And changed his prison garments: and he did continually eat bread before him all the days of his life.
So
Jehoiachin changed out of his prison clothes, and he
dined regularly at the king’s
table for the rest of his life.
He hath bent his bow like an enemy: he stood with his right hand as an
adversary, and
slew all that were pleasant to the eye in the
tabernacle of the daughter of
Zion: he poured out his
fury like fire.
He has bent His bow like an enemy; His right hand is positioned. Like a
foe He has killed all who were pleasing to the eye; He has poured out His wrath like fire on the tent of the Daughter of
Zion.
And he hath violently taken away his
tabernacle, as if it were of a garden: he hath destroyed his places of the assembly: the LORD hath caused the solemn feasts and sabbaths to be forgotten in
Zion, and hath
despised in the
indignation of his anger the king and the priest.
He has laid waste His
tabernacle like a garden
booth; He has destroyed His place of meeting. The LORD has made
Zion forget her appointed feasts and Sabbaths. In His fierce anger He has
despised both king and priest.
And satest upon a stately bed, and a
table prepared before it,
whereupon thou hast set mine incense and mine oil.
You sat on a
couch of
luxury with a
table spread before it, on which you had set My incense and My oil,
Thou hast been in
Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the
sardius,
topaz, and the
diamond, the
beryl, the
onyx, and the
jasper, the
sapphire, the
emerald, and the
carbuncle, and gold: the
workmanship of thy
tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou
wast created.
You were in
Eden, the garden of God. Every kind of precious stone adorned you:
ruby,
topaz, and
diamond,
beryl,
onyx, and
jasper,
sapphire,
turquoise, and
emerald. Your mountings and settings were crafted in gold, prepared on the day of your creation.
My
tabernacle also shall be with them:
yea, I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
My dwelling place will be with them; I will be their God, and they will be My people.
Thus ye shall be filled at my
table with horses and
chariots, with mighty men, and with all men of war, saith the Lord GOD.
And at My table you will eat your fill of horses and riders, of mighty men and warriors of every kind,’ declares the Lord GOD.
And in the
porch of the gate were two
tables on this side, and two
tables on that side, to
slay thereon the burnt offering and the sin offering and the
trespass offering.
Inside the
portico of the
gateway were two
tables on each side, on which the burnt offerings, sin offerings, and guilt offerings were to be slaughtered.
And at the side without, as one goeth up to the entry of the north gate, were two
tables; and on the other side, which was at the
porch of the gate, were two
tables.
Outside, as one goes up to the entrance of the north
gateway, there were two
tables on one side and two more
tables on the other side of the gate’s
portico.
Four
tables were on this side, and four
tables on that side, by the side of the gate; eight
tables,
whereupon they
slew their sacrifices.
So there were four
tables inside the
gateway and four outside—eight
tables in all—on which the sacrifices were to be slaughtered.
And the four
tables were of
hewn stone for the burnt offering, of a
cubit and an half long, and a
cubit and an half broad, and one
cubit high:
whereupon also they laid the instruments
wherewith they
slew the burnt offering and the sacrifice.
There were also four
tables of dressed stone for the burnt offering, each a
cubit and a half long, a
cubit and a half wide, and a
cubit high. On these were placed the utensils used to slaughter the burnt offerings and the other sacrifices.
And within were hooks, an hand broad, fastened round about: and upon the tables was the flesh of the offering.
The double-
pronged hooks, each a
handbreadth long, were fastened all around the inside of the room, and the flesh of the offering was to be placed on the
tables.
Afterward he brought me to the temple, and measured the posts, six cubits broad on the one side, and six cubits broad on the other side, which was the breadth of the tabernacle.

The altar of wood was three cubits high, and the length thereof two cubits; and the corners thereof, and the length thereof, and the walls thereof, were of wood: and he said unto me, This is the table that is before the LORD.

