mercies, and of all the truth, which thou hast shewed unto thy servant; for with my staff I passed over this Jordan; and now I am

festering boils will break out on man and beast throughout the land.”

become desolate, and the beast of the field multiply against thee.

become desolate and wild animals would multiply against you.

inherit the land.
Little by little I will drive them out
ahead of you, until you
become fruitful and possess the land.

atonement for the altar, and

become most holy; whatever touches the altar will be holy.
And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we
wot not what is
become of him.
Now when the people saw that Moses was delayed in coming down from the mountain, they gathered around Aaron and said, “Come, make us gods who will go before us. As for this Moses who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has happened to him!”
For they said unto me, Make us gods, which shall go before us: for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we
wot not what is
become of him.

Take
heed to
thyself, lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land
whither thou goest, lest it be for a
snare in the midst of thee:
Be careful not to make a treaty with the inhabitants of the land you are entering, lest they
become a
snare in your midst.
And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount
Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses’ hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses

Sinai with the two tablets of the Testimony in his hands, he was unaware that his face had
become radiant from speaking with the LORD.
When the sin, which they have
sinned against it, is known, then the congregation shall offer a young
bullock for the sin, and bring him before the tabernacle of the congregation.
when they become aware of the sin they have committed, then the assembly must bring a young bull as a sin offering and present it before the Tent of Meeting.
Or if his sin, wherein he hath
sinned, come to his knowledge; he shall bring his offering, a
kid of the goats, a male without
blemish:
When he
becomes aware of the sin he has committed, he must bring an
unblemished male goat as his offering.
Or if his sin, which he hath
sinned, come to his knowledge: then he shall bring his offering, a
kid of the goats, a female without
blemish, for his sin which he hath
sinned.
When he
becomes aware of the sin he has committed, he must bring an
unblemished female goat as his offering for that sin.
Or if he touch the uncleanness of man,
whatsoever uncleanness it be that a man shall be
defiled withal, and it be
hid from him; when he knoweth of it, then he shall be guilty.
Or if he touches human uncleanness—anything by which one becomes unclean—even if he is unaware of it, when he realizes it, he is guilty.
Then it shall be, because he hath
sinned, and is guilty, that he shall restore that which he took violently away, or the thing which he hath
deceitfully gotten, or that which was delivered him to keep, or the lost thing which he found,
once he has
sinned and
becomes guilty, he must return what he has
stolen or taken by
extortion, or the deposit entrusted to him, or the lost property he found,
All the males among the children of Aaron shall eat of it. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations concerning the offerings of the LORD made by fire: every one that toucheth them shall be holy.
Any male among the sons of Aaron may eat it. This is a permanent portion from the offerings made by fire to the LORD for the generations to come. Anything that touches them will become holy.”
Whatsoever shall touch the flesh thereof shall be holy: and when there is
sprinkled of the blood thereof upon any garment, thou shalt wash that
whereon it was
sprinkled in the holy place.
Anything that touches its flesh will
become holy, and if any of the blood is
spattered on a garment, you must wash it in a holy place.
And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto
Eleazar and unto
Ithamar, his sons, Uncover not your heads, neither
rend your clothes; lest ye die, and lest wrath come upon all the people: but let your brethren, the whole house of Israel,
bewail the burning which the LORD hath
kindled.
Then Moses said to Aaron and his sons
Eleazar and
Ithamar, “Do not let your hair
become disheveled and do not
tear your garments, or else you will die, and the LORD will be
angry with the whole congregation. But your brothers, the whole house of Israel, may
mourn on account of the fire that the LORD has
ignited.
And upon
whatsoever any of them, when they are dead,
doth fall, it shall be unclean; whether it be any vessel of wood, or
raiment, or skin, or
sack,
whatsoever vessel it be, wherein any work is done, it must be put into water, and it shall be unclean until the even; so it shall be
cleansed.
When one of them dies and falls on something, that article
becomes unclean; any article of wood, clothing, leather,
sackcloth, or any
implement used for work must be
rinsed with water and will remain unclean until evening; then it will be clean.
Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a woman have conceived seed, and born a man child: then she shall be unclean seven days; according to the days of the separation for her
infirmity shall she be unclean.

