
trespass, and sin through ignorance, in the holy things of the LORD; then he shall bring
for his
trespass unto the LORD a ram without
blemish out of the flocks, with thy
estimation by shekels of silver, after the
shekel of the sanctuary,
for a
trespass offering:
“If someone acts unfaithfully and sins
unintentionally against any of the LORD’s holy things, he must bring his guilt offering to the LORD: an
unblemished ram from the flock, of proper value in silver shekels according to the sanctuary
shekel; it is a guilt offering.
And he shall make
amends for the
harm that he hath done in the holy thing, and shall add the fifth part
thereto, and give it unto the priest: and the priest shall make an
atonement for him with the ram of the
trespass offering, and it shall be
forgiven him.
Regarding any holy thing he has
harmed, he must make
restitution by adding a fifth of its value to it and giving it to the priest, who will make
atonement on his behalf with the ram as a guilt offering, and he will be
forgiven.
And if a soul sin, and commit any of these things which are
forbidden to be done by the commandments of the LORD; though he
wist it not, yet is he guilty, and shall bear his iniquity.
If someone sins and
violates any of the LORD’s commandments even though he was unaware, he is guilty and shall bear his punishment.
And he shall bring a ram without
blemish out of the flock, with thy
estimation,
for a
trespass offering, unto the priest: and the priest shall make an
atonement for him concerning his ignorance wherein he
erred and
wist it not, and it shall be
forgiven him.
He is to bring to the priest an
unblemished ram of proper value from the flock as a guilt offering. Then the priest will make
atonement on his behalf
for the wrong he has committed in ignorance, and he will be
forgiven.
Then he must bring to the priest his guilt offering to the LORD: an
unblemished ram of proper value from the flock.
And the priest shall make an
atonement for him before the LORD: and it shall be
forgiven him
for any thing of all that he hath done in
trespassing therein.
In this way the priest will make
atonement for him before the LORD, and he will be
forgiven for anything he may have done to
incur guilt.”
And he shall put off his garments, and put on other garments, and carry forth the ashes without the camp unto a clean place.
Then he must take off his garments, put on other clothes, and carry the ashes outside the camp to a
ceremonially clean place.
And he shall take of it his handful, of the flour of the meat offering, and of the oil thereof, and all the
frankincense which is upon the meat offering, and shall burn it upon the altar
for a sweet savour, even the
memorial of it, unto the LORD.
The priest is to remove a handful of fine flour and olive oil, together with all the
frankincense from the grain offering, and burn the
memorial portion on the altar as a pleasing
aroma to the LORD.
It shall not be
baken with
leaven. I have given it unto them
for their portion of my offerings made by fire; it is most holy, as is the sin offering, and as the
trespass offering.
It must not be
baked with
leaven; I have assigned it as their portion of My offerings made by fire. It is most holy, like the sin offering and the guilt offering.
All the males among the children of Aaron shall eat of it. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations concerning the offerings of the LORD made by fire: every one that toucheth them shall be holy.
Any male among the sons of Aaron may eat it. This is a permanent portion from the offerings made by fire to the LORD for the generations to come. Anything that touches them will become holy.”
This is the offering of Aaron and of his sons, which they shall offer unto the LORD in the day when he is
anointed; the tenth part of an
ephah of fine flour
for a meat offering perpetual, half of it in the morning, and half thereof at night.
“This is the offering that Aaron and his sons must present to the LORD on the day he is
anointed: a tenth of an
ephah of fine flour as a regular grain offering, half of it in the morning and half in the evening.
In a pan it shall be made with oil; and when it is
baken, thou shalt bring it in: and the
baken pieces of the meat offering shalt thou offer
for a sweet savour unto the LORD.
It shall be prepared with oil on a
griddle; you are to bring it well-
kneaded and present it as a grain offering broken in pieces, a pleasing
aroma to the LORD.
And the priest of his sons that is
anointed in his
stead shall offer it: it is a statute
for ever unto the LORD, it shall be wholly burnt.
The priest, who is one of Aaron’s sons and will be
anointed to take his place, is to prepare it. As a permanent portion
for the LORD, it must be burned completely.
For every meat offering for the priest shall be wholly burnt: it shall not be eaten.
Every grain offering for a priest shall be burned completely; it is not to be eaten.”
The priest that offereth it for sin shall eat it: in the holy place shall it be eaten, in the court of the tabernacle of the congregation.