They shall enter into my sanctuary, and they shall come near to my table, to minister unto me, and they shall keep my charge.
They alone shall enter My sanctuary and draw near to My table to minister before Me. They will keep My charge.
And both these kings’ hearts shall be to do mischief, and they shall speak lies at one
table; but it shall not
prosper: for yet the end shall be at the time appointed.
And the two kings, with their hearts bent on evil, will speak lies at the same
table, but to no
avail, for still the end will come at the appointed time.
And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.
He will pitch his royal tents between the sea and the beautiful holy mountain, but he will meet his end with no one to help him.
Hear ye this, O priests; and
hearken, ye house of Israel; and give ye ear, O house of the king; for judgment is toward you, because ye have been a
snare on
Mizpah, and a net spread upon
Tabor.
“Hear this, O priests! Take
heed, O house of Israel! Give ear, O royal house! For this judgment is against you because you have been a
snare at
Mizpah, a net spread out on
Tabor.
For, lo, they are gone because of destruction: Egypt shall gather them up,
Memphis shall
bury them: the pleasant places for their silver,
nettles shall possess them: thorns shall be in their
tabernacles.
For even if they
flee destruction, Egypt will gather them and
Memphis will
bury them. Their precious silver will be taken over by thistles, and thorns will overrun their tents.
And I that am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt will yet make thee to dwell in tabernacles, as in the days of the solemn feast.
But I am the LORD your God ever since the land of Egypt. I will again make you dwell in tents, as in the days of the appointed feast.
But ye have borne the
tabernacle of your
Moloch and Chiun your images, the star of your god, which ye made to
yourselves.
You have taken along Sakkuth your king and Kaiwan your star god, the idols you made for
yourselves.
In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old:
“In that day I will restore the fallen tent of David. I will repair its gaps, restore its ruins, and rebuild it as in the days of old,
And Huzzab shall be led away
captive, she shall be brought up, and her maids shall lead her as with the voice of doves,
tabering upon their breasts.
It is decreed that the city be exiled and carried away; her maidservants
moan like doves, and beat upon their breasts.
And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.
Then the LORD answered me: “Write down this vision and clearly
inscribe it on
tablets, so that a
herald may run with it.
And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.
Then all the survivors from the nations that came against Jerusalem will go up year after year to worship the King, the LORD of Hosts, and to
celebrate the Feast of
Tabernacles.
And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague,
wherewith the LORD will
smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of
tabernacles.
And if the people of Egypt will not go up and enter in, then the rain will not fall on them; this will be the plague with which the LORD strikes the nations who do not go up to
celebrate the Feast of
Tabernacles.
This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.
This will be the punishment of Egypt and of all the nations that do not go up to
celebrate the Feast of
Tabernacles.
Ye offer
polluted bread upon mine altar; and ye say, Wherein have we
polluted thee? In that ye say, The
table of the LORD is contemptible.
By presenting
defiled food on My altar. But you ask, ‘How have we
defiled You?’ By saying that the
table of the LORD is contemptible.
But ye have
profaned it, in that ye say, The
table of the LORD is
polluted; and the fruit thereof, even his meat, is contemptible.
“But you
profane it when you say, ‘The
table of the Lord is
defiled, and as for its fruit, its food is contemptible.’
The LORD will cut off the man that doeth this, the master and the scholar, out of the tabernacles of Jacob, and him that offereth an offering unto the LORD of hosts.
As for the man who does this, may the LORD cut off from the tents of Jacob
everyone who is
awake and aware—even if he brings an offering to the LORD of Hosts.
And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.
“
Yes, Lord,” she said, “even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s
table.”
Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou
wilt, let us make here three
tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.
Peter said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here. If You wish, I will put up three shelters—one for You, one for Moses, and one for
Elijah.”
And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves,

alabaster box of very precious
ointment, and poured it on his head, as he sat at meat.
And when they come from the market, except they wash, they eat not. And many other things there be, which they have received to hold, as the washing of cups, and pots,
brasen vessels, and of
tables.
And on returning from the market, they do not eat unless they wash. And there are many other traditions for them to observe, including the washing of cups, pitchers, kettles, and couches for
dining.
And she answered and said unto him,
Yes, Lord: yet the dogs under the
table eat of the children’s crumbs.
“
Yes, Lord,” she replied, “even the dogs under the
table eat the children’s crumbs.”
And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.

Elijah.”

tables of the money changers and the seats of those selling doves.