becomes pregnant and gives birth to a son will be unclean for seven days, as she is during the days of her
menstruation.
When a man shall have in the skin of his flesh a rising, a
scab, or a bright spot, and it be in the skin of his flesh like the plague of
leprosy; then he shall be brought unto Aaron the priest, or unto one of his sons the priests:
“When someone has a swelling or
rash or bright spot on his skin that could
become an
infectious skin disease, he must be brought to Aaron the priest or to one of his sons who is a priest.
Or if there be any flesh, in the skin
whereof there is a hot burning, and the quick flesh that burneth have a white bright spot, somewhat reddish, or white;
When there is a burn on someone’s skin and the raw area of the burn becomes reddish-white or white,
Then the priest shall command that they empty the house, before the priest go into it to see the plague, that all that is in the house be not made unclean: and afterward the priest shall go in to see the house:
The priest must order that the house be cleared before he enters it to examine the
mildew, so that nothing in the house will
become unclean. After this, the priest shall go in to
inspect the house.
And if any man lie with her at all, and her flowers be upon him, he shall be unclean seven days; and all the bed
whereon he lieth shall be unclean.
If a man lies with her and her
menstrual flow touches him, he will be unclean for seven days, and any bed on which he lies will
become unclean.
And the land is
defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants.
Even the land has
become defiled, so I am
punishing it for its sin, and the land will
vomit out its inhabitants.
(For all these abominations have the men of the land done, which were before you, and the land is
defiled;)
For the men who were in the land before you committed all these abominations, and the land has
become defiled.
Do not
prostitute thy daughter, to cause her to be a
whore; lest the land fall to
whoredom, and the land
become full of wickedness.
Ye shall therefore put difference between clean beasts and unclean, and between unclean fowls and clean: and ye shall not make your souls
abominable by beast, or by fowl, or by any manner of living thing that creepeth on the ground, which I have separated from you as unclean.
You are therefore to distinguish between clean and unclean animals and birds. Do not
become contaminated by any animal or bird, or by anything that crawls on the ground; I have set these apart as unclean for you.
And when the sun is down, he shall be clean, and shall afterward eat of the holy things; because it is his food.
When the sun has set, he will become clean, and then he may eat from the sacred offerings, for they are his food.
But if the priest’s daughter be a widow, or
divorced, and have no child, and is returned unto her father’s house, as in her youth, she shall eat of her father’s meat: but there shall no stranger eat thereof.
But if a priest’s daughter with no children
becomes widowed or
divorced and returns to her father’s house, she may share her father’s food as in her youth. But no outsider may share it.
If thy brother be
waxen poor, and hath sold away some of his possession, and if any of his
kin come to
redeem it, then shall he
redeem that which his brother sold.
If your brother
becomes impoverished and sells some of his property, his nearest of
kin may come and
redeem what his brother has sold.
And if thy brother be
waxen poor, and fallen in decay with thee; then thou shalt
relieve him:
yea, though he be a stranger, or a
sojourner; that he may live with thee.
Now if your
countryman becomes destitute and cannot support himself among you, then you are to help him as you would a foreigner or stranger, so that he can continue to live among you.
And if thy brother that dwelleth by thee be
waxen poor, and be sold unto thee; thou shalt not
compel him to serve as a
bondservant:
If a
countryman among you
becomes destitute and sells himself to you, then you must not force him into slave labor.
Moreover of the children of the strangers that do
sojourn among you, of them shall ye
buy, and of their families that are with you, which they
begat in your land: and they shall be your possession.
You may also purchase them from the foreigners residing among you or their clans living among you who are born in your land. These may become your property.
And if a
sojourner or stranger wax rich by thee, and thy brother that dwelleth by him wax poor, and sell himself unto the stranger or
sojourner by thee, or to the stock of the stranger’s family:
If a foreigner residing among you prospers, but your
countryman dwelling near him
becomes destitute and sells himself to the foreigner or to a member of his clan,
And I will
scatter you among the heathen, and will draw out a sword after you: and your land shall be
desolate, and your cities waste.
But I will
scatter you among the nations and will draw out a sword after you as your land
becomes desolate and your cities are laid waste.
But the field, when it goeth out in the jubile, shall be holy unto the LORD, as a field devoted; the possession thereof shall be the priest’s.
When the field is released in the
Jubilee, it will
become holy, like a field devoted to the LORD; it
becomes the property of the priests.