The priest who offers it shall eat it; it must be eaten in a holy place, in the
courtyard of the Tent of Meeting.
And the priest shall burn them upon the altar
for an offering made by fire unto the LORD: it is a
trespass offering.
The priest shall burn them on the altar as an offering made by fire to the LORD; it is a guilt offering.
As the sin offering is, so is the
trespass offering: there is one law
for them: the priest that maketh
atonement therewith shall have it.
The guilt offering is like the sin offering; the same law applies to both. It belongs to the priest who makes
atonement with it.
And the priest that offereth any man’s burnt offering, even the priest shall have to himself the skin of the burnt offering which he hath offered.
As
for the priest who presents a burnt offering
for anyone, the hide of that offering belongs to him.
Besides the cakes, he shall offer
for his offering
leavened bread with the sacrifice of
thanksgiving of his peace offerings.
Along with his peace offering of
thanksgiving he is to present an offering with cakes of
leavened bread.
And of it he shall offer one out of the whole
oblation for an
heave offering unto the LORD, and it shall be the priest’s that sprinkleth the blood of the peace offerings.
From the cakes he must present one portion of each offering as a contribution to the LORD. It belongs to the priest who sprinkles the blood of the peace offering.
And the flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offerings
for thanksgiving shall be eaten the same day that it is offered; he shall not leave any of it until the morning.
The meat of the sacrifice of his peace offering of
thanksgiving must be eaten on the day he offers it; none of it may be left until morning.
And the flesh that toucheth any unclean thing shall not be eaten; it shall be burnt with fire: and as for the flesh, all that be clean shall eat thereof.
Meat that touches anything unclean must not be eaten; it is to be burned up. As
for any other meat,
anyone who is
ceremonially clean may eat it.
And the fat of the beast that dieth of itself, and the fat of that which is
torn with beasts, may be used in any other use: but ye shall in no wise eat of it.
The fat of an animal found dead or
mauled by wild beasts may be used
for any other purpose, but you must not eat it.
For whosoever eateth the fat of the beast, of which men offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD, even the soul that eateth it shall be cut off from his people.
If
anyone eats the fat of an animal from which an offering made by fire may be presented to the LORD, the one who eats it must be cut off from his people.
His own hands shall bring the offerings of the LORD made by fire, the fat with the breast, it shall he bring, that the breast may be waved for a wave offering before the LORD.
With his own hands he is to bring the offerings made by fire to the LORD; he shall bring the fat, together with the breast, and wave the breast as a wave offering before the LORD.
And the right shoulder shall ye give unto the priest
for an
heave offering of the sacrifices of your peace offerings.
And you are to give the right
thigh to the priest as a contribution from your peace offering.
He among the sons of Aaron, that offereth the blood of the peace offerings, and the fat, shall have the right shoulder for his part.
The son of Aaron who presents the blood and fat of the peace offering shall have the right
thigh as a portion.
For the wave breast and the
heave shoulder have I taken of the children of Israel from off the sacrifices of their peace offerings, and have given them unto Aaron the priest and unto his sons by a statute
for ever from among the children of Israel.
I have taken from the sons of Israel the breast of the wave offering and the
thigh of the contribution of their peace offerings, and I have given them to Aaron the priest and his sons as a permanent portion from the sons of Israel.’”
This is the portion of the
anointing of Aaron, and of the
anointing of his sons, out of the offerings of the LORD made by fire, in the day when he presented them to minister unto the LORD in the priest’s office;
This is the portion of the offerings made by fire to the LORD for Aaron and his sons since the day they were presented to serve the LORD as priests.
Which the LORD commanded to be given them of the children of Israel, in the day that he
anointed them, by a statute
for ever throughout their generations.
On the day they were
anointed, the LORD commanded that this be given them by the sons of Israel. It is a permanent portion
for the generations to come.
“Take Aaron and his sons, their garments, the
anointing oil, the bull of the sin offering, the two rams, and the
basket of
unleavened bread,
And he put the
mitre upon his head; also upon the
mitre, even upon his
forefront, did he put the golden plate, the holy crown; as the LORD commanded Moses.
Moses also put the
turban on Aaron’s head and set the gold plate, the holy
diadem, on the front of the
turban, as the LORD had commanded him.
And he brought the
bullock for the sin offering: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the
bullock for the sin offering.
