went over to her and said, “Come now, let me sleep with you.” “What will you give me for sleeping with you?” she inquired.
And she arose, and

smiting an Hebrew, one of his brethren.

And when he
went out the second day, behold, two men of the Hebrews

So the
Israelite foremen went and appealed to Pharaoh: “Why are you treating your servants this way?

Ever since I went to Pharaoh to speak in Your name, he has brought trouble on this people, and You have not delivered Your people in any way.”
And Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and they did so as the LORD had commanded: and Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh, and before his servants, and it became a serpent.

yourself before Me? Let My people go, so that they may worship Me.
And they shall fill thy houses, and the houses of all thy servants, and the houses of all the Egyptians; which neither thy fathers, nor thy fathers’ fathers have seen, since the day that they were upon the earth unto this day. And he turned himself, and went out from Pharaoh.
They will fill your houses and the houses of all your officials and every Egyptian—something neither your fathers nor your grandfathers have seen since the day they came into this land.’” Then Moses turned and left Pharaoh’s presence.

went up over all the land of Egypt, and rested in all the coasts of Egypt: very

But God led the people about, through the way of the wilderness of the Red sea: and the children of Israel
went up

arrayed for battle.
And the LORD
went before them by day in a
pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a
pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night:
And the LORD
went before them in a
pillar of cloud to guide their way by day, and in a
pillar of fire to give them light by night, so that they could travel by day or night.

And the angel of God, which
went before the camp of Israel, removed and
went behind them; and the

went from before their face, and stood behind them:
And the angel of God, who had gone before the camp of Israel, withdrew and
went behind them. The
pillar of cloud also moved from before them and stood behind them,
And it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel; and it was a cloud and darkness to them, but it gave light by night to these: so that the one came not near the other all the night.

lit up the night. So all night long neither camp
went near the other.
And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.
and the Israelites went through the sea on dry ground, with walls of water on their right and on their left.
And the Egyptians pursued, and
went in after them to the midst of the sea, even all Pharaoh’s horses, his
chariots, and his
horsemen.
And the Egyptians
chased after them—all Pharaoh’s horses,
chariots, and
horsemen—and followed them into the sea.
For the horse of Pharaoh
went in with his
chariots and with his
horsemen into the sea, and the LORD brought again the waters of the sea upon them; but the children of Israel
went on dry land in the midst of the sea.
For when Pharaoh’s horses,
chariots, and
horsemen went into the sea, the LORD brought the waters of the sea back over them. But the Israelites walked through the sea on dry ground.

instructed him and fought against the

went up to the top of the hill.
But Moses’ hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat
thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.
When Moses’ hands grew heavy, they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it. Then Aaron and Hur held his hands up, one on each side, so that his hands remained steady until the sun went down.
And Moses
went out to meet his father in law, and did
obeisance, and
kissed him; and they asked each other of their
welfare; and they came into the tent.
So Moses
went out to meet his father-in-law and bowed down and
kissed him. They
greeted each other and
went into the tent.
And Moses let his father in law depart; and he went his way into his own land.
Then Moses sent his father-in-law on his way, and Jethro returned to his own land.
And Moses went up unto God, and the LORD called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel;

And Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before their faces all these words which the LORD commanded him.
So Moses went back and summoned the elders of the people and set before them all these words that the LORD had commanded him.
And Moses
went down from the mount unto the people, and
sanctified the people; and they washed their clothes.

And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the
trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that was in the camp
trembled.

