Moreover if thy brother shall
trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.
If your brother sins against you, go and
confront him privately. If he listens to you, you
have won your brother over.
The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord,
have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.
Then the servant fell on his knees before him. ‘
Have patience with me,’ he
begged, ‘and I will pay back everything.’
And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and
besought him, saying,
Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.
So his fellow servant fell down and
begged him, ‘
Have patience with me, and I will pay you back.’
Shouldest not thou also
have had
compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had
pity on thee?
Shouldn’t you have had mercy on your fellow servant, just as I had on you?’
And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,
Jesus answered, “
Have you not read that from the beginning the
Creator ‘made them male and female,’
For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother’s
womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which
have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.
For there are eunuchs who were born that way; others were made that way by men; and still others live like eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. The one who can accept this should accept it.”

wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt
have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.
Jesus told him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will
have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow Me.”
Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we
have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we
have therefore?
“Look,” Peter replied, “we have left everything to follow You. What then will there be for us?”
And Jesus said unto them,
Verily I say unto you, That ye which
have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, in the
renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on His glorious throne, you who
have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
And about the
eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle?
About the
eleventh hour he went out and found still others standing around. ‘Why
have you been standing here all day long doing nothing?’ he asked.
But when the first came, they supposed that they should
have received more; and they likewise received every man a
penny.
So when the original workers came, they assumed they would receive more. But each of them also received a
denarius.
Saying, These last have wrought but one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day.
‘These men who were
hired last worked only one hour,’ they said, ‘and you
have made them equal to us who
have borne the burden and the
scorching heat of the day.’

have the right to do as I please with what is mine? Or are you
envious because I am generous?’

And there were two blind men sitting beside the road. When they heard that Jesus was passing by, they
cried out, “Lord, Son of David,
have mercy on us!”
And the multitude
rebuked them, because they should hold their peace: but they
cried the more, saying,
Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou Son of David.
The crowd
admonished them to be silent, but they
cried out all the louder, “Lord, Son of David,
have mercy on us!”
And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye
have made it a den of
thieves.

And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them,
Yea;
have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?
“Do You hear what these children are saying?” they asked. “
Yes,” Jesus answered. “
Have you never read: ‘From the mouths of children and infants You
have ordained praise’?”
Jesus answered and said unto them,
Verily I say unto you, If ye
have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.
“Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “if you have faith and do not doubt, not only will you do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen.
Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?
Jesus said to them, “

marvelous in our eyes’?
Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are
bidden, Behold, I
have prepared my
dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.
Again, he sent other servants and said, ‘Tell those who
have been invited that I
have prepared my
dinner. My oxen and
fattened cattle
have been killed, and everything is ready. Come to the
wedding banquet.’
But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying,
But concerning the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what God said to you:
But be not ye called
Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.
But you are not to be called ‘
Rabbi,’ for you
have one Teacher, and you are all brothers.
And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.
And do not call
anyone on earth your father, for you
have one Father, who is in heaven.
Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.
Nor are you to be called instructors, for you
have one
Instructor, the Christ.
Woe unto you,
scribes and
Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay
tithe of
mint and
anise and
cummin, and
have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to
have done, and not to leave the other undone.
Woe to you,
scribes and
Pharisees, you hypocrites! You pay
tithes of
mint,
dill, and
cumin. But you
have disregarded the weightier matters of the law: justice, mercy, and faithfulness. You should
have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former.
And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.
And you say, ‘If we had lived in the days of our fathers, we would not
have been partners with them in
shedding the blood of the prophets.’
O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I
have gathered thy children together, even as a
hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!
O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those sent to her, how often I
have longed to gather your children together, as a
hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were unwilling!
Behold, I have told you before.
See, I have told you in advance.
Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

