Berean Standard Bible BSB Bible
Then I
commended mirth, because a man hath no better thing under the sun, than to eat, and to drink, and to be
merry: for that shall
abide with him of his labour the days of his life, which God giveth him under the sun.
So I
commended the enjoyment of life, because there is
nothing better for a man under the sun than to eat and drink and be
merry. For this joy will
accompany him in his labor during the days of his life that God gives him under the sun.
When I applied mine heart to know wisdom, and to see the business that is done upon the earth: (for also there is that neither day nor night
seeth sleep with his eyes:)
When I applied my mind to know wisdom and to observe the task that one performs on the earth—though his eyes do not see sleep in the day or even in the night—
Then I
beheld all the work of God, that a man cannot find out the work that is done under the sun: because though a man labour to seek it out, yet he shall
not find it;
yea further; though a wise man think to know it, yet shall he
not be able to find it.
I saw every work of God, and that a man is unable to
comprehend the work that is done under the sun.
Despite his efforts to search it out, he cannot find its meaning; even if the wise man claims to know, he is unable to
comprehend.
For all this I considered in my heart even to declare all this, that the righteous, and the wise, and their works, are in the hand of God: no man knoweth either love or hatred by all that is before them.
So I took all this to heart and concluded that the righteous and the wise, as well as their deeds, are in God’s hands. Man does
not know what lies
ahead, whether love or
hate.
All things come alike to all: there is one event to the righteous, and to the wicked; to the good and to the clean, and to the unclean; to him that sacrificeth, and to him that sacrificeth
not: as is the good, so is the
sinner; and he that sweareth, as he that feareth an oath.
It is the same for all: There is a common fate for the righteous and the wicked, for the good and the bad, for the clean and the unclean, for the one who sacrifices and the one who does
not. As it is for the good, so it is for the
sinner; as it is for the one who makes a
vow, so it is for the one who refuses to take a
vow.
For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.
For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing. They have no further reward, because the memory of them is forgotten.
I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.
I saw something else under the sun: The race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong; neither is the bread to the wise, nor the wealth to the intelligent, nor the favor to the skillful. For time and chance happen to all.
For man also knoweth
not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the
snare; so are the sons of men
snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them.
For surely no man knows his time: Like fish caught in a cruel net or birds
trapped in a
snare, so men are ensnared in an evil time that suddenly falls upon them.
Then said I, Wisdom is better than strength: nevertheless the poor man’s wisdom is
despised, and his words are
not heard.
And I said, “Wisdom is better than strength, but the wisdom of the poor man is
despised, and his words are
not heeded.”
If the spirit of the ruler rise up against thee, leave not thy place; for yielding pacifieth great offences.
If the ruler’s temper flares against you, do
not abandon your post, for calmness lays great offenses to rest.
If the iron be
blunt, and he do
not whet the edge, then must he put to more strength: but wisdom is profitable to direct.
If the
axe is dull and the
blade unsharpened, more strength must be exerted, but skill produces success.
The labour of the
foolish wearieth every one of them, because he knoweth
not how to go to the city.
The
toil of a
fool wearies him, for he does
not know the way to the city.
Blessed art thou, O land, when thy king is the son of nobles, and thy princes eat in due season, for strength, and
not for
drunkenness!
Blessed are you, O land whose king is a son of nobles, and whose princes feast at the proper time— for strength and
not for
drunkenness.
Curse not the king, no
not in thy thought; and
curse not the rich in thy
bedchamber: for a bird of the air shall carry the voice, and that which hath wings shall tell the matter.
Do
not curse the king even in your thoughts, or
curse the rich even in your
bedroom, for a bird of the air may carry your words, and a winged creature may report your speech.
Give a portion to seven, and also to eight; for thou knowest not what evil shall be upon the earth.
Divide your portion among seven, or even eight, for you do
not know what
disaster may
befall the land.
He that observeth the wind shall
not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall
not reap.
He who watches the wind will fail to
sow, and he who observes the clouds will fail to
reap.
As thou knowest
not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the
womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest
not the works of God who maketh all.
As you do
not know the path of the wind, or how the bones are formed in a mother’s
womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things.
In the morning
sow thy seed, and in the evening
withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest
not whether shall
prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good.
Sow your seed in the morning, and do
not rest your hands in the evening, for you do
not know which will succeed, whether this or that, or if both will equally
prosper.
Remember now thy
Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come
not, nor the years draw
nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;
Remember your
Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of
adversity come and the years approach of which you will say, “I find no pleasure in them,”
While the sun, or the light, or the moon, or the stars, be
not darkened, nor the clouds return after the rain:
before the light of the sun, moon, and stars is
darkened, and the clouds return after the rain,
And moreover, because the preacher was wise, he still taught the people knowledge;
yea, he gave good
heed, and sought out, and set in order many
proverbs.
