Now as he was speaking with me, I was in a deep sleep on my face toward the ground: but he touched me, and set me upright.
While he was speaking with me, I fell into a deep sleep, with my face to the ground. Then he touched me, helped me to my feet,
Yet heard I the voice of his words: and when I heard the voice of his words, then was I in a deep sleep on my face, and my face toward the ground.
I heard the sound of his words, and as I
listened, I fell into a deep sleep, with my face to the ground.
And when he had spoken such words unto me, I set my face
toward the ground, and I became
dumb.
While he was speaking these words to me, I set my face toward the ground and became speechless.
And when he shall stand up, his kingdom shall be broken, and shall be divided
toward the four winds of heaven; and not to his
posterity, nor according to his dominion which he ruled: for his kingdom shall be
plucked up, even for others beside those.
But as soon as he is established, his kingdom will be broken up and
parceled out
toward the four winds of heaven. It will not go to his descendants, nor will it have the authority with which he ruled, because his kingdom will be uprooted and given to others.
Then he shall turn his face
toward the fort of his own land: but he shall
stumble and fall, and not be found.
After this, he will turn back
toward the fortresses of his own land, but he will
stumble and fall and be no more.
At the time appointed he shall return, and come toward the south; but it shall not be as the former, or as the latter.

invade the South again, but this time will not be like the first.
And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and
sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to
scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.
And the man dressed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, raised his right hand and his left hand
toward heaven, and I heard him
swear by Him who lives
forever, saying, “It will be for a time, and times, and half a time. When the power of the holy people has finally been
shattered, all these things will be completed.”
Then said the LORD unto me, Go yet, love a woman beloved of her friend, yet an
adulteress, according to the love of the LORD
toward the children of Israel, who look to other gods, and love flagons of wine.
Then the LORD said to me, “Go show love to your wife again, though she is loved by another and is an
adulteress. Love her as the LORD loves the Israelites, though they turn to other gods and offer
raisin cakes to idols.”
Hear ye this, O priests; and
hearken, ye house of Israel; and give ye ear, O house of the king; for judgment is
toward you, because ye have been a
snare on
Mizpah, and a net spread upon
Tabor.
“Hear this, O priests! Take
heed, O house of Israel! Give ear, O royal house! For this judgment is against you because you have been a
snare at
Mizpah, a net spread out on
Tabor.
But I will remove far off from you the northern army, and will drive him into a land barren and
desolate, with his face
toward the east sea, and his hinder part
toward the utmost sea, and his
stink shall come up, and his ill savour shall come up, because he hath done great things.
The northern army I will drive away from you,
banishing it to a barren and
desolate land, its front ranks into the Eastern Sea, and its rear guard into the Western Sea. And its
stench will rise; its foul
odor will
ascend. For He has done great things.
And ye shall go out at the breaches, every cow at that which is before her; and ye shall cast them into the palace, saith the LORD.
You will go out through broken walls, each one straight
ahead of her, and you will be cast out
toward Harmon,” declares the LORD.
Then I said, I am cast out of thy sight; yet I will look again toward thy holy temple.

And he prayed unto the LORD, and said, I pray thee, O LORD, was not this my saying, when I was yet in my country? Therefore I fled before unto
Tarshish: for I knew that thou art a
gracious God, and
merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repentest thee of the evil.
So he prayed to the LORD, saying, “O LORD, is this not what I said while I was still in my own country? This is why I was so quick to
flee toward Tarshish. I knew that You are a
gracious and
compassionate God, slow to anger, abounding in loving devotion—One who relents from sending
disaster.
The black horses which are therein go forth into the north country; and the white go forth after them; and the
grisled go forth
toward the south country.
The one with the black horses is going
toward the land of the north, the one with the white horses
toward the west, and the one with the
dappled horses
toward the south.”
Then
cried he upon me, and spake unto me, saying, Behold, these that go
toward the north country have quieted my spirit in the north country.
Then the LORD summoned me and said, “Behold, those going to the land of the north have given rest to My Spirit in the land of the north.”
The burden of the word of the LORD in the land of Hadrach, and Damascus shall be the rest thereof: when the eyes of man, as of all the tribes of Israel, shall be toward the LORD.
This is the burden of the word of the LORD against the land of Hadrach and Damascus its resting place— for the eyes of men and of all the tribes of Israel are upon the LORD—
And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall
cleave in the midst thereof
toward the east and
toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove
toward the north, and half of it
toward the south.
On that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west, forming a great valley, with half the mountain moving to the north and half to the south.

shepherd. And He began to teach them many things.

