damsel to whom I shall say, Let down thy pitcher, I pray thee, that I may drink; and she shall say, Drink, and I will give thy
camels drink also: let the same be she that thou hast appointed for thy servant Isaac; and thereby shall I know that thou hast shewed kindness unto my master.
Now may it happen that the

jar that I may drink,’ and who responds, ‘Drink, and I will water your
camels as well’—let her be the one You have appointed for Your servant Isaac. By this I will know that You have shown kindness to my master.”
And when she had done giving him drink, she said, I will draw water for thy camels also, until they have done drinking.
After she had given him a drink, she said, “I will also draw water for your camels, until they have had enough to drink.”
And she hasted, and
emptied her pitcher into the

camels.”
And the man came into the house: and he
ungirded his
camels, and gave straw and
provender for the
camels, and water to wash his feet, and the men’s feet that were with him.
So the man came to the house, and the camels were unloaded. Straw and feed were brought to the camels, and water to wash his feet and the feet of his companions.

And she made
haste, and let down her pitcher from her shoulder, and said, Drink, and I will give thy
camels drink also: so I
drank, and she made the
camels drink also.
She quickly lowered her
jar from her shoulder and said, ‘Drink, and I will water your
camels as well.’ So I
drank, and she also watered the
camels.
And
Rebekah arose, and her damsels, and they
rode upon the
camels, and followed the man: and the servant took
Rebekah, and went his way.

Rebekah and her servant girls got ready, mounted the

Rebekah and left.

asses, upon the
camels, upon the oxen, and upon the sheep: there shall be a very
grievous murrain.

livestock in the field—on your horses,
donkeys,

Nevertheless these shall ye not eat of them that
chew the
cud, or of them that divide the
hoof: as the
camel, because he cheweth the
cud, but divideth not the
hoof; he is unclean unto you.
But of those that only
chew the
cud or only have a divided
hoof, you are not to eat the following: The
camel, though it chews the
cud, does not have a divided
hoof; it is unclean for you.
Nevertheless these ye shall not eat of them that
chew the
cud, or of them that divide the
cloven hoof; as the
camel, and the
hare, and the
coney: for they
chew the
cud, but divide not the
hoof; therefore they are unclean unto you.
But of those that
chew the
cud or have a completely divided
hoof, you are not to eat the following: the
camel, the
rabbit, or the rock
badger.
For they came up with their cattle and their tents, and they came as grasshoppers for multitude; for both they and their camels were without number: and they entered into the land to destroy it.
For the Midianites came with their
livestock and their tents like a great
swarm of locusts. They and their
camels were innumerable, and they entered the land to
ravage it.
And the Midianites and the
Amalekites and all the children of the east lay along in the valley like grasshoppers for multitude; and their
camels were without number, as the sand by the sea side for multitude.
Now the Midianites,
Amalekites, and all the other people of the east had settled in the valley like a
swarm of locusts, and their
camels were as countless as the sand on the
seashore.
Then Zebah and Zalmunna said, Rise thou, and fall upon us: for as the man is, so is his strength. And
Gideon arose, and
slew Zebah and Zalmunna, and took away the ornaments that were on their
camels’ necks.
Then Zebah and Zalmunna said, “Get up and kill us
yourself, for as the man is, so is his strength.” So
Gideon got up and killed Zebah and Zalmunna, and he took the
crescent ornaments from the necks of their
camels.
And the weight of the golden earrings that he requested was a thousand and seven hundred shekels of gold; beside ornaments, and collars, and purple
raiment that was on the kings of
Midian, and beside the chains that were about their
camels’ necks.
The weight of the gold earrings he had requested was 1,700 shekels, in addition to the
crescent ornaments, the pendants, the purple garments of the kings of
Midian, and the chains from the necks of their
camels.
Now go and
smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and
spare them not; but
slay both man and woman, infant and
suckling, ox and sheep,
camel and
ass.
Now go and attack the
Amalekites and
devote to destruction all that belongs to them. Do not
spare them, but put to death men and women, children and infants, oxen and sheep,
camels and
donkeys.’”
And David
smote the land, and left neither man nor woman alive, and took away the sheep, and the oxen, and the
asses, and the
camels, and the
apparel, and returned, and came to Achish.

