Rejoice ye in that day, and
leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is
great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.

leap for joy, because
great is your reward in heaven. For their fathers treated the prophets in the same way.
But love ye your enemies, and do good, and
lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be
great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the
unthankful and to the evil.
But love your enemies, do good to them, and
lend to them, expecting nothing in return. Then your reward will be
great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He is kind to the
ungrateful and wicked.
But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat

torrent crashed against that house, and immediately it fell—and
great was its destruction!”

astonished at the

whoever welcomes Me welcomes the One who sent Me. For
whoever is the least among all of you, he is the
greatest.”

Woe unto thee, Chorazin!
woe unto thee,
Bethsaida! for if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and
Sidon, which have been done in you, they had a
great while ago
repented, sitting in
sackcloth and ashes.
Woe to you, Chorazin!
Woe to you,
Bethsaida! For if the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Tyre and
Sidon, they would have
repented long ago, sitting in
sackcloth and ashes.

condemn them: for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a
greater than Solomon is here.

condemn them; for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and now One
greater than Solomon is here.

condemn it; for they
repented at the preaching of
Jonah, and now One

It is like a grain of
mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a

compassion. He ran to his son, embraced him, and
kissed him.
And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.
And besides all this, a
great chasm has been fixed between us and you, so that even those who wish cannot cross from here to you, nor can
anyone cross from there to us.’

He that hath the
bride is the
bridegroom: but the friend of the
bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth
greatly because of the
bridegroom’s voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.

bridegroom. The friend of the
bridegroom stands and listens for him, and is overjoyed to hear the
bridegroom’s voice. That joy is mine, and it is now complete.

greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and

livestock?”

greater works than these.
But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me.

accomplish—the very works I am doing—
testify about Me that the Father has sent Me.

Verily,
verily, I say unto you, The servant is not
greater than his lord; neither he that is sent
greater than he that sent him.
Truly, truly, I tell you, no servant is
greater than his master, nor is a
messenger greater than the one who sent him.
Verily,
verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and
greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
Truly, truly, I tell you,
whoever believes in Me will also do the works that I am doing. He will do even
greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.

greater than his master.’ If they
persecuted Me, they will
persecute you as well; if they kept My word, they will keep yours as well.

So that not only this our craft is in danger to be set at
nought; but also that the temple of the
great goddess
Diana should be
despised, and her
magnificence should be destroyed, whom all Asia and the world worshippeth.
There is danger not only that our business will fall into
disrepute, but also that the temple of the
great goddess Artemis will be discredited and her majesty
deposed—she who is worshiped by all the province of Asia and the whole world.”

Great is Artemis of the
Ephesians!”

appeased the people, he said, Ye men of Ephesus, what man is there that knoweth not how that the city of the
Ephesians is a worshipper of the
great goddess
Diana, and of the image which fell down from Jupiter?

everyone know that the city of Ephesus is
guardian of the temple of the
great Artemis and of her image, which fell from heaven?