Moses then brought the bull near for the sin offering, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on its head.
And he brought the ram for the burnt offering: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the ram.
Then Moses presented the ram for the burnt offering, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on its head.
And he washed the inwards and the legs in water; and Moses burnt the whole ram upon the altar: it was a burnt sacrifice for a sweet savour, and an offering made by fire unto the LORD; as the LORD commanded Moses.
He washed the
entrails and legs with water and burned the entire ram on the altar as a burnt offering, a pleasing
aroma, an offering made by fire to the LORD, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
And he put all upon Aaron’s hands, and upon his sons’ hands, and waved them for a wave offering before the LORD.
He put all these in the hands of Aaron and his sons and waved them before the LORD as a wave offering.
And Moses took them from off their hands, and burnt them on the altar upon the burnt offering: they were consecrations for a sweet savour: it is an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
Then Moses took these from their hands and burned them on the altar with the burnt offering. This was an
ordination offering, a pleasing
aroma, an offering made by fire to the LORD.
And Moses took the breast, and waved it
for a wave offering before the LORD:
for of the ram of
consecration it was Moses’ part; as the LORD commanded Moses.
He also took the breast—Moses’ portion of the ram of
ordination—and waved it before the LORD as a wave offering, as the LORD had commanded him.
And ye shall not go out of the door of the tabernacle of the congregation in seven days, until the days of your
consecration be at an end:
for seven days shall he
consecrate you.
You must not go outside the entrance to the Tent of Meeting
for seven days, until the days of your
ordination are complete;
for it will take seven days to
ordain you.
As he hath done this day, so the LORD hath commanded to do, to make an
atonement for you.
What has been done
today has been commanded by the LORD in order to make
atonement on your behalf.
Therefore shall ye
abide at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation day and night seven days, and keep the charge of the LORD, that ye die not:
for so I am commanded.
You must remain at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting day and night for seven days and keep the LORD’s charge so that you will not die, for this is what I have been commanded.”
And he said unto Aaron, Take thee a young
calf for a sin offering, and a ram
for a burnt offering, without
blemish, and offer them before the LORD.
He said to Aaron, “Take
for yourself a young bull
for a sin offering and a ram
for a burnt offering, both without
blemish, and present them before the LORD.
And unto the children of Israel thou shalt speak, saying, Take ye a
kid of the goats
for a sin offering; and a
calf and a lamb, both of the first year, without
blemish,
for a burnt offering;
Then speak to the Israelites and say, ‘Take a male goat
for a sin offering, a
calf and a lamb—both a year old and without
blemish—
for a burnt offering,
Also a
bullock and a ram
for peace offerings, to sacrifice before the LORD; and a meat offering mingled with oil:
for to day the LORD will appear unto you.
an ox and a ram
for a peace offering to sacrifice before the LORD, and a grain offering mixed with oil.
For today the LORD will appear to you.’”
And Moses said unto Aaron, Go unto the altar, and offer thy sin offering, and thy burnt offering, and make an
atonement for thyself, and
for the people: and offer the offering of the people, and make an
atonement for them; as the LORD commanded.
Then Moses said to Aaron, “Approach the altar and sacrifice your sin offering and your burnt offering to make
atonement for yourself and
for the people. And sacrifice the people’s offering to make
atonement for them, as the LORD has commanded.”
Aaron therefore went unto the altar, and
slew the
calf of the sin offering, which was
for himself.
So Aaron approached the altar and slaughtered the
calf as a sin offering
for himself.
And he brought the people’s offering, and took the goat, which was the sin offering
for the people, and
slew it, and offered it
for sin, as the first.
Aaron then presented the people’s offering. He took the male goat for the people’s sin offering, slaughtered it, and offered it for sin like the first one.
He
slew also the
bullock and the ram
for a sacrifice of peace offerings, which was
for the people: and Aaron’s sons presented unto him the blood, which he
sprinkled upon the altar round about,
Then he slaughtered the ox and the ram as the people’s peace offering. His sons brought him the blood, and he
sprinkled it on all sides of the altar.
And the breasts and the right shoulder Aaron waved for a wave offering before the LORD; as Moses commanded.
but he waved the breasts and the right
thigh as a wave offering before the LORD, as Moses had commanded.
And there came a fire out from before the LORD, and consumed upon the altar the burnt offering and the fat: which when all the people saw, they
shouted, and fell on their faces.