Not only was the Teacher wise, but he also taught the people knowledge; he
pondered, searched out, and arranged many
proverbs.
Look
not upon me, because I am black, because the sun hath looked upon me: my mother’s children were
angry with me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards; but mine own
vineyard have I
not kept.
Do
not stare because I am dark, for the sun has
gazed upon me. My mother’s sons were
angry with me; they made me a keeper of the vineyards, but my own
vineyard I have neglected.
If thou know
not, O thou fairest among women, go thy way forth by the footsteps of the flock, and feed thy kids beside the
shepherds’ tents.
If you do
not know, O fairest of women, follow the tracks of the flock, and
graze your young goats near the tents of the
shepherds.
I charge you, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, by the roes, and by the hinds of the field, that ye
stir not up, nor
awake my love, till he please.
O daughters of Jerusalem, I
adjure you by the gazelles and does of the field: Do
not arouse or
awaken love until the time is right.
By night on my bed I sought him whom my soul loveth: I sought him, but I found him not.
On my bed at night I sought the one I love; I sought him, but did not find him.
I will rise now, and go about the city in the streets, and in the broad ways I will seek him whom my soul loveth: I sought him, but I found him not.
I will arise now and go about the city, through the streets and squares. I will seek the one I love. So I sought him but did not find him.
It was but a little that I passed from them, but I found him whom my soul loveth: I held him, and would not let him go, until I had brought him into my mother’s house, and into the chamber of her that conceived me.
I had just passed them when I found the one I love. I held him and would not let go until I had brought him to my mother’s house, to the chamber of the one who conceived me.
Thy teeth are like a flock of sheep that are even
shorn, which came up from the washing;
whereof every one bear twins, and none is barren among them.
Your teeth are like a flock of newly
shorn sheep coming up from the washing; each has its
twin, and
not one of them is lost.
I opened to my beloved; but my beloved had withdrawn himself, and was gone: my soul failed when he spake: I sought him, but I could not find him; I called him, but he gave me no answer.
I opened for my beloved, but he had turned and gone. My heart
sank at his departure. I sought him, but did
not find him. I called, but he did
not answer.
Thy teeth are as a flock of sheep which go up from the washing,
whereof every one beareth twins, and there is
not one barren among them.
Your teeth are like a flock of sheep coming up from the washing; each has its
twin, and
not one of them is lost.
O that thou
wert as my brother, that
sucked the breasts of my mother! when I should find thee without, I would
kiss thee;
yea, I should
not be
despised.
O that you were to me like a brother who
nursed at my mother’s breasts! If I found you outdoors, I would
kiss you, and no one would
despise me.
I charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem, that ye
stir not up, nor
awake my love, until he please.
O daughters of Jerusalem, I
adjure you: Do
not arouse or
awaken love until the time is right.
We have a little sister, and she hath no breasts: what shall we do for our sister in the day when she shall be spoken for?
We have a little sister, and her breasts are not yet grown. What shall we do for our sister on the day she is spoken for?
The ox knoweth his owner, and the
ass his master’s
crib: but Israel
doth not know, my people
doth not consider.
The ox knows its owner, and the
donkey its master’s
manger, but Israel does
not know; My people do
not understand.”
From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it; but wounds, and bruises, and putrifying sores: they have
not been closed, neither bound up, neither
mollified with
ointment.
From the sole of your foot to the top of your head, there is no soundness— only wounds and welts and
festering sores neither
cleansed nor
bandaged nor
soothed with oil.
To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.
“What good to Me is your multitude of sacrifices?” says the LORD. “I am full from the burnt offerings of rams and the fat of well-fed cattle; I take no delight in the blood of bulls and lambs and goats.
And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you:
yea, when ye make many prayers, I will
not hear: your hands are full of blood.
When you spread out your hands in prayer, I will hide My eyes from you; even though you multiply your prayers, I will
not listen. Your hands are covered with blood.
Thy princes are
rebellious, and companions of
thieves: every one loveth gifts, and followeth after rewards: they judge
not the fatherless, neither
doth the cause of the widow come unto them.
Your rulers are rebels, friends of
thieves. They all love bribes and
chasing after rewards. They do
not defend the fatherless, and the
plea of the widow never comes before them.
And he shall judge among the nations, and shall
rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall
not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
Then He will judge between the nations and
arbitrate for many peoples. They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into
pruning hooks. Nation will no longer take up the sword against nation, nor train anymore for war.