But know this, that if the
goodman of the house had known in what watch the
thief would come, he would
have watched, and would not
have suffered his house to be broken up.
But understand this: If the homeowner had known in which watch of the night the
thief was coming, he would
have kept watch and would not
have let his house be broken into.
And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.
The servant who had received the five talents came and presented five more. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with five talents. See, I have gained five more.’
His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Enter into the joy of your master!’
He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.
The servant who had received the two talents also came and said, ‘Master, you entrusted me with two talents. See, I have gained two more.’
His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Enter into the joy of your master!’
Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man,
reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:
Finally, the servant who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Master, I knew that you are a hard man,
reaping where you
have not sown and gathering where you
have not scattered seed.
And I was afraid, and went and
hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.
So I was afraid and went out and
hid your talent in the ground. See, you
have what belongs to you.’
His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and
slothful servant, thou knewest that I
reap where I
sowed not, and gather where I
have not strawed:
‘You wicked,
lazy servant!’ replied his master. ‘You knew that I
reap where I
have not sown and gather where I
have not scattered seed.
Thou oughtest therefore to
have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should
have received mine own with
usury.
Then you should have deposited my money with the bankers, and on my return I would have received it back with interest.
For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.
For
everyone who has will be given more, and he will
have an abundance. But the one who does not
have, even what he has will be taken away from him.
And the King shall answer and say unto them,
Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye
have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye
have done it unto me.
And the King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of Mine, you did for Me.’
For this
ointment might
have been sold for much, and given to the poor.
This
perfume could
have been sold at a high price, and the money given to the poor.”
For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always.
The poor you will always have with you, but you will not always have Me.
Then
Judas, which
betrayed him, answered and said, Master, is it I? He said unto him, Thou hast said.

ahead of you into
Galilee.”

thief with swords and
staves for to take me? I sat daily with you teaching in the temple, and ye laid no hold on me.

Have You no answer? What are these men
testifying against You?”
Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you,
Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
“You
have said it
yourself,” Jesus answered. “But I say to all of you, from now on you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of Power and coming on the clouds of heaven.”
Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken
blasphemy; what further need
have we of witnesses? behold, now ye
have heard his
blasphemy.
At this, the high priest
tore his clothes and declared, “He has
blasphemed! Why do we need any more witnesses? Look, now you
have heard the
blasphemy.

When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.

Have nothing to do with that innocent man, for I
have suffered
terribly in a dream
today because of Him.”

He trusts in God. Let God deliver Him now if He wants Him. For He said, ‘I am the Son of God.’”
And about the ninth hour Jesus
cried with a loud voice, saying,
Eli,
Eli,
lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou
forsaken me?

Eli,
Eli, lema sabachthani?” which means, “My God, My God, why
have You
forsaken Me?”
Pilate said unto them, Ye
have a watch: go your way, make it as sure as ye can.

And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into
Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I
have told you.
Then go quickly and tell His disciples, ‘He has risen from the dead and is going
ahead of you into
Galilee. There you will see Him.’ See, I
have told you.”
Teaching them to observe all things

I
baptize you with water, but He will

And he said unto them, Let us go into the next towns, that I may
preach there also: for therefore came I forth.

neighboring towns so I can
preach there as well, for that is why I
have come.”
And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all;
insomuch that they were all
amazed, and
glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.
And immediately the man got up,
picked up his mat, and walked out in front of them all. As a result, they were all
astounded and
glorified God, saying, “We
have never seen anything like this!”
When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole
have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to

throng him.

crush Him.
And to
have power to
heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils:
and to have authority to drive out demons.
And some fell on
stony ground, where it had not much earth; and immediately it
sprang up, because it had no depth of earth:
Some fell on rocky ground, where it did not
have much soil. It
sprang up quickly because the soil was shallow.
And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they
have heard,
Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.
Some are like the seeds along the path, where the word is sown. As soon as they hear it,
Satan comes and takes away the word that was sown in them.
And these are they likewise which are sown on
stony ground; who, when they
have heard the word, immediately receive it with
gladness;
Some are like the seeds sown on rocky ground. They hear the word and at once receive it with joy.
And
have no root in themselves, and so
endure but for a time: afterward, when
affliction or persecution ariseth for the word’s sake, immediately they are
offended.
But they themselves have no root, and they remain for only a season. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away.
If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.
If
anyone has ears to hear, let him hear.”

