borders of the land.
When he hath made plain the face thereof,
doth he not cast abroad the
fitches, and
scatter the
cummin, and cast in the principal wheat and the appointed barley and
rie in their place?
When he has leveled its surface, does he not
sow caraway and
scatter cumin? He plants wheat in rows and barley in plots, and
rye within its
border.
By thy servants hast thou reproached the Lord, and hast said, By the multitude of my
chariots am I come up to the height of the mountains, to the sides of
Lebanon; and I will cut down the tall cedars thereof, and the choice
fir trees thereof: and I will enter into the height of his
border, and the forest of his
Carmel.
Through your servants you have

And these are the measures of the altar after the cubits: The
cubit is a
cubit and an hand breadth; even the bottom shall be a
cubit, and the breadth a
cubit, and the
border thereof by the edge thereof round about shall be a span: and this shall be the higher place of the altar.
These are the measurements of the altar in long cubits (a
cubit and a
handbreadth): Its
gutter shall be a
cubit deep and a
cubit wide, with a
rim of one span around its edge. And this is the height of the altar:
And the settle shall be fourteen cubits long and fourteen broad in the four squares thereof; and the
border about it shall be half a
cubit; and the bottom thereof shall be a
cubit about; and his stairs shall look toward the east.
The
ledge shall also be square, fourteen cubits long and fourteen cubits wide, with a
rim of half a
cubit and a
gutter of a
cubit all around it. The steps of the altar shall face east.”
And thou shalt take of the blood thereof, and put it on the four horns of it, and on the four corners of the settle, and upon the
border round about: thus shalt thou
cleanse and
purge it.
You are to take some of its blood and put it on the four horns of the altar, on the four corners of the
ledge, and all around the
rim; thus you will
cleanse the altar and make
atonement for it.
Moreover, when ye shall divide by lot the land for inheritance, ye shall offer an
oblation unto the LORD, an holy portion of the land: the length shall be the length of five and twenty thousand reeds, and the breadth shall be ten thousand. This shall be holy in all the
borders thereof round about.
“When you divide the land by lot as an inheritance, you are to set aside a portion for the LORD, a holy portion of the land 25,000 cubits long and 20,000 cubits wide. This entire tract of land will be holy.
And a portion shall be for the prince on the one side and on the other side of the
oblation of the holy portion, and of the possession of the city, before the
oblation of the holy portion, and before the possession of the city, from the west side westward, and from the east side eastward: and the length shall be over against one of the portions, from the west
border unto the east
border.
Now the prince will have the area
bordering each side of the area formed by the holy district and the property of the city, extending westward from the western side and eastward from the eastern side, running
lengthwise from the western boundary to the eastern boundary and parallel to one of the
tribal portions.
Thus saith the Lord GOD; This shall be the
border, whereby ye shall
inherit the land according to the twelve tribes of Israel: Joseph shall have two portions.
This is what the Lord GOD says: “These are the boundaries by which you are to divide the land as an inheritance among the twelve tribes of Israel; Joseph shall receive two portions.
And this shall be the border of the land toward the north side, from the great sea, the way of Hethlon, as men go to Zedad;
This shall be the boundary of the land:
Hamath, Berothah, Sibraim, which is between the
border of Damascus and the
border of
Hamath; Hazar-hatticon, which is by the coast of
Hauran.
On the north side it will extend from the Great Sea by way of Hethlon through Lebo-
hamath to Zedad, Berothah, and Sibraim (which is on the
border between Damascus and
Hamath), as far as Hazer-hatticon, which is on the
border of
Hauran.
And the
border from the sea shall be Hazar-enan, the
border of Damascus, and the north northward, and the
border of
Hamath. And this is the north side.
So the
border will run from the Sea to Hazar-enan, along the northern
border of Damascus, with the territory of
Hamath to the north. This will be the northern boundary.
And the east side ye shall measure from
Hauran, and from Damascus, and from
Gilead, and from the land of Israel by Jordan, from the
border unto the east sea. And this is the east side.
On the east side the
border will run between
Hauran and Damascus, along the Jordan between
Gilead and the land of Israel, to the Eastern Sea and as far as Tamar. This will be the eastern boundary.
The west side also shall be the great sea from the
border, till a man come over against
Hamath. This is the west side.
And on the west side, the Great Sea will be the boundary up to a point opposite Lebo-
hamath. This will be the western boundary.
