These are the statutes and judgments and laws, which the LORD made between
him and the children of Israel in mount
Sinai by the hand of Moses.
These are the statutes, ordinances, and laws that the LORD established between
Himself and the Israelites through Moses on Mount
Sinai.
But if he be poorer than thy
estimation, then he shall present
himself before the priest, and the priest shall value
him; according to his ability that
vowed shall the priest value
him.
But if the one making the
vow is too poor to pay the
valuation, he is to present the person before the priest, who shall set the value according to what the one making the
vow can afford.
And if he that
sanctified it will
redeem his house, then he shall add the fifth part of the money of thy
estimation unto it, and it shall be his.
But if he who consecrated his house redeems it, he must add a fifth to the
assessed value, and it will belong to
him.
But if he
sanctify his field after the jubile, then the priest shall
reckon unto
him the money according to the years that remain, even unto the year of the jubile, and it shall be
abated from thy
estimation.
But if he consecrates his field after the
Jubilee, the priest is to
calculate the price in proportion to the years left until the next Year of
Jubilee, so that your
valuation will be reduced.
And if he that
sanctified the field will in any wise
redeem it, then he shall add the fifth part of the money of thy
estimation unto it, and it shall be
assured to
him.
And if the one who consecrated the field decides to
redeem it, he must add a fifth to the
assessed value, and it shall belong to
him.
Then the priest shall
reckon unto
him the worth of thy
estimation, even unto the year of the jubile: and he shall give thine
estimation in that day, as a holy thing unto the LORD.
then the priest shall
calculate for
him the value up to the Year of
Jubilee, and the man shall pay the
assessed value on that day as a sacred offering to the LORD.
In the year of the jubile the field shall return unto him of whom it was bought, even to him to whom the possession of the land did belong.
In the Year of
Jubilee the field shall return to the one from whom it was bought—the original owner of the land.
And those that do pitch next unto
him shall be the tribe of
Issachar: and Nethaneel the son of Zuar shall be captain of the children of
Issachar.
The tribe of
Issachar will camp next to it. The leader of the Issacharites is Nethanel son of Zuar,
And those which pitch by
him shall be the tribe of
Simeon: and the captain of the children of
Simeon shall be Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.
The tribe of
Simeon will camp next to it. The leader of the Simeonites is Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai,
And by
him shall be the tribe of
Manasseh: and the captain of the children of
Manasseh shall be
Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.
The tribe of
Manasseh will be next to it. The leader of the Manassites is
Gamaliel son of Pedahzur,
And those that
encamp by
him shall be the tribe of Asher: and the captain of the children of Asher shall be Pagiel the son of Ocran.
The tribe of Asher will camp next to it. The leader of the Asherites is Pagiel son of Ocran,
Bring the tribe of Levi near, and present them before Aaron the priest, that they may minister unto him.
“Bring the tribe of Levi and present them to Aaron the priest to assist him.
And they shall keep his charge, and the charge of the whole congregation before the tabernacle of the congregation, to do the service of the tabernacle.
They are to perform duties for him and for the whole congregation before the Tent of Meeting, attending to the service of the tabernacle.
And thou shalt give the Levites unto Aaron and to his sons: they are wholly given unto him out of the children of Israel.
Assign the Levites to Aaron and his sons; they have been given exclusively to
him from among the Israelites.
And Moses numbered, as the LORD commanded
him, all the
firstborn among the children of Israel.
So Moses numbered all the
firstborn of the Israelites, as the LORD had commanded
him.
And Moses gave the money of them that were redeemed unto Aaron and to his sons, according to the word of the LORD, as the LORD commanded Moses.
And Moses gave the
redemption money to Aaron and his sons in obedience to the word of the LORD, just as the LORD had commanded
him.
According to the commandment of the LORD they were numbered by the hand of Moses, every one according to his service, and according to his burden: thus were they numbered of him, as the LORD commanded Moses.
At the LORD’s command they were numbered through Moses and each one was assigned his work and burden, as the LORD had commanded Moses.
Then they shall
confess their sin which they have done: and he shall
recompense his
trespass with the principal thereof, and add unto it the fifth part thereof, and give it unto
him against whom he hath
trespassed.
and must
confess the sin he has committed. He must make full
restitution, add a fifth to its value, and give all this to the one he has wronged.
But if the man has no relative to whom
restitution can be made for the wrong, the
restitution belongs to the LORD and must be given to the priest along with the ram of
atonement, by which the
atonement is made for
him.
And every offering of all the holy things of the children of Israel, which they bring unto the priest, shall be his.
Every sacred contribution the Israelites bring to the priest shall belong to him.
Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, If any man’s wife go aside, and commit a
trespass against
him,
“Speak to the Israelites and tell them that if any man’s wife goes
astray and is unfaithful to
him And the spirit of jealousy come upon
him, and he be
jealous of his wife, and she be
defiled: or if the spirit of jealousy come upon
him, and he be
jealous of his wife, and she be not
defiled:
and if a feeling of jealousy comes over her husband and he suspects his wife who has
defiled herself—or if a feeling of jealousy comes over
him and he suspects her even though she has not
defiled herself—
Or when the spirit of jealousy cometh upon
him, and he be
jealous over his wife, and shall set the woman before the LORD, and the priest shall
execute upon her all this law.
or when a feeling of jealousy comes over a husband and he suspects his wife. He is to have the woman stand before the LORD, and the priest is to apply to her this entire law.
Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When either man or woman shall separate themselves to
vow a
vow of a
Nazarite, to separate themselves unto the LORD:
“Speak to the Israelites and tell them that if a man or woman makes a special
vow, the
vow of a
Nazirite, to separate
himself to the LORD,
He shall separate
himself from wine and strong drink, and shall drink no
vinegar of wine, or
vinegar of strong drink, neither shall he drink any liquor of grapes, nor eat moist grapes, or dried.
he is to
abstain from wine and strong drink. He must not drink
vinegar made from wine or strong drink, and he must not drink any
grape juice or eat fresh grapes or
raisins.
All the days of the
vow of his separation there shall no
razor come upon his head: until the days be fulfilled, in the which he separateth
himself unto the LORD, he shall be holy, and shall let the locks of the hair of his head grow.
For the entire period of his
vow of separation, no
razor shall pass over his head. He must be holy until the time of his separation to the LORD is complete; he must let the hair of his head grow long.
All the days that he separateth himself unto the LORD he shall come at no dead body.
Throughout the days of his separation to the LORD, he must not go near a dead body.
He shall not make
himself unclean for his father, or for his mother, for his brother, or for his sister, when they die: because the
consecration of his God is upon his head.
Even if his father or mother or brother or sister should die, he is not to
defile himself, because the crown of
consecration to his God is upon his head.
If someone suddenly dies in his presence and defiles his consecrated head of hair, he must
shave his head on the day of his
cleansing—the seventh day.
And the priest shall offer the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering, and make an
atonement for
him, for that he
sinned by the dead, and shall
hallow his head that same day.
And the priest is to offer one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering to make
atonement for
him, because he has
sinned by being in the presence of the dead body. On that day he must
consecrate his head again.
And when Moses was gone into the tabernacle of the congregation to speak with him, then he heard the voice of one speaking unto him from off the mercy seat that was upon the ark of testimony, from between the two cherubims: and he spake unto him.
When Moses entered the Tent of Meeting to speak with the LORD, he heard the voice speaking to
him from between the two
cherubim above the mercy seat on the ark of the Testimony. Thus the LORD spoke to
him.
Speak unto Aaron, and say unto
him, When thou lightest the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light over against the
candlestick.
“Speak to Aaron and tell him: ‘When you set up the seven lamps, they are to light the area in front of the lampstand.’”
And those men said unto
him, We are
defiled by the dead body of a man: wherefore are we kept back, that we may not offer an offering of the LORD in his appointed season among the children of Israel?
and said to Moses, “We are unclean because of a dead body, but why should we be excluded from presenting the LORD’s offering with the other Israelites at the appointed time?”
And if a stranger shall
sojourn among you, and will keep the
passover unto the LORD; according to the
ordinance of the
passover, and according to the manner thereof, so shall he do: ye shall have one
ordinance, both for the stranger, and for
him that was born in the land.
If a foreigner dwelling among you wants to observe the
Passover to the LORD, he is to do so according to the
Passover statute and its ordinances. You are to apply the same statute to both the foreigner and the native of the land.’”
And he said unto him, I will not go; but I will depart to mine own land, and to my kindred.
“I will not go,” Hobab replied. “Instead, I am going back to my own land and my own people.”
But even a whole month, until it come out at your nostrils, and it be
loathsome unto you: because that ye have
despised the LORD which is among you, and have
wept before
him, saying, Why came we forth out of Egypt?
but for a whole month—until it comes out of your nostrils and makes you
nauseous—because you have rejected the LORD, who is among you, and have
cried out before
Him, saying, ‘Why did we ever leave Egypt?’”
And the LORD came down in a cloud, and spake unto
him, and took of the spirit that was upon
him, and gave it unto the seventy elders: and it came to pass, that, when the spirit rested upon them, they
prophesied, and did not cease.
Then the LORD came down in the cloud and spoke to
him, and He took some of the Spirit that was on Moses and placed that Spirit on the seventy elders. As the Spirit rested on them, they
prophesied—but they never did so again.
And Moses said unto him, Enviest thou for my sake? would God that all the LORD’S people were prophets, and that the LORD would put his spirit upon them!
But Moses replied, “Are you
jealous on my account? I wish that all the LORD’s people were prophets and that the LORD would place His Spirit on them!”
And Moses
gat him into the camp, he and the elders of Israel.
Then Moses returned to the camp, along with the elders of Israel.
And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream.
He said, “Hear now My words: If there is a prophet among you, I, the LORD, will
reveal Myself to
him in a vision; I will speak to
him in a dream.
With
him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the
similitude of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?
I speak with
him face to face, clearly and not in
riddles; he sees the form of the LORD. Why then were you unafraid to speak against My servant Moses?”
And they told
him, and said, We came unto the land
whither thou sentest us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it.
And they gave this account to Moses: “We went into the land to which you sent us, and indeed, it is flowing with milk and honey. Here is some of its fruit!
But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.
But the men who had gone up with him replied, “We cannot go up against the people, for they are stronger than we are!”
But my servant
Caleb, because he had another spirit with
him, and hath followed me fully,
him will I bring into the land
whereinto he went; and his seed shall possess it.
But because My servant
Caleb has a different spirit and has followed Me wholeheartedly, I will bring
him into the land he has entered, and his descendants will
inherit it.
And the men, which Moses sent to search the land, who returned, and made all the congregation to
murmur against
him, by bringing up a
slander upon the land,
So the men Moses had sent to
spy out the land, who had returned and made the whole congregation
grumble against
him by bringing out a bad report about the land—
And the priest shall make an
atonement for the soul that sinneth ignorantly, when he sinneth by ignorance before the LORD, to make an
atonement for
him; and it shall be
forgiven him.
Ye shall have one law for him that sinneth through ignorance, both for him that is born among the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them.
You shall have the same law for the one who acts in error, whether he is a native-born
Israelite or a foreigner residing among you.
Because he hath
despised the word of the LORD, and hath broken his commandment, that soul shall utterly be cut off; his iniquity shall be upon
him.
He shall certainly be cut off, because he has
despised the word of the LORD and broken His commandment; his guilt remains on
him.”
And they that found him gathering sticks brought him unto Moses and Aaron, and unto all the congregation.
Those who found the man gathering wood brought him to Moses, Aaron, and the whole congregation,
And they put him in ward, because it was not declared what should be done to him.
and because it had not been declared what should be done to
him, they placed
him in
custody.
And the LORD said unto Moses, The man shall be surely put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones without the camp.
And the LORD said to Moses, “The man must surely be put to death. The whole congregation is to stone him outside the camp.”
And all the congregation brought him without the camp, and stoned him with stones, and he died; as the LORD commanded Moses.
So the whole congregation took the man outside the camp and stoned him to death, as the LORD had commanded Moses.
And he spake unto
Korah and unto all his company, saying, Even to
morrow the LORD will
shew who are his, and who is holy; and will cause
him to come near unto
him: even
him whom he hath chosen will he cause to come near unto
him.
Then he said to
Korah and all his followers, “
Tomorrow morning the LORD will
reveal who belongs to
Him and who is holy, and He will bring that person near to
Himself. The one He chooses, He will bring near to
Himself.
Seemeth it but a small thing unto you, that the God of Israel hath separated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to himself to do the service of the tabernacle of the LORD, and to stand before the congregation to minister unto them?
Is it not enough for you that the God of Israel has separated you from the congregation of Israel and brought you near to Himself to perform the work at the LORD’s tabernacle, and to stand before the congregation to minister to them?
And he hath brought thee near to him, and all thy brethren the sons of Levi with thee: and seek ye the priesthood also?
He has brought you near, you and all your fellow Levites, but you are seeking the priesthood as well.
For which cause both thou and all thy company are gathered together against the LORD: and what is Aaron, that ye
murmur against
him?
Therefore, it is you and all your followers who have
conspired against the LORD! As for Aaron, who is he that you should
grumble against
him?”
And Moses rose up and went unto Dathan and
Abiram; and the elders of Israel followed
him.
So Moses got up and went to Dathan and
Abiram, and the elders of Israel followed
him.
To be a
memorial unto the children of Israel, that no stranger, which is not of the seed of Aaron, come near to offer incense before the LORD; that he be not as
Korah, and as his company: as the LORD said to
him by the hand of Moses.
just as the LORD commanded
him through Moses. This was to be a reminder to the Israelites that no outsider who is not a
descendant of Aaron should approach to offer incense before the LORD, lest he become like
Korah and his followers.
And Moses spake unto the children of Israel, and every one of their princes gave
him a rod
apiece, for each prince one, according to their fathers’ houses, even twelve rods: and the rod of Aaron was among their rods.
So Moses spoke to the Israelites, and each of their leaders gave him a staff—one for each of the leaders of their tribes, twelve staffs in all. And Aaron’s staff was among them.
And Moses did so: as the LORD commanded him, so did he.
So Moses did as the LORD had commanded him.
He shall
purify himself with it on the third day, and on the seventh day he shall be clean: but if he
purify not
himself the third day, then the seventh day he shall not be clean.
He must
purify himself with the water on the third day and on the seventh day; then he will be clean. But if he does not
purify himself on the third and seventh days, he will not be clean.
Whosoever toucheth the dead body of any man that is dead, and purifieth not
himself, defileth the tabernacle of the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from Israel: because the water of separation was not
sprinkled upon
him, he shall be unclean; his uncleanness is yet upon
him.
Anyone who touches a human
corpse and fails to
purify himself defiles the tabernacle of the LORD. That person must be cut off from Israel. He remains unclean, because the water of
purification has not been
sprinkled on
him, and his uncleanness is still on
him.
And a clean person shall take
hyssop, and dip it in the water, and
sprinkle it upon the tent, and upon all the vessels, and upon the persons that were there, and upon
him that touched a bone, or one slain, or one dead, or a grave:
Then a man who is
ceremonially clean is to take some
hyssop, dip it in the water, and
sprinkle the tent, all the furnishings, and the people who were there. He is also to
sprinkle the one who touched a bone, a grave, or a person who has died or been slain.
And the clean person shall
sprinkle upon the unclean on the third day, and on the seventh day: and on the seventh day he shall
purify himself, and wash his clothes, and
bathe himself in water, and shall be clean at even.
The man who is
ceremonially clean is to
sprinkle the unclean person on the third day and on the seventh day. After he purifies the unclean person on the seventh day, the one being
cleansed must wash his clothes and
bathe in water, and that evening he will be clean.
But the man that shall be unclean, and shall not
purify himself, that soul shall be cut off from among the congregation, because he hath
defiled the sanctuary of the LORD: the water of separation hath not been
sprinkled upon
him; he is unclean.
But if a person who is unclean does not
purify himself, he will be cut off from the assembly, because he has
defiled the sanctuary of the LORD. The water of
purification has not been
sprinkled on
him; he is unclean.
And Moses took the rod from before the LORD, as he commanded him.
So Moses took the staff from the LORD’s presence, just as he had been commanded.
And
Edom said unto
him, Thou shalt not pass by me, lest I come out against thee with the sword.
But
Edom answered, “You may not travel through our land, or we will come out and
confront you with the sword.”
And the children of Israel said unto him, We will go by the high way: and if I and my cattle drink of thy water, then I will pay for it: I will only, without doing any thing else, go through on my feet.
“We will stay on the main road,” the Israelites replied, “and if we or our herds drink your water, we will pay for it. There will be no problem; only let us pass through on foot.”
And he said, Thou shalt not go through. And
Edom came out against
him with much people, and with a strong hand.
But
Edom insisted, “You may not pass through.” And they came out to
confront the Israelites with a large army and a strong hand.
Thus
Edom refused to give Israel passage through his border: wherefore Israel turned away from
him.
So
Edom refused to allow Israel to pass through their territory, and Israel turned away from them.
And when all the congregation saw that Aaron was dead, they
mourned for Aaron thirty days, even all the house of Israel.
When the whole congregation saw that Aaron had died, the entire house of Israel
mourned for
him thirty days.
And Israel
smote him with the edge of the sword, and possessed his land from
Arnon unto
Jabbok, even unto the children of
Ammon: for the border of the children of
Ammon was strong.
And Israel put
him to the sword and took possession of his land, from the
Arnon to the
Jabbok—but only up to the border of the
Ammonites, because it was fortified.
And the LORD said unto Moses, Fear
him not: for I have delivered
him into thy hand, and all his people, and his land; and thou shalt do to
him as thou
didst unto Sihon king of the
Amorites, which dwelt at
Heshbon.
But the LORD said to Moses, “Do not fear
him, for I have delivered
him into your hand, along with all his people and his land. Do to
him as you did to Sihon king of the
Amorites, who lived in
Heshbon.”
So they
smote him, and his sons, and all his people, until there was none left
him alive: and they possessed his land.
So they struck down
Og, along with his sons and his whole army, until no
remnant was left. And they took possession of his land.
He sent messengers therefore unto
Balaam the son of Beor to
Pethor, which is by the river of the land of the children of his people, to call
him, saying, Behold, there is a people come out from Egypt: behold, they cover the face of the earth, and they
abide over against me:
he sent messengers to
Balaam son of Beor at
Pethor, which is by the Euphrates in the land of his people. “Behold, a people has come out of Egypt,” said Balak. “They cover the face of the land and have settled next to me.
And the elders of Moab and the elders of
Midian departed with the rewards of
divination in their hand; and they came unto
Balaam, and spake unto
him the words of Balak.
The elders of Moab and
Midian departed with the fees for
divination in hand. They came to
Balaam and relayed to
him the words of Balak.
And they came to
Balaam, and said to
him, Thus saith Balak the son of Zippor, Let nothing, I pray thee, hinder thee from coming unto me:
They came to
Balaam and said, “This is what Balak son of Zippor says: ‘Please let nothing hinder you from coming to me,
And God came unto
Balaam at night, and said unto
him, If the men come to call thee, rise up, and go with them; but yet the word which I shall say unto thee, that shalt thou do.
That night God came to
Balaam and said, “Since these men have come to
summon you, get up and go with them, but you must only do what I tell you.”
And God’s anger was
kindled because he went: and the angel of the LORD stood in the way for an
adversary against
him. Now he was riding upon his
ass, and his two servants were with
him.
Then God’s anger was
kindled because
Balaam was going along, and the angel of the LORD stood in the road to
oppose him.
Balaam was riding his
donkey, and his two servants were with
him.
And the angel of the LORD said unto
him, Wherefore hast thou
smitten thine
ass these three times? behold, I went out to
withstand thee, because thy way is
perverse before me:
The angel of the LORD asked
him, “Why have you beaten your
donkey these three times? Behold, I have come out to
oppose you, because your way is
perverse before me.
And when Balak heard that
Balaam was come, he went out to meet
him unto a city of Moab, which is in the border of
Arnon, which is in the utmost coast.
When Balak heard that
Balaam was coming, he went out to meet
him at the
Moabite city on the
Arnon border, at the edge of his territory.
And Balak offered oxen and sheep, and sent to
Balaam, and to the princes that were with
him.
Balak sacrificed cattle and sheep, and he gave portions to
Balaam and the princes who were with
him.
And it came to pass on the
morrow, that Balak took
Balaam, and brought
him up into the high places of
Baal, that thence he might see the utmost part of the people.
The next morning, Balak took
Balaam and brought
him up to Bamoth-
baal. From there he could see the outskirts of the camp of the people.
And God met
Balaam: and he said unto
him, I have prepared seven altars, and I have offered upon every altar a
bullock and a ram.
and God met with
him. “I have set up seven altars,”
Balaam said, “and on each altar I have offered a bull and a ram.”
And the LORD put a word in
Balaam’s mouth, and said, Return unto Balak, and thus thou shalt speak.
Then the LORD put a message in
Balaam’s mouth, saying, “Return to Balak and give
him this message.”
And he returned unto him, and, lo, he stood by his burnt sacrifice, he, and all the princes of Moab.
So he returned to Balak, who was standing there beside his burnt offering, with all the princes of Moab.
For from the top of the rocks I see him, and from the hills I behold him: lo, the people shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations.
For I see them from
atop the rocky cliffs, and I watch them from the hills. Behold, a people dwelling apart, not
reckoning themselves among the nations.
And Balak said unto
him, Come, I pray thee, with me unto another place, from whence thou mayest see them: thou shalt see but the utmost part of them, and shalt not see them all: and
curse me them from thence.
Then Balak said to
him, “Please come with me to another place where you can see them. You will only see the outskirts of their camp—not all of them. And from there,
curse them for me.”
And he brought
him into the field of Zophim, to the top of
Pisgah, and built seven altars, and offered a
bullock and a ram on every altar.
So Balak took
him to the field of Zophim, to the top of
Pisgah, where he built seven altars and offered a bull and a ram on each altar.
And when he came to him, behold, he stood by his burnt offering, and the princes of Moab with him. And Balak said unto him, What hath the LORD spoken?
So he returned to Balak, who was standing there by his burnt offering with the princes of Moab. “What did the LORD say?” Balak asked.
He hath not
beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen
perverseness in Israel: the LORD his God is with
him, and the
shout of a king is among them.
He considers no
disaster for Jacob; He sees no trouble for Israel. The LORD their God is with them, and the
shout of the King is among them.
Behold, the people shall rise up as a great lion, and lift up himself as a young lion: he shall not lie down until he eat of the prey, and drink the blood of the slain.
Behold, the people rise like a
lioness; they
rouse themselves like a lion, not resting until they
devour their prey and drink the blood of the slain.”
And
Balaam lifted up his eyes, and he saw Israel
abiding in his tents according to their tribes; and the spirit of God came upon
him.
When
Balaam looked up and saw Israel
encamped tribe by tribe, the Spirit of God came upon
him,
God brought
him forth out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an
unicorn: he shall eat up the nations his enemies, and shall break their bones, and
pierce them through with his arrows.
God brought
him out of Egypt with strength like a wild ox, to
devour hostile nations and
crush their bones, to
pierce them with arrows.
He
couched, he lay down as a lion, and as a great lion: who shall
stir him up? Blessed is he that blesseth thee, and
cursed is he that curseth thee.
I shall see
him, but not now: I shall behold
him, but not
nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a
Sceptre shall rise out of Israel, and shall
smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of
Sheth.
I see
him, but not now; I behold
him, but not near. A star will come forth from Jacob, and a
scepter will arise from Israel. He will
crush the skulls of Moab and strike down all the sons of
Sheth.
Out of Jacob shall come he that shall have dominion, and shall destroy him that remaineth of the city.
A ruler will come from Jacob and destroy the survivors of the city.”
And Israel joined
himself unto
Baal-peor: and the anger of the LORD was
kindled against Israel.
So Israel joined in worshiping
Baal of Peor, and the anger of the LORD burned against them.
Wherefore say, Behold, I give unto him my covenant of peace:
Declare, therefore, that I am granting him My covenant of peace.
And he shall have it, and his seed after
him, even the covenant of an
everlasting priesthood; because he was
zealous for his God, and made an
atonement for the children of Israel.
It will be a covenant of permanent priesthood for
him and his descendants, because he was
zealous for his God and made
atonement for the Israelites.”