table, and wrote, saying, His name is John. And they

And one of the
Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. And he went into the
Pharisee’s house, and sat down to meat.
And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also?
But those at the table began to say to themselves, “Who is this who even forgives sins?”
And it came to pass, as they departed from him, Peter said unto Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias: not knowing what he said.
As Moses and
Elijah were leaving, Peter said to Jesus, “Master, it is good for us to be here. Let us put up three shelters—one for You, one for Moses, and one for
Elijah.” (He did not know what he was saying.)
And as he spake, a certain
Pharisee besought him to
dine with him: and he went in, and sat down to meat.
As Jesus was speaking, a
Pharisee invited Him to
dine with him; so He went in and
reclined at the
table.
Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching:
verily I say unto you, that he shall
gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.
Blessed are those servants whom the master finds on watch when he returns. Truly I tell you, he will dress himself to serve and will have them
recline at the
table, and he himself will come and wait on them.
And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.
People will come from east and west and north and south, and will
recline at the
table in the kingdom of God.
But when thou art
bidden, go and sit down in the lowest room; that when he that
bade thee cometh, he may say unto thee, Friend, go up higher: then shalt thou have worship in the presence of them that sit at meat with thee.
But when you are invited, go and sit in the last place, so that your host will come and tell you, ‘Friend, move up to a better place.’ Then you will be honored in front of
everyone at the
table with you.
And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s
table: moreover the dogs came and
licked his sores.
and longing to be fed with the crumbs that fell from the rich man’s
table. Even the dogs came and
licked his sores.
And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles with him.
When the hour had come, Jesus
reclined at the
table with His apostles.
But, behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me is with me on the table.
Look! The hand of My
betrayer is with Mine on the
table.
For whether is greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? is not he that sitteth at meat? but I am among you as he that serveth.
For who is greater, the one who reclines at the table or the one who serves? Is it not the one who reclines? But I am among you as one who serves.
That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
so that you may eat and drink at My table in My kingdom, and sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and
brake, and gave to them.

table with them, He took bread, spoke a blessing and broke it, and gave it to them.
And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting:
In the temple courts He found men selling cattle, sheep, and doves, and money changers seated at their tables.
And when he had made a
scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers’ money, and overthrew the
tables;
So He made a
whip out of cords and drove all from the temple courts, both sheep and cattle. He poured out the coins of the money changers and overturned their
tables.
Now the Jews’ feast of tabernacles was at hand.
However, the Jewish Feast of Tabernacles was near.