wiped them with her hair.
So is he that layeth up
treasure for himself, and is not rich
toward God.
This is how it will be for
anyone who stores up
treasure for himself but is not rich
toward God.”

toward her body, he said, “Tabitha, get up!” She opened her eyes, and seeing Peter, she sat up.
Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks,
repentance toward God, and faith
toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
I am
verily a man which am a
Jew, born in
Tarsus, a city in
Cilicia, yet brought up in this city at the feet of
Gamaliel, and taught according to the perfect manner of the law of the fathers, and was
zealous toward God, as ye all are this day.
“I am a
Jew, born in
Tarsus of
Cilicia, but raised in this city. I was educated at the feet of
Gamaliel in strict conformity to the law of our fathers. I am just as
zealous for God as any of you here
today.
And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.
and I have the same hope in God that they themselves
cherish, that there will be a resurrection of both the righteous and the wicked.
And
herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence
toward God, and
toward men.
In this hope, I
strive always to maintain a clear conscience before God and man.
And because the
haven was not
commodious to winter in, the more part
advised to depart thence also, if by any means they might attain to Phenice, and there to winter; which is an
haven of
Crete, and lieth
toward the south west and north west.

rudder bands, and hoised up the
mainsail to the wind, and made
toward shore.
Cutting away the anchors, they left them in the sea as they
loosened the ropes that held the rudders. Then they
hoisted the
foresail to the wind and made for the
beach.
Where we found brethren, and were desired to
tarry with them seven days: and so we went
toward Rome.
There we found some brothers who invited us to
spend the week with them. And so we came to Rome.
And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their
lust one
toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
Likewise, the men abandoned natural relations with women and burned with
lust for one another. Men committed
indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
But God proves His love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.
Take notice, therefore, of the kindness and severity of God: severity to those who fell, but kindness to you, if you continue in His kindness. Otherwise you also will be cut off.
Be of the same mind one
toward another. Mind not high things, but
condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but enjoy the company of the lowly. Do not be
conceited.
Now the God of
patience and
consolation grant you to be likeminded one
toward another according to Christ Jesus:
Now may the God who gives
endurance and encouragement grant you harmony with one another in Christ Jesus,
But if any man think that he behaveth himself uncomely toward his virgin, if she pass the flower of her age, and need so require, let him do what he will, he sinneth not: let them marry.
However, if someone thinks he is acting inappropriately
toward his
betrothed, and if she is beyond her youth and they ought to marry, let him do as he wishes; he is not
sinning; they should get married.
And to pass by you into
Macedonia, and to come again out of
Macedonia unto you, and of you to be brought on my way
toward Judaea.
I wanted to visit you on my way to
Macedonia, and to return to you from
Macedonia, and then to have you help me on my way to
Judea.
But as God is true, our word
toward you was not
yea and
nay.
But as surely as God is faithful, our message to you is not “
Yes” and “No.”
Great is my boldness of speech
toward you, great is my glorying of you: I am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in all our
tribulation.
Great is my confidence in you; great is my pride in you; I am filled with encouragement; in all our troubles my joy overflows.
and not only by his arrival, but also by the comfort he had received from you. He told us about your longing, your
mourning, and your zeal for me, so that I
rejoiced all the more.
And his inward affection is more abundant
toward you, whilst he remembereth the obedience of you all, how with fear and
trembling ye received him.
And his affection for you is even greater when he remembers that you were all
obedient as you
welcomed him with fear and
trembling.
And God is able to make all grace abound
toward you; that ye, always having all
sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things, at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
Now I Paul myself
beseech you by the
meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in presence am base among you, but being absent am bold
toward you:
Now by the mildness and gentleness of Christ, I appeal to you—I, Paul, who am humble when face to face with you, but bold when away.
But I
beseech you, that I may not be bold when I am present with that confidence,
wherewith I think to be bold against some, which think of us as if we walked according to the flesh.
I
beg you that when I come I may not need to be as bold as I expect
toward those who
presume that we live according to the flesh.
For though he was
crucified through weakness, yet he liveth by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power of God
toward you.
For He was indeed
crucified in weakness, yet He lives by God’s power. And though we are weak in Him, yet by God’s power we will live with Him to serve you.
Wherein he hath abounded
toward us in all wisdom and
prudence;
that He
lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding.
That in the ages to come he might
shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness
toward us through Christ Jesus.
in order that in the coming ages He might display the
surpassing riches of His grace, demonstrated by His kindness to us in Christ Jesus.
Because for the work of Christ he was
nigh unto death, not regarding his life, to supply your lack of service
toward me.
because he nearly died for the work of Christ, risking his life to make up for your
deficit of service to me.
Brethren, I count not myself to have
apprehended: but this one thing I do,
forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do:
Forgetting what is behind and straining
toward what is
ahead,
I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
I press on
toward the
goal to
win the prize of God’s heavenly calling in Christ Jesus.
Walk in wisdom
toward them that are without,
redeeming the time.
Act wisely
toward outsiders,
redeeming the time.
And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you:
And may the Lord cause you to increase and overflow with love for one another and for
everyone else, just as our love for you overflows,
And indeed ye do it
toward all the brethren which are in all
Macedonia: but we
beseech you, brethren, that ye increase more and more;
And you are indeed showing this love to all the brothers throughout
Macedonia. But we
urge you, brothers, to
excel more and more
That ye may walk
honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.
Then you will
behave properly
toward outsiders, without being dependent on
anyone.
Now we
exhort you, brethren,
warn them that are
unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient
toward all men.
We are bound to
thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all
toward each other aboundeth;
We are
obligated to
thank God for you all the time, brothers, as is fitting, because your faith is growing more and more, and your love for one another is increasing.
But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,
But when the kindness of God our
Savior and His love for mankind appeared,
Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints;
because I hear about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints.
Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of
repentance from dead works, and of faith
toward God,
Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to
maturity, not laying again the foundation of
repentance from dead works, and of faith in God,
For God is not unrighteous to
forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed
toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
For God is not unjust. He will not
forget your work and the love you have shown for His name as you have ministered to the saints and continue to do so.
Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is
enmity with God?
whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
You adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility
toward God? Therefore,
whoever chooses to be a friend of the world renders himself an enemy of God.
For if
anyone endures the pain of unjust suffering because he is conscious of God, this is to be
commended.
The like figure
whereunto even baptism
doth also now save us (not the putting away of the
filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience
toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:
And this water symbolizes the baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of
dirt from the body, but the
pledge of a clear conscience
toward God—through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
Likewise, ye younger, submit
yourselves unto the elder.
Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with
humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.
Young men, in the same way, submit
yourselves to your elders. And all of you,
clothe yourselves with
humility toward one another, because, “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”
Beloved, if our heart
condemn us not, then have we confidence
toward God.
Beloved, if our hearts do not
condemn us, we have confidence before God,
In this was manifested the love of God
toward us, because that God sent his only
begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
This is how God’s love was revealed among us: God sent His one and only Son into the world, so that we might live through Him.
Then king Artexerxes his letters being read, Rathumus, and Semellius the
scribe, and the rest that were in commission with them, removing in
haste toward Jerusalem with a
troop of
horsemen and a multitude of people in battle
array, began to hinder the builders; and the building of the temple in Jerusalem ceased until the second year of the reign of
Darius king of the Persians.