Fire came out from the presence of the LORD and consumed the burnt offering and the fat portions on the altar. And when all the people saw it, they
shouted for joy and fell facedown.
So they went near, and carried them in their coats out of the camp; as Moses had said.
So they came forward and carried them, still in their tunics, outside the camp, as Moses had directed.
And ye shall not go out from the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die:
for the
anointing oil of the LORD is upon you. And they did according to the word of Moses.
You shall not go outside the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, or you will die,
for the LORD’s
anointing oil is on you.” So they did as Moses
instructed.
Do not drink wine nor strong drink, thou, nor thy sons with thee, when ye go into the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations:
“You and your sons are not to drink wine or strong drink when you enter the Tent of Meeting, or else you will die; this is a permanent statute for the generations to come.
And Moses spake unto Aaron, and unto
Eleazar and unto
Ithamar, his sons that were left, Take the meat offering that remaineth of the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and eat it without
leaven beside the altar:
for it is most holy:
And Moses said to Aaron and his remaining sons,
Eleazar and
Ithamar, “Take the grain offering that remains from the offerings made by fire to the LORD and eat it without
leaven beside the altar, because it is most holy.
And ye shall eat it in the holy place, because it is thy due, and thy sons’ due, of the sacrifices of the LORD made by fire: for so I am commanded.
You shall eat it in a holy place, because it is your share and your sons’ share of the offerings made by fire to the LORD; for this is what I have been commanded.
And the wave breast and
heave shoulder shall ye eat in a clean place; thou, and thy sons, and thy daughters with thee:
for they be thy due, and thy sons’ due, which are given out of the sacrifices of peace offerings of the children of Israel.
And you and your sons and daughters may eat the breast of the wave offering and the
thigh of the contribution in a
ceremonially clean place, because these portions have been assigned to you and your children from the peace offerings of the sons of Israel.
The
heave shoulder and the wave breast shall they bring with the offerings made by fire of the fat, to wave it
for a wave offering before the LORD; and it shall be thine, and thy sons’ with thee, by a statute
for ever; as the LORD hath commanded.
They are to bring the
thigh of the contribution and the breast of the wave offering, together with the fat portions of the offerings made by fire, to wave as a wave offering before the LORD. It will belong permanently to you and your children, as the LORD has commanded.”
And Moses
diligently sought the goat of the sin offering, and, behold, it was burnt: and he was
angry with
Eleazar and
Ithamar, the sons of Aaron which were left alive, saying,
Later, Moses searched carefully
for the goat of the sin offering, and behold, it had been burned up. He was
angry with
Eleazar and
Ithamar, Aaron’s remaining sons, and asked,
Wherefore have ye not eaten the sin offering in the holy place, seeing it is most holy, and God hath given it you to bear the iniquity of the congregation, to make
atonement for them before the LORD?
“Why didn’t you eat the sin offering in the holy place?
For it is most holy; it was given to you to take away the guilt of the congregation by making
atonement for them before the LORD.
Nevertheless these shall ye not eat of them that
chew the
cud, or of them that divide the
hoof: as the
camel, because he cheweth the
cud, but divideth not the
hoof; he is unclean unto you.
But of those that only
chew the
cud or only have a divided
hoof, you are not to eat the following: The
camel, though it chews the
cud, does not have a divided
hoof; it is unclean
for you.
And the
coney, because he cheweth the
cud, but divideth not the
hoof; he is unclean unto you.
The rock
badger, though it chews the
cud, does not have a divided
hoof; it is unclean
for you.
And the
hare, because he cheweth the
cud, but divideth not the
hoof; he is unclean unto you.
The
rabbit, though it chews the
cud, does not have a divided
hoof; it is unclean
for you.
And the
swine, though he divide the
hoof, and be clovenfooted, yet he cheweth not the
cud; he is unclean to you.
And the pig, though it has a split
hoof completely divided, does not
chew the
cud; it is unclean
for you.
Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their
carcase shall ye not touch; they are unclean to you.
You must not eat their meat or touch their
carcasses; they are unclean
for you.
Yet these may ye eat of every flying
creeping thing that goeth upon all four, which have legs above their feet, to
leap withal upon the earth;
However, you may eat the following kinds of flying insects that walk on all fours: those having jointed legs above their feet
for hopping on the ground.