And the mean man boweth down, and the great man humbleth himself: therefore
forgive them
not.
So mankind is brought low, and man is humbled— do
not forgive them!
In that day shall he
swear, saying, I will
not be an
healer; for in my house is neither bread nor clothing: make me
not a ruler of the people.
On that day he will cry
aloud: “I am
not a
healer. I have no food or clothing in my house. Do
not make me leader of the people!”
The
shew of their countenance
doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as
Sodom, they hide it
not.
Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves.
The expression on their faces testifies against them, and like
Sodom they
flaunt their sin; they do
not conceal it.
Woe to them, for they have brought
disaster upon themselves.
What could have been done more to my
vineyard, that I have
not done in it? wherefore, when I looked that it should bring forth grapes, brought it forth wild grapes?
What more could I have done for My
vineyard than I already did for it? Why, when I expected sweet grapes, did it bring forth
sour fruit?
And I will lay it waste: it shall
not be
pruned, nor
digged; but there shall come up briers and thorns: I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain upon it.
I will make it a wasteland, neither
pruned nor cultivated, and thorns and briers will grow up. I will command the clouds that rain shall
not fall on it.”
And the
harp, and the
viol, the
tabret, and pipe, and wine, are in their feasts: but they regard
not the work of the LORD, neither consider the operation of his hands.
At their feasts are the
lyre and
harp, tambourines and flutes and wine. They disregard the actions of the LORD and fail to see the work of His hands.
Therefore is the anger of the LORD
kindled against his people, and he hath stretched forth his hand against them, and hath
smitten them: and the hills did
tremble, and their carcases were
torn in the midst of the streets. For all this his anger is
not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
Therefore the anger of the LORD burns against His people; His hand is raised against them to strike them down. The mountains
quake, and the corpses lay like refuse in the streets.
Despite all this, His anger is
not turned away; His hand is still upraised.
And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.
And He replied: “Go and tell this people, ‘Be ever hearing, but never understanding; be ever seeing, but never perceiving.’
And it came to pass in the days of
Ahaz the son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, king of Judah, that Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah, king of Israel, went up toward Jerusalem to war against it, but could
not prevail against it.
Now in the days that
Ahaz son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, was king of Judah, Rezin king of
Aram marched up to
wage war against Jerusalem. He was accompanied by Pekah son of Remaliah the king of Israel, but he could
not overpower the city.
And say unto him, Take
heed, and be quiet; fear
not, neither be
fainthearted for the two tails of these smoking firebrands, for the fierce anger of Rezin with Syria, and of the son of Remaliah.
and say to him: Calm down and be quiet. Do
not be afraid or
disheartened over these two
smoldering stubs of
firewood—over the fierce anger of Rezin and
Aram and of the son of Remaliah.
Thus saith the Lord GOD, It shall not stand, neither shall it come to pass.
But this is what the Lord GOD says: ‘It will not arise; it will not happen.
For the head of Syria is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is Rezin; and within
threescore and five years shall Ephraim be broken, that it be
not a people.
For the head of
Aram is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is Rezin. Within sixty-five years Ephraim will be
shattered as a people.
And the head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is Remaliah’s son. If ye will not believe, surely ye shall not be established.
The head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is the son of Remaliah. If you do not stand firm in your faith, then you will not stand at all.’”
But
Ahaz said, I will
not ask, neither will I
tempt the LORD.
But
Ahaz replied, “I will
not ask; I will
not test the LORD.”
And he said, Hear ye now, O house of David; Is it a small thing for you to
weary men, but will ye
weary my God also?
Then Isaiah said, “Hear now, O house of David! Is it
not enough to try the
patience of men? Will you try the
patience of my God as well?
The LORD shall bring upon thee, and upon thy people, and upon thy father’s house, days that have not come, from the day that Ephraim departed from Judah; even the king of Assyria.
The LORD will bring on you and on your people and on the house of your father a time unlike any since the day Ephraim separated from Judah—He will bring the king of Assyria.”
And on all hills that shall be
digged with the
mattock, there shall
not come thither the fear of briers and thorns: but it shall be for the sending forth of oxen, and for the
treading of lesser cattle.
For fear of the briers and thorns, you will no longer
traverse the hills once tilled by the
hoe; they will become places for oxen to
graze and sheep to
trample.
Take counsel together, and it shall come to
nought; speak the word, and it shall
not stand: for God is with us.
Devise a plan, but it will be
thwarted; state a proposal, but it will
not happen. For God is with us.”