thunder and
lightning. A thick cloud was upon the mountain, and a very loud blast of the ram’s horn
went out, so that all the people in the camp
trembled.
And the LORD came down upon mount
Sinai, on the top of the mount: and the LORD called Moses up to the top of the mount; and Moses
went up.
The LORD descended to the top of Mount
Sinai and called Moses to the summit. So Moses
went up,
So Moses went down unto the people, and spake unto them.
So Moses went down to the people and spoke to them.
Then
went up Moses, and Aaron,
Nadab, and
Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel:
Then Moses
went up with Aaron,
Nadab and
Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel,
And Moses rose up, and his minister Joshua: and Moses went up into the mount of God.
So Moses set out with Joshua his
attendant and
went up on the mountain of God.
And Moses went up into the mount, and a cloud covered the mount.
When Moses went up on the mountain, the cloud covered it,
And Moses
went into the midst of the cloud, and
gat him up into the mount: and Moses was in the mount forty days and forty nights.
Moses entered the cloud as he went up on the mountain, and he remained on the mountain forty days and forty nights.
And Moses turned, and went down from the mount, and the two tables of the testimony were in his hand: the tables were written on both their sides; on the one side and on the other were they written.
Then Moses turned and went down the mountain with the two tablets of the Testimony in his hands. They were inscribed on both sides, front and back.
For Moses had said,
Consecrate yourselves to day to the LORD, even every man upon his son, and upon his brother; that he may
bestow upon you a blessing this day.
Afterward, Moses said, “
Today you have been ordained for service to the LORD, since each man
went against his son and his brother; so the LORD has bestowed a blessing on you this day.”
And when the people heard these evil
tidings, they
mourned: and no man did put on him his ornaments.
And Moses took the tabernacle, and pitched it without the camp,
afar off from the camp, and called it the Tabernacle of the congregation. And it came to pass, that every one which sought the LORD
went out unto the tabernacle of the congregation, which was without the camp.
Now Moses used to take the tent and pitch it at a distance outside the camp. He called it the Tent of Meeting, and
anyone inquiring of the LORD would go to the Tent of Meeting outside the camp.
And it came to pass, when Moses went out unto the tabernacle, that all the people rose up, and stood every man at his tent door, and looked after Moses, until he was gone into the tabernacle.
Then, whenever Moses went out to the tent, all the people would stand at the entrances to their own tents and watch Moses until he entered the tent.
And he
hewed two tables of stone like unto the first; and Moses rose up early in the morning, and
went up unto mount
Sinai, as the LORD had commanded him, and took in his hand the two tables of stone.
So Moses
chiseled out two stone tablets like the originals. He rose early in the morning, and taking the two stone tablets in his hands, he
went up Mount
Sinai as the LORD had commanded him.
But when Moses
went in before the LORD to speak with him, he took the
vail off, until he came out. And he came out, and spake unto the children of Israel that which he was commanded.
But whenever Moses
went in before the LORD to speak with Him, he would remove the
veil until he came out. And when he came out, he would tell the Israelites what he had been commanded,
And the children of Israel saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses’ face
shone: and Moses put the
vail upon his face again, until he
went in to speak with him.
and the Israelites would see that the face of Moses was
radiant. So Moses would put the
veil back over his face until he
went in to speak with the LORD.
And Bezaleel made the ark of
shittim wood: two cubits and a half was the length of it, and a
cubit and a half the breadth of it, and a
cubit and a half the height of it:
Bezalel
went on to construct the ark of
acacia wood, two and a half cubits long, a
cubit and a half wide, and a
cubit and a half high.
A
bekah for every man, that is, half a
shekel, after the
shekel of the sanctuary, for every one that
went to be numbered, from twenty years old and upward, for six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty men.
a beka per person, that is, half a
shekel, according to the sanctuary
shekel, from
everyone twenty years of age or older who had crossed over to be numbered, a total of 603,550 men.
When they went into the tent of the congregation, and when they came near unto the altar, they washed; as the LORD commanded Moses.
They washed whenever they entered the Tent of Meeting or approached the altar, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
And when the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the children of Israel
went onward in all their journeys:
Whenever the cloud was lifted from above the tabernacle, the Israelites would set out through all the stages of their journey.
Aaron therefore
went unto the altar, and
slew the
calf of the sin offering, which was for himself.
So Aaron approached the altar and slaughtered the
calf as a sin offering for himself.
And Moses and Aaron went into the tabernacle of the congregation, and came out, and blessed the people: and the glory of the LORD appeared unto all the people.
Moses and Aaron then entered the Tent of Meeting. When they came out, they blessed the people, and the glory of the LORD appeared to all the people.
And there
went out fire from the LORD, and
devoured them, and they died before the LORD.
So fire came out from the presence of the LORD and consumed them, and they died in the presence of the LORD.
So they went near, and carried them in their coats out of the camp; as Moses had said.
So they came forward and carried them, still in their tunics, outside the camp, as Moses had directed.
And Aaron shall come into the tabernacle of the congregation, and shall put off the linen garments, which he put on when he went into the holy place, and shall leave them there:
Then Aaron is to enter the Tent of Meeting, take off the linen garments he put on before entering the Most Holy Place, and leave them there.
Blind, or broken, or
maimed, or having a
wen, or
scurvy, or
scabbed, ye shall not offer these unto the LORD, nor make an offering by fire of them upon the altar unto the LORD.
You are not to present to the LORD any animal that is blind, injured, or
maimed, or anything with a running
sore, a
festering rash, or a
scab; you must not put any of these on the altar as an offering made by fire to the LORD.
And the son of an
Israelitish woman, whose father was an Egyptian,
went out among the children of Israel: and this son of the
Israelitish woman and a man of Israel
strove together in the camp;
Now the son of an
Israelite mother and an Egyptian father
went out among the Israelites, and a fight broke out in the camp between him and an
Israelite.
And after that went the Levites in to do their service in the tabernacle of the congregation before Aaron, and before his sons: as the LORD had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did they unto them.
After that, the Levites came to perform their service at the Tent of Meeting in the presence of Aaron and his sons. Thus they did with the Levites just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
In the first place
went the standard of the camp of the children of Judah according to their armies: and over his host was Nahshon the son of
Amminadab.
First, the divisions of the camp of Judah set out under their standard, with Nahshon son of
Amminadab in command.
And they departed from the mount of the LORD three days’ journey: and the ark of the covenant of the LORD went before them in the three days’ journey, to search out a resting place for them.
So they set out on a three-day journey from the mountain of the LORD, with the ark of the covenant of the LORD traveling
ahead of them for those three days to seek a resting place for them.
And the cloud of the LORD was upon them by day, when they went out of the camp.
And the cloud of the LORD was over them by day when they set out from the camp.
And the people
went about, and gathered it, and ground it in mills, or beat it in a mortar, and
baked it in pans, and made cakes of it: and the taste of it was as the taste of fresh oil.
The people walked around and gathered it, ground it on a
handmill or
crushed it in a mortar, then boiled it in a
cooking pot or shaped it into cakes. It tasted like
pastry baked with fine oil.