For that he had turned the counsel of the king of Assyria
toward them, to
strengthen their hands in the works of the Lord God of Israel.
And the whole multitude came together with one
accord into the broad place of the holy
porch toward the east:
For what is man, that thou shouldest take displeasure at him? or what is a corruptible generation, that thou shouldest be so bitter toward it?
He that shall
endure the
peril in that time hath kept himself: they that be fallen into danger are such as have works, and faith
toward the
Almighty.
And strong winds shall arise from the east, and shall open it; and the cloud which he raised up in wrath, and the star
stirred to cause fear
toward the east and west wind, shall be destroyed.

Cilicia, and killed all that resisted him, and came to the borders of
Japheth, which were
toward the south, over against Arabia.
Then came he down toward the sea coast, both he and his army, and set garrisons in the high cities, and took out of them chosen men for aid.
Also Joacim the high priest, which was in those days in Jerusalem, wrote to them that dwelt in Bethulia, and Betomestham, which is over against
Esdraelon toward the open country, near to Dothaim,
And viewed the passages up to the city, and came to the fountains of their waters, and took them, and set garrisons of men of war over them, and he himself removed toward his people.
Then the children of
Esau went up with the children of
Ammon, and camped in the hill country over against Dothaim: and they sent some of them
toward the south, and
toward the east over against Ekrebel, which is near unto Chusi, that is upon the
brook Mochmur; and the rest of the army of the Assyrians camped in the plain, and covered the face of the whole land; and their tents and carriages were pitched to a very great multitude.
Then said Ozias to them, Brethren, be of good courage, let us yet
endure five days, in the which space the Lord our God may turn his mercy
toward us; for he will not
forsake us utterly.
