shake terribly the earth.

splendor of His majesty, when He rises to
shake the earth.

create upon every dwelling place of mount
Zion, and upon her
assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the
shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the
glory shall be a defence.

create over all of Mount
Zion and over her
assemblies a cloud of smoke by day and a
glowing flame of fire by night. For over all the
glory there will be a
canopy,

hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their
glory, and their multitude, and their
pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it.

visitation, and in the
desolation which shall come from far? to whom will ye
flee for help? and where will ye leave your
glory?

reckoning when
devastation comes from
afar? To whom will you
flee for help? Where will you leave your wealth?
Wherefore it shall come to pass, that when the Lord hath performed his whole work upon mount
Zion and on Jerusalem, I will
punish the fruit of the
stout heart of the king of Assyria, and the
glory of his high looks.

Zion and Jerusalem, He will say, “I will
punish the king of Assyria for the fruit of his
arrogant heart and the proud look in his eyes.

leanness; and under his
glory he shall
kindle a burning like the burning of a fire.

stout warriors, and under his
pomp will be
kindled a fire like a burning flame.

consume the

glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees’

hireling, and the
glory of Moab shall be
contemned, with all that great multitude; and the
remnant shall be very small and feeble.

hired worker counts the years, Moab’s

remnant of Syria: they shall be as the
glory of the children of Israel, saith the LORD of hosts.

remnant of
Aram will be like the
splendor of the Israelites,” declares the LORD of Hosts.

glory of
Kedar will be gone.

toss thee like a ball into a large country: there shalt thou die, and there the

chariots will remain—a disgrace to the house of your master.

fasten him as a
nail in a sure place; and he shall be for a glorious throne to his father’s house.

peg into a firm place, and he will be a throne of
glory for the house of his father.
And they shall
hang upon him all the
glory of his father’s house, the offspring and the issue, all vessels of small quantity, from the vessels of cups, even to all the vessels of flagons.

hang on him all the
glory of his father’s house: the descendants and the offshoots—all the lesser vessels, from
bowls to every kind of
jar.
The LORD of hosts hath purposed it, to
stain the pride of all
glory, and to bring into contempt all the honourable of the earth.

planned it, to
defile all its glorious beauty, to disgrace all the
renowned of the earth.
Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun
ashamed, when the LORD of hosts shall reign in mount
Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously.

ashamed; for the LORD of Hosts will reign on Mount
Zion and in Jerusalem, and before His elders with great
glory.
Thou hast increased the nation, O LORD, thou hast increased the nation: thou art
glorified: thou hadst removed it far unto all the ends of the earth.

glory for
Yourself; You have extended all the borders of the land.
In that day shall the LORD of hosts be for a crown of
glory, and for a
diadem of beauty, unto the residue of his people,
On that day the LORD of Hosts will be a crown of
glory, a
diadem of
splendor to the
remnant of His people,
And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
And the glory of the LORD will be revealed, and all humanity together will see it. For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.”
The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the
goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field:
A voice says, “Cry out!” And I asked, “What should I cry out?” “All flesh is like grass, and all its glory like the flowers of the field.
Thou shalt
fan them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the
whirlwind shall
scatter them: and thou shalt
rejoice in the LORD, and shalt
glory in the Holy One of Israel.
You will
winnow them, and a wind will carry them away; a
gale will
scatter them. But you will
rejoice in the LORD; you will
glory in the Holy One of Israel.

glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to
graven images.

glory, I have formed him;
yea, I have made him.
everyone called by My name and created for My
glory, whom I have indeed formed and made.”
The
carpenter stretcheth out his rule; he marketh it out with a line; he fitteth it with planes, and he marketh it out with the compass, and maketh it after the figure of a man, according to the beauty of a man; that it may remain in the house.
The woodworker extends a measuring line; he marks it out with a
stylus; he shapes it with chisels and outlines it with a compass. He fashions it in the likeness of man, like man in all his
glory, that it may dwell in a
shrine.
Sing, O ye heavens; for the LORD hath done it:
shout, ye lower parts of the earth: break forth into singing, ye mountains, O forest, and every tree therein: for the LORD hath redeemed Jacob, and
glorified himself in Israel.
Sing for joy, O heavens, for the LORD has done this;
shout aloud, O depths of the earth. Break forth in song, O mountains, you forests and all your trees. For the LORD has redeemed Jacob, and revealed His
glory in Israel.

tarry: and I will place salvation in
Zion for Israel my
glory.
I am bringing My righteousness near; it is not far away, and My salvation will not be delayed. I will grant salvation to
Zion and
adorn Israel with My
splendor.
For mine own sake, even for mine own sake, will I do it: for how should my name be
polluted? and I will not give my
glory unto another.
For My own sake, My very own sake, I will act; for how can I let Myself be
defamed? I will not yield My
glory to another.
And said unto me, Thou art my servant, O Israel, in whom I will be
glorified.