donkeys,
camels, and clothing. Then he would return to Achish,
And David
smote them from the
twilight even unto the evening of the next day: and there escaped not a man of them, save four hundred young men, which
rode upon
camels, and fled.
And David struck them down from
twilight until the evening of the next day. Not a man escaped, except four hundred young men who fled, riding off on
camels.
And she came to Jerusalem with a very great train, with camels that bare spices, and very much gold, and precious stones: and when she was come to Solomon, she communed with him of all that was in her heart.
She arrived in Jerusalem with a very large
caravan—with
camels bearing spices, gold in great abundance, and precious stones. So she came to Solomon and spoke to him all that was on her mind.
So
Hazael went to meet him, and took a present with him, even of every good thing of Damascus, forty
camels’ burden, and came and stood before him, and said, Thy son Ben-
hadad king of Syria hath sent me to thee, saying, Shall I recover of this disease?
So
Hazael went to meet
Elisha, taking with him a gift of forty
camel loads of every good thing from Damascus. And he went in and stood before him and said, “Your son Ben-
hadad king of
Aram has sent me to ask, ‘Will I recover from this illness?’”
And they took away their cattle; of their
camels fifty thousand, and of sheep two hundred and fifty thousand, and of
asses two thousand, and of men an hundred thousand.
They seized the
livestock of the Hagrites—50,000
camels, 250,000 sheep, and 2,000
donkeys. They also took 100,000
captives,
Moreover they that were
nigh them, even unto
Issachar and
Zebulun and
Naphtali, brought bread on
asses, and on
camels, and on mules, and on oxen, and meat, meal, cakes of figs, and bunches of
raisins, and wine, and oil, and oxen, and sheep abundantly: for there was joy in Israel.
And their neighbors from as far away as
Issachar,
Zebulun, and
Naphtali came bringing food on
donkeys,
camels, mules, and oxen—abundant supplies of flour, fig cakes and
raisin cakes, wine and oil, oxen and sheep. Indeed, there was joy in Israel.
Over the
camels also was Obil the
Ishmaelite: and over the
asses was Jehdeiah the Meronothite:
Obil the
Ishmaelite was in charge of the
camels. Jehdeiah the Meronothite was in charge of the
donkeys.
And when the queen of
Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon, she came to prove Solomon with hard questions at Jerusalem, with a very great company, and
camels that bare spices, and gold in abundance, and precious stones: and when she was come to Solomon, she communed with him of all that was in her heart.
Now when the queen of
Sheba heard about the fame of Solomon, she came to test him with difficult questions. She arrived in Jerusalem with a very large
caravan—with
camels bearing spices, gold in abundance, and precious stones. So she came to Solomon and spoke with him about all that was on her mind.
They