For
whoever has will be given more. But
whoever does not
have, even what he has will be taken away from him.”

cried with a loud voice, and said, What
have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I
adjure thee by God, that thou
torment me not.
And he
shouted in a loud voice, “What do You want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I
beg You before God not to
torture me!”
For John had said unto Herod, It is not lawful for thee to have thy brother’s wife.
For John had been telling Herod, “It is not lawful for you to have your brother’s wife!”
Therefore Herodias had a quarrel against him, and would have killed him; but she could not:
So Herodias held a
grudge against John and wanted to kill him. But she had been unable,
And he said unto them, Come ye
yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.
And He said to them, “Come with Me privately to a solitary place, and let us rest for a while.” For many people were coming and going, and they did not even have time to eat.
Send them away, that they may go into the country round about, and into the villages, and
buy themselves bread: for they
have nothing to eat.
Dismiss the crowd so they can go to the surrounding
countryside and villages and
buy themselves something to eat.”
He saith unto them, How many
loaves have ye? go and see. And when they knew, they say, Five, and two fishes.
“Go and see how many
loaves you
have,” He told them. And after checking, they said, “Five—and two fish.”

And he saw them
toiling in rowing; for the wind was contrary unto them: and about the fourth watch of the night he cometh unto them, walking upon the sea, and would
have passed by them.
He could see that the disciples were straining to row, because the wind was against them. About the fourth watch of the night, Jesus went out to them, walking on the sea. He intended to pass by them,
And when they come from the market, except they wash, they eat not. And many other things there be, which they
have received to hold, as the washing of cups, and pots,
brasen vessels, and of tables.
And on returning from the market, they do not eat unless they wash. And there are many other traditions for them to observe, including the washing of cups, pitchers, kettles, and couches for
dining.
For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.
You have disregarded the commandment of God to keep the tradition of men.”
But ye say, If a man shall say to his father or mother, It is
Corban, that is to say, a gift, by
whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; he shall be free.
But you say that if a man says to his father or mother, ‘Whatever you would
have received from me is
Corban’ (that is, a gift devoted to God),
Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.
Thus you
nullify the word of God by the tradition you
have handed down. And you do so in many such matters.”
If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.
And from thence he arose, and went into the borders of Tyre and
Sidon, and entered into an house, and would
have no man know it: but he could not be

But Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it unto the dogs.

have their fill,” He said. “For it is not right to take the children’s bread and
toss it to the dogs.”
I
have compassion on the multitude, because they
have now been with me three days, and
have nothing to eat:
“I
have compassion for this crowd, because they
have already been with Me three days and
have nothing to eat.
And if I send them away fasting to their own houses, they will
faint by the way: for
divers of them came from far.
If I send them home
hungry, they will
faint along the way. For some of them
have come a great distance.”
And he asked them, How many
loaves have ye? And they said, Seven.
“How many
loaves do you
have?” Jesus asked. “Seven,” they replied.
And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have no bread.
So they began to
discuss with one another the fact that they had no bread.
And when Jesus knew it, he saith unto them, Why reason ye, because ye
have no bread? perceive ye not yet, neither understand?
have ye your heart yet
hardened?
Aware of their conversation, Jesus asked them, “Why are you
debating about having no bread? Do you still not see or understand? Do you
have such hard hearts?
But when he had turned about and looked on his disciples, he
rebuked Peter, saying, Get thee behind me,
Satan: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but the things that be of men.
But Jesus, turning and looking at His disciples,
rebuked Peter and said, “Get behind Me,
Satan! For you do not
have in mind the things of God, but the things of men.”
And he said unto them,
Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they
have seen the kingdom of God come with power.

But I say unto you, That Elias is indeed come, and they
have done unto him
whatsoever they listed, as it is written of him.
But I tell you that
Elijah has indeed come, and they
have done to him whatever they wished, just as it is written about him.”
And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I
have brought unto thee my son, which hath a
dumb spirit;
Someone in the crowd replied, “Teacher, I brought You my son, who has a spirit that makes him
mute.