And
for these ye shall be unclean:
whosoever toucheth the
carcase of them shall be unclean until the even.
These creatures will make you unclean.
Whoever touches their
carcasses will be unclean until evening,
The carcases of every beast which divideth the
hoof, and is not clovenfooted, nor cheweth the
cud, are unclean unto you: every one that toucheth them shall be unclean.
Every animal with
hooves not completely divided or that does not
chew the
cud is unclean
for you.
Whoever touches any of them will be unclean.
And
whatsoever goeth upon his paws, among all manner of beasts that go on all four, those are unclean unto you:
whoso toucheth their
carcase shall be unclean until the even.
All the four-footed animals that walk on their paws are unclean
for you;
whoever touches their
carcasses will be unclean until evening,
And he that beareth the
carcase of them shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even: they are unclean unto you.
and
anyone who picks up a
carcass must wash his clothes, and he will be unclean until evening. They are unclean
for you.
The following creatures that move along the ground are unclean
for you: the
mole, the
mouse, any kind of great
lizard,
These are unclean to you among all that
creep:
whosoever doth touch them, when they be dead, shall be unclean until the even.
These animals are unclean
for you among all the
crawling creatures.
Whoever touches them when they are dead shall be unclean until evening.
And upon
whatsoever any of them, when they are dead,
doth fall, it shall be unclean; whether it be any vessel of wood, or
raiment, or skin, or
sack,
whatsoever vessel it be, wherein any work is done, it must be put into water, and it shall be unclean until the even; so it shall be
cleansed.
When one of them dies and falls on something, that article becomes unclean; any article of wood, clothing, leather,
sackcloth, or any
implement used
for work must be
rinsed with water and will remain unclean until evening; then it will be clean.
And every thing
whereupon any part of their
carcase falleth shall be unclean; whether it be
oven, or ranges
for pots, they shall be broken down:
for they are unclean, and shall be unclean unto you.
Anything upon which one of their
carcasses falls will be unclean. If it is an
oven or
cooking pot, it must be
smashed; it is unclean and will remain unclean
for you.
And if any part of their
carcase fall upon any
sowing seed which is to be sown, it shall be clean.
But if any water be put upon the seed, and any part of their
carcase fall
thereon, it shall be unclean unto you.
but if water has been put on the seed and a
carcass falls on it, it is unclean
for you.
Do not eat any creature that moves along the ground, whether it crawls on its
belly or walks on four or more feet;
for such creatures are
detestable.
For I am the LORD that bringeth you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: ye shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.
For I am the LORD, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt so that I would be your God; therefore be holy, because I am holy.
Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a woman have conceived seed, and born a man child: then she shall be unclean seven days; according to the days of the separation
for her
infirmity shall she be unclean.
“Say to the Israelites, ‘A woman who becomes
pregnant and gives birth to a son will be unclean
for seven days, as she is during the days of her
menstruation.
And she shall then continue in the blood of her
purifying three and thirty days; she shall touch no
hallowed thing, nor come into the sanctuary, until the days of her
purifying be fulfilled.
The woman shall continue in
purification from her
bleeding for thirty-three days. She must not touch anything sacred or go into the sanctuary until the days of her
purification are complete.
But if she bear a
maid child, then she shall be unclean two weeks, as in her separation: and she shall continue in the blood of her
purifying threescore and six days.
If, however, she gives birth to a daughter, the woman will be unclean
for two weeks as she is during her
menstruation. Then she must continue in
purification from her
bleeding for sixty-six days.
And when the days of her
purifying are fulfilled,
for a son, or
for a daughter, she shall bring a lamb of the first year
for a burnt offering, and a young
pigeon, or a
turtledove,
for a sin offering, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, unto the priest:
When the days of her
purification are complete, whether
for a son or
for a daughter, she is to bring to the priest at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting a year-old lamb
for a burnt offering and a young
pigeon or a
turtledove for a sin offering.
Who shall offer it before the LORD, and make an
atonement for her; and she shall be
cleansed from the issue of her blood. This is the law
for her that hath born a male or a female.
And the priest will present them before the LORD and make
atonement for her; and she shall be
ceremonially cleansed from her flow of blood. This is the law
for a woman giving birth, whether to a male or to a female.
And if she be not able to bring a lamb, then she shall bring two turtles, or two young pigeons; the one
for the burnt offering, and the other