Now these are the names of the tribes. From the north end to the coast of the way of Hethlon, as one goeth to
Hamath, Hazar-enan, the
border of Damascus northward, to the coast of
Hamath; for these are his sides east and west; a portion for
Dan.
“Now these are the names of the tribes: At the northern frontier,
Dan will have one portion
bordering the road of Hethlon to Lebo-
hamath and running on to Hazar-enan on the
border of Damascus with
Hamath to the north, and extending from the east side to the west side.
And by the
border of
Dan, from the east side unto the west side, a portion for Asher.
Asher will have one portion
bordering the territory of
Dan from east to west.
And by the
border of Asher, from the east side even unto the west side, a portion for
Naphtali.
Naphtali will have one portion
bordering the territory of Asher from east to west.
And by the
border of
Naphtali, from the east side unto the west side, a portion for
Manasseh.
Manasseh will have one portion
bordering the territory of
Naphtali from east to west.
And by the
border of
Manasseh, from the east side unto the west side, a portion for Ephraim.
Ephraim will have one portion
bordering the territory of
Manasseh from east to west.
And by the
border of Ephraim, from the east side even unto the west side, a portion for
Reuben.
Reuben will have one portion
bordering the territory of Ephraim from east to west.
And by the
border of
Reuben, from the east side unto the west side, a portion for Judah.
Judah will have one portion
bordering the territory of
Reuben from east to west.
And by the border of Judah, from the east side unto the west side, shall be the offering which ye shall offer of five and twenty thousand reeds in breadth, and in length as one of the other parts, from the east side unto the west side: and the sanctuary shall be in the midst of it.
Bordering the territory of Judah, from east to west, will be the portion you are to set apart. It will be 25,000 cubits wide, and the length of a
tribal portion from east to west. In the center will be the sanctuary.
And this
oblation of the land that is offered shall be unto them a thing most holy by the
border of the Levites.
It will be a special portion for them set apart from the land, a most holy portion adjacent to the territory of the Levites.
And over against the border of the priests the Levites shall have five and twenty thousand in length, and ten thousand in breadth: all the length shall be five and twenty thousand, and the breadth ten thousand.
Bordering the territory of the priests, the Levites shall have an area 25,000 cubits long and 10,000 cubits wide. The whole length will be 25,000 cubits, and the width 10,000 cubits.
And the residue in length over against the
oblation of the holy portion shall be ten thousand eastward, and ten thousand westward: and it shall be over against the
oblation of the holy portion; and the increase thereof shall be for food unto them that serve the city.
The remainder of the length bordering the holy portion and running adjacent to it will be 10,000 cubits on the east side and 10,000 cubits on the west side. Its produce will supply food for the workers of the city.
And the residue shall be for the prince, on the one side and on the other of the holy
oblation, and of the possession of the city, over against the five and twenty thousand of the
oblation toward the east
border, and westward over against the five and twenty thousand toward the west
border, over against the portions for the prince: and it shall be the holy
oblation; and the sanctuary of the house shall be in the midst thereof.
The remaining area on both sides of the holy portion and of the property of the city will belong to the prince. He will own the land adjacent to the
tribal portions, extending eastward from the 25,000 cubits of the holy district toward the eastern
border, and westward from the 25,000 cubits to the western
border. And in the center of them will be the holy portion and the sanctuary of the temple.
Moreover from the possession of the Levites, and from the possession of the city, being in the midst of that which is the prince’s, between the border of Judah and the border of Benjamin, shall be for the prince.
So the
Levitical property and the city property will lie in the center of the area belonging to the prince—the area between the
borders of Judah and Benjamin.
And by the
border of Benjamin, from the east side unto the west side,
Simeon shall have a portion.
Simeon will have one portion
bordering the territory of Benjamin from east to west.
And by the
border of
Simeon, from the east side unto the west side,
Issachar a portion.
Issachar will have one portion
bordering the territory of
Simeon from east to west.
And by the
border of
Issachar, from the east side unto the west side,
Zebulun a portion.
Zebulun will have one portion
bordering the territory of
Issachar from east to west.
And by the
border of
Zebulun, from the east side unto the west side,
Gad a portion.
And
Gad will have one portion
bordering the territory of
Zebulun from east to west.
And by the
border of
Gad, at the south side southward, the
border shall be even from Tamar unto the waters of
strife in Kadesh, and to the river toward the great sea.
The southern
border of
Gad will run from Tamar to the waters of Meribath-kadesh, then along the
Brook of Egypt and out to the Great Sea.