glorified thee.

summon a nation you do not know, and nations who do not know you will run to you. For the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, has bestowed
glory on you.”
Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward.
Then your light will break forth like the
dawn, and your
healing will come quickly. Your righteousness will go before you, and the
glory of the LORD will be your rear guard.
So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.
So shall they fear the name of the LORD where the sun sets, and His
glory where it rises. For He will come like a
raging flood, driven by the breath of the LORD.
Arise,
shine; for thy light is come, and the
glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.
Arise,
shine, for your light has come, and the
glory of the LORD rises upon you.
For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
For behold, darkness covers the earth, and thick darkness is over the peoples; but the LORD will rise upon you, and His glory will appear over you.
All the flocks of
Kedar shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto thee: they shall come up with acceptance on mine altar, and I will
glorify the house of my
glory.
All the flocks of
Kedar will be gathered to you; the rams of Nebaioth will serve you and go up on My altar with acceptance; I will
adorn My glorious house.
The
glory of
Lebanon shall come unto thee, the
fir tree, the pine tree, and the box together, to
beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious.
The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an
everlasting light, and thy God thy
glory.
No longer will the sun be your light by day, nor the brightness of the moon
shine on your night; for the LORD will be your
everlasting light, and your God will be your
splendor.
But ye shall be named the Priests of the LORD: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their
glory shall ye
boast yourselves.
But you will be called the priests of the LORD; they will speak of you as ministers of our God; you will feed on the wealth of nations, and you will
boast in their riches.
And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name.
Nations will see your righteousness, and all kings your
glory. You will be called by a new name that the mouth of the LORD will
bestow.
Thou shalt also be a crown of
glory in the hand of the LORD, and a royal
diadem in the hand of thy God.
You will be a crown of
glory in the hand of the LORD, a royal
diadem in the palm of your God.
Look down from heaven, and behold from the
habitation of thy
holiness and of thy
glory: where is thy zeal and thy strength, the sounding of thy
bowels and of thy
mercies toward me? are they restrained?
Look down from heaven and see, from Your holy and glorious
habitation. Where are Your zeal and might? Your
yearning and
compassion for me are restrained.
That ye may
suck, and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; that ye may milk out, and be delighted with the abundance of her
glory.
so that you may
nurse and be satisfied at her comforting breasts; you may drink deeply and delight
yourselves in her glorious abundance.
For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the
glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: then shall ye
suck, ye shall be borne upon her sides, and be
dandled upon her knees.
For this is what the LORD says: “I will extend peace to her like a river, and the wealth of nations like a flowing stream; you will
nurse and be carried on her arm, and
bounced upon her knees.
For I know their works and their thoughts: it shall come, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory.
“And I, knowing their deeds and thoughts, am coming to gather all nations and tongues, and they will come and see My glory.
And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them unto the nations, to
Tarshish,
Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to
Tubal, and
Javan, to the isles
afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my
glory; and they shall declare my
glory among the Gentiles.
I will establish a sign among them, and I will send survivors from among them to the nations—to
Tarshish, Put, and the archers of Lud; to
Tubal,
Javan, and the islands far away who have not heard of My fame or seen My
glory. So they will
proclaim My
glory among the nations.
Hath a nation changed their gods, which are yet no gods? but my people have changed their
glory for that which
doth not profit.
Has a nation ever changed its gods, though they are no gods at all? Yet My people have exchanged their Glory for useless idols.
And thou shalt
swear, The LORD liveth, in truth, in judgment, and in righteousness; and the nations shall
bless themselves in him, and in him shall they
glory.
and if you can
swear, ‘As surely as the LORD lives,’ in truth, in justice, and in righteousness, then the nations will be blessed by Him, and in Him they will
glory.”
Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches:
This is what the LORD says: “Let not the wise man
boast in his wisdom, nor the strong man in his strength, nor the wealthy man in his riches.
But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD.
But let him who boasts
boast in this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the LORD, who exercises loving devotion, justice and righteousness on the earth— for I delight in these things,” declares the LORD.
For as the
girdle cleaveth to the loins of a man, so have I caused to
cleave unto me the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah, saith the LORD; that they might be unto me for a people, and for a name, and for a praise, and for a
glory: but they would not hear.
For just as a loincloth clings to a man’s
waist, so I have made the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah
cling to Me, declares the LORD, so that they might be My people for My
renown and praise and
glory. But they did not
listen.
Give
glory to the LORD your God, before he cause darkness, and before your feet
stumble upon the dark mountains, and, while ye look for light, he turn it into the shadow of death, and make it gross darkness.
Give
glory to the LORD your God before He brings darkness, before your feet