He shall not search whether it be good or bad, neither shall he change it: and if he change it at all, then both it and the change thereof shall be holy; it shall not be redeemed.
He must not
inspect whether it is good or bad, and he shall not make any substitution. But if he does make a substitution, both the animal and its substitute shall
become holy; they cannot be redeemed.’”
And the priest shall charge her by an oath, and say unto the woman, If no man have
lain with thee, and if thou hast not gone aside to uncleanness with another instead of thy husband, be thou free from this bitter water that causeth the
curse:
And he is to put the woman under oath and say to her, ‘If no other man has
slept with you and you have not gone
astray and
become defiled while under your husband’s authority, may you be
immune to this bitter water that brings a
curse.
And he shall cause the woman to drink the bitter water that causeth the
curse: and the water that causeth the
curse shall enter into her, and
become bitter.
He is to have the woman drink the bitter water that brings a
curse, and it will enter her and cause her bitter suffering.
And when he hath made her to drink the water, then it shall come to pass, that, if she be
defiled, and have done
trespass against her husband, that the water that causeth the
curse shall enter into her, and
become bitter, and her
belly shall swell, and her
thigh shall
rot: and the woman shall be a
curse among her people.
When he has made her drink the water, if she has
defiled herself and been unfaithful to her husband, then the water that brings a
curse will enter her and cause bitter suffering; her
belly will swell, her
thigh will
shrivel, and she will
become accursed among her people.
And wherefore hath the LORD brought us unto this land, to fall by the sword, that our wives and our children should be a prey? were it not better for us to return into Egypt?
Why is the LORD bringing us into this land to fall by the sword? Our wives and children will
become plunder. Would it not be better for us to go back to Egypt?”
But your little ones, which ye said should be a prey, them will I bring in, and they shall know the land which ye have
despised.
But I will bring your children, whom you said would
become plunder, into the land you have rejected—and they will enjoy it.
The censers of these sinners against their own souls, let them make them broad plates for a covering of the altar: for they offered them before the LORD, therefore they are
hallowed: and they shall be a sign unto the children of Israel.
As for the censers of those who
sinned at the cost of their own lives, hammer them into sheets to overlay the altar, for these were presented before the LORD, and so have
become holy. They will serve as a sign to the Israelites.”
To be a
memorial unto the children of Israel, that no stranger, which is not of the seed of Aaron, come near to offer incense before the LORD; that he be not as
Korah, and as his company: as the LORD said to him by the hand of Moses.
just as the LORD commanded him through Moses. This was to be a reminder to the Israelites that no outsider who is not a
descendant of Aaron should approach to offer incense before the LORD, lest he
become like
Korah and his followers.
And
whatsoever the unclean person toucheth shall be unclean; and the soul that toucheth it shall be unclean until even.
Anything the unclean person touches will
become unclean, and
anyone who touches it will be unclean until evening.”
And
Edom shall be a possession,
Seir also shall be a possession for his enemies; and Israel shall do
valiantly.
Edom will
become a possession, as will
Seir, his enemy; but Israel will perform with
valor.
But if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you; then it shall come to pass, that those which ye let remain of them shall be pricks in your eyes, and thorns in your sides, and shall
vex you in the land wherein ye dwell.
But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land before you, those you allow to remain will
become barbs in your eyes and thorns in your sides; they will
harass you in the land where you settle.
Moreover your little ones, which ye said should be a prey, and your children, which in that day had no knowledge between good and evil, they shall go in thither, and unto them will I give it, and they shall possess it.
And the little ones you said would
become captives—your children who on that day did not know good from evil—will enter the land that I will give them, and they will possess it.
Then thine heart be lifted up, and thou
forget the LORD thy God, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of
bondage;
then your heart will
become proud, and you will
forget the LORD your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.
Then thou shalt take an aul, and thrust it through his ear unto the door, and he shall be thy servant for ever. And also unto thy
maidservant thou shalt do likewise.
then take an
awl and
pierce it through his ear into the door, and he will
become your servant for life. And treat your
maidservant the same way.
And what man is there that hath
betrothed a wife, and hath not taken her? let him go and return unto his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man take her.
Has any man
become pledged to a woman and not married her? Let him return home, or he may die in battle and another man marry her.”