The children also of Judah and the children of Jerusalem have ye sold unto the Grecians, that ye might remove them far from their border.
You sold the people of Judah and Jerusalem to the Greeks, to send them far from their homeland.
Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of the children of
Ammon, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have
ripped up the women with child of
Gilead, that they might
enlarge their
border:
Pass ye unto
Calneh, and see; and from thence go ye to
Hamath the great: then go down to
Gath of the Philistines: be they better than these kingdoms? or their
border greater than your
border?
Cross over to
Calneh and see; go from there to the great
Hamath; then go down to
Gath of the Philistines. Are you better than these kingdoms? Is their territory larger than yours?
All the men of thy
confederacy have brought thee even to the
border: the men that were at peace with thee have
deceived thee, and prevailed against thee; they that eat thy bread have laid a wound under thee: there is none understanding in him.
All the men allied with you will drive you to the
border; the men at peace with you will
deceive and overpower you. Those who eat your bread will set a
trap for you without your awareness of it.
And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of
Nimrod in the entrances thereof: thus shall he deliver us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our
borders.
And they will rule the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of
Nimrod with the
blade drawn. So He will deliver us when Assyria invades our land and marches into our
borders.
I have heard the reproach of Moab, and the revilings of the children of
Ammon, whereby they have reproached my people, and
magnified themselves against their
border.
“I have heard the reproach of Moab and the insults of the
Ammonites, who have
taunted My people and threatened their
borders.
And
Hamath also shall
border thereby; Tyrus, and Zidon, though it be very wise.
and also against
Hamath, which
borders it, as well as Tyre and
Sidon, though they are very
shrewd.
Whereas
Edom saith, We are
impoverished, but we will return and build the
desolate places; thus saith the LORD of hosts, They shall build, but I will throw down; and they shall call them, The
border of wickedness, and, The people against whom the LORD hath
indignation for ever.
Though
Edom may say, “We have been
devastated, but we will rebuild the ruins,” this is what the LORD of Hosts says: “They may build, but I will
demolish. They will be called the Land of Wickedness, and a people with whom the LORD is
indignant forever.
And your eyes shall see, and ye shall say, The LORD will be
magnified from the
border of Israel.
You will see this with your own eyes, and you
yourselves will say, ‘The LORD is great—even beyond the
borders of Israel.’”
And leaving
Nazareth, he came and dwelt in
Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the
borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim:
But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their
phylacteries, and
enlarge the
borders of their garments,
And
whithersoever he entered, into villages, or cities, or country, they laid the sick in the streets, and
besought him that they might touch if it were but the
border of his garment: and as many as touched him were made whole.
And wherever He went—villages and towns and countrysides—they laid the sick in the marketplaces and
begged Him just to let them touch the
fringe of His
cloak. And all who touched Him were
healed.
And from thence he arose, and went into the
borders of Tyre and
Sidon, and entered into an house, and would have no man know it: but he could not be
hid.
Jesus left that place and went to the region of Tyre. Not wanting
anyone to know He was there, He entered a house, but was unable to escape their notice.
Came behind him, and touched the
border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood
stanched.
She came up behind Jesus and touched the
fringe of His
cloak, and immediately her
bleeding stopped.
And when they came to the
border of
Mysia, they tried to enter
Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus would not permit them.
And he said unto me, In the beginning, when the earth was made, before the
borders of the world stood, or ever the winds
blew,
Shall be preserved from the said perils, and shall see my salvation in my land, and within my
borders: for I have
sanctified them for me from the beginning.
For the rest of my people shall he deliver with mercy, those that have been pressed upon my
borders, and he shall make them joyful until the coming of the day of judgment,
whereof I have spoken unto thee from the beginning.
But those that be left behind of thy people are they that are found within my borders.
Even in those days king Nabuchodonosor made war with king Arphaxad in the great plain, which is the plain in the borders of Ragau.
Until ye come beyond Tanis and
Memphis, and to all the inhabitants of Egypt, until ye come to the
borders of
Ethiopia.
Therefore Nabuchodonosor was very
angry with all this country, and
sware by his throne and kingdom, that he would surely be
avenged upon all those coasts of
Cilicia, and Damascus, and Syria, and that he would
slay with the sword all the inhabitants of the land of Moab, and the children of
Ammon, and all
Judea, and all that were in Egypt, till ye come to the
borders of the two seas.
And he took the
borders of
Cilicia, and killed all that resisted him, and came to the
borders of
Japheth, which were toward the south, over against Arabia.
