And Jesus saith unto
him, I will come and
heal him.
“I will go and
heal him,” Jesus replied.
When Jesus heard it, he
marvelled, and said to them that followed,
Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
When Jesus heard this, He
marveled and said to those following
Him, “Truly I tell you, I have not found

healed all the sick.

Himself took our
infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.

And another of his disciples said unto
him, Lord, suffer me first to go and
bury my father.
Another of His disciples requested, “Lord, first let me go and
bury my father.”

But Jesus told
him, “Follow Me, and let the dead
bury their own dead.”
And when he was entered into a ship, his disciples followed him.

But the men
marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey
him!
The men were

Him!”

him, and Matthew got up and followed
Him.
And it came to pass, as Jesus sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples.

dining at Matthew’s house, many tax collectors and sinners came and
ate with
Him and His disciples.
Then came to
him the disciples of John, saying, Why do we and the
Pharisees fast
oft, but thy disciples fast not?
At that time John’s disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Why is it that we and the
Pharisees fast so often, but Your disciples do not fast?”
While he spake these things unto them, behold, there came a certain ruler, and worshipped him, saying, My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay thy hand upon her, and she shall live.
While Jesus was saying these things, a
synagogue leader came and
knelt before
Him. “My daughter has just died,” he said. “But come and place Your hand on her, and she will live.”

him, and touched the
hem of his garment:
Suddenly a woman who had suffered from
bleeding for twelve years came up behind
Him and touched the
fringe of His
cloak.
But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.
Jesus turned and saw her. “Take courage, daughter,” He said, “your faith has
healed you.” And the woman was cured from that very hour.
He said unto them, Give place: for the
maid is not dead, but sleepeth. And they

girl is not dead, but
asleep.” And they

Him.

him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto
him,

Him. “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” He asked. “
Yes, Lord,” they answered.
But they, when they were departed, spread abroad his fame in all that country.

And when he had called unto
him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to

And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear
him which is able to destroy both soul and body in
hell.
Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Instead, fear the One who can destroy both soul and body in
hell.
Therefore
everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also
confess him before My Father in heaven.
But
whosoever shall deny me before men,
him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.
But
whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny
him before My Father in heaven.
He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.
He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives the One who sent Me.
And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another?
to ask Him, “Are You the One who was to come, or should we look for someone else?”
He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
He who has ears, let him hear.
All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to
whomsoever the Son will
reveal him.
All things have been entrusted to Me by My Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to
reveal Him.
But when the
Pharisees saw it, they said unto
him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day.
When the
Pharisees saw this, they said to
Him, “Look, Your disciples are doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath.”
But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was an
hungred, and they that were with
him;
Jesus replied, “Have you not read what David did when he and his companions were
hungry?
How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the
shewbread, which was not lawful for
him to eat, neither for them which were with
him, but only for the priests?
He entered the house of God, and he and his companions
ate the consecrated bread, which was not lawful for them to eat, but only for the priests.
And, behold, there was a man which had his hand
withered. And they asked
him, saying, Is it lawful to
heal on the sabbath days? that they might
accuse him.
and a man with a
withered hand was there. In order to
accuse Jesus, they asked
Him, “Is it lawful to
heal on the Sabbath?”
Then the
Pharisees went out, and held a council against
him, how they might destroy
him.
But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew
himself from thence: and great multitudes followed
him, and he
healed them all;
Aware of this, Jesus withdrew from that place. Large crowds followed
Him, and He
healed them all,
And charged them that they should not make him known:
warning them not to make
Him known.
Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon
him, and he shall
shew judgment to the Gentiles.
“Here is My Servant, whom I have chosen, My beloved, in whom My soul delights. I will put My Spirit on
Him, and He will
proclaim justice to the nations.
Then was brought unto
him one possessed with a devil, blind, and
dumb: and he
healed him,
insomuch that the blind and
dumb both spake and saw.
Then a
demon-possessed man who was blind and
mute was brought to Jesus, and He
healed the man so that he could speak and see.
And if
Satan cast out
Satan, he is divided against
himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?
If
Satan drives out
Satan, he is divided against
himself. How then can his kingdom stand?
And
whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be
forgiven him: but
whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be
forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.
Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be
forgiven, but
whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be
forgiven, either in this age or in the one to come.
Then certain of the
scribes and of the
Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee.
Then some of the
scribes and
Pharisees said to
Him, “Teacher, we want to see a sign from You.”
Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.
Then it goes and brings with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and dwell there; and the final
plight of that man is worse than the first. So will it be with this wicked generation.”
While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him.
While Jesus was still speaking to the crowds, His mother and brothers stood outside, wanting to speak to Him.
Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee.
Someone told Him, “Look, Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to You.”
But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?
But Jesus replied, “Who is My mother, and who are My brothers?”
And great multitudes were gathered together unto him, so that he went into a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore.

He who has ears, let him hear.”