supper; and
Martha served: but
Lazarus was one of them that sat at the
table with him.
Now no man at the table knew for what intent he spake this unto him.
But no one at the table knew why Jesus had said this to him.
Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables.
So the Twelve summoned all the disciples and said, “It is unacceptable for us to neglect the word of God in order to wait on tables.
Yea, ye took up the
tabernacle of
Moloch, and the star of your god
Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon.
You have taken along the
tabernacle of
Molech and the star of your god Rephan, the idols you made to worship. Therefore I will send you into exile beyond Babylon.’
Our fathers had the tabernacle of witness in the wilderness, as he had appointed, speaking unto Moses, that he should make it according to the fashion that he had seen.
Our fathers had the tabernacle of the Testimony with them in the wilderness. It was constructed exactly as God had directed Moses, according to the pattern he had seen.
Who found favour before God, and desired to find a tabernacle for the God of Jacob.
who found favor in the sight of God and asked to provide a dwelling place for the God of Jacob.
Now there was at
Joppa a certain disciple named
Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did.
In
Joppa there was a disciple named
Tabitha (which is translated as Dorcas), who was always occupied with works of kindness and charity.
But Peter put them all forth, and
kneeled down, and prayed; and turning him to the body said,
Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes: and when she saw Peter, she sat up.
Then Peter sent them all out of the room. He
knelt down and prayed, and turning toward her body, he said, “
Tabitha, get up!” She opened her eyes, and seeing Peter, she sat up.
After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:
‘After this I will return and rebuild the fallen tent of David. Its ruins I will rebuild, and I will restore it,
And David saith, Let their
table be made a
snare, and a
trap, and a stumblingblock, and a recompence unto them:
Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table, and of the table of devils.
You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons too; you cannot
partake in the
table of the Lord and the
table of demons too.
Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in
tables of stone, but in
fleshy tables of the heart.
It is clear that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.
For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
Now we know that if the earthly tent we live in is
dismantled, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands.
For we that are in this
tabernacle do
groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be
swallowed up of life.
So while we are in this tent, we
groan under our burdens, because we do not wish to be unclothed but clothed, so that our mortality may be
swallowed up by life.
A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.
and who ministers in the sanctuary and true tabernacle set up by the Lord, not by man.
Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was
admonished of God when he was about to make the
tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.
The place where they serve is a copy and shadow of what is in heaven. This is why Moses was
warned when he was about to build the
tabernacle: “See to it that you make everything according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.”
For there was a
tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the
candlestick, and the
table, and the
shewbread; which is called the sanctuary.
A tabernacle was prepared. In its first room were the lampstand, the table, and the consecrated bread. This was called the Holy Place.
And after the second
veil, the
tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all;
Behind the second
curtain was a room called the Most Holy Place,
Which had the golden
censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had
manna, and Aaron’s rod that
budded, and the
tables of the covenant;
containing the golden altar of incense and the gold-covered ark of the covenant. Inside the ark were the gold
jar of
manna, Aaron’s staff that had
budded, and the stone
tablets of the covenant.
Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first
tabernacle,
accomplishing the service of God.
When everything had been prepared in this way, the priests entered regularly into the first room to perform their sacred duties.
The Holy Ghost this
signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first
tabernacle was yet standing:
By this arrangement the Holy Spirit was showing that the way into the Most Holy Place had not yet been disclosed as long as the first tabernacle was still standing.
But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;
But when Christ came as high priest of the good things that have come, He went through the greater and more perfect tabernacle that is not made by hands and is not a part of this creation.
Moreover he
sprinkled with blood both the
tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry.
In the same way, he
sprinkled with blood the
tabernacle and all the vessels used in worship.
By faith he
sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in
tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:
By faith he dwelt in the promised land as a stranger in a foreign country. He lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise.
We have an altar,
whereof they have no right to eat which serve the
tabernacle.
We have an altar from which those who serve at the tabernacle have no right to eat.
Yea, I think it meet, as long as I am in this
tabernacle, to
stir you up by putting you in
remembrance;
I think it is right to refresh your memory as long as I live in the tent of my body,
Knowing that shortly I must put off this my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ hath shewed me.
because I know that this tent will soon be laid aside, as our Lord Jesus Christ has made clear to me.
Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.
For this reason, they are before the throne of God and serve Him day and night in His temple; and the One seated on the throne will spread His tabernacle over them.
And he opened his mouth in
blasphemy against God, to
blaspheme his name, and his
tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
And the beast opened its mouth to speak blasphemies against God and to
slander His name and His
tabernacle—those who dwell in heaven.
And after that I looked, and, behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened:
After this I looked, and the temple—the tabernacle of the Testimony—was opened in heaven.
And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying: “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man, and He will dwell with them. They will be His people, and God Himself will be with them as their God.
Nevertheless the God of their fathers sent by his
messenger to call them back, because he
spared them and his
tabernacle also.
But in the time of Artexerxes king of the Persians Belemus, and Mithridates, and
Tabellius, and Rathumus, and Beeltethmus, and Semellius the secretary, with others that were in commission with them, dwelling in Samaria and other places, wrote unto him against them that dwelt in
Judea and Jerusalem these letters following;
And
Darius sent with them a thousand
horsemen, till they had brought them back to Jerusalem safely, and with musical instruments
tabrets and flutes.
The servants of the temple: the sons of
Esau, the sons of Asipha, the sons of
Tabaoth, the sons of Ceras, the sons of Sud, the sons of Phaleas, the sons of Labana, the sons of Graba,
Also they held the feast of tabernacles, as it is commanded in the law, and offered sacrifices daily, as was meet:
Their glory also will I take unto me, and give these the
everlasting tabernacles, which I had prepared for them.
And likewise Edna his wife and Sara his daughter
wept. Moreover they entertained them
cheerfully; and after that they had killed a ram of the flock, they set store of meat on the
table. Then said Tobias to Raphael, Brother Azarias, speak of those things of which thou
didst talk in the way, and let this business be
dispatched.
Give praise to the Lord, for he is good: and praise the
everlasting King, that his
tabernacle may be builded in thee again with joy, and let him make joyful there in thee those that are
captives, and love in thee for ever those that are
miserable.
He compassed also all the children of Madian, and burned up their
tabernacles, and
spoiled their sheepcotes.
Throw down their strength in thy power, and bring down their force in thy wrath: for they have purposed to
defile thy sanctuary, and to
pollute the
tabernacle where thy glorious name resteth and to cast down with sword the horn of thy altar.
But when they had recovered him, he fell at
Judith’s feet, and reverenced her, and said, Blessed art thou in all the
tabernacles of Juda, and in all nations, which hearing thy name shall be
astonished.
And that thine
handmaid hath not eaten at Aman’s
table, and that I have not greatly esteemed the king’s feast, nor
drunk the wine of the drink offerings.
Thou hast commanded me to build a temple upon thy holy mount, and an altar in the city wherein thou dwellest, a resemblance of the holy tabernacle, which thou hast prepared from the beginning.