stumble on the
dusky mountains. You wait for light, but He turns it into deep
gloom and thick darkness.
Say unto the king and to the queen, Humble
yourselves, sit down: for your
principalities shall come down, even the crown of your
glory.
Say to the king and to the queen mother: “Take a lowly seat, for your glorious crowns have fallen from your heads.”
Do not
abhor us, for thy name’s sake, do not disgrace the throne of thy
glory: remember, break not thy covenant with us.
For the sake of Your name do not
despise us; do not disgrace Your glorious throne. Remember Your covenant with us; do not break it.
Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning
Jehoiakim the son of
Josiah king of Judah; They shall not
lament for him, saying,
Ah my brother! or,
Ah sister! they shall not
lament for him, saying,
Ah lord! or,
Ah his
glory!
And it shall be to me a name of joy, a praise and an honour before all the nations of the earth, which shall hear all the good that I do unto them: and they shall fear and
tremble for all the goodness and for all the prosperity that I
procure unto it.
So this city will bring Me
renown, joy, praise, and
glory before all the nations of the earth, who will hear of all the good I do for it. They will
tremble in
awe because of all the goodness and prosperity that I will provide for it.
Thou daughter that
dost inhabit Dibon, come down from thy
glory, and sit in
thirst; for the
spoiler of Moab shall come upon thee, and he shall destroy thy strong holds.
Come down from your
glory; sit on
parched ground, O daughter dwelling in Dibon, for the destroyer of Moab has come against you; he has destroyed your fortresses.
How hath the Lord covered the daughter of
Zion with a cloud in his anger, and cast down from heaven unto the earth the beauty of Israel, and remembered not his
footstool in the day of his anger!
How the Lord has covered the Daughter of
Zion with the cloud of His anger! He has cast the
glory of Israel from heaven to earth. He has abandoned His
footstool in the day of His anger.
As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake.
The appearance of the brilliant light all around Him was like that of a
rainbow in a cloud on a
rainy day. This was the appearance of the likeness of the
glory of the LORD. And when I saw it, I fell facedown and heard a voice speaking.
Then the spirit took me up, and I heard behind me a voice of a great
rushing, saying, Blessed be the
glory of the LORD from his place.
Then the Spirit lifted me up, and I heard a great
rumbling sound behind me: ‘Blessed be the
glory of the LORD in His dwelling place!’
Then I arose, and went forth into the plain: and, behold, the
glory of the LORD stood there, as the
glory which I saw by the river of
Chebar: and I fell on my face.
So I got up and went out to the plain, and behold, the glory of the LORD was present there, like the glory I had seen by the River Kebar, and I fell facedown.
And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel was there, according to the vision that I saw in the plain.
And there I saw the glory of the God of Israel, like the vision I had seen in the plain.
And the
glory of the God of Israel was gone up from the
cherub,
whereupon he was, to the
threshold of the house. And he called to the man clothed with linen, which had the writer’s
inkhorn by his side;
Then the
glory of the God of Israel rose from above the
cherubim, where it had been, and moved to the
threshold of the temple. And He called to the man clothed in linen who had the writing
kit at his side.
Then the
glory of the LORD went up from the
cherub, and stood over the
threshold of the house; and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was full of the brightness of the LORD’S
glory.
Then the
glory of the LORD rose from above the
cherubim and stood over the
threshold of the temple. The temple was filled with the cloud, and the court was filled with the brightness of the
glory of the LORD.
Then the
glory of the LORD departed from off the
threshold of the house, and stood over the cherubims.
Then the
glory of the LORD moved away from the
threshold of the temple and stood above the
cherubim.
And the cherubims lifted up their wings, and mounted up from the earth in my sight: when they went out, the wheels also were beside them, and every one stood at the door of the east gate of the LORD’S house; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above.
As I watched, the
cherubim lifted their wings and rose up from the ground, with the wheels beside them as they went. And they stopped at the entrance of the east gate of the house of the LORD, with the
glory of the God of Israel above them.
Then did the cherubims lift up their wings, and the wheels beside them; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above.
Then the
cherubim, with the wheels beside them, spread their wings, and the
glory of the God of Israel was above them.
And the glory of the LORD went up from the midst of the city, and stood upon the mountain which is on the east side of the city.
And the glory of the LORD rose up from within the city and stood over the mountain east of the city.
In the day that I lifted up mine hand unto them, to bring them forth of the land of Egypt into a land that I had
espied for them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the
glory of all lands:
On that day I
swore to bring them out of the land of Egypt into a land that I had searched out for them, a land flowing with milk and honey, the
glory of all lands.
Yet also I lifted up my hand unto them in the wilderness, that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands;
Moreover, with an
uplifted hand I
swore to them in the wilderness that I would not bring them into the land that I had given them—a land flowing with milk and honey, the
glory of all lands—
Also, thou son of man, shall it not be in the day when I take from them their strength, the joy of their
glory, the desire of their eyes, and that
whereupon they set their minds, their sons and their daughters,
And you, son of man, know that on the day I take away their
stronghold, their pride and joy—the desire of their eyes which
uplifted their souls—and their sons and daughters as well,