For the LORD spake thus to me with a strong hand, and
instructed me that I should
not walk in the way of this people, saying,
For this is what the LORD has spoken to me with a strong hand,
instructing me
not to walk in the way of this people:
Say ye
not, A
confederacy, to all them to whom this people shall say, A
confederacy; neither fear ye their fear, nor be afraid.
And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that
peep, and that
mutter: should
not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead?
When men tell you to
consult the spirits of the dead and the spiritists who
whisper and
mutter, shouldn’t a people
consult their God instead? Why
consult the dead on behalf of the living?
To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.
To the law and to the testimony! If they do
not speak according to this word, they have no light of
dawn.
Nevertheless, there will be no more
gloom for those in distress. In the past He humbled the land of
Zebulun and the land of
Naphtali, but in the future He will honor the Way of the Sea, beyond the Jordan,
Galilee of the nations:
Thou hast multiplied the nation, and
not increased the joy: they joy before thee according to the joy in harvest, and as men
rejoice when they divide the
spoil.
You have enlarged the nation and increased its joy. The people
rejoice before You as they
rejoice at harvest time, as men
rejoice in dividing the
plunder.
The Syrians before, and the Philistines behind; and they shall
devour Israel with open mouth. For all this his anger is
not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
Aram from the east and Philistia from the west have
devoured Israel with open mouths.
Despite all this, His anger is
not turned away; His hand is still upraised.
For the people turneth not unto him that smiteth them, neither do they seek the LORD of hosts.
But the people did not return to Him who struck them; they did not seek the LORD of Hosts.
Therefore the Lord shall have no joy in their young men, neither shall have mercy on their fatherless and widows: for every one is an
hypocrite and an
evildoer, and every mouth speaketh folly. For all this his anger is
not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
Therefore the Lord takes no pleasure in their young men; He has no
compassion on their fatherless and widows. For every one of them is godless and wicked, and every mouth speaks folly.
Despite all this, His anger is
not turned away; His hand is still upraised.
And he shall
snatch on the right hand, and be
hungry; and he shall eat on the left hand, and they shall
not be satisfied: they shall eat every man the flesh of his own arm:
They
carve out what is on the right, but they are still
hungry; they eat what is on the left, but they are still
not satisfied. Each one devours the flesh of his own offspring.
Manasseh, Ephraim; and Ephraim,
Manasseh: and they together shall be against Judah. For all this his anger is
not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
Manasseh devours Ephraim, and Ephraim
Manasseh; together they turn against Judah.
Despite all this, His anger is
not turned away; His hand is still upraised.
Without me they shall bow down under the prisoners, and they shall fall under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
Nothing will remain but to
crouch among the
captives or fall among the slain.
Despite all this, His anger is
not turned away; His hand is still upraised.
Howbeit he meaneth
not so, neither
doth his heart think so; but it is in his heart to destroy and cut off nations
not a few.
But this is not his intention; this is not his plan. For it is in his heart to destroy and cut off many nations.
For he saith, Are not my princes altogether kings?
“Are not all my commanders kings?” he says.
Is
not Calno as Carchemish? is
not Hamath as Arpad? is
not Samaria as Damascus?
“Is
not Calno like Carchemish? Is
not Hamath like Arpad? Is
not Samaria like Damascus?
Shall I not, as I have done unto Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols?
and as I have done to Samaria and its idols, will I not also do to Jerusalem and her idols?”
Shall the
axe boast itself against him that heweth
therewith? or shall the saw
magnify itself against him that shaketh it? as if the rod should
shake itself against them that lift it up, or as if the staff should lift up itself, as if it were no wood.
Does an
axe raise itself above the one who swings it? Does a saw
boast over him who saws with it? It would be like a rod waving the one who lifts it, or a staff lifting him who is
not wood!
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD of hosts, O my people that dwellest in
Zion, be
not afraid of the Assyrian: he shall
smite thee with a rod, and shall lift up his staff against thee, after the manner of Egypt.
Therefore this is what the Lord GOD of Hosts says: “O My people who dwell in
Zion, do
not fear Assyria, who strikes you with a rod and lifts his staff against you as the Egyptians did.
And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:
And He will delight in the fear of the LORD. He will not judge by what His eyes see, and He will not decide by what His ears hear,
They shall
not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.
They will neither
harm nor destroy on all My holy mountain, for the earth will be full of the knowledge of the LORD as the sea is full of water.
The
envy also of Ephraim shall depart, and the
adversaries of Judah shall be cut off: Ephraim shall
not envy Judah, and Judah shall
not vex Ephraim.
Then the jealousy of Ephraim will depart, and the
adversaries of Judah will be cut off. Ephraim will no longer
envy Judah, nor will Judah
harass Ephraim.
Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.
Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. For the LORD GOD is my strength and my song, and He also has become my salvation.”
For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall
not give their light: the sun shall be
darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall
not cause her light to
shine.
For the stars of heaven and their constellations will
not give their light. The rising sun will be
darkened, and the moon will
not give its light.
Behold, I will
stir up the Medes against them, which shall
not regard silver; and as for gold, they shall
not delight in it.
Behold, I will
stir up against them the Medes, who have no regard for silver and no desire for gold.
Their bows also shall
dash the young men to pieces; and they shall have no
pity on the fruit of the
womb; their eye shall
not spare children.
Their bows will
dash young men to pieces; they will have no mercy on the fruit of the
womb; they will
not look with
pity on the children.
And the wild beasts of the islands shall cry in their
desolate houses, and
dragons in their pleasant palaces: and her time is near to come, and her days shall
not be prolonged.
Hyenas will
howl in her fortresses and jackals in her
luxurious palaces. Babylon’s time is at hand, and her days will
not be prolonged.
That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?
who turned the world into a desert and destroyed its cities, who refused to let the
captives return to their homes?”
Thou shalt
not be joined with them in burial, because thou hast destroyed thy land, and slain thy people: the seed of evildoers shall never be
renowned.
You will not join them in burial, since you have destroyed your land and slaughtered your own people. The offspring of the wicked will never again be mentioned.
Prepare slaughter for his children for the iniquity of their fathers; that they do not rise, nor possess the land, nor fill the face of the world with cities.
Prepare a place to slaughter his sons for the
iniquities of their forefathers. They will never rise up to possess a land or cover the earth with their cities.
Rejoice not thou, whole Palestina, because the rod of him that
smote thee is broken: for out of the serpent’s root shall come forth a
cockatrice, and his fruit shall be a
fiery flying serpent.
Do
not rejoice, all you Philistines, that the rod that struck you is broken. For a
viper will spring from the root of the
snake, and a flying serpent from its egg.
Take counsel,
execute judgment; make thy shadow as the night in the midst of the
noonday; hide the outcasts;
bewray not him that wandereth.
“Give us counsel; render a decision. Shelter us at
noonday with shade as dark as night. Hide the refugees; do
not betray the one who flees.
We have heard of the pride of Moab; he is very proud: even of his
haughtiness, and his pride, and his wrath: but his lies shall
not be so.
And it shall come to pass, when it is seen that Moab is
weary on the high place, that he shall come to his sanctuary to pray; but he shall
not prevail.
When Moab appears on the high place, when he wearies himself and enters his sanctuary to pray, it will do him no good.
And he shall not look to the altars, the work of his hands, neither shall respect that which his fingers have made, either the groves, or the images.
They will not look to the altars they have fashioned with their hands or to the Asherahs and incense altars they have made with their fingers.
Because thou hast forgotten the God of thy salvation, and hast not been mindful of the rock of thy strength, therefore shalt thou plant pleasant plants, and shalt set it with strange slips:
For you have forgotten the God of your salvation and failed to remember the Rock of your refuge. Therefore, though you
cultivate delightful plots and set out cuttings from
exotic vines—
And behold at eveningtide trouble; and before the morning he is
not. This is the portion of them that
spoil us, and the lot of them that
rob us.
In the evening, there is sudden terror! Before morning, they are no more! This is the portion of those who
loot us and the lot of those who
plunder us.
Neither shall there be any work for Egypt, which the head or tail, branch or
rush, may do.
There is nothing Egypt can do— head or tail, palm or reed.
Thou that art full of stirs, a
tumultuous city, a
joyous city: thy slain men are
not slain with the sword, nor dead in battle.
O city of
commotion, O town of
revelry? Your slain did
not die by the sword, nor were they killed in battle.
Therefore said I, Look away from me; I will
weep bitterly, labour
not to comfort me, because of the
spoiling of the daughter of my people.
Therefore I said, “Turn away from me, let me
weep bitterly! Do
not try to
console me over the destruction of the daughter of my people.”
Ye made also a
ditch between the two walls for the water of the old
pool: but ye have
not looked unto the maker thereof, neither had respect unto him that fashioned it long ago.
You built a
reservoir between the walls for the waters of the ancient
pool, but you did
not look to the One who made it, or consider Him who
planned it long ago.
And it was revealed in mine ears by the LORD of hosts, Surely this iniquity shall
not be
purged from you till ye die, saith the Lord GOD of hosts.
The LORD of Hosts has revealed in my hearing: “Until your dying day, this sin of yours will never be
atoned for,” says the Lord GOD of Hosts.