For
whosoever hath, to
him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but
whosoever hath not, from
him shall be taken away even that he hath.
Whoever has will be given more, and he will have an abundance.
Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from
him.
Yet hath he not root in
himself, but dureth for a while: for when
tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is
offended.
But since he has no root, he remains for only a season. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, he quickly falls away.
So the servants of the householder came and said unto
him, Sir,
didst not thou
sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?
The owner’s servants came to
him and said, ‘Sir, didn’t you
sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?’
He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto
him,
Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?
‘An enemy did this,’ he replied. So the servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and pull them up?’
Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.
Then Jesus dismissed the crowds and went into the house. His disciples came to Him and said, “Explain to us the parable of the weeds in the field.”

shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let
him hear.

shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let
him hear.
Jesus saith unto them, Have ye understood all these things? They say unto
him,
Yea, Lord.
Have you understood all these things?” “
Yes,” they answered.
And they were
offended in
him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house.
And they took
offense at
Him. But Jesus said to them, “Only in his hometown and in his own household is a prophet without honor.”
And said unto his servants, This is John the Baptist; he is risen from the dead; and therefore mighty works do
shew forth themselves in

him.”

him at meat, he commanded it to be given her.

When Jesus heard of it, he departed thence by ship into a desert place apart: and when the people had heard thereof, they followed him on foot out of the cities.
When Jesus heard about John, He withdrew by boat privately to a solitary place. But the crowds found out about it and followed Him on foot from the towns.
And when it was evening, his disciples came to
him, saying, This is a desert place, and the time is now past; send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages, and
buy themselves
victuals.
When evening came, the disciples came to
Him and said, “This is a
desolate place, and the hour is already late. Dismiss the crowds so they can go to the villages and
buy themselves some food.”
And they say unto
him, We have here but five
loaves, and two fishes.
“We have here only five
loaves of bread and two fish,” they answered.
And
straightway Jesus
constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before
him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away.
Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on
ahead of
Him to the other side, while He dismissed the crowds.
And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.
After He had sent them away, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray. When evening came, He was there alone,
And when the disciples saw
him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they

cried out in fear.
And Peter answered
him and said, Lord, if it be thou,
bid me come unto thee on the water.
“Lord, if it is You,” Peter replied, “command me to come to You on the water.”
And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught
him, and said unto
him, O thou of little faith, wherefore
didst thou doubt?
Immediately Jesus reached out His hand and took hold of Peter. “You of little faith,” He said, “why did you doubt?”
Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.
Then those who were in the boat worshiped Him, saying, “Truly You are the Son of God!”
And when the men of that place had knowledge of him, they sent out into all that country round about, and brought unto him all that were diseased;
And when the men of that place recognized Jesus, they sent word to all the surrounding region. People brought all the sick to Him

besought him that they might only touch the
hem of his garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole.

For God said, ‘Honor your father and mother’ and ‘
Anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death.’
And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand:
Jesus called the crowd to
Him and said, “
Listen and understand.
Then came his disciples, and said unto
him, Knowest thou that the
Pharisees were
offended, after they heard this saying?
Then the disciples came to
Him and said, “Are You aware that the
Pharisees were
offended when they heard this?”
Then answered Peter and said unto him, Declare unto us this parable.
Peter said to Him, “Explain this parable to us.”
These are the things which
defile a man: but to eat with
unwashen hands defileth not a man.
These are what
defile a man, but eating with unwashed hands does not
defile him.”
And, behold, a woman of
Canaan came out of the same coasts, and
cried unto
him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is
grievously vexed with a devil.
And a
Canaanite woman from that region came to
Him, crying out, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is
miserably possessed by a
demon.”
But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and
besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.
But Jesus did not answer a word. So His disciples came and urged Him, “Send her away, for she keeps crying out after us.”
Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
The woman came and
knelt before
Him. “Lord, help me!” she said.
And great multitudes came unto
him, having with them those that were
lame, blind,
dumb,
maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus’ feet; and he
healed them:
Large crowds came to
Him, bringing the
lame, the blind, the
crippled, the
mute, and many others, and laid them at His feet, and He
healed them.
Then Jesus called his disciples unto
him, and said, I have
compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat: and I will not send them away fasting, lest they
faint in the way.
Then Jesus called His disciples to
Him and said, “I have
compassion for this crowd, because they have already been with Me three days and have nothing to eat. I do not want to send them away
hungry, or they may
faint along the way.”
And his disciples say unto him, Whence should we have so much bread in the wilderness, as to fill so great a multitude?
The disciples replied, “Where in this
desolate place could we find enough bread to feed such a large crowd?”
Then the
Pharisees and
Sadducees came and tested Jesus by asking
Him to show them a sign from heaven.
And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of
Jonah! For this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by My Father in heaven.
Then Peter took
him, and began to
rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee.
Peter took
Him aside and began to
rebuke Him. “Far be it from You, Lord!” he said. “This shall never happen to You!”
Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
Then Jesus told His disciples, “If
anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny
himself and take up his cross and follow Me.

And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.
Suddenly Moses and
Elijah appeared before them, talking with Jesus.
While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.
While Peter was still speaking, a bright cloud
enveloped them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
Listen to
Him!”
And his disciples asked
him, saying, Why then say the
scribes that Elias must first come?
The disciples asked
Him, “Why then do the
scribes say that
Elijah must come first?”