Their
camels, four hundred thirty and five; their
asses, six thousand seven hundred and twenty.
Their
camels, four hundred thirty and five: six thousand seven hundred and twenty
asses.
And he wrote in the king
Ahasuerus’ name, and sealed it with the king’s ring, and sent letters by posts on
horseback, and riders on mules,
camels, and young
dromedaries:
Mordecai wrote in the name of King
Xerxes and sealed it with the royal
signet ring. He sent the documents by mounted couriers riding on swift horses
bred from the royal mares.
So the posts that
rode upon mules and
camels went out, being
hastened and pressed on by the king’s commandment. And the decree was given at
Shushan the palace.
The couriers
rode out in
haste on their royal horses, pressed on by the command of the king. And the edict was also issued in the citadel of
Susa.
His substance also was seven thousand sheep, and three thousand
camels, and five hundred yoke of oxen, and five hundred she
asses, and a very great household; so that this man was the greatest of all the men of the east.
and he owned 7,000 sheep, 3,000
camels, 500 yoke of oxen, 500 female
donkeys, and a very large number of servants. Job was the greatest man of all the people of the East.
While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The Chaldeans made out three bands, and fell upon the
camels, and have carried them away,
yea, and slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.
While he was still speaking, another
messenger came and reported: “The Chaldeans formed three bands,
raided the
camels, and took them away. They put the servants to the sword, and I alone have escaped to tell you!”
So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand
camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she
asses.
So the LORD blessed Job’s latter days more than his first. He owned 14,000 sheep, 6,000
camels, 1,000 yoke of oxen, and 1,000 female
donkeys.
The burden of the beasts of the south: into the land of trouble and
anguish, from whence come the young and old lion, the
viper and
fiery flying serpent, they will carry their riches upon the shoulders of young
asses, and their treasures upon the bunches of
camels, to a people that shall not profit them.
This is the burden against the beasts of the Negev: Through a land of
hardship and distress, of
lioness and lion, of
viper and flying serpent, they carry their wealth on the backs of
donkeys and their treasures on the humps of
camels, to a people of no profit to them.
The multitude of
camels shall cover thee, the
dromedaries of
Midian and
Ephah; all they from
Sheba shall come: they shall bring gold and incense; and they shall
shew forth the praises of the LORD.
And they shall bring all your brethren for an offering unto the LORD out of all nations upon horses, and in
chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift beasts, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, saith the LORD, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD.
And they will bring all your brothers from all the nations as a gift to the LORD on horses and
chariots and wagons, on mules and
camels, to My holy mountain Jerusalem,” says the LORD, “just as the Israelites bring an offering in a clean vessel to the house of the LORD.”
How canst thou say, I am not
polluted, I have not gone after
Baalim? see thy way in the valley, know what thou hast done: thou art a swift
dromedary traversing her ways;
“How can you say, ‘I am not
defiled; I have not run after the Baals’? Look at your
behavior in the valley; acknowledge what you have done. You are a swift young she-
camel galloping here and there,
Their tents and their flocks shall they take away: they shall take to themselves their curtains, and all their vessels, and their camels; and they shall cry unto them, Fear is on every side.
They will take their tents and flocks, their tent curtains and all their goods. They will take their
camels for themselves. They will
shout to them: ‘Terror is on every side!’
And their
camels shall be a
booty, and the multitude of their cattle a
spoil: and I will
scatter into all winds them that are in the utmost corners; and I will bring their
calamity from all sides thereof, saith the LORD.
Their
camels will become
plunder, and their large herds will be
spoil. I will
scatter to the wind in every direction those who
shave their temples; I will bring
calamity on them from all sides,” declares the LORD.
And I will make Rabbah a stable for
camels, and the
Ammonites a couchingplace for flocks: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
I will make Rabbah a pasture for
camels, and
Ammon a resting place for sheep. Then you will know that I am the LORD.’
And so shall be the plague of the horse, of the
mule, of the
camel, and of the
ass, and of all the beasts that shall be in these tents, as this plague.
And a similar plague will strike the horses and mules,
camels and
donkeys, and all the animals in those camps.
And the same John had his
raiment of
camel’s hair, and a
leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey.
John
wore a garment of
camel’s hair, with a leather belt around his
waist. His food was locusts and wild honey.
And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”
Ye blind guides, which strain at a
gnat, and
swallow a
camel.
You blind guides! You strain out a
gnat but
swallow a
camel.
And John was clothed with
camel’s hair, and with a
girdle of a skin about his loins; and he did eat locusts and wild honey;
John was clothed in
camel’s hair, with a leather belt around his
waist. His food was locusts and wild honey.
It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”
For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle’s eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
Indeed, it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”
Four hundred thirty and five camels, seven thousand thirty and six horses, two hundred forty and five mules, five thousand five hundred twenty and five beasts used to the yoke.
And dung of men unto the
camel’s
hough.
Brother Azarias, take with thee a servant, and two
camels, and go to Rages of Media to Gabael, and bring me the money, and bring him to the
wedding.
And he took
camels and
asses for their carriages, a very great number; and sheep and oxen and goats without number for their provision:
