And he
hewed two tables of stone like unto the first; and Moses rose up early in the morning, and went up unto mount
Sinai, as the LORD had commanded
him, and took in his hand the two tables of stone.
So Moses
chiseled out two stone tablets like the originals. He rose early in the morning, and taking the two stone tablets in his hands, he went up Mount
Sinai as the LORD had commanded
him.
And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD.
And the LORD descended in a cloud, stood with him there, and proclaimed His name, the LORD.
And the LORD passed by before
him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God,
merciful and
gracious,
longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,
Then the LORD passed in front of Moses and called out: “The LORD, the LORD God, is
compassionate and
gracious, slow to anger, abounding in loving devotion and faithfulness,
But the
firstling of an
ass thou shalt
redeem with a lamb: and if thou
redeem him not, then shalt thou break his neck. All the
firstborn of thy sons thou shalt
redeem. And none shall appear before me empty.
And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount
Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses’ hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses
wist not that the skin of his face
shone while he talked with
him.
And when Moses came down from Mount
Sinai with the two tablets of the Testimony in his hands, he was unaware that his face had become
radiant from speaking with the LORD.
And when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face
shone; and they were afraid to come
nigh him.
Aaron and all the Israelites looked at Moses, and behold, his face was
radiant. And they were afraid to approach
him.
And Moses called unto them; and Aaron and all the rulers of the congregation returned unto him: and Moses talked with them.
But Moses called out to them; so Aaron and all the leaders of the congregation returned to him, and Moses spoke to them.
And afterward all the children of Israel came
nigh: and he gave them in commandment all that the LORD had spoken with
him in mount
Sinai.
And after this all the Israelites came near, and Moses commanded them to do everything that the LORD had told
him on Mount
Sinai.
But when Moses went in before the LORD to speak with
him, he took the
vail off, until he came out. And he came out, and spake unto the children of Israel that which he was commanded.
But whenever Moses went in before the LORD to speak with
Him, he would remove the
veil until he came out. And when he came out, he would tell the Israelites what he had been commanded,
And the children of Israel saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses’ face
shone: and Moses put the
vail upon his face again, until he went in to speak with
him.
and the Israelites would see that the face of Moses was
radiant. So Moses would put the
veil back over his face until he went in to speak with the LORD.
Take ye from among you an offering unto the LORD:
whosoever is of a willing heart, let
him bring it, an offering of the LORD; gold, and silver, and brass,
Take from among you an offering to the LORD. Let
everyone whose heart is willing bring an offering to the LORD: gold, silver, and bronze;
And they came, every one whose heart
stirred him up, and every one whom his spirit made willing, and they brought the LORD’S offering to the work of the tabernacle of the congregation, and for all his service, and for the holy garments.
And
everyone whose heart
stirred him and whose spirit
prompted him came and brought an offering to the LORD for the work on the Tent of Meeting, for all its services, and for the holy garments.
And he hath filled
him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of
workmanship;
And He has filled
him with the Spirit of God, with skill, ability, and knowledge in all kinds of
craftsmanship,
And he hath put in his heart that he may teach, both he, and Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of
Dan.
And the LORD has given both
him and Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of
Dan, the ability to teach others.
And Moses called Bezaleel and Aholiab, and every wise hearted man, in whose heart the LORD had put wisdom, even every one whose heart
stirred him up to come unto the work to do it:
Then Moses summoned Bezalel, Oholiab, and every skilled person whom the LORD had gifted—
everyone whose heart
stirred him to come and do the work.
And they received of Moses all the offering, which the children of Israel had brought for the work of the service of the sanctuary, to make it
withal. And they brought yet unto
him free offerings every morning.
They received from Moses all the contributions that the Israelites had brought to carry out the service of constructing the sanctuary. Meanwhile, the people continued to bring
freewill offerings morning after morning,
With
him was Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of
Dan, an
engraver, designer, and
embroiderer in blue, purple, and scarlet yarn and fine linen.
And thou shalt put upon Aaron the holy garments, and
anoint him, and
sanctify him; that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office.
And you are to
clothe Aaron with the holy garments,
anoint him, and
consecrate him, so that he may serve Me as a priest.
Thus did Moses: according to all that the LORD commanded him, so did he.
Moses did everything just as the LORD had commanded him.
And he spread abroad the tent over the tabernacle, and put the covering of the tent above upon it; as the LORD commanded Moses.
Then he spread the tent over the tabernacle and put the covering over the tent, just as the LORD had commanded him.
And he brought the ark into the tabernacle, and set up the
vail of the covering, and covered the ark of the testimony; as the LORD commanded Moses.
Then he brought the ark into the tabernacle, put up the
veil for the screen, and shielded off the ark of the Testimony, just as the LORD had commanded
him.
And he set the bread in order upon it before the LORD; as the LORD had commanded Moses.
He arranged the bread on it before the LORD, just as the LORD had commanded him.
And he lighted the lamps before the LORD; as the LORD commanded Moses.
and set up the lamps before the LORD, just as the LORD had commanded him.
And he burnt sweet incense
thereon; as the LORD commanded Moses.
and he burned
fragrant incense on it, just as the LORD had commanded
him.
And he put the altar of burnt offering by the door of the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation, and offered upon it the burnt offering and the meat offering; as the LORD commanded Moses.
He placed the altar of burnt offering near the entrance to the tabernacle, the Tent of Meeting, and offered on it the burnt offering and the grain offering, just as the LORD had commanded him.
And the LORD called unto Moses, and spake unto him out of the tabernacle of the congregation, saying,
Then the LORD called to Moses and spoke to him from the Tent of Meeting, saying,
If his offering be a burnt sacrifice of the
herd, let
him offer a male without
blemish: he shall offer it of his own voluntary will at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the LORD.
If one’s offering is a burnt offering from the
herd, he is to present an
unblemished male. He must bring it to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting for its acceptance before the LORD.
And he shall put his hand upon the head of the burnt offering; and it shall be accepted for
him to make
atonement for
him.
He is to lay his hand on the head of the burnt offering, so it can be accepted on his behalf to make
atonement for
him.
If the priest that is
anointed do sin according to the sin of the people; then let
him bring for his sin, which he hath
sinned, a young
bullock without
blemish unto the LORD for a sin offering.
If the
anointed priest sins, bringing guilt on the people, he must bring to the LORD a young bull without
blemish as a sin offering for the sin he has committed.
Even the whole
bullock shall he carry forth without the camp unto a clean place, where the ashes are poured out, and burn
him on the wood with fire: where the ashes are poured out shall he be burnt.
all the rest of the bull—he must take outside the camp to a
ceremonially clean place where the ashes are poured out, and there he must burn it on a wood fire on the ash
heap.
When the sin, which they have
sinned against it, is known, then the congregation shall offer a young
bullock for the sin, and bring
him before the tabernacle of the congregation.
when they become aware of the sin they have committed, then the assembly must bring a young bull as a sin offering and present it before the Tent of Meeting.
And he shall take all his fat from him, and burn it upon the altar.
And he is to remove all the fat from it and burn it on the altar.
And he shall carry forth the
bullock without the camp, and burn
him as he burned the first
bullock: it is a sin offering for the congregation.
Then he is to take the bull outside the camp and burn it, just as he burned the first bull. It is the sin offering for the assembly.
And he shall burn all his fat upon the altar, as the fat of the sacrifice of peace offerings: and the priest shall make an
atonement for
him as concerning his sin, and it shall be
forgiven him.
He must burn all its fat on the altar, like the fat of the peace offerings; thus the priest will make
atonement for that man’s sin, and he will be
forgiven.
And he shall take away all the fat thereof, as the fat is taken away from off the sacrifice of peace offerings; and the priest shall burn it upon the altar for a sweet savour unto the LORD; and the priest shall make an
atonement for
him, and it shall be
forgiven him.
Then he is to remove all the fat, just as it is removed from the peace offering, and the priest is to burn it on the altar as a pleasing
aroma to the LORD. In this way the priest will make
atonement for
him, and he will be
forgiven.
And he shall take away all the fat thereof, as the fat of the lamb is taken away from the sacrifice of the peace offerings; and the priest shall burn them upon the altar, according to the offerings made by fire unto the LORD: and the priest shall make an
atonement for his sin that he hath committed, and it shall be
forgiven him.
And he shall remove all the fat, just as the fat of the lamb is removed from the peace offerings, and he shall burn it on the altar along with the offerings made by fire to the LORD. In this way the priest will make
atonement for
him for the sin he has committed, and he will be
forgiven.
Or if a soul touch any unclean thing, whether it be a
carcase of an unclean beast, or a
carcase of unclean cattle, or the
carcase of unclean
creeping things, and if it be hidden from
him; he also shall be unclean, and guilty.
Or if a person touches anything unclean—whether the
carcass of any unclean wild animal or
livestock or
crawling creature—even if he is unaware of it, he is unclean and guilty.
Or if he touch the uncleanness of man,
whatsoever uncleanness it be that a man shall be
defiled withal, and it be
hid from
him; when he knoweth of it, then he shall be guilty.
Or if he touches human uncleanness—anything by which one becomes unclean—even if he is unaware of it, when he realizes it, he is guilty.
Or if a soul
swear,
pronouncing with his lips to do evil, or to do good,
whatsoever it be that a man shall
pronounce with an oath, and it be
hid from
him; when he knoweth of it, then he shall be guilty in one of these.
Or if someone swears
thoughtlessly with his lips to do anything good or evil—in whatever matter a man may
rashly pronounce an oath—even if he is unaware of it, when he realizes it, he is guilty in the matter.
And he shall bring his
trespass offering unto the LORD for his sin which he hath
sinned, a female from the flock, a lamb or a
kid of the goats, for a sin offering; and the priest shall make an
atonement for
him concerning his sin.
and he must bring his guilt offering to the LORD for the sin he has committed: a female lamb or goat from the flock as a sin offering. And the priest will make
atonement for
him concerning his sin.
And he shall offer the second for a burnt offering, according to the manner: and the priest shall make an
atonement for
him for his sin which he hath
sinned, and it shall be
forgiven him.
And the priest must prepare the second bird as a burnt offering according to the
ordinance. In this way the priest will make
atonement for
him for the sin he has committed, and he will be
forgiven.
And the priest shall make an
atonement for
him as touching his sin that he hath
sinned in one of these, and it shall be
forgiven him: and the
remnant shall be the priest’s, as a meat offering.
In this way the priest will make
atonement for
him for any of these sins he has committed, and he will be
forgiven. The remainder will belong to the priest, like the grain offering.”
And he shall make
amends for the
harm that he hath done in the holy thing, and shall add the fifth part
thereto, and give it unto the priest: and the priest shall make an
atonement for
him with the ram of the
trespass offering, and it shall be
forgiven him.
Regarding any holy thing he has
harmed, he must make
restitution by adding a fifth of its value to it and giving it to the priest, who will make
atonement on his behalf with the ram as a guilt offering, and he will be
forgiven.
And he shall bring a ram without
blemish out of the flock, with thy
estimation, for a
trespass offering, unto the priest: and the priest shall make an
atonement for
him concerning his ignorance wherein he
erred and
wist it not, and it shall be
forgiven him.
He is to bring to the priest an
unblemished ram of proper value from the flock as a guilt offering. Then the priest will make
atonement on his behalf for the wrong he has committed in ignorance, and he will be
forgiven.
If a soul sin, and commit a
trespass against the LORD, and lie unto his neighbour in that which was delivered
him to keep, or in
fellowship, or in a thing taken away by violence, or hath
deceived his neighbour;
“If someone sins and acts unfaithfully against the LORD by
deceiving his
neighbor in regard to a deposit or security entrusted to
him or
stolen, or if he extorts his
neighbor Then it shall be, because he hath
sinned, and is guilty, that he shall restore that which he took violently away, or the thing which he hath
deceitfully gotten, or that which was delivered
him to keep, or the lost thing which he found,
once he has
sinned and becomes guilty, he must return what he has
stolen or taken by
extortion, or the deposit entrusted to
him, or the lost property he found,
Or all that about which he hath
sworn falsely; he shall even restore it in the principal, and shall add the fifth part more
thereto, and give it unto
him to whom it appertaineth, in the day of his
trespass offering.
or anything else about which he has
sworn falsely. He must make
restitution in full, add a fifth of the value, and pay it to the owner on the day he acknowledges his guilt.
And the priest shall make an
atonement for
him before the LORD: and it shall be
forgiven him for any thing of all that he hath done in
trespassing therein.
In this way the priest will make
atonement for
him before the LORD, and he will be
forgiven for anything he may have done to
incur guilt.”
And the priest that offereth any man’s burnt offering, even the priest shall have to himself the skin of the burnt offering which he hath offered.
As for the priest who presents a burnt offering for
anyone, the hide of that offering belongs to
him.
And if any of the flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offerings be eaten at all on the third day, it shall not be accepted, neither shall it be imputed unto
him that offereth it: it shall be an
abomination, and the soul that eateth of it shall bear his iniquity.
If any of the meat from his peace offering is eaten on the third day, it will not be accepted. It will not be credited to the one who presented it; it shall be an
abomination, and the one who eats of it shall bear his iniquity.
But the soul that eateth of the flesh of the sacrifice of peace offerings, that
pertain unto the LORD, having his uncleanness upon
him, even that soul shall be cut off from his people.
But if
anyone who is unclean eats meat from the peace offering that belongs to the LORD, that person must be cut off from his people.
“Take Aaron and his sons, their garments, the
anointing oil, the bull of the sin offering, the two rams, and the
basket of
unleavened bread,
And Moses did as the LORD commanded him; and the assembly was gathered together unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
So Moses did as the LORD had commanded him, and the assembly gathered at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.
Then he put the breastpiece on
him and placed the
Urim and
Thummim in the breastpiece.
And he put the
mitre upon his head; also upon the
mitre, even upon his
forefront, did he put the golden plate, the holy crown; as the LORD commanded Moses.
Moses also put the
turban on Aaron’s head and set the gold plate, the holy
diadem, on the front of the
turban, as the LORD had commanded
him.
And Moses brought Aaron’s sons, and put coats upon them, and
girded them with girdles, and put bonnets upon them; as the LORD commanded Moses.
Then Moses presented Aaron’s sons, put tunics on them,
wrapped sashes around them, and
tied headbands on them, just as the LORD had commanded
him.
But the
bullock, and his hide, his flesh, and his dung, he burnt with fire without the camp; as the LORD commanded Moses.
But the bull with its hide, flesh, and dung he burned outside the camp, as the LORD had commanded him.
And Moses took the breast, and waved it for a wave offering before the LORD: for of the ram of
consecration it was Moses’ part; as the LORD commanded Moses.
He also took the breast—Moses’ portion of the ram of
ordination—and waved it before the LORD as a wave offering, as the LORD had commanded
him.
And Moses took of the
anointing oil, and of the blood which was upon the altar, and
sprinkled it upon Aaron, and upon his garments, and upon his sons, and upon his sons’ garments with
him; and
sanctified Aaron, and his garments, and his sons, and his sons’ garments with
him.
Next, Moses took some of the
anointing oil and some of the blood that was on the altar and
sprinkled them on Aaron and his garments, and on his sons and their garments. So he consecrated Aaron and his garments, as well as Aaron’s sons and their garments.
Aaron therefore went unto the altar, and
slew the
calf of the sin offering, which was for
himself.
So Aaron approached the altar and slaughtered the
calf as a sin offering for
himself.
And the sons of Aaron brought the blood unto
him: and he
dipped his finger in the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar, and poured out the blood at the bottom of the altar:
The sons of Aaron brought the blood to
him, and he
dipped his finger in the blood and applied it to the horns of the altar. And he poured out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar.
And he
slew the burnt offering; and Aaron’s sons presented unto
him the blood, which he
sprinkled round about upon the altar.
Then Aaron slaughtered the burnt offering. His sons brought
him the blood, and he
sprinkled it on all sides of the altar.
And they presented the burnt offering unto him, with the pieces thereof, and the head: and he burnt them upon the altar.
They brought him the burnt offering piece by piece, including the head, and he burned them on the altar.
He
slew also the
bullock and the ram for a sacrifice of peace offerings, which was for the people: and Aaron’s sons presented unto
him the blood, which he
sprinkled upon the altar round about,
Then he slaughtered the ox and the ram as the people’s peace offering. His sons brought
him the blood, and he
sprinkled it on all sides of the altar.
And the priest shall look on the plague in the skin of the flesh: and when the hair in the plague is turned white, and the plague in sight be deeper than the skin of his flesh, it is a plague of
leprosy: and the priest shall look on
him, and
pronounce him unclean.
The priest is to examine the
infection on his skin, and if the hair in the
infection has turned white and the
sore appears to be deeper than the skin, it is a skin disease. After the priest examines
him, he must
pronounce him unclean.
If the bright spot be white in the skin of his flesh, and in sight be not deeper than the skin, and the hair thereof be not turned white; then the priest shall shut up him that hath the plague seven days:
If, however, the spot on his skin is white and does not appear to be deeper than the skin, and the hair in it has not turned white, the priest shall
isolate the
infected person for seven days.
And the priest shall look on him the seventh day: and, behold, if the plague in his sight be at a stay, and the plague spread not in the skin; then the priest shall shut him up seven days more:
On the seventh day the priest is to reexamine
him, and if he sees that the
infection is unchanged and has not spread on the skin, the priest must
isolate him for another seven days.
And the priest shall look on
him again the seventh day: and, behold, if the plague be somewhat dark, and the plague spread not in the skin, the priest shall
pronounce him clean: it is but a
scab: and he shall wash his clothes, and be clean.
The priest will examine
him again on the seventh day, and if the
sore has
faded and has not spread on the skin, the priest shall
pronounce him clean; it is a
rash. The person must wash his clothes and be clean.
But if the
scab spread much abroad in the skin, after that he hath been seen of the priest for his
cleansing, he shall be seen of the priest again:
But if the
rash spreads further on his skin after he has shown
himself to the priest for his
cleansing, he must present
himself again to the priest.
And if the priest see that, behold, the
scab spreadeth in the skin, then the priest shall
pronounce him unclean: it is a
leprosy.
The priest will reexamine
him, and if the
rash has spread on the skin, the priest must
pronounce him unclean; he has a skin disease.
And the priest shall see him: and, behold, if the rising be white in the skin, and it have turned the hair white, and there be quick raw flesh in the rising;
The priest will examine him, and if there is a white swelling on the skin that has turned the hair white, and there is raw flesh in the swelling,
It is an old
leprosy in the skin of his flesh, and the priest shall
pronounce him unclean, and shall not shut
him up: for he is unclean.
it is a
chronic skin disease and the priest must
pronounce him unclean. He need not
isolate him, for he is unclean.
And if a
leprosy break out abroad in the skin, and the
leprosy cover all the skin of
him that hath the plague from his head even to his foot,
wheresoever the priest looketh;
But if the skin disease breaks out all over his skin so that it covers all the skin of the
infected person from head to foot, as far as the priest can see,
Then the priest shall consider: and, behold, if the
leprosy have covered all his flesh, he shall
pronounce him clean that hath the plague: it is all turned white: he is clean.
the priest shall examine
him, and if the disease has covered his entire body, he is to
pronounce the
infected person clean. Since it has all turned white, he is clean.
But when raw flesh appeareth in him, he shall be unclean.
But whenever raw flesh appears on someone, he will be unclean.
And the priest shall see the raw flesh, and
pronounce him to be unclean: for the raw flesh is unclean: it is a
leprosy.
When the priest sees the raw flesh, he must
pronounce him unclean. The raw flesh is unclean; it is a skin disease.
And the priest shall see
him: and, behold, if the plague be turned into white; then the priest shall
pronounce him clean that hath the plague: he is clean.
The priest will reexamine
him, and if the
infection has turned white, the priest is to
pronounce the
infected person clean; then he is clean.
And in the place of the
boil there be a white rising, or a bright spot, white, and somewhat reddish, and it be shewed to the priest;
and a white swelling or a reddish-white spot develops where the
boil was, he must present
himself to the priest.
And if, when the priest
seeth it, behold, it be in sight lower than the skin, and the hair thereof be turned white; the priest shall
pronounce him unclean: it is a plague of
leprosy broken out of the
boil.
The priest shall examine it, and if it appears to be beneath the skin and the hair in it has turned white, the priest shall
pronounce him unclean; it is a diseased
infection that has broken out in the
boil.
But if the priest look on it, and, behold, there be no white hairs therein, and if it be not lower than the skin, but be somewhat dark; then the priest shall shut him up seven days:
But when the priest examines it, if there is no white hair in it, and it is not beneath the skin and has
faded, the priest shall
isolate him for seven days.
And if it spread much abroad in the skin, then the priest shall
pronounce him unclean: it is a plague.
If it spreads any further on the skin, the priest must
pronounce him unclean; it is an
infection.
But if the bright spot stay in his place, and spread not, it is a burning
boil; and the priest shall
pronounce him clean.
But if the spot remains unchanged and does not spread, it is only the
scar from the
boil, and the priest shall
pronounce him clean.
Then the priest shall look upon it: and, behold, if the hair in the bright spot be turned white, and it be in sight deeper than the skin; it is a
leprosy broken out of the burning: wherefore the priest shall
pronounce him unclean: it is the plague of
leprosy.
the priest must examine it. If the hair in the spot has turned white and the spot appears to be deeper than the skin, it is a disease that has broken out in the burn. The priest must
pronounce him unclean; it is a diseased
infection.
But if the priest look on it, and, behold, there be no white hair in the bright spot, and it be no lower than the other skin, but be somewhat dark; then the priest shall shut him up seven days:
But if the priest examines it and there is no white hair in the spot, and it is not beneath the skin but has
faded, the priest shall
isolate him for seven days.
And the priest shall look upon
him the seventh day: and if it be spread much abroad in the skin, then the priest shall
pronounce him unclean: it is the plague of
leprosy.
On the seventh day the priest is to reexamine
him, and if it has spread further on the skin, the priest must
pronounce him unclean; it is a diseased
infection.
And if the bright spot stay in his place, and spread not in the skin, but it be somewhat dark; it is a rising of the burning, and the priest shall
pronounce him clean: for it is an inflammation of the burning.
But if the spot is unchanged and has not spread on the skin but has
faded, it is a swelling from the burn, and the priest is to
pronounce him clean; for it is only the
scar from the burn.
Then the priest shall see the plague: and, behold, if it be in sight deeper than the skin; and there be in it a yellow thin hair; then the priest shall
pronounce him unclean: it is a dry
scall, even a
leprosy upon the head or
beard.
the priest shall examine the
infection, and if it appears to be deeper than the skin and the hair in it is yellow and thin, the priest must
pronounce him unclean; it is a
scaly outbreak, an
infectious disease of the head or
chin.
And if the priest look on the plague of the
scall, and, behold, it be not in sight deeper than the skin, and that there is no black hair in it; then the priest shall shut up
him that hath the plague of the
scall seven days:
But if the priest examines the
scaly infection and it does not appear to be deeper than the skin, and there is no black hair in it, the priest shall
isolate the
infected person for seven days.
He shall be
shaven, but the
scall shall he not
shave; and the priest shall shut up
him that hath the
scall seven days more:
then the person must
shave himself except for the
scaly area. Then the priest shall
isolate him for another seven days.
And in the seventh day the priest shall look on the
scall: and, behold, if the
scall be not spread in the skin, nor be in sight deeper than the skin; then the priest shall
pronounce him clean: and he shall wash his clothes, and be clean.
On the seventh day the priest shall examine the
scaly outbreak, and if it has not spread on the skin and does not appear to be deeper than the skin, the priest is to
pronounce him clean. He must wash his clothes, and he will be clean.
Then the priest shall look on
him: and, behold, if the
scall be spread in the skin, the priest shall not seek for yellow hair; he is unclean.
the priest is to examine
him, and if the
scaly outbreak has spread on the skin, the priest need not look for yellow hair; the person is unclean.
But if the
scall be in his sight at a stay, and that there is black hair grown up therein; the
scall is
healed, he is clean: and the priest shall
pronounce him clean.
If, however, in his sight the
scaly outbreak is unchanged and black hair has grown in it, then it has
healed. He is clean, and the priest is to
pronounce him clean.
Then the priest shall look upon it: and, behold, if the rising of the
sore be white reddish in his
bald head, or in his
bald forehead, as the
leprosy appeareth in the skin of the flesh;
The priest is to examine
him, and if the swelling of the
infection on his
bald head or
forehead is reddish-white like a skin disease,
He is a
leprous man, he is unclean: the priest shall
pronounce him utterly unclean; his plague is in his head.
the man is diseased; he is unclean. The priest must
pronounce him unclean because of the
infection on his head.
All the days wherein the plague shall be in
him he shall be
defiled; he is unclean: he shall dwell alone; without the camp shall his
habitation be.
As long as he has the
infection, he remains unclean. He must live alone in a place outside the camp.
And the priest shall go forth out of the camp; and the priest shall look, and, behold, if the plague of
leprosy be
healed in the
leper;
The priest is to go outside the camp to examine
him, and if the skin disease of the
afflicted person has
healed,
Then shall the priest command to take for
him that is to be
cleansed two birds alive and clean, and
cedar wood, and scarlet, and
hyssop:
the priest shall order that two live clean birds,
cedar wood, scarlet yarn, and
hyssop be brought for the one to be
cleansed.
And he shall
sprinkle upon
him that is to be
cleansed from the
leprosy seven times, and shall
